"So your saying a guy in a green hood flew in and single handedly took out three armed kidnappers" Quentin said to Oliver. Him Tommy and Laurel were being questioned by Quentin and his partner. Oliver just stared at him and didn't answer. "I mean who is he? Why would he do that" Quentin asked.

"I don't know. Find him and you can ask" Oliver said.

Quentin looked over at Laurel. "Honey is that what happened" he asked.

Laurel shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. I was unconscious the whole time. When I woke up Tommy and Oliver were already awake but if Oliver said some man in a hood saved us then I believe him" she said. Quentin didn't look so sure. "I saw him the other night when me, Sara and Felicity were at that new club. It's not out of the realm of possibility that he could have saved us" Laurel said.

Quentin nodded and looked at Tommy. "What about you" Quentin asked holding up the sketch that was drawn of the guy in the hood.

"Did you see the hood guy" Quentin asked Tommy. Oliver looked at Tommy. He still hadn't had the chance to talk to him about what Tommy might have saw. He was hoping Tommy would go along with his story.

"I saw…" Tommy started to answer but then looked at Oliver. Oliver looked at him expectantly wondering what his best friend was going to say. "Just movement. Everything blurry. I was unconscious for most of it. When I finally came to, Oliver was already awake" Tommy said. Oliver looked away from him. Even if Tommy did see something he was covering for Oliver thankfully.

"Yeah. I'm glad your back Oliver. I really am. Mostly for Felicity's sake but it's kind of suspicious to me that you've only been back for one day and someone's already gunning for you. Aren't you popular" Quentin said.

"Were you able to identify the men who kidnapped us" Laurel asked.

"Scrubbed Identities. Untraceable weapons. These were pros" Quentin's partner answered.

"Yeah and they probably figured Oliver's mother would pay a king's ransom to get him back or a queen's ransom. You two were probably caught in the crossfire. After all a parent would do anything to keep their child safe" Quentin said.

"I don't find your tone appropriate detective" Moira said walking into the room with Walter.

"If Oliver could think of anything else he'll be in touch. Thank you gentlemen for coming" Walter said looking at the two detectives.

"Wait. I know who did this" Tommy said.

Quentin rolled his eyes. "Not this again Mr. Merlyn. I already told you. We investigated your father and found nothing" Quentin said.

"That's because my father is really good at hiding his tracks which I already explained to you but you won't listen" Tommy said starting to get angry.

"Alright Mr. Merlyn let's pretend this was your father. Why would he have his own son kidnapped" Quentin asked.

Laurel took Tommy's hand. "Just drop it babe" she said.

"No I won't drop it. First of all stop with this Mr. Merlyn crap. Mr. Merlyn is my shitbag of a father. My name is Tommy and I'm your son in law whether you like it or not. Secondly this is probably my father's crazy manipulative way to try to get me back. That guy in the hood probably works for him" Tommy said his anger coming out.

Quentin shook his head. "Like I said we already investigated your father, Tommy. He hasn't done anything illegal" Quentin said. Oliver sat there watching the two men go at it. What was going on between Tommy and his father?

Tommy's anger got the better of him. "How much is he paying you guys" he asked.

"Tommy don't" Laurel said.

"Excuse me" Quentin said.

Laurel turned to her father. "He didn't mean anything by it" she said.

"Yes I did. My father has to be paying you guys off because there is no way you guys could be this stupid" he said. Both the detectives stood up and so did Tommy staring down his father in law.

"I think you guys should leave. Everyone just needs to take a breather" Walter said. Quentin looked at him and nodded. He grabbed the sketch and put it in his briefcase. He turned to Laurel.

"You really had to choose him to marry and have a child with. I swear my daughters have the worst taste in men" Quentin said. He turned to Tommy who continued to glare at him. "Let's get one thing straight. You're the father of my grandchild nothing more nothing less. Laurel may have lost all sense when she married you but you will never be part of my family" Quentin said.

Now Laurel stood up. "Dad stop" Laurel said.

He turned away from them as Oliver stood up. "Welcome home Oliver" Quentin said as he and his partner followed Raisa as she led them out of the house. Oliver watched them leave.

Laurel turned to Tommy. "You really had to pick a fight with him" she said.

Tommy's anger was at an all time high. "WHAT SO THAT WAS MY FAULT" he yelled louder than he intended to.

"I don't care who's fault it was. You both have to get your heads out of your asses because neither one of you are going anywhere in my life. Make it work" Laurel said.

"Why don't you tell him that? Every fight me and your father have is somehow always my fault" Tommy said still pretty angry.

"I have but I'm asking you as my husband to be the bigger man and not fight with my father every time you guys are in the same room. You couldn't even get along on our wedding day. If you guys can't figure this crap between you guys out you'll both lose me because I can't keep playing mediator for the two of you" Laurel said walking away from Tommy. "It was nice seeing you again Oliver minus the kidnapping part. We should do it again sometime" Laurel said.

Oliver nodded. "Yeah we should" he said. Laurel left the house without looking at Tommy and Moira and Walter left the room.

Tommy sighed and sat down on the couch. "I just don't know how to deal with that man" he said as Oliver sat down next to him.

"It's definitely hard but not impossible" Oliver said.

"How did you do it when you and Felicity were dating back in high school" Tommy asked.

"I don't really know. I guess he saw that me and Felicity loved each other and I wasn't going anywhere. Truthfully though I don't think he ever really liked me" Oliver said.

Tommy sighed. "Well I don't have to think. I know he doesn't like me" he said.

Oliver nodded. "That was crazy though. Us getting kidnapped. I wonder what they wanted" Oliver said trying to see what Tommy knows.

"I don't know but luckily that hood guy took care of them for us" Tommy said. He turned to Oliver. "Did you see his face" Tommy asked.

Oliver looked at him surprised. "What do you mean" he asked.

"When I found you, you were standing over those men's bodies. You must have seen this hooded guy" Tommy said.

Oliver shook his head. "Not really. His face was covered up" he said.

"Damn. I wanted to see if I could find out if that guy works for my father" Tommy said.

Tommy left a little while later and Oliver was in his room on his computer reading all about Adam Hunt the first name on his father's list. He looked at a headline from the newspaper that said that Adam Hunt was cleared of all charges. The law wasn't doing it's job so he was going to have to take matters into his own hands. Adam Hunt was too dangerous to still be walking around free on the streets. Oliver looked at the picture of him and Felicity on his desk. He smiled at it. Those were happier and simpler times. Now everything about him was so complicated. He didn't know how they would possibly be able to make a relationship work. He turned over his father's book and found Adam Hunt's name on the list. "Is that book interesting" Oliver heard Raisa ask standing in the doorway holding a tray of food.

Oliver nodded his head. "It's just a little bit of light reading" he said putting the book away and clicking out of the window he had opened on his computer. She walked over to his desk.

"I missed you Raisa" Oliver said.

"No kitchen on the island" Raisa said nodding her head.

"No. No friends either" Oliver said. Raisa smiled at him. Oliver got up from his desk and walked over to her. "Hey thank you" Oliver said taking the tray from her. He put it on a table. "Do I seem different" Oliver asked.

"No. Your still a good boy" Raisa said as Oliver walked over to her.

"I wasn't always" Oliver said.

"You've always had a good heart" she said.

"I hope so" Oliver said as Raisa nodded. "I want to be the person you always told me I could be" Oliver said looking away from her and at his desk where the picture of him and Felicity sat. "The man Felicity always believed I could be" he said.

Raisa smiled and nodded her head. "You are. Even Felicity see's it. She knows you're the man she deserves" Raisa said.

Oliver shook his head. "I could live a thousand lives and never be deserving of Felicity. She deserves better than me" he said sadly.

"Well if you ask me she got the best with you" Raisa said.

Oliver walked out of the house with his coat on. "Oliver" he heard his name called out from behind him. He turned around and saw Felicity walking up to him. "I'm so happy your OK" she said hugging him.

Oliver nodded. "Yeah I'm fine. What are you doing here? I thought you had to work" he said pulling back and looking at her.

She nodded her head. "I do but first I have to do something. I want to introduce you to John Diggle" Felicity said. She motioned for Diggle to step forward. Diggle walked up to the couple.

"John Diggle" Diggle said holding out his hand for Oliver to shake.

Oliver shook it. "Oliver Queen" Oliver introduced himself.

Felicity smiled at Oliver. "He will be your bodyguard for now on" she said.

"I don't need a babysitter" Oliver said.

Felicity shook her head. "You may not need it but I do. I was scared when I heard what happened. I can't lose you again. Please just do this for me" Felicity said.

Oliver looked at Diggle. "OK if it'll make you feel better" Oliver said. He never could say no to Felicity.

Oliver sat in the back of the car while Diggle drove them around the city. This was an opportunity for Oliver to check out this Diggle guy and make sure that he was good enough to be protecting Felicity. "So what do I call you" Oliver asked.

"Diggle's good" Diggle responded. Oliver nodded. "Dig if you want" Diggle said.

"You're ex-military" Oliver said.

"Yes sir. 105th Airborne out of Kandahar, retired" Diggle said. Oliver nodded. Impressive he's a military man. "Been in the private sector a little more than four years now. I don't want there to be any confusion Mr. Queen. My ability to keep you from harm will outweigh your comfort just like with Felicity" Diggle said.

"How long have you been Felicity's bodyguard" Oliver asked.

"Almost two years now. Felicity's a good person and she's a been a good friend to me. I will protect her from any type of pain even the pain of a broken heart. So don't hurt her Mr. Queen" Diggle said. Oliver didn't answer him. "Do we have an agreement" Diggle asked after a little while. Once again Oliver didn't answer. "Sir" Diggle said. Still no answer. Diggle looked behind him and saw that Oliver was gone. "Sir" he said stopping the car. He got out and opened the back door and looked inside. Oliver was gone. Diggle looked around. He didn't see Oliver anywhere.

A couple blocks down Oliver had changed into clothes that would help him blend into the background more and was walking on the sidewalk. He walked to his father's old factory. He threw the bags he was carrying over the fence and looked at the factory behind the gate. This place was perfect. He jumped over the fence, picked up the bags and started walking to the factory. He looked behind him to make sure nobody saw him. He opened the door to the factory and looked inside. This place needed a lot of work but he was willing to put in the work. He walked in and stopped when he stepped on an old magazine. On the cover was a picture of his father. He picked it up and looked at it. He looked around. The kidnapping was unfortunate and it made him have to move up his plans. The police had done a crappy job trying to keep this city safe. The incident at the club and the warehouse he was taking too when he was kidnapped this was all just the beginning.

Oliver had to get the factory ready. He broke a hole through the ceiling. He moved the crates he had down very carefully. He tore down walls. After a couple days he finally got the factory to a condition he could work with. He bought lights down and finally got the electricity to work. The lights turned on. He set up his computers. He smiled thinking that Felicity would not be happy with the computers he had set up but he had to work with what he had. They worked for him. He was able to scan the whole city with these computers. Oliver started crafting arrows for himself to use. He had a few from the island but he needed more. Oliver looked at the arrow. That would work. He started working out. He had to be in perfect physical shape if he was going to protect this city. He did the salmon ladder perfectly. He hung from the rafters and started doing pushups. He took out a box he had and put it on the table. He opened it and took out the bow that was inside it. He examined the bow.

He set up for tennis balls to bounce to the wall. He started shooting arrows at them. He hit every single one. He watched a news report on the computer about Adam Hunt. He looked in his father's book. Adam Hunt. He was a criminal that had crimes that went deeper than fraud and theft even though those were the only crimes the media focused on with him. He would bully, brine or kill anyone that got in his way. He had to be stopped and Oliver was going to be the one to do it. Oliver took out his suit and got ready. He already went after Adam Hunt once at the club but he miscalculated. He was surrounded by too many people there. He had to get him when he wasn't surrounded by as many people. Adam Hunt was going to be stopped. He was too big a danger to the city. Laurel wasn't able to make sure he stayed behind bars but Oliver had his own methods to make sure Adm Hunt was never a threat to anyone ever again.

Across the city Adam Hunt was walking in a parking garage with three men behind him. "You remind Grell I put him on the bench and I can take him off. I will turn him into a cautionary tale" Adam said to one of his men.

"Yes Mr. Hunt" the man said back to him.

"This attorney, Laurel Lance, you said she wasn't going to be a problem anymore. I told you to fix that situation" Adam said stopping and turning to look at the man.

"I'm working on it Mr. Hunt" the man said.

"What about her sister Felicity? Did you set up that meeting with her like I told you to" Adam asked.

The man nodded his head. "The meeting is tomorrow night at 9" he said.

Adam nodded and stepped closer to the man. "Why are you still here" he asked. The man walked away without saying anything. Adam Hunt and his two remaining men starting walking to his car. An arrow came out of nowhere and hit the light above them. They stopped walking as the lights went out. They looked around not knowing where this arrow came from. Another arrow came out of nowhere and hit one of his men in the chest.

"Get in the car" the last remaining man said as Adam did as he was told. The other man started shooting his gun behind him. Adam looked around. He was scared. The man stopped shooting his gun.

"Hey, you missed" the man heard a voice call out. He looked behind him searching for where the voice was coming from. An arrow hit him in the chest and he fell to the floor dead. Adam heard this from the car. All of a sudden an arrow flew through the car window. Adam laid down on the seat covering his head. When he looked up he saw a arrow sticking out of the door. All of a sudden he was pulled from the car. He saw a man kneeling on the top of the car pointing an arrow at him.

"What? What? Just tell me what you want" Adam said holding his hands up. Oliver jumped off the car and picked Adam up. He pulled him close to him.

"You're going to transfer $40 million dollars in starling city bank account 1141 by 10 p.m. tomorrow night" Oliver said.

"Or what" Adam asked.

"Or I'm going to take it and you won't like how" Oliver said. Adam pulled himself away from Oliver. Oliver stared at him for a moment than walked away. Adam turned toward the man in the hood.

"If I see you again your dead" Adam yelled out to him. Oliver turned around and shot an arrow through the back window of the car. Adam looked at it and when he turned back around the man in the hood was gone. Adam looked around. This man had no idea who he was dealing with but he would learn soon enough.
