It was thanksgiving and Oliver was sitting on the end of Felicity's bed watching as Felicity tried to pick out a dress for that night. "I can't believe your parents said yes" he said to Felicity who was in her closet. Moira had invited Felicity and her family over to their house for thanksgiving dinner. Oliver thought they would say no but Felicity told him they said yes. He was shocked when she told him that.

"Oliver my mom loves you. She is already picking out wedding dresses for me which is really weird and I think my dad wants to check out your family. I wish he wouldn't be so overprotective" she said.

Oliver shrugged his shoulders. "You're his youngest daughter. It makes sense he'd be a little overprotective" he said.

Felicity rolled her eyes. "Yea well it can be annoying. So which dress" Felicity asked holding up a red dress and a blue dress.

"Definitely the blue" Oliver said pointing to the dress. Felicity looked at him shocked.

"I thought you said red was your favorite color to see me in" Felicity said.

Oliver nodded. "When it's just you and me. Red is like our color. You wear the red dress with red lipstick. It is like your date night color when your with me. No one else should get to enjoy that. Besides the first time I ever saw you, you were in the school library chewing on a red pen. It's just kind of special to me" he said.

"You never told me that" Felicity said.

"Yea I just associate red with us going on a date or something romantic happening between us and when I first saw you I was really nervous to talk to you because you were so beautiful" Oliver said.

Felicity looked at him and smiled. "You really thought I was beautiful when you first saw me" she said.

Oliver nodded and pulled her close to him. "I still do" he said kissing her. Felicity deepened the kiss. They started laying on the bed and Oliver could feel his pants tightening. He pulled away. "You should get ready" he said.

Felicity nodded. "Your right" she said getting up. She took his hand. "Thank you by the way for waiting until I'm ready for us to have sex" Felicity said.

Oliver smiled. "No problem. I just want it to be special for you" he said.

Felicity smiled at him. "Well I appreciate that. I'll be right back" Felicity said going into her closet. Oliver watched her leave and sat there thinking about how he was going to tell her. He'd been waiting to tell her that he loved her but couldn't get the words out. He never told anyone that. Hell he never felt this way about anyone before. He was struggling with how to tell her. He wanted to tell her weeks ago but he chickened out. What was he so afraid of? He was going to tell her tonight. "So how do I look" Felicity asked walking back into the room in the blue dress.

"I love you" Oliver blurted out. That definitely wasn't the way he wanted to tell her. Felicity looked at him shocked.

"What did you say" she asked blushing a little.

"I said I love you" Oliver said. Felicity looked like she was about to cry. Oliver got up and hugged her. He cupped her face and looked into her eyes. "I'm sorry. It wasn't supposed to come out like that. I've been wanting to tell you for a while now but I just didn't know how. I've been freaking out about it for weeks and I guess it just came out. I wanted it to be romantic when I told you. It's OK if you don't say it back. I kind of just dropped this bomb on you and I don't really expect a response" Oliver babbled. Felicity stared at him for a moment then pulled him into a kiss. When she pulled back she smiled at him.

"I love you too" she said.

Oliver smiled at her. "Really" he asked. Felicity nodded her head. "I'm sorry I just blurted it out. It should have been more romantic" he said.

Felicity shook her head. "It was perfect" she said. They just stared at each other for a moment. "We should get going. Your parents are probably waiting for us" Felicity said.

Oliver nodded. "Right" he said.

Oliver and Felicity were driving to Oliver's house when Oliver turned to Felicity. "Felicity before we get to my house I think we should talk about my mother" he said.

Felicity rolled her eyes. "I already told you Oliver she didn't say anything bad to me when she talked to me alone" she lied. Oliver knew his mother had said something to her and it had been bothering him for months. She wouldn't tell him what it was though.

"Whenever you come over to see me or help Thea with her homework there's obvious tension between you and my mom. She had to have said something to you" Oliver said.

"I don't want to come between you and your mom" she said.

"You won't come between us. Just please tell me" he said.

Felicity took a deep breath. "Fine but you have to promise me you won't get mad" she said.

"I promise" Oliver said.

"Your mother offered me $10 million to leave you. Obviously I didn't take it" she said. Oliver sat there quietly mad at his mother. This was going to be a long dinner.

Dinner didn't go as bad as Oliver thought it would. The Lance's all came. Quentin and his dad actually got along while Donna and his mother got along surprisingly well. Sara was in awe of the mansion and got Raisa to show her around. Laurel and Tommy showed up and both Felicity and Sara hounded her with questions about college life. Oliver was watching his mother and Donna cautiously. He didn't want his mother to screw this up for him. Donna actually liked him. "Ollie" Oliver heard his nickname and turned around. Thea was standing behind him.

"Hey speedy" Oliver said. Thea ignored that Oliver used her nickname she didn't like.

"I actually like Felicity so don't be an ass and screw this up" she said to him. Oliver looked over at Felicity with her sisters.

"Don't worry. I have no intentions of screwing this up" Oliver said. They all got together for dinner and ate. It went better than Oliver ever would have imagined it would have.

After dinner and everyone left Oliver drove Felicity home. He then went home himself. When he walked through the door his mother stopped him. "Oliver" she called. He rolled his eyes. He really didn't want to have this argument now on thanksgiving of all days.

"Listen mom I'm tired so I'm going to go to bed" he said starting up the stairs.

"I just wanted to say I really like Felicity and her family. She's one of the good ones" Moira said. This made Oliver stop in his tracks. Apparently they were going to have this argument right now. He turned around.

"Really is that why you offered her $10 million to leave me" he asked.

"I was just trying to protect you but Felicity really does love you" she said.

"I know she does and I know you and her father hate it but guess what me and Felicity are going to be together no matter what you two say or do" he said.

"Oliver I'm sorry" Moira stared.

"I don't want or need your apology but Felicity deserves it. Unless you're going to apologize to her I don't want to hear it. Goodnight mother" Oliver said walking up the stairs.

The next couple weeks were good for Oliver and Felicity. Moira did apologize to Felicity for how she acted and they had started to get closer. Oliver was passing all his classes thanks in part to Felicity and so was Thea now that Felicity was her unofficial tutor. Oliver was at his locker talking to Tommy when Felicity and Sara came running up to them. "Guess what" Felicity said excitedly. Oliver hadn't seen her this excited.

"You and Oliver finally banged" Tommy said laughing. Oliver hit him on the back of the head. "Ow. I'll take that as a no" Tommy said looking to Oliver. Oliver looked at Felicity.

"What's up" he asked.

"I got in" she practically screamed showing Oliver her acceptance letter to MIT. Oliver smiled and took the letter.

"That's amazing. I'm so proud of you. I knew you'd get in" Oliver said kissing Felicity.

"Congratulations" Tommy said hugging her.

"Thank you" she said.

"We're all very proud of her at home. My sister is a genius and will be in a school with other genius's" Sara said.

There was a substitute in their Calculus class so they weren't really doing anything important. The substitute put a movie on for the class. Sara slept through it while Oliver and Felicity sat there talking to each other. "So did any of the schools you applied to accept you yet" Felicity asked. Oliver shook his head.

"No not yet" he said. Oliver could tell Felicity looked sad. "It's Ok I'm sure one of them will accept me soon" he said. Felicity shook her head.

"It's not that although your right. One of those schools is going to accept you. They'd be lucky to have you" she said. Oliver looked at her confused.

"If that's not what's wrong then what is" he asked.

"We never really talked about the fact that we will be so far away from each other and won't see each other every day. What if you move on to someone hotter and forget about me" Felicity asked. Oliver shook his head.

"That won't happen" he said.

"How can you be so sure" she asked.

"First of all I could never forget about you. Secondly there is no one hotter who I would want rather than you" Oliver said.

"When you get to college that could change" Felicity said. Oliver shook his head again.

"Well when you get to college are you going to want someone smarter than me" he asked. Felicity looked at him shocked.

"Of course not" she said.

"Well then there you go. We're going to be OK. I know were young but all I know is that when I picture my future you're there. We're going to make it. I know it's going to be hard and people say high school relationships don't last but we're going to prove them wrong. No matter what challenges come our way we will face them together and become stronger because of them even if we're a thousand miles apart" Oliver said. Felicity smiled at him.

"I love you" she said.

"I love you too" he said. They sat there holding hands watching the movie together knowing no matter what they would always have each other.

When Oliver got home from school Raisa stopped him. "Mr. Oliver you got mail. They must be from colleges" she said. Oliver took the three letters from her.

"Thank you Raisa" he said and he ran up to his room and locked the door. Oliver had applied to a bunch of different schools figuring some college eventually had to accept him. His father offered to talk to the colleges for him but Oliver refused. He wanted to do this right and on his own. He sat on his bed and took a deep breath. He opened the first letter. Denied. The second. Denied. He picked up the third letter. Hopefully this one was the lucky one. He ripped open the envelope and took the letter out. "Mr. Queen we are pleased to inform you, you have been accepted" Oliver read. He read it another three times just to make sure it was real. He smiled. His future was looking brighter already. He took out his laptop. There was something he had to do. He did it without having to buy his way in. Felicity was right. He was proud of himself.

It was coming close to Christmas which was only in another couple days. "So have you told Felicity all about your crazy plan yet" Tommy asked Oliver as they walked through the school hallway.

"No and don't get drunk and open your big mouth and tell her. I want it to be a surprise" Oliver said.

"Hey that was only one time" Tommy said. Oliver gave him a look.

"Ok maybe it was more like five times but I promise my mouth is shut and I won't tell a soul. I haven't even told Laurel" he said.

"How is Laurel" Oliver asked.

"She's great. She'll be home for Christmas and I'm going to introduce her to my father. We'll see how well that goes" Tommy said. Oliver nodded his head.

"Well good luck. Hopefully it goes better than when Felicity met my mother" he said.

"It couldn't have went that bad. You and Felicity are still together and your still talking to your mother" Tommy said.

"She tried to bribe Felicity with $10 million to stop seeing me" Oliver said.

"Damn and she refused" Tommy said. Oliver nodded his head. Tommy patted his shoulder. "You've got a good woman there" he said.

"I know I do" Oliver said. They caught up to Felicity and Sara. Felicity smiled when she saw Oliver.

"Hi" she said.

"Hi" he said back and kissed her. Sara stepped between them.

"Can we not? It is too early for all this cuteness" she said.

"Well hello to you too Sara" Oliver said.

"Don't worry Oliver she's just pissy because Michela hasn't called or text her back" Felicity said.

"Well I'm sorry to hear that" Oliver said. He turned back to Felicity.

"Come to my house tonight. I have a surprise for you. I also have the house to myself" he said.

"Where's the rest of your family going to be" Felicity asked.

"Mom and Dad are having date night, Thea will be at a sleepover and Raisa has the night off. So the house is empty" he said. Felicity smiled at him.

"OK" she said.

Sara leaned in close to her. "Make sure he uses a condom" she whispered.

Oliver had set the living room up really romantic. His family was out for the night and wouldn't be home until the morning. He put on the nicest shirt he had and set up a little picnic for him and Felicity in the living room by the fireplace. He was cooking dinner for them. He wanted the mood to be romantic for what he had to ask her tonight. Nothing was going to interrupt her. He had text her to meet him at his house because he had to set things up. He got a blanket and put it on the floor and got two candles and lit them. When the food was ready he put it on plates and put them on the blanket. Everything had to be absolutely perfect. He looked at himself in the mirror. His hair was perfectly gelled, he had on his nice black button down shirt. He was ready to go. He heard the doorbell ring. OK here goes nothing he thought. He opened the door and standing on the other side was his girlfriend in a sexy red dress which hugged all her curbs perfectly.

"You look beautiful" Oliver said.

"Thank you. You look really handsome Oliver" Felicity said.

"It's nothing compared to you. Come in" Oliver said stepping out of the way so she could enter the house. Felicity walked in.

"So what are we celebrating" Felicity asked as Oliver linked his arm with hers and walked her into the living room.

"What makes you think were celebrating anything" Oliver asked.

"Well you said you had some sort of surprise for me" Felicity said. Oliver nodded as Felicity sat down on the blanket.

"We'll get to that. First we eat" Oliver said and sat down next to her.

"Oliver this is beautiful and too much. You didn't have to go through all this trouble and have Raisa cook us this dinner" Felicity said.

"Actually I cooked it" he said.

Felicity looked at him surprised. "You can cook" she asked. Oliver nodded.

"Yea my mother and Raisa thought me how to make some things" Oliver said.

"Well I'm excited to try it" Felicity said.

After dinner Oliver and Felicity were cuddled up next to each other watching the fire in the fireplace. "That was really good. You're an amazing cook Oliver" Felicity said. Oliver smiled at her.

"Thank you. You know what else I'm amazing at" Oliver said as he kissed Felicity.

They kissed each other until Felicity jumped up. "I almost forgot" she said running over to her purse.

"What's wrong" Oliver asked. Felicity walked back over with something behind her back. "What've you got there" Oliver asked.

"Merry Christmas" Felicity said holding out her gift to Oliver.

Oliver looked at it surprised. "I told you. You didn't have to get me anything. Being with you is all the gift I need" he said.

"I wanted to" Felicity said. Oliver took it and started to unwrap it. "I know Christmas is in two days but I wanted to give it to you know" she said. Oliver saw a picture frame that didn't have a picture in it.

"A picture frame. Thank you" Oliver said kissing Felicity.

"Turn it on" Felicity said.

Oliver looked at her confused. "Turn it on" he asked.

Felicity nodded. "It's not just any old picture frame" she said as she took it from him. She turned it on and showed him. Flashing before him was pictures of the two of them. "There's not a lot of pictures in here but I figured as we get older and are together more we can add more pictures to it. I made it for you" Felicity said. Oliver watched as pictures of the two of them flashed on the screen. Their happy faces smiling up at him. "If you don't like it that's OK. I know it's not the best gift in the world but I thought I'd make something for you that would always remind you of our memories and like I said we can load more pictures in there as time goes on" Felicity said.

Oliver looked up at Felicity. "I love it. Thank you" he said.

Felicity smiled at him. "I didn't even show you the best part" she said. She took it from him and pushed some buttons on the screen and a small wallet sized picture came out.

"This can also print the pictures out. Unfortunately it only makes them wallet sized" Felicity said giving him back the picture frame and the photo. It was a photo of them that was taken by Tommy inside Oliver's car.

Oliver stood up. "OK my turn" he said leaving the room. He came back with a wrapped box.

"Oliver you didn't have to" Felicity said.

Oliver handed her the box. "I had it specially made" he said.

Felicity unwrapped it and saw a red heart necklace with Oliver's face in it. "Oliver it's beautiful" she said.

"You've stolen my heart and I just want you to know that no matter where we end up or what happens to us I will always be with you" he said. Felicity looked up at him.

"It's too much" Felicity said. Oliver shook his head.

"It's not enough. You changed my life and I will always love you for that" he said getting up and putting the necklace around her neck.

Felicity kissed Oliver passionately. "Oliver I have to tell you something" she said.

"I have one more thing for you" Oliver said and got up walking out of the room again. He came back with another wrapped box.

"Seriously Oliver this is too much" Felicity said.

"This is why I invited you here tonight" he said handing her the box. She took the box and unwrapped it. She opened the box and saw an envelope. She took out the envelope and looked at Oliver. "Open it" he said smiling at her. She opened it and saw Oliver's acceptance letter. At the top it said the University of Massachusetts. She looked up at Oliver confused. "I did apply to a lot of colleges, just not here" Oliver said. Felicity was still confused. "Anyone with a brain knows you were going to get into MIT so I figured why be apart if we don't have to. I applied to every school I could find in Massachusetts that was at least an hour away from MIT and I figured one of them had to accept me. When you start your semester at MIT in the fall I will be with you just going to a different school" he said.

"Oliver I can't ask you to do this" Felicity said.

"Well lucky for us you didn't ask and I'm doing it" Oliver said.

"What about your family" Felicity asked.

"We'll get to see them for the holiday breaks and between semesters" he said.

Felicity took his hand. "Are you sure about this" she asked.

He nodded. "There's something else. Look in the box" he said. Felicity looked in the box and saw papers at the bottom. She took them out and looked at them. "They're apartments that would be perfect for us" Oliver said. Felicity looked up at him confused. He took the papers from her and put them to the side and took her hands. "Felicity Megan Lance, will you move in with me" Oliver asked.

Felicity was crying and nodded her head. "Yes I will move in with you" she said kissing him. They kissed passionately.

Oliver pulled back. "We might want to stop before…" he started to say but Felicity stopped him.

"I'm ready" she said.

Oliver looked at her confused. "Your what" he asked.

"I want to have sex with you" she said bluntly.

"Are you sure because we can still wait. I'm not in any rush" Oliver said.

Felicity nodded. "I love you Oliver and I just want to be with you intimately" she said. Oliver smiled and kissed her. He carried her up to his room and once they were in there the clothes came off an Oliver and Felicity showed how much they loved each other. Neither knew what the future held but they both knew whatever it held they would be there together to face it side by side.
