Sam had seen many things during his time in World Marshall and Desperado, but Japan was a wake call to how little he knew about the world around him, and none were more interesting than the boy out cold in the Dojo he has him held in, it was a simple job for him. He was supposed to scout for candidates for the program, create new PMCs for Armstrong's war, and take out anyone that could be an issue. When Sam caught this green-haired boy from midair after the known Symbol of Peace rushed in to save him and a blonde-haired boy with an explosion ability, looking the boy over, he could see the bruises on him. The kid had spirit from what he saw when he ran to save his bully from a man made out of sludge, the same spirit he had when he first tried to take down Desperado and Senator Armstrong only to fail and be recruited to their cause.
Samuel thought about his decisions and something in him made him smile, this boy could have the ability to take down Armstrong, maybe even Samuel himself. The thought amused him greatly, this ordinary boy with the right training could succeed him and inherit his blade, "Where am I," the boy said waking up. Sam smiled tossing down a Bokken, "The question you should be asking is whether or not you are able to take me on to escape." Grabbing the wooden sword Izuku stood up and turned in every direction, "If you fail in besting me in combat within the next four months, then the only way you will be leaving here is in a body bag." Sam charged right at Izuku with a strike hard enough to splinter the wood of the Bokken, if Izuku is going to leave this hell then he would need to learn and fast.
As the months passed Izuku learned more and more about Samuel and what his motives were, although his "survival of the fittest" mentality was yet to be desired Izuku understood why he thought that way. He and Sam were the same in some aspects; both wanted to be the greatest in their fields and both found out the hard way that some dreams are impossible to attain, but Izuku knew that he could still be the hero he wanted to be in his own way versus what Sam did by joining a PMC villain corporation instead of sticking with his morals. There was no point in dwelling on it now as Izuku returned to his training seeing the two LQ 84 Fenrir units Sam brought in to guard him so he couldn't escape. Izuku paid strict attention to what forces were keeping him in and everyone else out; outside the dojo was a battalion of Desperado's Cyborg PMCs, behind them in the courtyard of the Dojo was an acquired Gekko Bot, and within the dojo itself was the two Fenrir's along with himself the prize at the center. Izuku would earn his freedom, if it meant playing it Sam's way then fine, he will play his game.
Samuel knew that the end was near, all-around Japan pro heroes continued to search for his student, and this amused him more than his future prospects with World Marshall and his plans for Izuku. His trail was obvious now, easily followed and that's what he wanted now. Today was the day, the final test for Izuku, to truly prove he can be free and succeed him one day. Dropping onto the property he set the Gekko bot on defense mode knowing that All Might would be coming, Sam knew he was being watched not just by Pro Heroes but by Desperado as well. It was not easy to avoid Mistral's dwarf Gekko's to put the finishing touches on his plan and the excuses he gave were getting harder and harder to craft, looking down at the High-Frequency Katana in his hands Sam smiled, Izuku may not yet be worthy of the Murasama but he would prove it today. He walked to the inner dojo with the Fenrir's walking out and sitting outside on standby mode, "Hello young Shinobi."
"Good morning master."
Sam was taken aback for a split second before smirking, "Today the Heroes will be coming to attempt to liberate you. It may or may not play in their favor and you know it, your final test is at hand." Izuku stood from the Dojo floor placing a hand on the Bokken, "You will not need that Shinobi," Sam says tossing the sword to Izuku, "If you can land a single strike on me then you can leave, fail and you die here and we return to our regularly scheduled international incident." Izuku knew what was at stake now as he picked up the High-Frequency Katana, it was now or never he charged right at Sam with the intent of earning his freedom. The blade clashed with Murasama sending sparks into the air, "So close young Shinobi, yet so far," Sam said pushing Izuku back before going in for an attack not letting him find an opening. Each strike on the blade caused Izuku to stagger almost being brought to his knees, evading away from Sam's attack he gasped for air. If Izuku was to escape this dojo he needed to land a hit, closing his eyes he felt the wind blow over him through the holes of the dojo roof calming his mind and letting the wind flow over him.
"You won't leave here alive Shinobi."
Sam's voice rang in Izuku's ears creating a mental image in his head feeling like time around him slowing down. Snapping his eyes open he charged straight for Sam sliding under his swinging blade and striking his side, "Well done young Shinobi," Sam's voice rings out surprising Izuku looking at him, his exo-skin had a deep scratch on the side but no cuts, looking at his sword he saw that the enhancements that give it the ability to cut down to the molecular level were turned offline, "You certainly have what it takes to strike me down, especially with your now awakened quirk." Sam knew the ability well but it was only achieved through cybernetic enhancement, Raiden's Zendatsu. Seeing Izuku using a similar ability made Sam smile confidently as well as Izuku's new mentality, Raiden viewed his sword as a tool, Izuku knew what his blade was and how to use it. "You are free to leave young Shinobi, you have passed your final test," Izuku listened to Sam's words they cut deeper than his sword. He could hear the fighting outside with the PMCs and the Pro Heroes, they were here, "The time will come when we will meet again and, in that time, we will see if you are truly worth of inheriting my sword. Until that day my young Shinobi, be the hero you want to be not what this world wants."
Izuku turned to face his mentor only to find him gone, and hearing the pair of Fenrir's entering the room, their guard mode turned to kill. Izuku would have to fight his way out of this.
