Peter 1

"So let me get this straight-" I said at the dining room table with an empty tea mug in front of me. "After you dissolved the Hex, Billy and Tommy just…disappeared?"

Wanda nodded.

She was explaining what exactly happened at Westview.

The story was actually kind of sad. After the big fight with Thanos, she was at a low point. She was so devastated by Vision's death, in fact, that she lost control and her powers went berserk.

In this big burst of magic, she created an entire television sitcom-based world where Vision was alive. She didn't mean to do this, but she missed Vision so badly so it was created from her subconscious.

In that world, things were practically perfect. She lived in a nice house with Vision, they had friends and neighbors, and eventually they had twin boys named Billy and Tommy.

The only problem was that she had taken an entire town hostage in the process.

Everyone in Westview, New Jersey was now under her control, even if she hadn't realized it at the time.

To make matters worse, SWORD, an off-shoot from SHIELD and a witch named Agatha Harkness were watching her with their own personal agendas.

SWORD wanted to dismantle the big dome that Wanda had created and free the people inside. But the director, Tyler Hayward, also wanted to get Vision back so they could make weapons out of him.

Agatha Harkness wanted to use Wanda's powers for herself.

Eventually, Wanda found out that she was hurting people, so she had to destroy the Hex. Vision dissolved in front of her. Their house was reduced to a foundation and everyone was free from her spell except Agatha.

But there was something I didn't understand.

"Did you ever see the twins leave?" I asked.

"No." she answered. "They were in their room when the house disappeared."

As she told us the story, she had been fighting back tears. It was a really hard story for her to tell.

Doctor Strange kept quiet and only asked a few questions.

He was acting like this was an interview, which kind of got on my nerves.

Then again, Strange could be sympathetic sometimes.

He wanted to help me fix my problems after Mysterio revealed my identity.

He needed me for this mission, but he also felt genuinely sorry for me.

Wanda walked over to a nearby bookshelf. She pulled out an ancient-looking book with a leather bound cover.

"I, uh…learned how to pull my soul from my body." she said. "I know there's a technical term for it…"

"It's an astral projection." I said.

She looked at me in surprise.

"I thought Strange was the magic one."

"He is, but he kicked me out of my body and as my soul was floating above my body, he explained that it was an astral projection." I explained. "Super creepy. I do not recommend it."

She shrugged and brought the book over to the table.

"It helps with multitasking."

Wanda set the book on the table. There was a drawing of a sorceress etched on the leather cover.

"Is this what I think it is?" Doctor Strange asked.

She nodded.

"The Darkhold. I've been studying it. Billy and Tommy aren't gone. They're still out there, existing in some form. Vision's time has come." her voice broke. "But not the boys'. If I can find the right spell, then maybe I can bring them back."

"I must warn you, Wanda, that you're getting involved in things that have been largely uninvestigated. Even us masters of the mystic arts don't know much about bringing fabricated souls back into existence." Doctor Strange said.

"Look, I know I'm going beyond some limits," she said. "But Billy and Tommy are out there, fully conscious. And they're hurt. They're afraid."

Doctor Strange looked doubtful, but I kind of sympathized with Wanda. She might've been going to extremes, but I could understand where she was coming from.

I glanced at Strange.

"Hey, if I could bring back my Aunt May and Tony Stark, I would."

"What?" Strange asked.

I realized that I hadn't told him about what happened.

"I saw Tony Stark die." Wanda said. "He was very brave that day."

I gave a sad smile. "He was."

I missed him so much. I wonder what he would think about everything that had happened since he left.

There were some days when I still needed him.

"And your Aunt-" She hesitated, wondering if this was okay to ask about.

My throat burned. Time for my sob story, I guess.

"Vision wasn't wrong about the multiverse being dangerous." I said, looking at Strange. "Four months ago, well-"

I never got to finish. Because suddenly, the air around us rippled like a summer heat wave. I heard whispers and fragments of conversations.

The temperature went from freezing cold to blazing heat.

"We're all seeing this, right?" Doctor Strange asked.

"Yeah." Wanda said.

My head started buzzing. It was the same feeling when I first met the other Peters.

Particles of light appeared. They swirled and danced around us until they arranged themselves in three groups on the floor.

Suddenly, three bodies replaced the lights.

They were sprawled-out on the ground, partially unconscious.

Wanda, Strange, and I stared at them in shock.

"Ow, my head." one of them groaned.

"That was way more uncomfortable than the last go-around." the other guy complained.

Suddenly, I recognized those two voices. And they recognized me.

"Peter?" we all said at the same time.

I dashed over and yanked them onto their feet.

Their eyes got big when they saw me.

"Peter!" we all shouted.

Suddenly, I was pulled into a tight group-hug with the two other Spider-Men.

"Dude!"

"Dude!"

"Dudes!"

We squeezed each other tighter and all laughed like kids.

It was so good to see them again.

I desperately needed to see a friend that remembered me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Well, long story." Peter 3 said.

"Oh, you know what happened?" Peter 2 asked. "Because I was just dragged out of bed."

The sweatpants and t-shirt definitely showed that he had been dragged out of bed. Meanwhile, Peter 3 was wearing a suit and tie.

Peter 3 shook his head.

"Yeah, sorry. I don't know."

"But I do."

The third person stood up.

I recognized him from the news stories. He had tried to take over the world, attacking New York first.

"Loki." I whispered.

Doctor Strange was already one step ahead of me.

He levitated Loki into the air.

But Loki broke the spell with his own green magic.

Just as he was free, Wanda created two balls of energy in her hands.

"Think very carefully about your next moves." she said threateningly.

"Whoa! Whoa!"

The two Peters stepped in front of them, trying to break up a potential fight

"What's going on here?" Peter 2 demanded.

Peter 3 turned to me.

"So we know who the magic doctor is, but who's the witch and sad office worker?"

Wanda's magic orbs died down a little bit.

"Okay. I'm right here."

"Yeah. Sorry, ma'am." Peter 2 said for the other Peter.

I put my web shooters on.

"Now let me explain-" Loki started.

I shot webs at Loki, pinning him to the ground. I'd let him talk, but I wanted to make sure he couldn't move.

"What was that for?" Peter 2 asked me.

I guess he was worried that I got darker since he last saw me.

"He's the Norse God of mischief," Wanda said, scowling at Loki. "We can't and don't trust him."

"That and he tried to take over New York thirteen years ago." Doctor Strange added.

Peter 2 had an expression that read, 'Now I've seen everything'.

Loki gawked at the webbing.

"What in Odin's name is this?" he asked.

"That's synthetic web fluid." Peter 3 said proudly. "It should dissolve in a few hours."

Loki's hands glowed green again and the webbing dissolved instantaneously.

I should've seen that coming.

"Or in a few seconds." Peter said.

Loki stood up.

"Now before you shoot me with your spider webs or anything, please let me explain."

"Oh, so you can backstab us while we listen to your little sob story?" Strange asked.

I had heard that Loki could cast projections of himself while his actual body was doing something else. That's how he was able to do things like kill a SHIELD agent or terrorize German civilians.

"Oh, yes." Loki sighed. "I'm notorious for that, aren't I?"

I shrugged. "Well, you created your own reputation."

"But I've changed."

So he was going with that excuse?

"And so have I." Wanda said sarcastically. "I gone from a test subject in a terrorist facility to a full-on witch."

Loki gave her a weird look.

"My adopted mother was a witch, so being one isn't necessarily good or bad."

"She means bad." I said.

Doctor Strange conjured a small shield in his hand.

"Loki Laufeyson, haven't I made it clear that you're a threat to this Earth?"

"Listen," Loki said. "It's been a very trying past few months."

"Oh, yeah. It must've been because you've been dead for the past seven years."

I said, giving him an icy glare.

I was no match against Loki's skill and magic, but I was ready to fight and defend Earth.

"OKAY!"

Peter 2 stepped in between us before we could do an all-out brawl.

"Before you guys start trying to kill each other, or turn each other into toads or whatever it is that magic users do in this dimension, I think we should all just settle down, get to know each other and-"

"Figure out how the heck we all got here." Peter 3 finished.

As much as I wanted to spar against Loki, I agreed with the two Peters. After all, what Loki did couldn't be undone. Whatever I would do to him wouldn't make it better.

Doctor Strange nodded.

"That sounds reasonable."

Wanda casted a dirty look at Loki. "As long as one of us doesn't try anything stupid."

Loki flipped out two daggers and placed them on the floor.

"Just a token of me not doing anything stupid." he said.

"Okay." Peter 3 said, "Peter 2, Peter 1 and I already know each other. And we've all met Doctor Wizard."

I grimaced. "Uh, actually-"

"It's Doctor Strange." Strange corrected.

"Well, I was gonna say he doesn't remember you." I said.

Peter 3 raised an eyebrow.

"Well, I think I would definitely remember if I met three Spider-Men."

Loki held up his hand.

"Hold on. Your name is Peter." He said, pointing to Peter 2. "Your name is also Peter. And the boy is named Peter too?"

"I'm actually Peter 1." I said. "Peter Two is the blue-eyed one."

"Peter Parker." Loki said.

"Wait a minute, we didn't say anything about last names." Peter 3 said suspiciously.

Loki's eyes widened in realization.

"You're the variants."

"What?" Peter 2 asked.

"Yeah…We are." I said, pretending I knew what he was talking about.

"What's a variant?" Peter 3 asked.

Doctor Strange had described the other Peters as Variants. Was that some kind of sorcerer terminology or something?

"Let me start from the beginning." Loki said.

He began explaining to us about this organization called Time Variance Authorities who monitor activities all throughout history. They protect the timeline by making sure everyone does what they were destined to do. And if someone falls out of line, it makes the timeline diverge, causing a branch.

Then the TVA sends in a taskforce, destroys that branch of the timeline and takes in the person who caused it to branch. That person is deemed as a variant.

Usually, they'll hold the variant on trial, which will usually end in them getting pruned, which really just means getting sent to the Void. This place at the end of the timeline.

"You three Peter Parkers are variants." Loki said. "According to the TVA, you're not supposed to exist."

That statement burned.

"Okay, ow." Peter 2 said.

Strange turned to Wanda.

"And he's telling the truth this time?" he asked.

While Loki was talking, Wanda's eyes would flash from time to time. I think she was trying to figure out if he was lying.

"Yes."

"But what does that make you?" Peter 2 asked.

He hesitated for a second. I looked to Wanda to see if he was lying, but she didn't react.

"I was destined to rot in an Asgardian prison until the time came to escape and secretly take over the throne."

"Then you and your brother, Thor stop the goddess of Death." Doctor Strange said.

"Yes. And then get killed." Loki finished.

I remembered hearing Thor say that Loki was killed by Thanos. I wondered if Loki was trying to do something good or betray Thanos for his own agenda.

Knowing Loki, he was probably only serving himself in that instant.

"You say you've changed." Peter 2 said. "Are you a variant too?"

"Yes. From after the Battle of New York."

I sighed. He said he changed, but a lot of important milestones hadn't happened yet. The time he just came from was when he was the most evil and dangerous.

"See? He's even more dangerous than the other Loki." I said to Strange and Wanda.

"He hasn't lied yet." Wanda reminded me.

"And we have more pressing matters than what happened in New York all those years ago." Doctor Strange added.

Peter 3 asked the next question on the list.

"So how did you, me and the other Peter get sucked into this dimension? Because don't get me wrong, I'm excited to see the younger guy,"

He turned to me with a thumbs-up. I grinned.

"But I was kind of ripped from my dimension and I don't know if we have, like a plan to get back yet."

"I was escaping from TVA guards and I found your temporal aurora. They were going to kill me instead of pruning me, so I took this tempad-"

He pulled a small device from his pocket that looked like a gameboy with an orange-tinted screen.

"And traveled to this time and location by accident. But before I stepped through the portal, one of the guards destroyed your temporal aurora. It must've brought you here."

"Is it just me or does this feel more accidental than the last time?" Peter 3 asked.

"Yeah. Sounds like a big coincidence." Peter 2 said.

I rolled my eyes. Technically, this wasn't Loki's fault, but I was still annoyed. Because of his mistake, the two Peters got taken away from their homes again. Then again, hadn't my stupid mistake brought them here the last time?

"Well, what do we do this time? We've gotta get you guys home." I turned to Doctor Strange. 'Plus, there's the whole multiverse-thing to worry about."

Loki shook his head.

"I don't have a home anymore. I'm supposed to be dead in this timeline and the TVA will be looking for me."

Something about what he said reminded me of the Spider-Man bad guys not wanting to go home after they found out they died.

On one hand, Loki had a genuine reason to not want to go back. This Loki's demise hadn't happened yet. If we sent him back to the place he came from, he'd get killed. But on the other hand, I still couldn't forget what he did. Maybe he deserved to go back.

Suddenly, my spider-sense started buzzing.

The other Peters sensed it too. They had an alert expression as they looked around the room, trying to figure out what was about to happen.

The conversation between Loki, Strange, and Wanda was reduced to white noise while background noises were turned up. The wind and bird songs were so much louder.

"What are they doing?" Doctor Strange was asking.

"They sense something." I could hear Wanda say. "Don't you see it?"

We were being drawn to the front of the house. Something was happening…..Something big.

"Something's coming." I said.

Peter 2 opened the door.

With a loud creak, it swung open.

I could feel the others following us.

We were going towards the danger when we should've been getting away.

We walked onto the lawn and stared at the sky, the landscape, the ground and the trees.

Everything on the eastern side of the house was gone.

In its place was a humongous tsunami-like storm, billowing across the land, straight towards us.

It wasn't just sucking up the grass and trees, it was enveloping everything. The sky, the atmosphere, outer space, pure matter. That's what this storm wanted. But not to feed on, to destroy.

"The alioth?" Loki asked.

"No." Wanda said, "Something much worse."

It was getting closer. We needed to get out of here.

Strange created a portal and we all stepped through. Even Loki, who I didn't think had used a portal before.

We ended up on Bleecker Street, in front of the Sanctum Sanctorum.

But it was only much worse there.

The storm had picked up speed. Even though it was further away from us, it was quickly swallowing up everything in its path. Including and especially people.

"It's just like the dream." Strange said in horror.

I could hear screams and sounds of metal breaking and glass shattering.

It just occurred to me that MJ and Ned might be caught in the storm.

I lurched forward, about to make a mad dash to Queens. But Peter 2 stopped me.

"You're going to get killed."

"I can't leave them!" I protested.

For a second, his grip lessened. He knew who I was talking about.

Suddenly, Wong burst out of the front doors.

I remembered him from the Sanctum, but I doubted that he remembered me.

"Strange! We have mystic arts users streaming in from Hong Kong. All of Eastern Asia and most of the Americas is destroyed."

"I know, Wong. Just give me a minute. We're trying to figure something out." Strange said.

"We don't have a minute!" Loki shouted over the wind. "This entire world is coming apart."

I fought the temptation to make a snide comeback.

"No. Not just this world." Wanda said with a dire look. "The entire universe and all its branches."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Peter 2 asked.

She shook her head.

"I don't know. But whatever this storm is, it's destroying all of that."

The tsunami storm was getting closer.

"Wong, try to hold down the Sanctum." Strange ordered.

He scoffed. "The Hong Kong Sanctum is destroyed, but I'll do my best."

He disappeared back inside.

"Wanda, can you hold it back?" I asked.

She began creating a protective barrier in front of us.

The storm was pressing against it. Lightning came from the purplish cloud, striking at the barrier.

"I won't be able to hold it for long." she grunted.

The storm leaked over the barrier and spilled overhead.

"I can't….hold it!" she shouted.

Strange and Loki tried to help her, but it was too little too late.

The barrier began to crack.

We only had one other option.

"Run!"

So I broke into a full-on sprint down the surviving street.

A piece of debris knocked me to the concrete.

I skinned my knees and elbows, but Peter 2 wrenched me back to my feet and dragged me along with him.

I kept running alongside the others.

We were almost at the end of the street when I realized it was pointless.

Wanda threw up another barrier. But this time, she could only protect the six of us.

The storm spilled over and continued to destroy everything else.

The ground we were standing on was giving out.

I huddled on the last surviving pieces of street with the others.

The storm pushed down on us. When Wanda's barrier held out, the storm shrieked and tried harder. The wind became more intense. The dome got smaller and smaller.

The pressure was so high, I thought I was going to explode.

Then there was a loud crack and I felt my atoms come apart as I shouted.

"MJ!"

I had failed her in almost everything. I couldn't be there when she needed me. And when I tried to keep my distance, she was still in danger.

This mass-destruction was my fault too. Yes, maybe Wanda, Loki and Strange were also to blame, but I helped get the ball rolling when I went to Strange in the first place. Because of me, the two Peters were stranded again, Aunt May and Mr. Stark were dead, and everyone else was going to die.

It became so physically painful that I couldn't say her name.

I could only scream.

I could feel a storm scraping up the last remaining pieces of the universe.

Somehow I knew that everyone else was destroyed, but for some reason, three Spider-Men and three magic users weren't.

These were the last thoughts that swirled through my mind before I plunged into oblivion.

Thanks for reading! The next few chapters will have a lot of dialogue because there will be a lot of stuff to explain.

I'm going full-out spider bros in this story because their chemistry and friendships were amazing in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

There have been some rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men will come back in another movie. Hopefully that's not just wishful thinking.

Yes, the Darkhold exists in this story, but it's purpose won't be as nefarious. This time, Wanda is motivated to protect her boys instead of finding a universe where they exist. In the movie, if she would've looked for a universe where the twins needed her, then I bet she could've avoided the whole villain thing.

I'll be updating soon!
