Chapter 13
The sun started to rise, and it's shining was bright, it was pretty strange for fall, but it still it was good that the weather was sunny and pretty warm. Pavel was sleeping in his bed, the boy didn't seem to get up, but the sunshine started to shine in his eyes, so the boy grudgingly opened them and got up from his bed, he looked at his telephone that was on the bed side table, "Man, so much time till the lessons and the sun disturbed my sweet dream." the time was eight o'clock, while he was to go to the second lesson.
"Still want to sleep?" Pavel heard familiar voice, who was talking in Russian.
"When have you got up?" Pavel asked turning to his teacher.
"About hour and a half." Oleg Semenovich merely said.
"Man, you still don't know how to rest." Pavel turned to the teacher. Oleg was sitting at the table showing his back to the boy, he quickly understood that he was reading something.
"I hope you didn't forget that we have an important mission today." Oleg responded not turning around.
"Yes, yes." the boy yawned, "We have to kick some butts of our criminal friends."
"Yes, and I'm thinking of a strategy, how to fight them perfectly." Oleg said seriously.
The boy got up, "And what have you thought?" Pavel was wearing a white T-shirt with black shorts, the first thing after getting up he did was stretching up.
"Nothing direct." Oleg shook with his head, and turned to the boy, "I can't predict what opponents our teams will meet."
"Yes, it's a big problem." the boy thought, "Each of them is a unique skunk, especially the French and Archon. I'm also telling nothing about Mystic."
"Yes, you understand me." Oleg nodded, "For example, if your team meet Archon or Etienne, you'll need different strategies, and if those demons appear that had attacked us along with them, you'll absolutely another one."
"I'd like to fight with that dinosaur again." Pavel said encouraged, "I still owe him for my rib, and with whom you would like to fight?" Pavel ask his teacher working on his legs.
"I don't think about this." the teacher responded, "I will fight those whom I'll encounter, so you must think the same too." Oleg, turned around and then asked Pavel, "By the way, what about Andou? Have you found a way to talk with her?"
"Well, I'm still working on it."
"I see, and progress?"
"Well." Pavel stopped his warming up, and sat onto the bed, "There's and there's no at the same time." Pavel sighed.
"What do you mean?" Oleg didn't understand the teacher even turned around to the boy again.
"If you mean about the progress with Masami then the answer is negative, if you mean gathering information about her, then I have some progress in it."
"And what progress could you get in gathering the information?"
"First, I know now where is her secret place, where she always spends her time, second as Hirata-sensei said, choosing such way of communicating with her, is much better than an ordinary tries to talk with her." Pavel saw puzzlement in the eyes of his teacher, so he decided to be clear, "As she told me I'm the first one who tried to communicate with her in such way, and as she noticed, Masami, acts a bit different towards me because of it."
"I see." Oleg said, pondering too, "If everything what you tell me is true, then everything is much better than I thought and what about getting in touch with her?"
"Well, there's a bit worse than wanted."
"Have you done something stupid?"
"Yes, I made her angry." he exhaled, "Sensei told me that she must give her some time for cooling down for the duration of our mission, and then I should go to her place and ask for forgiveness."
"Well, not a bad plan I must admit, I'm glad that we can rely on Chikeko, and another question, who told you about her privet place?"
"It was Ren." Pavel responded him.
"Never thought that she will help something like this." Oleg was surprised, "What has come over her?"
"Well, I don't know myself." but then a sudden thought visited his mind, 'Maybe, Maria Sergeievna has said her something? But… No it's impossible, she knows nothing about Chikeko.' he shook with his head, "And what about your trainings with Tatsurou?" Pavel asked his teacher this time.
"Good, he learn everything fast, if he keeps working in such way, he will quickly have the heels of you Rinko and perhaps some other teachers."
"Wow, really?"
"Yes, but still, his indecisiveness really irritate." Oleg grunted.
"And what have you studied last?"
"Seals." Oleg merely replied, "I explained him their work."
"Man, when I'll find my true power." Pavel moaned, "Almost all of indigenous students have found their elemental powers! Not fair!"
"Don't worry, I know some hunters that revealed their elemental powers being adult people, so you still have lots of time for it." Oleg chuckled.
"Not funny!" Pavel didn't like that.
"Sorry, but still there's no need to hurry with it." Oleg became serious, "You're pretty skillful hunter even without these abilities, sometime they only blind…" he wasn't able to finish as he was interrupted.
"And don't give a clear opportunity to fight your enemies." Pavel said putting a semblance that he is teacher or someone's mentor.
"I'm glad that you remember my words."
"Yes, but they also give an opportunity to fight enemies better and gives lots of opportunities to amuse and distract enemies."
"Yes, you're right." Oleg nodded, "But still I hope that they will reveal soon, I'm interested in seeing them."
"Don't worry you and Maria Sergeievna will be the first ones who will see them."
"I thought that the first one will be Ikenami." Oleg decided to tease his student.
"Or maybe she will be the first one." Pavel decided to play along to Oleg.
"Well, don't know what you're going to do now, but I'm going to have a breakfast are you in?" Oleg asked the boy getting up from the chair and going to the door.
"Yeah, I'm in too." Pavel said with a smile and followed his teacher.
They left their room, and followed ahead by the corridor they reached the ladder and went downstairs, they reached the hall and the turned left and then they found something that reminded a dining room.
"Oh, you have already got up?" they heard a sweet female's voice. They turned to the right and saw a beautiful woman with soft feature of face, black eyes and blue hair. She was wearing a pink blouse, along with white long skirt, "I thought you were going to sleep more today."
"No, Miwa-san today we have a mission, so we have to think everything clearly." Pavel said with a smile.
"I see, then I will cook something special for you today." the woman said smiling and went somewhere, she only knew.
"I still can't belive that someone cooks for us in the dormitory in the morning." Pavel said, "I get used that I always cooked for myself."
"The same is here." Oleg nodded sitting at the table.
"So when we will go to Vlasova-sensei?" Pavel decided to call his mentor in Japanese style.
Oleg gave a hum of approbation and said, "Straight before the mission, I think in an hour before it, she will need time to create barriers, it's not an easy work I must say."
"Did you talk with her about it?" Pavel asked his teacher.
"No, I think it'll be much better to do this in the evening, she will get mad at from such idea, and to make her mad is the last thing I want." he confessed.
"It would be really good if we could take them with us."
"Impossible." Oleg shook with his head, "First Asagi won't agree with this idea, second Maria will be exhausted after using her abilities on such big crowd."
"But what about Ilya? His abilities could be really useful for us."
"As I remember, his gins were destroyed, am right?" Oleg asked his student, Pavel nodded, "Here's the problem without his guns he will do absolutely nothing." he saw that Pavel wanted to say something, so he quickly didn't allow him to do this, "And at the same time, I don't think that they have someone with light abilities, his guns were done for personal using, so there's no other opportunities for us to find him a perfect change."
"I see." Pavel said, "I wanted to ask, why you decided to put me in the team with Ren? I mean you could offer to put me with Tatsurou or Maki or someone else instead."
"As Chikeko told you and Ikenami were fighting really well, at the same time you have already worked under her guidance, so it'll be much easier for you to work with her, you also have fought her before during your training, so you must understand where her weak points are, and protect them."
"So it was just a cold calculation, huh?"
"And as I remember, you always looked for an opportunity to have some time with her." then Pavel laughed.
"Man, I can't belive that you decided to let us work with each other, just because of it.." he said laughing.
"Here boys." Miwa entered the dining room, with two plates, on each of them was the same dish; it consisted of vegetables and meat and some rice, "If you have a mission today, you must eat properly."
"Thank you a lot." Oleg thanked the woman.
"Don't thank me, it's my job to take care of you." the woman responded and put the plates onto the table, "I decided to cook something new for you, so if you have any requests just say me."
The male nodded and started to eat his breakfast.
"Do you have any discomfort?" Archon asked the purple haired girl, holding his hand on her forehead, the man with scars on his face keeps his eyes closed.
"No, why should I?" the girl asked the man.
"Nothing." Archon merely replied, "Just want to know that my work was done successfully."
"No, I don't feel anything strange, I had some feeling before, but after some procedures with you, it disappeared."
"What do you mean?" Archon asked her again opening his eyes.
"Well, I can't explain it well, I just felt how my head was aching slightly." the girl answered.
"I see." Anatoly removed his hand from her fore head and put it onto his chin, 'Headache? Well, it's interesting, could y little sister do something that I don't know about?' he asked himself and then put his hand onto her forehead again, 'From the first view nothing special.' then he asked the girl, "Where did you have the headache?"
"In the back of the head." she replied him.
"Let's look there." he replied. Archon stopped his talking, and continued his investigation over the girl's mind, his face expressed nothing, "No still can't find." he exhaled.
Suddenly the door of the room where they were opened and they heard a voice of the grey haired French scientist.
"So, Archon, is everything fine with my precious Liza?"
"I presume yes." he replied removing his hand from the girl's head and opening his eyes, "I haven't found anything strange in her, so your worries were excessive."
"I see." the man came to the girl, "So are you ready for the mission, my dear salve?"
"Yes, master." the girl nodded, "I can't wait, to bring you some new instances, and I have one in my mind." the girl licked her lips.
"Really?" Etienne was surprised, "And who it could be?"
"The girl that I met when we firstly encountered Taimanin, she was fighting with gloves." she explained.
"I know who you're talking about." Etienne smiled, "Pretty interesting instance, but I'd like to get the one with big breasts and purple hair. I find her really peculiar, or I'd like to take someone from veteran hunters like Yatsu Murasaki or Igawa Sisters."
"Don't worry master sooner or later, they will be yours too." the girl kissed the cheek of the French; "I'll go and prepare myself."
"Do it." he nodded, and after a moment Archon and Etienne left in the room together, but after some seconds they left the room too.
"Have you prepared yourself?" Archon asked Etienne.
"Yes." the man nodded, "This time I won't play with them, and will fight seriously from the beginning."
"Me too." Archon said, "This time we have to try to capture at least one or two targets, and make good slaves out of them."
"Yes, I'd like to have another assistant in my possession, and I hope that my wish will be fulfilled."
"Dream on, I don't think that Mystic will allow you to have another slave near with you, the least he will do is turn him or her into the servant of our organization."
"Yes, but still I hope that he will allow me to play with her too."
They did another turn and saw a woman in blue uniform with two swords on her back, and the man in the cloak with the hood, "I'm glad that you're here." Mystic said, and then added, "Let's go and discuss our formation during this mission."
"I hope that you remember my demand?" Etienne asked him looking at Naomi.
"Don't worry, I remember what you said me." he responded and then the four went to the big room with chairs that served as a conference room for them. Etienne was talking with Archon, the French was cutting up rough at Naomi, who was walking and talking with Mystic.
"Let me get the neck of this egocentric clown." Naomi said quietly.
"Naomi, I told you not to pay attention at Etienne, while you're here he is your comrade, I know he can be unbearable, but still he is a very valuable member of our team." he said quietly too, it was good that Etienne and Archon were talking pretty loud so they couldn't hear their talk.
"Couldn't you find someone better for your organization? I mean, there's lots of other different scientists who could work for you, why did you choose him from them all?"
"Etienne is special." Mystic said, "He is not just an ordinary scientist, he is also a good fighter, at the same time his projects are really impressive, each of our member is a unique and valuable unit, Archon, Przemislav, Torch Etienne, and others who still haven't come to Japan."
"I understand this, but he is the only one I hate a lot." Naomi confessed, "I feel nothing towards Torch or Przemislav, but this French clown irritates me a lot especially for his megalomania."
"Lots of people dislike Richar, but still hide this feeling as they understand he is really important person, that's why I ask you to do the same."
"I'll try." Naomi responded.
They finally reached the needed room, and when they opened it they saw another bunch of people; one was wearing red ninja uniform with green scarf, Izumi. Another one was a demon that reminded a horse with wings, it was wearing the white armor that was similar to the knight's one, Tardis. The third person was wearing armor too; his was grey with a cape that closed his back, Walter. And the last one was another person with armor, his one looked like Maria's one, the armor closed his body and above it was something that reminded a coat without sleeves, it was possible to see a sword that was in the sheath. The man had different eye, it was Wojciechowski.
"Huh, what made you to put on your uniform?" Etienne asked the Polish psychiatric.
"Chciałem tylko1… Just think that it will be good for… this mission." he answered to the French.
"Well it's pretty stylish, I always found this armor interesting, however, when I see it I have a strange sense."
"Maybe it's because my sister and her friend wear it too?"
"Yes because of it, Etienne snapped with his fingers."
While the trio was talking with each other, Mystic came to Walter, Naomi decided to come to Izumi, Tardis was standing alone and was merely watching at the people who surrounded him.
"I thought Tiradex and other demons would come too." Mystic said to Walter.
"It'll be much better without them." he merely replied, "If we had them here we had lots of questions, Tardis will inform about the results of our meeting, and they do what will be told."
"Yes, it is much better; I don't want to tense these two more." Mystic nodded at Naomi and Izumi, "They know that we're working with demons, but I don't want them to be surrounded by them."
"What a gentleman." Walter chuckled.
"What about Celine? Will she help us?" he decided to ignore the pinning of the Demon King.
"Yes, she will take you if something goes wrong." Walter nodded.
"And what about you?"
"I will help you if you encounter too much or just a really strong opponent, but still I'll be close to you."
"I see." Mystic nodded and then raised his voice, "Now, attention, please!" the talk stopped, and all of them turned to the man with the hood and the cloak, "Tonight we have an important mission and I hope that it will be successful as before, first thing I want to say is that, I'm the leader of this operation, so if you have any questions just ask me while you have such opportunity, second, I'm sure that we will encounter Taimanin today again, so I give you a special order, if you have a possibility to capture someone of them just do it, we always need strong members." he did a brief pause and then continued, "At the same time, we will go into the nest of demons, so beware and fight them without hesitation."
"I have a question." Naomi said, "I see that we have a demon in our lines." she watched at Tardis, "Are there any other demons who will work with us?"
"Yes." Mystic nodded, and watched at Walter, the Vampire king exposed three fingers of his right hand, "There will be three other demons who work with us, but you'll remember them pretty fast. Any other questions?"
"Yes, what we are to wait?" Archon asked the man with the hood.
"The most interesting thing there is a really strong wind, it's that strong that can blow away if you are heedless." he warned them.
'Is he trying to play because of them?' Przemislav thought glancing at the woman.
"Now, about the formation." he said, and almost all of them perked up, "Archon will work with Etienne."
"Perfect." Etienne smirked, "At least I won't be able to see acid mug."
"The same is here." she parried his remark.
"Second team is Naomi, Izumi and Elizabeth."
"What?!" Etienne exclaimed, "I won't let, my precious servant go with them, what if something will happen to her?"
"Etienne." Mystic turned to the French, "I promise that Naomi won't don't give her offense."
"But, I'm not sure in this." the French didn't stop, "What if she pulls something like her faithful hound Miyata, did when we could get some Taimanin?"
"You were told that I'll do everything to protect your precious servant." she said contemptuously, "And if Mystic says that I must protect her, then I'll do it."
"Yes." Etienne came to Naomi, "But somewhat I don't belive you, won't you mess up like in your base?" he chuckled. Naomi gave under and took out her sword, with one quick swing she was about to cut Etienne's neck, but the French wasn't so slow, and was able to protect himself with his own sword, "And you want me to let her go with someone explosive as you?" Etienne said with a strange smile.
"Naomi!" Mystic commanded.
"Etienne." Przemislav, decided to cool down his colleague in crime, "Zatrzymaj ten cyrk2!"
Naomi pushed Etienne and put her sword back into her sheath. Etienne did the same, and decided to return back, to his place next to Archon, but first he came back to Naomi, "Can't wait to see you on my operational table, crying and pleading me to kill you."
"The one who will plead for killing is you." Naomi whispered him.
"We'll see." and then the French returned to his place, while Naomi returned to Izumi.
"Mistress, are you alright?" she asked Naomi.
"Yes, don't think about it."
"I'm glad that we can continue." Mystic said when all of them cooled down, "Etienne, I give you my word that Naomi will protect your assistant, and something goes wrong you ask for me, is it clear?"
"Clear." Etienne looked at Naomi smiling, the woman said nothing, she only was watching at Mystic.
"Tardis will you be able to reduce the power of the wind?" he asked the Pegasus this time.
"Of course, I can do this, but I won't be able to fight then, thus to control something that strong demands a lot of powers and great focusing."
"I see." Mystic pondered, "Then Tiradex, Przemislav and some third demon will protect you."
"I also take some of my toys." Walter joined, "And if something goes wrong they will be able to protect Tardis and you three will help to others."
"Nie… not a bad plan." Przemislav agreed, and then turned to Mystic, "Tak poza tym3… What about you two?"
"Well, and Walter will work alone, as for me I have to find the source of that anomaly, while Walter will protect us from behind."
"So, he is somewhat of a standby player, isn't he?" Archon asked the leader of their squad.
"Yes, if there're more enemies than we think or there will be someone stronger than you are, then he'll join that squad that will need the help."
"Understood." Archon said, watching at the man with the gray cape.
"So, any questions?" Mystic asked the team. Mystic saw that there were no questions, "Then you're free for now, remember at eleven o'clock, we're leaving."
"Roger." everyone replied and started to leave the room, Walter covered himself with his cape and disappeared, "Naomi, wait." he asked the woman to stay in the room for a little longer.
"What is it?" she asked him when the last member of their team left the room, her voice was a bit irritated, and the man felt it.
"I want to ask you about one thing…" he wasn't able to finish as he was interrupted.
"To protect that assistant?" she asked him.
"Yes, Etienne is really a resentful person, and if he loses something that belongs to him, he became really unbearable."
"I know it." she only responded.
"That's why I ask you and Izumi to focus on her protection."
"Don't worry, I told you that I'll protect her then I'll do it."
"Nice to here." she felt how he smiled, but still didn't see it because of his hood.
"Phew, finally we have a big break!" Maki said merrily, stretching her arm and spine, as the teacher left the classroom, "I just could wait the end of such a boring lecture."
"Yes, even for me it was pretty boring today." Aki confessed too, the boy even yawned, but quickly closed his mouth.
"Hey Ren!" Maki turned to her friend, "How about to have some combat practice, before our mission we must be in good shape, am I right?"
"I don't mind." the tanned Taimanin said, "Are you with us?" she asked Pavel.
"I'm in too!" Pavel agreed too, for this, "If Aki is with us, we could make a pair fight."
"Not a bad idea." Ren said, and watched at Aki, "So?"
"I don't mind at all." the boy shrugged with his shoulders.
And then they headed to the training ground, but before this they took their uniform and weapons.
"So, Aki." Pavel decided to have some chat with the boy, "As I noticed you started to date with Maki, didn't you?"
"Well, I did." the boy quickly answered.
"And when have you started?" the Russian boy continued his interrogation. The girls were talking with each other so they didn't hear the boys' voices.
"We decided to start it during our last mission, in Sapporo." the boy answered.
"Did she confess to you or you did it?"
"She was the first one, and I accepted it." Aki didn't like that he was questioned alone, so he decided to ask Pavel too, "And what about you and Ren, as I noticed she became less suspicious towards you."
"Yes, you're right." Pavel said with a smile, "And I'm glad that she became so, indeed she is still talk to me with watchfulness, but soon I think we will become good friends."
"And from friends you're planning to start to date, aren't you?" Aki dug the side of the Russian boy.
"I don't mind at all." Pavel said watching at the back of the tanned girl.
"So, Ren." Maki turned to her friend, "Since when you became so talkative to Pavel?"
"What do you mean?" Ren didn't understand her friend.
"Come on, you know what I mean. You started to act more friendly towards him, what made you to do so?"
"Now I understand what you are meaning." Ikenami responded, "Since our last mission I think."
"Huh? What do you mean? You mean the one that you did without us?" Ikenami nodded, "What happened during it, come on I want to know!" Maki really wanted to know.
"It's difficult to explain." Ren pondered, "Lots of things happened to us during it. I'll tell you it later." Ren chuckled.
"Come on! Don't be so mysterious, just tell me."
"Well, if to be brief, the way he concerns about his comrades and even people he doesn't know at all, really impresses."
"What do you mean?" this time Maki didn't know what Ren was meaning.
"The woman and the boy that helped us during our mission didn't want to go with us to the village." Ren started to explain, "She didn't want to come because of political nuances and problems which could be created later. Pavel tried to convince her to go with us, but she rejected it, but somehow we could persuade them to go with us. Pavel didn't want to create problems for his comrades, even if had nothing towards him, and at the same time, there's another thing that impressed me in him…" she pondered.
"And what that it is?" Maki asked her friend.
"Let's keep it for another time." Ren said, "If everything is successful you will know it." she chuckled.
"Is it a secret?"
"In some ways."
They continued their way talking with each other, Maki complained Pavel about their Russian teacher, about how much of homework he gives them and that all stuff he tells during his lesson. The only thing Pavel could do is just to take compassion of her. Aki promised to explain the material, while Ren decided to protect Oleg Semenovich's lesson.
"But why the hell do we need all that stuff?! We should just smash demons! We haven't got much time to examine these demons!"
"That's why you must know what you are going to fight and how to defeat it more easily." Ren responded.
"Yes, even I found something new in his lessons." Aki joined to protect the teacher, "By the way Pavel, how did you get all that stuff about demon? I mean we know about their biology too, but not so directly as you know it."
"Man, this question should be addressed not to me." Pavel was really puzzled, "The only thing I can tell that anti demon structure always tried to examine demons, in order to know how to fight these bastards, and at the same time the origin of our powers."
"Wow!" Maki and Aki were astonished, "But you told that the demonic influence was decreased in your country, so how do you capture them now?" Aki asked the boy, Ren decided to listen too.
"Well, when I told you that we decreased the population of demon is Russia t wasn't too correct." Pavel sighed confessing, "I ask you not to tell this to anyone will you do it?" all of them stopped, the wind was blowing and there were few people outside, all four people nodded, "How should I say it better, the demons is still a threat number one to us, of course after 'The Third Law', I've heard it occasionally in Russia, I know it was just a talk, but I'm sure in it." All of them tensed really much, "But I think the true reason of our presence her is not just to build good relations with, but become true allies in fighting demon, UFS and Chinese Union."
"What?!" all of them exclaimed.
We are not so good in fighting and in the awaking skills as you are, and that's why my country decided to exchange some information with yours in such extraordinary way."
"Well if everything is so then why don't tell it straight to Igawa-sensei?" Aki asked, "Why do you hide it?"
"That's a political game." Ren exhaled, "These scums always hide the truth under lots of secrets, so there's no way for us to know it."
"I'm glad that you understand it." Pavel smiled, "I really don't want you to tell this to anyone, if Oleg Semenovich know that I told you this, he really will get angry." he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Don't worry we won't." Aki put his hand onto the boy's shoulder.
"Yeah!" Maki exclaimed, and hit the boy at his back, "After all we're friends and friends keep secrets of each other, am I right Ren?"
"Yes, you're right." Ren smiled too, "Be calm and don't think about it."
"Thanks guys." Pavel exhaled, I hope that I have vanished some suspiciousness to you."
"Don't worry you did." Ren continued with the same smile."
After some time they finally get to the training facility, they got changed into their uniform and went to the room that was created for fights, when they entered it they were surprised from what they saw there. They saw how Oleg Semenovich was fighting with Chikeko Hirata. The combat was really intense, like really professional supposed to fight. Hirata was fighting with her spear and Oleg with his sword. Both of them were wearing their uniform, their fight was tremendous, Chikeko tried to get Oleg with her spear, but the man dodged all her attack looking for a moment to attack. Chikeko jumped into the air trying to get the Russian teacher from above, but Oleg dodged it and tried to attack the teacher of music this time, Oleg's attack were quick and dangerous and if he would fight some unprepared opponent he would defiantly lost, but the woman with white hair was a veteran Taimanin, and all attacks were successfully blocked. Oleg didn't use his daggers, as Chikeko didn't use her flute.
"That's what I call a real practice!" Maki was amazed from what she saw.
"Wow, he is really strong." Aki was surprised too, "I didn't think that he is so fast."
Ren and Pavel said nothing, they only were watching at two pro hunters, who had a friendly practice together.
"It seems that we have some guests." Chikeko said to the Russian teacher with a smile.
"Huh?" Oleg turned and saw a bunch of students from his class, "I see." Oleg sighed and removed his sword into the sheath that was on his belt.
"Come to practice too?" Chikeko asked them.
"Yeah." Maki responded coming to the teachers, "We want to be wormed up when we encounter these bad guys again.
"I see." Chikeko said removing her sweat from her forehead with her arm, "Not a bad idea, I must admit. Do you want to fight in team?"
"Yes." this time Aki decided to join the conversation, "Since we're supposed to work in teams we must improve our team work, in order to impress our enemies."
Oleg came to the team too and said, "Chikeko, how about a practice battle with our students two of them against one of us."
"Sounds great." she said, "At the same time they will be able to fight a strong and serious opponent."
"So what will you say?" Oleg turned to the kids, "Do you prefer to fight each other or with us?"
"Hell yeah!" Maki was glad to hear his words, "Finally, I have an opportunity to avenge for all these boring lectures!"
"Hey, Maki! Don't act like this!" Aki tried to make his friend a bit quite.
"So what teams will you separate?" Oleg asked again.
"I'm with Aki!" Maki grabbed the boy by his arm.
"Then I'm with Ren." Pavel was glad that he will finally have a practice along with Ren.
"As I understand you want to fight me?" the Russian teacher chuckled watching at Maki.
"If you don't mind." Aki referred.
"Very well then, then our battle will be the first one." Oleg said and then added, "One more thing, using of the abilities is not forbidden, you don't know who, you'll encounter during our mission so the practice must be gotten closer to the real fight."
All of them nodded and then Ren, Pavel and Chikeko decided to go to the far side of the room, in order to not to interfere.
"Sensei, when have you come?" Pavel asked the teacher, when they were pretty far.
"We hadn't got the previous lesson, so we decided to warm up a little before the mission, these guys are really tough, and if we meet them again we must be well prepared, than before."
"I don't think that it will help." Ren said, "As I understand, they always can amuse and do something that you will never wait from them." then they turned their heads to the combatants as they were about to start their fight.
Aki and Maki rushed at their teacher Aki with his katana and Maki with her fists. Oleg decided to dodge their lunges and merely jumped aside. He took out his sword and when Aki was close enough to him blocked the boy's katana, but then Oleg saw how Maki was about to attack him out of a jump straight from behind Aki. Oleg pushed Aki away and dodged her attack. As he felt later Maki was using her power, as sound of the hit was really strong, the floor bore it.
"Using your powers from the beginning?" Oleg asked the girl.
"Just decided to get you in the beginning." Maki chuckled.
Oleg undo his tunic and both Maki and Aki saw crossed belts on his chest, "Then I'll do the same." he took out two daggers and three them at the young hunters, they could repel them easily, and then Maki quickly rushed at the man again. Oleg took other to daggers and then threw them again; with two hits Maki could repel them again. When Maki was close to him again she was about to strike him again, but Oleg decided to dodge again with a quick jump, but then he saw Aki who decided to attack him in the air. 'Not bad.' he thought. His sword clashed with the boy's katana, and when they landed onto the ground Maki was almost near with the Russian teacher. Maki started to attack the man more quickly, and Oleg decided just to dodge all her attacks. He saw how Aki was on his way to him, Oleg moved with fingers and two daggers flew at the boy again.
"What the…?" the boy parried them with his katana, but then he saw how another two flew to him. The boy repelled them too, and then shouted, "Maki! Form the right!"
Maki turned her head and quickly jumped away, as the dagger was flying at straight at her. Oleg felt free himself from the squall of the girl's attack, he decided to be more serious. When Maki dodged the daggers the continued their way to the girl, this time Maki decided to repel them, the time was right, and now she was going to attack him along with Aki.
"Didn't know that Maki became that concentrated." Ren was surprised from watching the battle of her friends, "Usually she tries to attack straight, but now she tries to guess right time for it."
"Glad that you've noticed it?" Chikeko said to the tanned girl, "It seems that these meetings with these new guys improve your fighting abilities really well."
"They can improve not only them." Pavel chuckled, "Your irritation can be raised too."
"Even Aki tries to find right moments to attack him, now their work became really well." Chikeko was glad to what she saw.
Aki decided to change his strategy, because of the teacher's daggers, 'If the battle was with some obstacles, maybe then I could think of something better, but maybe…' he did a pause protecting himself from the dagger, "Maki try fight sensei directly, I'll protect you from the daggers!"
"Got it!" Maki was glad to hear this, and hitting one blade she ran to the teacher while Aki was behind her.
"Not a bad plan." Oleg stated trying to get Maki with his daggers, but Aki repelled them successfully. Maki was close enough to the man; Aki repelled another dagger, while Maki was aiming at him. This time Oleg decided to attack her too. Maki stroke his sword out of his hands and was about to attack him, again Oleg jumped away again, and then focused his arm on Maki, Maki rushed to Oleg again.
"You're mine!" Maki declared, but then she felt something strange, "Huh?!" she noticed that she wasn't moving, and after a second she flew at Aki, Maki whipped the boy off his feet and they fell down onto the ground, "What the hell it was?" Maki asked herself rubbing her head.
"It seems that you've lost." Oleg declared pointing his sword at them.
"It seems so." Aki sighed, "However, this time we were close."
"Yes, if I didn't use my ability for the last time, I would lose." Oleg said and put his sword into the sheath, and then he returned his sword, "I must admit, your work as a team became better since last Sakura's practice, you were more madcap during it."
"Next time we definitely get you!" Maki stated, "Be sure in it."
"Yes." Aki nodded, "Next time we will be stronger, and everything better."
"I hope so." they came to the other team and then the Russian teacher said, "Your turn."
Chikeko nodded and then Ren, Pavel and the teacher of music went to the place where they the previous team was fighting. When another team was in the middle of the room Chikeko took out her spear and, Pavel and Ren prepared their weapons too.
"Ready?" Chikeko asked them, the two of them nodded and then ran toward their teacher. Chikeko did a swing with her spear, Ren decided to jump, but Pavel did a step aside and then the boy tried to get Chikeko with his sword, but the woman dodged gracefully and attack Pavel with her spear, the boy closed him with his sword. While Chikeko was clashing her weapon with Pavel's one Ren was on her way to help him. Ren dashed and with one swing wanted to get her teacher, but she quickly pushed Pavel away, and with the handle of her spear blocked Ren's blade, and then tried to hit her with it.
"Hirata-sensei will have some problems fighting them." Aki said out loud.
"What do you mean?" Oleg asked his student.
"It'll be difficult for her to use abilities; because she is a team player and she have to play her flute." Aki explained, "It will be reckless for her to use it in battle against two opponents at the same time."
"Yes, she told me something like this." Oleg remembered, "But don't be sure that she can't use them, sometimes someone you know well can amuse really much."
Chikeko was really fast and it was pretty difficult for Pavel and Ren to get her. Even with her weapon that was larger and less comfortable than theirs didn't hinder her movements at all. Suddenly Chikeko jumped and in the air she separated her spear in to pieces she put one behind her back, but the one that was the lower part of spear was get to her lips. Then Chikeko started to make different sounds that became a melody after some seconds.
"Close your ears!" Ren shouted to Pavel, Pavel tried, but with his weapons it was pretty bed. As Oleg noticed Maki and Aki did the same.
'Too late.' Chikeko thought.
'What?!" Ren felt how her limbs started to work on its own terms, 'My body doesn't listen to me!'
Ren stood in the battle stance and then started to watch at Pavel. After a second she ran to the boy with her blade in readiness.
'Well it will be really troublesome.' Pavel thought and closed himself with his blade.
"Try to stop her melody!" Ren shouted attacking Pavel with her blade.
"Got it." Pavel nodded and tried to run to the teacher, but she wasn't standing on one place.
'My melody doesn't work on him, interesting.' Chikeko thought while she was making Ren to protect her from Pavel.
'Amazing, she can take people body under her control with these melodies.' Oleg was surprised a lot, "If she has someone in her team, she will be really dangerous opponent, and only quick and well planned attacks must be done for stopping her.'
"Damn!" Ren gritted through her teeth, "Can fight to it!"
"Don't worry, I'll plan of something." Pavel tried to calm her down and encourage.
Pavel tried to think the situation and get Chikeko, but the teacher was cunning, she hid behind Ren forcing the tanned girl fight with her teammate. 'I don't want to give so easily! I won't fail Ren.' suddenly he took his sword in one hand and decided to throw it into the air.
'What?!' Chikeko looked at the sword.
The moment was perfect the sword was thrown at the side where Hirata was standing, the boy gathered his powers and ran to her with full speed, 'A trick?' she thought when she saw that Pavel was running to her when he was pretty close to her, Aki tried to get the flute, but Chikeko with one kick at his stomach pushed the boy back. This move made her to stop her music.
"Finally!" Ren said as she could move again, then she ran to help Pavel. Chikeko joined both part of her spear and started to fight Ren.
The battle was intense and when Pavel finally joined Ren, the battle became a bit equal, but still Chikeko wasn't from weak ones. She pierced her spear into the floor and with one jump hit Ren at her chest and then with the handle of her spear hit Pavel at his hip. Pavel bowed and the Chikeko put her spear onto the boy's shoulder.
"It seems that you've lost." she said with a smile.
"It seems so." Pavel sighed.
"So Ren, do you give up?" Chikeko asked the tanned huntress.
"I don't want to admit it, but I do, there's no intention to lose our powers now."
"Then I've won." Chikeko put her weapon behind her back, and helped the Russian to get up, "By the way can I ask you about something?" she turned to him.
"Of course."
"Why my music didn't work on you?"
"What do you mean?" Pavel didn't understand her question.
"Ordinary, it works on both humans and demons, but it didn't work on you, why?"
"It neither worked on me too." they heard Oleg's voice.
"But how is it possible?" Aki was interested in this question too. Ren narrowed her eyes and Maki was calm, but her eyes wanted to know the answer too.
"I think the problem is in the mind barriers that were installed by my comrade." Oleg suggested.
"Do you mean Maria?" Chikeko remembered the woman that helped them during their last mission.
"Yes, usually they protect from demonic influence and other people with mental abilities. It can be possible that your melody works on people's mind and ours are protected."
"But it worked on Archon, I belive that he must have the same barrier."
"Interesting." Oleg put his hand onto his chin, "Try to play something and we will listen, Chikeko nodded, and took her spear again, she separated both parts and started to play music again.
"Wow, so many of Hirata-sensei copies!" Pavel was surprised to see about eight copies of one person.
"Yes, I see them too." Oleg said with a pondered voice. Chikeko stopped her playing and the asked him again.
"So, how will you explain this?"
"I think your ability influences on different parts of the brain, it can bypass our barriers in some places, and at the same time in some other situations it can protect us too." Oleg stopped for a minute but then added, "Of course it's just my thought, I've never met people with your abilities before, so I know absolutely nothing about them."
"I see." Chikeko was glad that she got some answers.
The team talked for some period of time, the shared their impressions of their fights, the teachers lectured the students for their mistakes, and after some period of time, they decided to go and change their cloths as the next lesson was approaching.
"I wanted to ask you." Chikeko turned to Oleg, "Our mission starts at 11 o'clock, when we should make the barriers?"
"At 11 o'clock?" Oleg pondered, "Well, then at 10 p.m. we should be in the hospital, this procedure isn't quick, but I belive Maria will handle with it for this period of time."
"Got it." she said to him, "Then I'll report to Igawa-san."
It quickly started to get late and late, the members of tonight mission decided to go home straight after their school day, in order to prepare themselves for their mission properly and at half past nine they all were standing be the hospital, where Oleg ordered them to meet. All of them were wearing their ninja uniform. The first ones who came were Asagi who was wearing a purple uniform, that closed almost all her body, except her shoulders and inner part of her back straight between her bladder bones, she had a katana on her back. The people who were with her were Sakura, Oleg, Pavel, Chikeko and Ren. They decided to wait for the rest. Asagi started to talk with Oleg about the upcoming procedure. Sakura and Chikeko joined too. Pave decided to have a talk with Ren while they were waiting for the rest. Then, after some minutes they saw another team, which consisted from Yukikaze, Tatsurou, Rinko, Aki and Maki. They decided not to waste their time and go straight to the needed chamber. Asagi came to the receptionist and the person in the registration table quickly let them pass.
"Here we are." Oleg said, coming to the needed door. He opened it and saw the woman with red hair, who was stretching her arms; she was wearing a bath robe. The boy was standing next to her and was doing the same, "Warming up?" he asked Maria.
"Huh?" Maria turned around, "What are you doing here so late?" Maria was surprised to see her countryman, but she was surprised more when she saw the big crowd that was behind the door. Maria was taken aback and didn't know what to do.
"We need your help." Oleg said, coming to her.
"And if to be straight." she referred him, in Russian.
"I want you to ask about something." Oleg did a pause, but then continued, "Can you create mental barriers to them for an hour?"
"Are you seriously?" the woman didn't seem surprise, but her voice seemed suspicious.
"Yes."
"Do you really belive that I'll be able to do this? I think even Przemislav won't be able to do this." she stated.
"I don't ask you to create a perfect barriers like you created for me, Pavel and Ilya." the man explained, "I want you to create something similar to it, of course it'll be much weaker, but something that will be able to protect from mental attacks."
"Do you understand that it's a stupid and pointless idea?" she asked him, "If you encounter my brother or this Polish, it'll be enough for them to use just a single push and this barrier, I don't even call it so, this shell will cracked."
"I know this, but still it will give them some time to break out of theirs grip." Oleg said.
"Yes, but if they get again? It won't help them anymore." Maria was staying in her point of view.
"Interesting, what are they talking about?" Maki asked Aki, "I wish I could understand it."
"Don't know." Aki responded, "But it's pretty unusual to see how someone speaks in absolutely another language."
"Hey sis." Sakura turned to Asagi, "How do you think will she help us?"
"I don't know." Asagi was watching at Maria, "I'd like to know what they're talking about." Asagi narrowed her eyes, and then she looked at the people who were in the room. She wanted to come to him, but the Russian boy came to his teachers and joined the talk.
"Maria Sergeievna, we will work in teams so we will be able to protect our back, so if someone's barrier is crushed another one will fight Archon or Przemislav." he said in Russian too.
"If we encounter them we veteran hunters will fight them." Oleg added.
Ilya came to them too, "Captain, I think their point of view is correct. This barrier will surprise them a lot, and they won't be able to use their ability for the first time."
Maria sighed, "Fine, I'll do what I can, but promise you absolutely nothing." Maria sat onto the bed.
"I'm glad that you agreed." Oleg smiled looking at her, "Everyone!" Oleg said to all attendants, this time he was talking in Japanese, "Now, Maria will create barriers in your mind, I must warn you, that this procedure can be not pleasant and you may fill odd, don't worry, everything will be fine."
"What do you mean by feeling odd?" Sakura asked him.
"It's difficult to explain." Maria decided to continue by herself, "Each of you can have different sensations, for some people it can be painfully for some can be just like scratching and etc."
"Then I'll be the first one." Asagi said came forward; Oleg took the chair and brought it next to the bed so it was comfortable for both women.
Asagi sat onto the chair in front of the Russian woman, "Are you ready?" she asked Asagi.
"Yes." Asagi nodded and then Maria took her hands. Maria closed her eyes and stopped talking.
"What is going on?" Sakura asked Oleg, Chikeko came closer to him too; her eyes were directed at Sakura.
"Be quite please, she is working." Chikeko said to Sakura.
"Yes, it will take some time, so if you want you can go for a walk for a little." Oleg said to the kids.
'Can you hear my voice?'
'What?' Asagi heard a voice in her head.
'Don't worry it's me, Maria.' Maria said to Asagi, 'My voice will guide you, during this procedure, first what to you feel right now?'
'It's like someone tickles me.' Asagi responded.
'Is it giving you some discomfort?' Maria asked her concerned.
'No, not at all.'
'Fine, then I'll continue.' Maria said, but then added, 'The tickling can be increased now, I'm starting to create a barrier.'
'Understood.' Asagi took a deep breath and felt like someone started to tickle her really intense, the woman tried to keep her calm and not to show it, suddenly Asagi said, 'What's this feeling?'
'Don't worry, the barrier is forming' she only responded.
'I feel like some sort of a bubble is in my head.' Asagi shared her sensations with Maria.
'It won't be a real barrier, so I think I understand why you think about as a bubble. I'll try to increase its protection, but it's difficult to predict how much attack it will be able to bear.'
'Don't worry; do as you think it's better.' Asagi said with a smile, 'I'm new in it, so I trust you fully.'
Oleg turned his head decided to leave the chamber as and have a walk for a little, suddenly he saw Yukikaze and Tatsurou, who were standing together.
"Hey, Tatsurou what's up with you? You seem too thoughtful today than ever before."
"Don't worry Yukikaze." Tatsurou said with a slight smile, "Nothing to worry about."
"Really?" Yukikaze didn't know was the boy telling the truth or not, "If you feel bad just tell sensei and…"
"No need in this." Tatsurou said with the same smile, "Everything is fine, don't worry."
"Really?" Yukikaze raised an eyebrow, "When you tell this you always seem suspicious."
"Akiyama!" Oleg said with a risen voice, Tatsurou and Yukikaze flinched, "For a minute." and nodded with his head. Tatsurou turned and went to the Russian teacher. When they were quite far from the place where the crowd was, he asked the younger Akiyama, but still quietly, as he didn't want to be heard, "Did you practice with seals?"
"What? Of course not." Tatsurou replied him quickly.
"Don't lie to me; I know the effect after using them. How much times did you use them?"
Tatsurou understood that it was useless to lie further so he decided to be fair, "Three times." he answered fairly.
"Did I tell you not to work with them for some period of time?" Oleg asked him with a strict voice.
"Yes, you did, but…' the boy stumbled.
"But what?"
"I wanted to see how they work."
"Do you understand that you put us in a danger?" Oleg asked him, "You must tell about it to Igawa-san, in your current state you can cause us troubles, how could Rinko even not to notice it." he was about to go to Asagi, but was stopped by the boy.
"Please, don't do this!" Oleg turned around, "I… I have my reason for doing this!"
"And what was that reason?" Oleg asked him crossing his arms on his chest.
"I… I must become strong and save someone important for me, Rinko and especially for Yukikaze!" Oleg was surprised, he used to see Tatsurou indecisive always pondered like he always was thinking about something philosophical, but now the boy was decisive, even his eyes were different.
"Are you talking about her mother?" he asked him straight.
"How did you know?" Tatsurou was wondered.
"I've heard your talk outside the academy." Oleg sighed, "Listen, I understand, really understand your intentions to become stronger, but you shouldn't be reckless and foolhardy in it."
"I'm terribly sorry for what I've done, but please don't tell to the others I don't want to insert you all, especially you and Yukikaze."
Oleg heavily exhaled, "What should I do to you." he raised his head Tatsurou looked at Oleg, the man was smiling, this smile wasn't slight or mock, it seemed that the man was really glad that the boy concerned about Oleg's reputation, "Fine, I won't tell anything to them, but let me do something first, but if you tell anything about what will happen now, I'll be much worse with you during our trainings."
"Don't worry, I'll tell nothing." Tatsurou was glad that his teacher wouldn't tell anything to Asagi about Tatsurou's state.
Oleg put his hand onto the boys shoulder, and closed his eyes.
Asagi was sitting in this position about seven minutes. Then Maria left her hands from Asagi's one and asked, "How do you feel yourself?"
"Quite strange I must say." Asagi shook with her head, "It's like my head is spinning."
"It's normal reaction." Maria exhaled, 'I'm glad that there is no problems with her.' then she turned to Sakura, "You're next."
"Okay." Sakura nodded and sat onto the chair, Maria took Sakura's hands too.
The procedure repeated again, one by one they came to Maria all of them started to share their thoughts about this strange procedure. Asagi said that she had got tickling; Sakura was energetically talking how someone poking her down, likewise it was a small noisy bird. When the work with Chikeko was finished, Chikeko joined them too, but she was more restrained than younger Igawa. Chikeko said that she heard some strange music. Then was the turn of young Taimanin, the first one was Rinko, then Aki, both of them said that they felt themselves dizzy. When the work was done with Maki she told that she felt herself strange too, like someone was tickling her too. Tatsurou said that he had a strong wind his head, while Yukikaze heard a thunder in her head.
"It seems that our abilities can influence on this procedure." Asagi suggested, "Interesting, what will be if she was creating a real barrier."
"Maybe these sensations could be doubled?" Chikeko suggested.
"No, it would be the same." Oleg joined them, "But plus to this you could have a headache, that could be for a whole day."
Maria was breathing heavily, like she was running out of her powers, she put her hands onto the bed, everyone understood it, but no one decided to say a word, because this procedure was needed, even Oleg was watching at her with worried eyes, he wanted to say something, but could.
"It seems that it's my turn now." Ren sat onto the chair and stretched her hands, she saw that the woman almost spent all her powers, so she whispered, "If you want I can go without this thing, you really don't have too…"
"I'm fine." Maria said, she took a deep breath, and put her hands onto Ren's one, she closed her eyes and said in Ren's head, 'Do you hear my voice?'
'Yes.' Ren answered.
'Be ready, I don't know what you feel so be ready.' Maria warned Ren, Ren prepared herself, but somehow there was nothing that would disturb her, 'Do you feel anything?'
'No, nothing at all.' Ren answered.
'Interesting, very interesting.' Maria pondered, 'I've never met someone who felt absolutely nothing during it.'
'Is it bad?' Ren asked her.
'No, it's not bad at all.' Maria tried to calm her down, 'It means that you suit perfectly for this ability, in common words, you will felt absolutely nothing after using it on you, nor pain, nor tiredness.'
'But what about my team?' Ren asked her, the last state made her tensed.
'Don't worry, the thing that I did will make anything to them, it's not the real barrier so there's nothing to worry about. The only thing that I ask you to do not to tell about this, even to Oleg Semenovich and Pavel, I'd like to work with you one day.'
'I won't.' Maria responded, and after several minutes she released her hands.
"It's done." Maria sighed, Maria was about to fall onto the floor, but Oleg somehow knew this and was by her; he took Maria and helped her to lie onto the bad.
"You did a great work." Oleg said with a smile, "Don't know what we did without you."
"Don't thank me; I just did what you asked nothing more." Maria responded with a tired voice, "Now it's all up to you."
"Don't worry we will do everything perfectly too.' Oleg answered her, "Next time I come to you I'll bring you something more special than just pears." he got up and said, "What would you like?"
"Nothing, just do your mission successfully." Maria covered herself with the blanket, "If it's possible just capture my brother." she said him in Russian.
Oleg nodded with a frowned face and then said, "Now, we are ready to depart." Asagi nodded, and then the crowed left the chamber.
