It really did feel like a walk of fame, and it felt utterly surreal.
After the shower, (and it was a damn big shower), they'd pulled their clothes back on, gotten a very thorough eye-roll from Jackie, and then had walked downstairs. And damn if everyone didn't look at the three of them.
It didn't feel real. In a way, he felt a little stoned, everything tinged with a surrealism that made it seem like reality faded a little bit around the edges.
"Melody!" someone whispered harshly as they walked into the main living room.
He was walking with an arm around Bea's waist and holding Melody's hand, and in a way he almost felt like they were showing him off. Bea looked...almost fucking regal. Like an actual queen, but with some swagger that he wasn't sure he'd ever seen in her before.
Three college girls were gathered by a counter with some pizza and other food spread out. One of them, presumably a close friend of Melody, gestured to her sharply.
"Well, um...can I gossip about you two?" she whispered. "I promise to only say good things."
"Just don't oversell what happened," Trent replied.
"Well, maybe oversell it a little," Bea said with a little smirk. "Just a little."
Melody giggled. "Okay, see you later."
She walked over to them and immediately the girls began bombarding her with harshly whispered questions, several of them shooting glances at Trent and Bea.
"Come on, love, let's go find Mae and Ann, and maybe apologize to Jackie," Bea said.
"Do we have anything to apologize for?" he asked.
"Maybe not, but we should be extra nice to her. I think sex kinda weirds her out. And...if I'm wearing my 'social responsibility' hat, I've gotta admit, it was kind of mean, what we just did."
"You've got a social responsibility hat? What color is it?"
She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Oh my fucking God, Trent. Be serious."
"You first."
"I am-you dick!" she whispered. "You're fucking with me."
"Duh."
She growled. "I guess I deserve it after today."
"Oh yeah you do."
"Oh fuck you, I got you laid, by a really hot chick."
"That you did and honestly you can consider me good for presents from you for the year," he replied.
She snorted. "That's my get-out-of-presents-free card, huh?"
"Birthday, Christmas, anniversary."
She stopped so abruptly that he was yanked to a halt. "Oh my fucking God, I don't know our anniversary," she whispered harshly, a look of true horror on her face.
"Oh, it's December Seventeenth," he replied.
She looked over at him in something of an awe-stricken manner. "How in the fuck do you know that?! Are you just bullshitting?"
"What? No! That's when you officially decided to go out with me. I mean...okay, I'll be completely honest, our relationship history is kinda complicated. You could count the first time we hooked up. But then there's also when you decided to be public about it. But the day you told me that you had decided to date me, under the table, was the seventeenth of December. I made a note on my phone."
"That...was very smart," she muttered.
"Yeah, and it sort of anchored it in my head so now I remember."
"What about Mae? Or Ann?"
"Mae is December Tenth, Ann is December Eighteenth," he replied.
Her eyes widened yet again. "You seriously started dating all three of us within a fucking week of each other?!" she hissed.
"Yeah...more or less. Admittedly it's going to be a really busy time."
"How are you so calm about this? Three fucking anniversaries and Longest Night within a fucking two week span?"
"My calmness stems from both the fact that I just fucked two really hot women, and the fact that the women I'm dating are all reasonable."
Bea laughed. "Mae is not reasonable."
"She mostly is. Where is she, anyway?"
"I'm sorry I forgot our anniversary," Bea murmured as they continued walking.
"Don't be. I would've if I hadn't made a note. You were insanely busy at the time, Bea. And for months afterward. Like...you don't need to memorize dates to let me know you love me. You do that a lot already. Like, a lot. Okay?"
"Okay," she replied after a bit of hesitation. As they stepped into what seemed to be a second living room that was mostly cleared out, he abruptly stopped and let go of Bea's hand. "What's wrong-oh," she whispered.
Trent felt a surge of protective anger wipe away his good mood as he looked into the room. Mae was sitting on a chair and a guy he didn't recognize was sitting next to her, too close for comfort, talking to her. He wouldn't be bothered except that he could instantly pick up on her irritation, her body language making it plainly obvious, and the guy's body language making it plainly obvious that either he didn't know, or more likely didn't care.
From where they stood just inside the doorway at the far side of the room, he could see one of her hands, and happened to be looking at it when, without even looking his way or acknowledging him or Bea, Mae lifted her hand a little and made a sharp sideways chopping gesture. At the same time, he felt that sort of mental ping, only this time it conveyed a different message. That message was: Let me handle this.
He took Bea's hand and fell back. Not out of sight completely, but far enough that the guy wouldn't notice them.
"What are you doing?" Bea whispered.
"Mae wants to handle this on her own," he replied softly, guiding her until she was standing in front of him, facing him. He settled his hand on her hips. "We'll keep an eye on her."
"I don't like this," Bea muttered.
"Mae can handle herself, but we're right here."
"...yeah, all right. He looks like a dick."
Trent just nodded, listening. He could just make out their words, though mostly it was the guy talking at this point.
"So yeah, my dad's into investing on the side, but his main job is, like, he's the CEO of a major shipping and handling company. Like, huge. Massive. And my uncle is a producer in Hollywood. We all just got back from a trip in Jamaica...so, like, uh, I bet we could find a place to be more alone. There's a lot of beds in this house…"
"Okay, dude," Mae said, finally turning and looking at him. Trent could immediately tell that she was not just irritated, but pissed, and felt a pulse of anxiety. "Like, I appreciate the interest. But the more you talk, the more I hate you. Like...do you even listen to yourself?"
He seemed momentarily stymied, but then pressed on. "Fine, we don't have to talk. We can just fuck."
"Dude, I'm not into you. Like, did you miss that part? I said it kind of early on. I'm not down to fuck. Okay?"
"Why the fuck not?" he asked. He grabbed her forearm. "I'm doing you a fucking favor, Jesus Christ."
"Motherfucking what!?" Mae snapped, shooting to her feet.
"Goddamnit, you fucking bitch!" he snapped as she upset the cup he was holding and he ended up spilling beer on himself.
"Fuck you, douchebag!" Mae yelled, digging in her pocket.
"You fucking-what the fuck? Are those fucking brass knuckles!?"
"Yeah! You wanna do me a favor, dick? Hold still," Mae snapped.
"Mae!" Trent called, stepping into the room.
"What the fuck is going on in here?!" Jackie demanded, appearing from another doorway.
"Fuck you bitch!" the douchebag snarled.
He slapped her. Or, he tried to. Mae ducked it with a shocking dexterity, then punched him in the gut and he cried out, collapsing, curling up on the floor around his hurt. Trent was already moving across the room. He put a hand on Mae's shoulder, steadying her, and then restraining her when he realized she intended to keep going.
"Mae!" he cried.
"Let me fuck him up!" she screamed. "Motherfucker doing me a fucking favor you fucking-" She let out a shriek of pure rage and kicked him.
"Mae!" Bea and Jackie shouted at the same time. Trent physically picked her up and turned them both around.
"You need to calm down!" Trent said.
"No, fuck that!" she snapped, struggling to get out of his grasp.
"Mae!"
She froze up suddenly, then the tension in her muscles released and she stopped struggling. "Oh shit," she whispered.
"Are you okay?" Jackie asked.
"What the hell is going on?!" Melody demanded from somewhere nearby.
"Frank here is being a fucking dickhead," Jackie said.
"Damn, who hit him?" Melody asked, coming closer. Trent couldn't see her because he was focused entirely on Mae, who he was still embracing, trying to calm her. "Trent?"
"No, Mae did," Bea said.
"Jesus-what the fuck did you do?" she asked.
"Fucking bitch...suckered me," he growled.
"Keep it up, asshole and you'll get another kick," Trent snapped.
"What happened?" Melody demanded.
"I...I need a minute," Mae said. "I'm okay now, I just need a minute."
"Go with Bea," he said. He looked up as he released her and saw that Ann had joined Bea while he'd been trying to calm Mae.
Mae nodded and walked over to the two of them. They guided her away, towards the back porch. Trent turned to face Jackie, Melody, Frank, and a few others that had gathered. "Bea and I came across Frank here trying to hook up with Mae. Mae wanted to handle it on her own, but he got rather rude about his advances and when she rejected him outright, tried to hit her." He clenched his fists, feeling a fiery rage that frightened him a little as he thought of that. He looked down at the guy, who was beginning to recover. Mae must've hit him hard. "And you're lucky you missed motherfucker, because you'd be in a lot worse shape if you hadn't."
"Fuck you," he groaned. "What are you, her fucking boyfriend, you pussy ass loser?"
"I am her boyfriend and I suggest you quit while you're behind," Trent growled.
"Frank!" Jackie snapped, and he looked over at her. The sound of a picture being taken came and Trent looked over as well. Jackie lowered her phone. "You just got yourself put on the no party list. What's his last name, Melody?" she asked as she began typing on her phone.
"Jackson."
"Good. Frank Jackson. No more Jackie Parties for you, douchebag."
"Bullshit! Melody, I know your fucking brother, if you try to kick me out I'm gonna tell-"
"What?!" Trent snapped. "You're gonna tell everyone how you swung on a goddamned four foot ten girl and then she kicked your ass? Seriously? Because we will all be glad to help you spread the word of that, asshole."
Frank stared up at them, on his hands and knees now, gritting his teeth.
"You're out, Frank. You aren't welcome here, and if I see you here again, I'm not only going to tell everyone what the fuck you did, I'm calling the police. Get out. Now," Melody said, her voice flat.
"We all heard you screaming up there, you fucking whore-" he began.
"GET! OUT!" she screamed.
"Fuck all of you!" he snapped finally and stormed out of the room. Jackie and Trent followed after him. He wanted to make sure. They went in his wake as he made it to the entry hall, snatched his coat off a hook, walked outside and slammed the door behind him.
"Fucking baby," Jackie muttered as they walked over to the window. They stared at him out there as he got into his car. Trent was briefly worried he'd do something stupid if he was boxed in, but he'd parked on the street. He looked out his window and happened to see them staring, or maybe he didn't, either way he flipped them off and then peeled out.
"Hopefully he wasn't really drunk," Trent said. "God fucking forbid he crash into someone."
"He wasn't swaying or slurring," Jackie replied. "I don't think he was." She sighed heavily and massaged her temples. "Thanks for the help," she said quietly.
"That's what I should be saying. So: thanks for the help," Trent replied.
"Yeah. I didn't invite him, though."
"I let someone bring him." They both turned around and saw Melody standing in the hallway farther back, looking uncomfortable. "He's gone?"
"He's gone," Jackie confirmed.
"I'm sorry. He's my brother's friend. Or classmate maybe. He's been around before and he didn't cause trouble...but I probably shouldn't have let him come over. I did get a bad feeling about him," Melody said.
"It's...not your fault. He's the one who was an asshole," Trent replied as he began walking back through the house. "I have to check on Mae."
"I'll come with you," Melody said.
"I'll keep watch out here, make sure everything is okay," Jackie said.
"Thanks, Jackie," they both replied.
He found Mae on the back porch, sitting between Ann and Bea, hugging herself and looking miserable.
"Do you have the weed?" she asked the instant he stepped out, sounding like she was ill.
"Yeah," he replied, reaching into his pocket. He looked at Melody. "Is this okay?"
"Yeah, I don't care," she replied. "Just not in the house."
"Thank you," Mae replied. He passed her the pipe and lighter. "I just need a little."
"Is he gone?" Bea asked.
"Yeah, he's gone. We made sure. Jackie's keeping watch," Trent replied.
"Thank Sky Cat for her," Mae muttered, then took a puff. "Shit, that's better," she whispered, then took another.
Trent waited. He was flat out concerned about Mae now. There were some red flags in that altercation, ones that were more obvious to him now that he had over half a year of experience with being around her, reading her, getting to know her and her many facets. But clearly the experience had, if not frightened her, then taxed her.
"Are you okay?" he asked finally, when the waiting became too much.
"No," she replied. "But thank you and I love you. You really saved my ass in there. Ugh...I feel fucking sick to my stomach. And jittery. Like I can't calm down."
"I might have something that will calm you down," Melody said.
"Yeah?"
"I've got a hot tub. It's walled off in its own private little area, no windows, and its already filled with heated water. I was, uh…" she glanced at Trent, "saving it."
Mae laughed softly. "For my boyfriend?"
"...yes."
"Were you gonna fuck him in it?" she asked.
"Probably not, I get nervous about condoms and underwater sex. But I figured we'd skinny dip and fool around."
"Actually, that sounds great," Mae said. "Like really cool. All of us should go."
"You sure you'd be comfortable with that?" Ann asked.
"Yeah! It'd make me feel better."
"All right."
"Let me go tell Jackie," Melody said.
"I'll text her," Bea replied, pulling her phone from her hoodie pocket. Mae got up and took Trent's hand. He still wanted to talk but right now getting her stabilized and making her feel better were more important. "Done," Bea said.
"Okay, um, I guess none of you brought bathing suits…" Melody murmured.
"Weren't you planning on skinny dipping? You've already seen two of us naked," Trent replied.
She laughed awkwardly. "Yeah, fair point."
"If you're uncomfortable, don't get naked on our account," Ann said as she began guiding them off the back deck, down to an expansive yard below.
"It's cool," Melody said. "And, I guess if I'm being totally honest, now that I've seen Trent and Bea naked I'm...curious."
"Ha ha, are you gonna be disappointed," Mae said.
"I doubt it," Melody replied.
"I mean Ann is hot but you're not gonna be glad you asked me to take my clothes off."
"Mae," Trent said.
She sighed. "Oh whatever...whoa, nice."
Melody opened the door to what looked like a shed but turned out to be a private hot tub area. About half of the good-sized detached building was taken up by a sunken hot tub full of steaming water and the other half had a round glass table with several chairs around it and even a little kitchen area with its own fridge.
"Fuck me, you guys are rich," Trent muttered.
Melody laughed awkwardly. "Yeah, we are. It's...I dunno, I don't really like talking about it."
"Fair," Trent said, taking off his shirt.
Bea shut and locked the door behind them, then joined them as they all started taking their clothes off.
"You know," Mae said, as she got out of her undershirt, "I actually don't even wrestle with self-image, like, nearly as much anymore. Not with two people regularly having sex with me and being, like, super nice to me all the time, and seeing me naked all the time. Maybe that's dumb but it's kind of nullifying the problem."
"I can't testify to how healthy it is," Bea said, "but I don't think it's dumb. It's just...who we are. I had...some issues, but now, looking back on them, they seem so stupid."
"What issues?" Trent asked.
"My face, mostly, and my boobs not being big enough, or my ass fat enough, my hips. That kind of thing is real in now. But I don't really care anymore. Hooking up with you and...all this other hooking up you've done changed things."
"Changed how?" Melody asked.
Bea tossed her bra aside and pulled her panties down. "I guess it made me realize-ooh! Trent!" she gasped, blushing fiercely as he ran a hand down her tail.
"Sorry," he murmured, "I like your tail."
She sighed heavily. "Yes. Well." She cleared her throat. Mae giggled. "Anyway," Bea pressed on, "I guess it sort of brought everything into focus. It's cliché as fuck and sounds painfully trite, but I guess I really did learn there's more to life than being fucking hot and perfect. That and...well, let's just say I reevaluated how I look at life thanks to these three, and a few other people. I'm a lot happier now. Mostly."
"Mostly?" Trent asked.
"Yes, you prick, mostly!"
He laughed and finished stripping, getting out of his boxers, then he took Mae's hand and led her over to the hot tub. They all got slowly down into it, one by one, and took their time getting settled and relaxed. Mae ended up sitting in his lap.
"For what it's worth, Mae, I like how you look naked," Melody said.
"Really?" she asked.
"Yeah. And I'm not, like, really into girls. Like I'm not bi, but I like looking at naked women? I mean men too, obviously, but there's something really great about boobs."
"Isn't there?" Bea murmured.
"Yeah. I love your boobs, Mae, they're just...fantastic. And your hips. Also, Ann, your hips are...I don't think I've seen better hips."
"Well thank you," Ann replied. She had the weed pipe now. "You also look quite fantastic with your clothes off."
"Thanks," Melody murmured.
Silence fell and there was only the sound of them passing around the pipe. When it came Melody's way, she took it and took a puff. When it came Trent's way, he hesitated. "One of us should be sober…" he murmured. "But I really want to toke up right now."
"Can we stay until we're good to drive?" Bea asked.
"Yeah, totally. We've got the place to ourselves for days and I trust you all. If you had to, you could all spend the night here to sleep it off and just go home in the morning."
"We good with that?" Trent asked. Everyone responded affirmatively, so he took a pull. It still wasn't that late and he figured if he kept it low he could be sober again before too long.
"I feel so bad, I'm sorry, Mae. I didn't think Frank would cause problems like that," Melody said after a moment. "And I also now feel weird about having loud sex with your boyfriend on your birthday."
"Don't feel bad about that!" Mae replied. "Any of it! I figured you wouldn't have invited him if he'd acted like that around you before, and I know Jackie wouldn't have, and you loudly fucking my boyfriend was a killer birthday present! It was great! You were like so loud!"
"Ugh, I know…" Melody moaned, hiding her face.
"Don't be ashamed! It was awesome!" Mae replied.
"A lot of people were talking about it," Ann said. "In a good way, mostly. I heard at least a few of the girls say you really needed to get laid."
"I did, and it was amazing, and I've never done anything like this before...are we really cool?" she asked, looking around. "I'm so scared one of you secretly fucking hates me."
"We're really cool, Melody," Ann said. "We wouldn't have agreed to let you and Trent have sex if we weren't all in the know and on the level about it. No one's angry, no one hates you."
"She is correct," Bea agreed.
"Yeah, totally!" Mae said. Then she sighed heavily. "But I feel like an asshole, and I'm also scared. I...kinda lost it there. I think you guys are right, about the medication affecting me. I've lost it before, but something about that...it was different. It felt different."
"It did," Trent agreed. "I'm worried. There was just something about you, the way you were responding, it was definitely different."
"Maybe I should stop taking the anxiety meds…"
"If you do, make sure you do it carefully and talk to your doctor. I had a friend...she went off her meds several times through high school and it was always such a nightmare. I loved her dearly but it just became too much for me to handle. She had these wild, violent mood swings. She broke things, she tried to kill herself once, she attacked me…"
"Jeez, I'm sorry," Mae replied.
Melody sighed and shook her head. "No, I'm sorry, I'm oversharing. Just...it could have been avoided if she'd just been better about it. I don't want to see other people go through that."
"Oversharing is, apparently, a side effect of hanging around Trent and Mae," Bea murmured.
"Is it?" Melody asked.
"Dear God yes," Bea said. "I was telling Trent things and doing things with him real fast. I mean I was falling in love, too, but it's the same with Mae. She has no filter and encourages others to do the same, and Trent...makes you feel safe, and like he'd understand, whatever it is you tell him."
"That's what it is," Melody said. "I knew there was something unique about you." She cleared her throat suddenly. "Sorry, I'm derailing this conversation. Also now I feel like I'm intruding, but you're having the conversation in front of me and we're all naked…"
"Mae does this a lot," Trent said.
"I do not!" she replied.
"You really do," Ann said.
Mae sighed. "Whatever. Anyway, uh, yeah, don't worry, with these three around me I'm sure I'll be fine. They're all paranoid and honestly I am, too. Ugh, but fuck that douchebag!"
"Yeah, he's an ass, but...I had a question," Trent said.
"What?" Mae replied.
"Unless I missed it, why didn't you tell him you had a boyfriend? Or a girlfriend? He seemed surprised to find out you had a boyfriend," he asked.
"Because it's bullshit! I told him at the start when he sauntered up and began hitting on me that I wasn't down to fuck. He said that was cool, he just wanted to talk, and I figured fine, okay, I'll give socializing a chance, and we talked. But it became clear that he was just trying to get me in bed, and then he just came right out with it-I shouldn't have to say I have a boyfriend! I already told him I'm not down to fuck! That should be enough!"
"I really know how you feel," Bea muttered.
"Yeah," Melody agreed.
"Mae," Ann said, frowning, "you're right. You're completely right. But...I don't think this is a hill you should die on. I think you should probably try to pull yourself out of situations like that, instead of allow them to escalate to the point where you pull out the brass knuckles. And I know this sounds like victim blaming, but I'm not blaming you. To be clear: the guy was a fucking asshole and got what he deserved, but it's dangerous, Mae. And the country, the system we live in? It sides with douchebags like him if it comes down to it, more often than not."
"She's right," Bea said unhappily. "It's the Mount Everest of fucking bullshit, but it's also our reality. It's changing, slowly...but it hasn't changed enough. And we backslide all the time. I'm not saying you're wrong to defend yourself if someone comes at you, but that really should be a last resort, Mae."
"Yeah, I know," Mae said. "I went a little crazy, and even if he deserved it, yeah, I get it...should I stop taking my meds? I don't want to. But I also kinda do?"
"We'll call the pharmacy tomorrow," Ann replied, "and double-check with them. I want to take you off the anti-anxiety med, I think that's the one doing it."
Mae grinned suddenly. "Speaking of doing it…" She looked at Trent and shifted around in his lap. He was most of the way hard from hanging out with these naked women.
"You should absolutely ask Melody's permission if we can fuck in her hot tub," he replied.
"Melody?" Mae asked without taking her eyes from his own.
"Yes, just try not to splash around too much," Melody replied.
"Perfect." Mae turned around all the way so that she was straddling him. She took a puff on the pipe and then passed it off to Ann. "You're already pretty hard…" she murmured, grinning and then kissing him. He kissed her back, hugging her to him, feeling her huge bare tits pressing against his chest as she grinded against him.
"Come on," he muttered, "stop teasing."
She giggled. "Maybe I like teasing."
He sighed. "I get enough of that shit from Bea."
"And look what it gets her: screaming orgasms."
"In order for me to properly give you what teasing warrants, we'd have to splash around. A lot," he said.
Mae sighed. "Fine then."
She shifted around and then he got a hand between them and guided himself into her. They both let out groans of bliss as he got inside of her. She lowered herself until she'd taken his entire length. She started to ride him, sliding up and down his erection.
"Aren't you a lucky boy?" she whispered, then gasped and moaned.
"Extremely," he replied.
"Fucking three girls in one night," she murmured. He reached around and settled his hands on her well padded ass, the pleasure cascading over him. "You're a bad boy."
"Is that so?" he asked, then pulled her down hard against his lap.
She cried out. "Fuck! Oh that's deep."
"You like deep from what I recall," he replied.
"I do...oh shit…" she moaned. "Wait, hold-hold still," she whispered, putting herself down all the way into his lap, holding her position there, then she began rocking, grinding back and forth with him inside of her. "Ah yeah! Right-right there...fuck! Right...oh yeah!" she screamed and he held her against him as she began orgasming.
He could feel her almost convulsing in pleasure, tremors and shocks running through her body, and it pushed him a lot closer to his own climax. When she was finished, she took a deep breath and sat back up. "Whew...did you cum? I can't tell."
"Not yet," he replied.
"Okay, keep going. Fuck me until you do," she said. "Cuz that was a good one and I want to give you a good one."
"You're a really good girlfriend," Melody murmured.
"She is," Trent agreed. He gripped her tightly and kept fucking her until an explosion of pleasure hit him and he was cumming deep inside of her. He groaned loudly, pulling her down hard into his lap again, releasing whatever cum he had left into her, the bliss washing over him. Trent held his position until he'd finished, then let go of her, groaning heavily as he sagged back against the edge of the hot tub.
"Fuck, that was really good pussy," he muttered.
Mae laughed. "Glad to hear it. Is it gonna weird anyone out? His stuff is probably gonna leak out of me…"
"It's been on or in literally all of us at this point," Bea said.
"I can't believe that's true," Trent said. "And I don't think there was much that came out, to be honest, not after what happened with Melody and Bea."
"Yeah it doesn't feel super messy but it's also hard to tell because we're underwater?" Mae replied as she got off of him. She stretched and then settled into place next to him. He put an arm around her. "Oh my fucking God this is fucking paradise," she muttered. "Stoned and fucked and naked in a hot tub surrounded by cool people. I feel a million times better."
"I'm glad," Trent said.
"Mmm...you know, Melody, if you're for real about letting us spend the night, I'd actually like to."
"Really?" Bea asked.
"Yeah," Mae replied.
"I was for real, yeah," Melody said.
"Cool, thanks. I kinda just realized...we all don't have anyone to 'go home to' because we're all right here. No parents to worry about waking up or pissing off, no significant others or siblings or roommates, just us. In our own home. And no jobs, too!" She paused. "Oh, I guess unless, Trent, Ann, you have something you really need to do? I guess I should've asked first…"
"No, it's cool, I cleared the weekend for this," Trent said.
"Me too," Ann replied. "And I did the same thing."
"Bea?" she asked.
"I'm cool. So long as I get somewhere comfy."
"Lots of comfy beds in my house," Melody said. "But...I do have one request."
Bea smirked. "Lemme guess: you want Trent to sleep in your bed?"
Melody looked a little taken aback. "How'd you know?"
"The other girls he's hooked up with have asked for something similar," Bea said.
"I just, you know...I've never had a boy sleep in that bed with me. Too paranoid. I've never even fucked in this house. But now...I don't care if my parents know. Plus, they aren't even here. So I want to know what's it like to sleep in my bed with a boy I, you know, like. I've slept in that bed almost my entire life."
"I'm okay with it," Bea said, and Ann nodded.
"Yeah, that's fine," Mae said.
Trent stood and started getting out of the water.
"Where're you going?" Bea asked.
"Getting overheated," he replied. "Need a breather." Trent found a towel and dried off, then found his pants. At some point during all that he'd been vaguely aware of his phone buzzing. He fished it out of his pocket and found a text. From Jackie.
Hey don't fucking fuck in that hot tub I want a soak, by myself.
"Oops."
"What?" Melody asked.
"Uh...Jackie was hoping for a solo soak in a sex-free hot tub."
"Oops," Mae said. "Now I feel bad."
"Text her that there's another, smaller hot tub on the third floor she can use, just off my parents' room, if she promises not to mess with anything. She deserves a soak," Melody replied.
"She does," Bea agreed.
He nodded, texting her back: Sorry Jackie, I fucked in the tub, but Melody says you can use the one in her parent's room on the third floor.
He set his phone down, but only for a bit as she fired off a response: OMFG DUDE WHY ARE YOU SO FUCKING HORNY JESUS FUCK DIDN'T YOU FUCK ENOUGH ALREADY!?
Trent tried, and failed, to suppress a laugh.
"Is she ripping you a new one?" Bea asked.
"Yeah…"
They all laughed.
He replied: Did you read the second half of my message?
A long pause before: Oh. Then: Sorry. Thanks.
He replied: No problem.
"Okay, now I'm getting hot," Mae said, getting up and out of the tub. "And now that I've actually gotten laid, I should probably get back to figuring out if fucking anyone knows about Bombshell."
"I'm gonna be soaking in here for awhile, unless you need me," Ann said.
"Fuck, same," Bea agreed.
"I probably should get back to my party," Melody murmured, getting out as well and joining Mae in drying off.
