She just couldn't do it, the pain was too unbearable for Dr. I as she made her way down the halls of site 49, her normally white Lab coat slightly stained with her three-year-old son's spit up, she would need to remove it but her past experience with the higher-ups told her a dirty coat was a preferable alternative than showing up unprofessional. She was nervous, that was part of it, seeing the overseers discuss her work was one thing but discussing her plans to temporarily work from home was a completely different matter entirely. She was allowed to do so but she doubted that her employers would consider it in the slightest; she shook the feeling off as she approached the room to the 05 council chambers and took a deep breath as the site security opened the doors allowing her to enter. Dr. I looked up at six of the thirteen members of the 05 council, her fate in the Foundation was dictated by their words and their words were law, "Hello Dr. I," she heard the voice of 05-1, The Founder, call to her, "I am glad you took the time to come in today, with your son and the death of Agent H."

His words stung in her chest, the council knew just where to push her emotional buttons when it came down to her son, and the death of Hisashi, or as he was known around the site Agent H and Firestarter, stung worse than a majority of the anomalous objects she worked with in her tenure in the SCP Foundation, "How are you holding up," 05-1 asked her his fingers tapping on a manila file. Straightening herself up she stared directly into the Council's collected eyes with a blank, calculating stare, the same look she had when she worked, "I admit that Agent H's demise did leave a hole in my heart sir," she said as tonelessly as she could muster trying to hide her underlying sadness and failing in area's, she only hoped that they didn't notice. 05-1 opened the file and pulled out a leave request form looking it over meticulously, "You do realize that it is a rare occurrence that people to work from home seeing how you work with such sensitive information," she heard the voice of 05-6, The Cowboy, ring out, "in fact it's never been done to date." Dr. I nodded her head in response, she knew that the Foundation took the risk of security breaches very serious, such a breach would result in her losing her life no matter how insignificant the bit of information was, "I am well aware of how unlikely it is to work from my home in Japan sir but I would like to try for my son's sake." 05-6 looked at his fellow members as they murmured it was clear that she had done her research and she seemed confident that she was able to do the job required of her, 05-1 however was not overly convinced as he stared down at Dr. I.

"Tell me Doctor do you know of the consequences should you find yourself unable to effectively do your duties to the letter," he asked her his tone a little more intimidating trying to see if she would slip up from her professional appearance. Dr. I was not fazed by his words standing her ground and putting her hands behind her back, "I understood the consequences of dating and marrying Agent H even after the Adam Bright incident. I understood when I got pregnant and carried my son to term, and I understood when I lost my husband," Dr. I said her fingernails digging into her palms. As if sensing the tension 05-5 spoke up, "I think we have heard enough, we will convene with the rest of the 05 council. You will receive an email of our decision afterward; go be with your son." Without further ado Dr. I walked out of the council chamber to her desk where the rest of her staff were swooning over her three-year-old son, it warmed her heart that her son felt at least comfortable in this environment but he did need to be in the outside world and the confines of the site were not the ideal place to raise a child even with the help of her staff, "Ok people back to work you can gush over Izuku later," Dr. I said with a smile as she walked to her terminal, getting the joke her staff waved her son goodbye and returned to their duties. Sitting at her desk she looked at her son as he read the latest All Might comic book on the floor next to her desk, she knew how the other members of the site looked at him, he was adored but at the same time a majority of the Mobile Task Force looked at him like he was her late husband, it hurt her that they constantly say that Izuku looked like his dad. The notification from her email snapped her out of her thoughts, she knew who it was from, and after opening it she read the message confirming her request for temporary leave. At the bottom of the email was a message stating she would be required to work at a Foundation facility until she felt capable to return to the site, she could live with those conditions.

She packed up her things, shut down her terminal, picked up her son, and left for home. The future was shining for her and her son.

Inko sat at the dinner table working on her Loyalty exam for the Foundation, she felt invaded whenever she took these tests and she felt hurt lying to her son about what she did for work, but she knew it was all for the cause.

Secure. Contain. Protect. That was the motto, at least the unofficial motto as she was told, such security checks were necessary to make sure that she wasn't planning to defect or worse leak information to groups like the Global Occult Coalition, the Church of the Broken God, The Chaos Insurgency, or The Serpents Hand. She had heard about their work before and she didn't like it, their motives were against everything the Foundation stood for, even if there were some moral issues behind some decisions, some of the SCP's were threats to the safety of humanity and even destroying them could cause the end of life as they know it. Her mind was rocked back to the present as her son returned from school, she was grateful to Natsuki for giving him a ride for the day, "Hello Izuku sweetie how was school?" Her question was left unanswered as Izuku walked to his mother, she had wished he hadn't for what she saw took her worry and boiled it over into red hot fury, looking at her son's scuffed face and bruised arms she didn't hear Mitsuki enter her home, "What happened to you Izu?" Mitsuki rubbed her arm not wanting to tell her friend, a renowned telekinetic medical practitioner, about what had happened to Izuku, but her choices are slim.

With a heavy sigh, Mitsuki looked Inko in her eyes, "Izuku may not tell you but he has been bullied ever since his quirkless diagnosis." Her words sent an electric charge down Inko's spine, that damn doctor, she knew he was full of it just by looking at his eyes even behind those glasses she knew that he was hiding something and she took measures of her own to see if her son was truly quirkless, it may have taken a couple of favors with the Foundation to get his blood work checked more thoroughly, she knew that 05 would inform her personally both on her the blood work and her abuse of her station. Oh the irony, she thought to herself she knew that they would come to see her personally, whether or not Izuku was in the room was debatable but knowing them they would pull every emotional string. Shaking her head Inko returned to the matter at hand, someone was bullying her son all because they thought he was among the twenty percent, a quirkless. That term angered her, what made quirkless people less human than those with the metagene? Inko let her thoughts trail off as she picked up her six-year-old son looking at her friend, "Do you know who did this," Inko asked the response she got in return was a shake of the head.

"Izuku refused to share," Mitsuki said having a seat at Inko's table, "no matter how many times I asked he refused to talk to me." Inko took her friend's words with grace, or at least graced masked anger; she poured her friend a glass of water and looked at her son, "There is something else Inko," Mitsuki said with mounting worry catching Inko's attention, "when I picked him up he was talking to a man in a suit, I couldn't see much until I drove up but I saw this odd bird pin on his hat." Inko knew immediately who she was talking about, and she needed to act quickly if Mitsuki was to stay alive, "He is my employer at the hospital, I guess he must have gone to check in on Izu." Inko kicked herself mentally even if she was not completely wrong, if the 05 had heard that it would be a running joke around the facility she worked out, it might just be now knowing "The Kid" but she couldn't dwell on this, if it meant keeping her friend out of the sights of the Foundation then she will work with the lie, "Oh I didn't know that he would show up," Mitsuki said as she drank her water. Of all the people from the Foundation why was it "Blackbird", he was a friendly person to talk to, probably more so than 05-1, but the question remained in her head; why did 05-5 talk to Izuku? She would talk to Izuku about it later, "Thanks for coming by Mitsuki."

After Mitsuki left the Midoriya residence Inko turned her attention to her whimpering son on her lap, "Izuku sweetie," she said as calmly as she can muster grabbing the attention of the boy in her lap, "Did you meet someone after school today?" Izuku seemed to brighten up when she brought the topic up and nodded his head vigorously. Inko looked at her son and into his beaming smile; if it had the brightness of the sun she would need sun glasses, "Could you tell me about the man?"

"He stopped Kacchan and his friends from picking on me," Izuku began rubbing his arm feeling rather uncomfortable about this part of the tale, "They have been bullying me since I was deemed quirkless, they were going to beat me up today when the man appeared. The next thing I see is them running away and Kacchan saying it wasn't over." Inko's blood boiled from hearing this, Mitsuki will be well informed about what her son had been doing to Izuku, "What did the man do," she asked her son, she knew what Blackbird was capable of and if it was enough to send her son's bullies running then she would need to be ready for repercussions, "All he said was that they would be having nightmares if they even thought about trying to hurt me again and then we went for ice cream before aunty Mitsuki came." Inko stifled a giggle, reality-warping was something Blackbird was capable of so it would explain why Izuku would have ice cream and still have been at the pickup spot, "he seemed like a nice person mom. He said I had great potential in me." Could he have been pre-recruiting Izuku for the Foundation? The thought raced through Inko's mind swiftly before returning her attention to her son, "He isn't wrong Izuku," she said with a smile, "Now how about you wash up and I will get dinner started."

Izuku rubbed his eyes yawning on his way to school, he had had a rough night for the most part but what couldn't explain was why there was a massive gap in his memory for the past couple of weeks, his mother explained that he was a growing boy and it would take a lot out of him. Izuku knew better than to question his mother but his mind kept coming to the voice of a girl, his mother explained it as a girl he had a crush on before she left for England, he was just glad that she got a new phone after his old one was apparently damaged when Inko did the laundry. With a shake of his head, Izuku returned his focus to getting to school, the moment he arrived he felt a sense of dread wash over him as he spotted Bakugo at the door waiting for him. This was not worth his time, Izuku tried to move past his former friend before feeling him grab him by the collar, "Where the fuck do you think you are going, nerd?" Izuku normally would have flinched at Bakugo's voice and trembled in fear when he grabbed him but today he was not in the mood to put up with his antics today. Without saying a word he slapped the explosive boy's hand away and went to class leaving Bakugo fuming and stunned, he had never seen Izuku stand up to him before and it infuriated him.

The act also left him with a ton of questions and one of them was where was the Deku he used to know? The one that would follow him endlessly and idolized him? Sure he had bullied him because he kept dreaming of being a hero when he was a quirkless nobody, but now he seemed different and he looked a little worse for wear today, the bags and dark circles under Deku's eyes were not a good sight. He shook the thought out of his mind; he would get answers from that nerd one way or another.

The school day went as normal for Izuku as would have been right up until the teacher began talking about their future, "Aw who am I kidding all of you want to be Hero's," the teacher said as he looked through each students school aspirations, most of them wanted to go to UA or other aspiring hero academia's until he stopped on Izuku Midoriya's form, "Um Midoriya it says here that you want to join security forces for your mother's hospital. Perhaps that is a mistake."

"There is no mistake, sir," Izuku said not looking up from his notebook leaving his teacher and fellow classmates stunned. Izuku could feel the eyes of Bakugo burning holes into his skull but he ignored him getting along with his day, "I see it's just that you had such potential with your aspirations earlier in the year such dreams at being a hero," his teacher said as he sets the paperwork down, "Dreams change sir," Izuku said.

By the end of class Bakugo could no longer restrain the urge to get answers, he cornered the green-haired boy at his desk his friends doing their best to stop him, " What the hell Deku," Bakugo yelled out grabbing Izuku by the collar, "You think you are fucking better than me or something?" The anger in his voice was evident but there was something else in the undertone, hurt? No, not likely, Bakugo never truly cared about him, all he did was bully him relentlessly and call him useless all because he wanted to be a hero. Now that he changed his mind Bakugo had the nerve to act hurt over it, and this pissed Izuku off, "Only in your own deluded mind would you think I was better than you Bakugo," Izuku said coldly sending shock waves through Bakugo. Izuku never called Bakugo by his name; it was always by his nickname. It was a stab in the chest for him, "Izuku," Bakugo started to say before Izuku turned to give Bakugo a cold glare, adding in the dark circles gave off a terrifying effect freezing Bakugo's blood, "Oh so you know my name, after all, you egotistical prick. Do you know why I don't want to be a damn hero anymore? Look in a fucking mirror sometime," Izuku growled out before storming off leaving Bakugo staring out the window the color from his skin faded slightly. For the first time in his life, Bakugo was honestly terrified of someone, and that someone was the boy he had called friend.

Meanwhile, Izuku walked home on his normal route not paying attention to his surroundings as something bubbles up from a nearby sewer, before he knew it the Sludge Villain had jumped upon him attempting to smother him, "You may be a weak one kid but you will make a fine hostage and with the help of this little artifact no one can stop me without hurting you." Izuku could see the blade being held against him, it had an odd marking near the hilt something akin to a ball of flame or something; he couldn't make it out as he was more focused on struggling to break free from the Villains grip, he was tiring out fast and oxygen deprivation was only speeding the process along. Izuku was starting to black out when he heard the booming voice of All Might from behind before blowing the villain apart.

Coughing hard Izuku was quick to recover from his bout with the Sludge Villain, "Thought we lost you there," boomed the voice of All Might as he stared down at him beaming smile and all. Izuku was quick to get on his feet bowing his head to his favorite hero; he had little time to get a thought out when he went looking for his notebook it was tossed back to him with All Might's autograph, "You should get home kid, it's dangerous out here. Also, you would want to get that cut checked," All Might said pointing to the cut above his eye. Izuku quickly put a hand over his eye, "My mom's hospital is nearby I can walk there," he said turning around to start walking. All Might placed a hand on his shoulder, "It's no issue if I escort you there kid," he said with a smile which Izuku shyly returned before looking down at the knife, putting on a medical glove, and picking it up, "That should go to the police, young man."

"I know but something seems off with this knife, it looks old," Izuku said almost hypnotized by its ornate blade, he snapped himself back to focus and walked with All Might to the hospital. As they made their approach to the front door Izuku groaned a bit from a growing headache All Might looked at the boy with growing worry, "Are you, alright young man," he asked checking the cut over his eye. Izuku only nodded trying not to fall from the agony of the now pounding pain like an infected tooth reaching its way into his skull; they were just about to enter through the doors when a pair of heavily armed security officers stopped them, "Sorry All Might this is as far as you go," the guard said pointing an M4 rifle at All Might. The Number one hero looked at the pair of guards not letting the rage get the better of him, "This boy needs to get his wound checked," he stated outright wanting to push his way in with the guard continuing to halt him.

"We will take it from here All Might," the Guard said before turning his attention to Izuku, "Come on kid let's get you looked at." Izuku stumbled his way towards the pair of guards as they gently took him under the shoulders, "What kind of hospital hires paramilitary guards," All Might asked looking at them his curiosity growing as well as a need to protect Izuku, "The kind that has something serious in need of protecting," the second guard growled out not bothering to face All Might as they entered the hospital.

Upon entering the bright light was too much for Izuku to handle as the guards gently took him to an isolated room after taking the knife from him, "Poor kid, got nicked by an anomalous knife."

"You think the Chaos Insurgency gave it to the guy that cut him?"

"Not sure, his mother will be up here soon to look him over. Have to admit though he is the spitting image of his old man."

"Wait what, that's Firestarter's kid?"

Izuku continued to listen in on the guard's conversation, how did they know his father? Was Firestarter his hero name? Why did he hurt so much from on simple cut? What made the knife that cut him anomalous? His questions would have to wait as his mother walked into the room a growing look of worry growing on her face seeing her son writhing in agony as he gripped his head, "What is happening to me." Inko looked at her son as she dimmed the lights, "I wish I knew Izu. I really wish I knew," Inko said, "I know that you know about my line of work or at least what I told you." Izuku looks at his mother right as the door opens, "In fact, my employer wishes to extend an offer to you." As she spoke Izuku could see the man walk into the dimly lit room, he recognized him, "Hello Izuku Midoriya," the man said with a smile, "I see that your dormant quirk is starting to awaken. That is good it will be useful to you for what I have to offer you."

Izuku stared at him, a dormant quirk? He was quirkless, how does he have a dormant quirk, "Many people in this day and age are miss diagnosed as quirkless when in reality they have a dormant quirk that needs awakening," the man took Izuku off guard, "I cannot read minds Izuku but I can tell you have questions. They will all be answered in due time child but I want to extend to you an offer to be a part of something greater." Izuku stared at the outstretched hand of the man that he would come to know as Blackbird, looking at what will become his immediate future, he took it willingly.

"Welcome to the SCP Foundation."

Present Day – Site 49

Midoriya strolled through the hallways of site 49 with a heavily modified rifle in his arms; he stopped in front of a cell door with the designation D2375-39. It was time for testing again and they needed a new D-Class since the death of 3457-41; Izuku open the door to the cell and looked right at the man designated D2375-39, "D2375-39 exit your cell and head to the designated testing area," Izuku said under this mask and voice modulator. D2375-39 was a short individual, formerly a student of the famous hero academia UA with grape-like hair, he had been caught perving over a pair of female Foundation personnel and was only caught when he tried to peep on Izuku's mother, "Sick little bastard," Izuku snarled in his head as he escorted D2375-39 to the testing chamber where SCP-953 was waiting having been temporarily transferred from Site-17. Izuku had partaken in multiple missions with his father's old MTF Team and they were welcoming when he first became a part of the Foundation, at least two of them were re-containing SCP-682 and both times were gruesome with far too many dead with a lot of the dead being site security. Returning his focus to D2375-39, a new wave of disgust washed over the young MTF Captain thinking about if this sick individual had wandered into SCP-054's containment chamber, it wouldn't be a mess but it would still be a dirty job. He shook the thought out of his head as they arrived at SCP-953's temporary holding cell, "D2375-39 you are to enter the testing chamber."

"I have a name you know, it's Mineta Minoru."

"You lost the right to your name when you became a D-Class," Izuku growled under his helmet before whacking him with his rifle butt, "Proceed into the testing chamber." Izuku punctuated his demand by cocking the rifle loading a round into the chamber and aiming it right at D2375-39 making him shake in fear, with little choice D2375-39 entered the chamber. Izuku left the door as soon as site security arrived, making his way down the hallway, he had not slept in a good long while and he was looking forward to a well-needed rest after his duties, "Agent Jade please head med-lab 12," the voice of his mother rang out, no doubt wanting a report on his medical log. His mother made it her business to work on his psychological profile saying that the council wanted to know if there were seeds of doubt in his mind, Izuku knew that was a bold-faced lie but he kept it to himself, "Help me please," a voice rang in his com making him jump, heart racing. Tapping a finger on his headpiece resulted in only white noise, he definitely needed to get some sleep, he will put in a request for vacation time he did earn it after all, "I know you're there please help me," the voice pleaded. Izuku looked each way down the hall confused his rifle at the ready, "Down the hall on your right," not understanding why Izuku obliged and went down the hall to the right. He thought he was going crazy listening to this familiar yet unknown voice in his head, "Door to your right, you have clearance," the voice said making Izuku stop. He knew this door well, the secondary storage room for SCP-1471, he contemplated calling in his superiors to inform him that he will need a full psych evaluation as he felt like this was becoming a massive issue, "Please don't baby," the voice said now sounding very worried, did it just call him baby?

"Please let me out baby I don't want to be trapped anymore," enough was enough Izuku threw open the door only to be tackled by an instance of 1471. It wasn't an attack, however, in fact, the sounds Izuku heard were that of a happy dog seeing its master again and the giggles of a girl who found their lover again, the only assault he felt was that of a boney skull on his cheek as the instance licked him… it was corporeal. How? Then it dawned on him, Blackbird said all those years ago that he had a dormant quirk and it was now awake, "Amazing isn't it," the voice of Blackbird said as he stood over the pair as Inko and Izuku's squad MTF Omegon 17 arrived. When they went to raise their rifles at the now physical instance of 1471, Blackbird raised a hand to stop them, "No no this is something worth keeping outside of a cage."

"O5-5, sir, this is a Euclid class SCP. As far as we know this could be a hunting ploy."

"I would never hurt my Izu-kun," the instance said holding Izuku close with an audible growl, his head between her breasts. Inko and Izuku flinched at her statement; it called Izuku "her Izu-kun." Izuku looked up into her glowing white eyes watching the rims turn a tinge of red, "I know you wouldn't dream of it 1471," Blackbird said before looking at Izuku, " You have questions so let me answer the important one for you; She was the girl you were told you had a fondness for."

"Fondness? I think you mean straight loved," the instance said her tail wagging fiercely.

Clearing his throat Blackbird continued, "Yes well due to her unpredictable nature we needed to act quickly to stop irreversible damage to your mind. We had your mother work with the lie up until now; your memories should be restoring themselves thanks to 1471." He was right, being near her did bring those memories back so why didn't he feel the negative effects, Izuku surmised it was due to an active choice to not hurt him on SCP-1471's part. Izuku gently pushed away from SCP-1471's chest taking in a gasp of air, "What do we do with her," he asked breaking the silence.

"Let me stay please," the instance said ears lowering; "I don't want to be alone anymore."

Izuku looked at her seeing the small tears forming in her eyes and looked to Blackbird, "With your permission, I'd like to have her in Omegon 17 as our tech infiltrator." Blackbird nodded with a smile as if expecting this outcome, "I wouldn't have it any other way. But I must warn you both; if you go so much as out of line I will not hesitate to dispose of you both," Blackbird warned the pair looking them in the eyes. Izuku stood up on his feet and saluted his superior, "We won't let you down sir."
