A/n: Hello everybody, Psychojack here bringing you another chapter to the tale of Mineta the Mayhem. I thank you guys for those who provided feedback and liked the first two chapters, appreciate it a bunch. Let's see how Mineta continues to struggle in his attempt at becoming a better hero. That aside, let's keep the balls rolling! (Little Mineta joke haha)
--U.A Dorms: Momo's Room - Morning--
Two dark purple eyes slowly opened as sunlight gleamed through the window. As the solar rays hit his peripherals, one fatigued Mineta felt his whole body ache, a result of all the exertions from the night before.
Mineta also realized with wide eyes his current position. Currently, for the moment he was face deep in the fine cushions that were Yaoyorozu's breasts, his hands that were originally trying to hug her during his sleep had ended up failing to completely wrap around the heroine in training, causing his hands to hold her two gelatinous mammaries in his hands.
Mineta sweatdropped.
'Even in my sleep my hands have a mind of their own!'
Mineta pulled his hands away so that he could rub the dust out of his eyes. He took a glance around the room, contemplating everything from last night. It felt so surreal, and it was the most emotionally charged and physically demanding thing he had ever done in his life. He apologized to Momo, lost his virginity to the same woman he adored, and slept with said student inside her dorm room. He wasn't sure how to feel.
'Oh who am I kidding!' Mineta thought to himself.
The grape hero got up standing on the bed and did a victory dance.
'I FEEL FANTASTIC! I FEEL SO ALIVE!' He had tears of joy shoot out of his eyes. Last night truly was amazing.
He heard a shift in the sheets, he almost completely forgot it was still early in the morning, and Momo was asleep.
He looked at the beautiful ravenette. Seeing the light of his eye draped in her silk bed sheets which reached to her lower back while the sunlight emphasized her youthful face, almost glowing from this view. She seemed so calm, so content and almost angelic.
Mineta blushed. He went back into the sheets to cuddle with Momo a little more. At least until the alarm began ringing. It was a gentle tune, a music box tune. In fact when the half sized hero took a glance he realized it was a ballerina themed alarm clock. Momo was definitely a girly girl, it made Mineta chuckle.
The noise however caused his bedmate to stir and shuffle as she began waking up herself. With her hair let down, Mineta admired the thick long curtain of ebony that washed down her smooth back and hips, ingrained into his memory how her breasts were subtly covered by some of her mane. Her yawn was serene to the perverts' ears, the gentle rise of her torso as she yawned and stretched her arms out.
Momo finally opened her eyes, a gentle smile on her face as her lashes rose, unveiling her first sight of the day. The blurriness in her eyes finally ceased as the first sight in front of her was the purple menace she had come to know. Mineta was blushing at her, though not drooling like past times. He seemed to be staring at her as he was standing on the bed, admiring her.
Momo blushed deeply, the memory of last night immediately coursing through her neurons like an epiphany after a hangover. She reflexively pulled her covers upwards, though mostly out of shyness as she was still naked. The normal revulsion she would carry towards Mineta however, that alertness she normally reserved for him was not there however.
"Mineta…" Momo whispered.
Mineta could only mumble. "M-morning Momo…"
Momo's face reddened even more as she felt aches stemming from her delicate areas on her body.
"G-good morning…" Momo said though she couldn't look him in the eye.
"You…you look beautiful when you sleep." Mineta couldn't help himself, it was on his mind. He scratched the back of his head in his admission.
Momo's eyes softened as she met his eyes with her own. Their eyes were so focused on each other. Their pupils were wide, a blush on both their faces as their body language spoke what words could not. Momo had run her hand through her hair behind her right ear, revealing more of herself to Mineta as the boy leaned forward in socially displayed interest at what she might have to say.
As a few seconds ticked away, the creator's guard slowly dropped, accidentally letting the blanket slip from her fingertips, thereby granting Mineta a full view of her body.
Mineta had a nosebleed that shot like a cannon out of him, causing him to fall to the bed almost unconsciously.
Momo was worried. "Mineta! Are you okay?"
Mineta wheezed out. "The gates of heaven have finally been revealed to me…"
Momo didn't know why, but that statement made her place her left hand on her mouth as she giggled. She looked at the time, they were about to be late for class! She immediately threw her blanket to the side as she was now forced to rush.
"Mineta! Get up! Class is about to start soon!"
--Later--
Mineta and Momo had already dressed, albeit their uniforms were a little wrinkled from the haphazard way that they had thrown on their clothes. Both took a number of glances at each other while they dressed, admiring one another when they thought the other wasn't looking. Momo had her bag already by her bedside, whilst Mineta didn't necessarily need his bag. He could just borrow some paper and a pen from his pal Denki.
"Hey Mineta…about last night…" Momo hesitated, as she wasn't sure how to approach this.
Mineta paid rasp attention, after all it was 'awkward morning after sex talk'. They did offer each other their virginities, there are quite a few things to discuss. The thing that brings anxiety to Mineta is what exactly is on Momo's mind. Would she regret doing it with him after all is said is done? Does she want something more? Is she looking for something casual? After so many porn videos there's a lot of ways this talk could go. Things could go either really well or really bad depending on the talk.
Mineta gulped. 'Well there's no time like the present. I'm about to have my first morning after talk, with Momo of all people.'
The purple headed hero fidgeted nervously, scanning the environment for a way out in case Momo ended up regretting what happened last night, thus wanting to kick his ass.
"Last night…was…well, I…" Momo stuttered shifting on her legs as she played with her hands, her fingertips somewhat nervously poking each other as she blushed.
"I…know you love me, Mineta. Or at least that you feel for me." Momo whispered.
Mineta gasped his eyes wide in shock at Momo knowing his deep secret.
"W-what do you mean?" Mineta sweated.
"Yesterday, when you were sent to Nezu's office, I came over to check on you and see if I could mitigate your punishment. Past aside, I didn't want you to lose out on your dream of becoming a hero, the same as all of us." Moko explained.
Mineta's eyes softened, in fact his heart hammered. Momo was willing to forgive him for yesterday, even after how he made her feel.
'Momo, if there was anyone I ever deserved mercy from, it was definitely not you. You're too good to me.' The half pint hero thought to himself.
"I heard how you thought of me, and your conviction to become a better hero in your own words." Momo seems more engrossed in the speech, each word coming out more clearly, and even a bit of an upturn of her lips was prevalent. It was as if she was proud.
"You seemed so happy when you said you would become better. So sure of yourself. And after…*Momo blushes* last night…I must say…"
Momo smiles a beaming smile with her eyes heavily conveying what Mineta can surmise as a supportive, empathetic gaze.
"I don't know how I myself feel about this yet. I would like some time before I can give you an answer to your confession." Momo said.
Mineta sulked. He practically deflated like a balloon after all that buildup.
"I know what happened last night was something we both wanted, but I also want you to think about your feelings for me as well before I make my decision. I want you to be sure that you know your heart inside and out."
Mineta's eyes had a longing look on his face.
"Because…should I agree…I want you to be serious…about yourself…about…me." Momo blushed as she spoke. It was hard to say what was on her mind.
Mineta felt two different and conflicting emotions.
The first was sadness. Though he did hold feelings for Momo, she herself had never held these feelings for him in turn since beginning in U.A. When you consider their past, as well as Mineta's treatment of the girls, how could she reciprocate during that time. Even with last night in consideration, would that really be enough to solidify a standing connection. Realistically, it is a transition in itself to love someone, imagine loving someone whom you once despised. That's a tall order, even for one as forgiving and welcoming as Momo.
Mineta after so many rejections since the moment he was interested in girls knew that an unsure answer is almost akin to a rejection as it was certainly not a yes. Every person who adores another never wants to hear a no, and a maybe may as well be one. It sounds very black and white, but like Momo explained, one should at least be sure about their own feelings before jumping into something as complex and even demanding as a relationship…
Wait a minute, Momo was contemplating a relationship!
The second feeling was happiness. After everything that had occurred between the two, the last thing that the small hero would ever expect was that Momo Yaoyorozu, the most beautiful girl he had ever met to date in both mind and body, would actually consider his feelings for her. Based on Momo's expression, one of a warm longing and even transfixed with her pupils practically oozing with affection, he could tell she wasn't stringing him along. Momo was seriously considering taking him on his feelings.
All Mineta had to do was wait. The waiting could be a while considering they are training as superheroes with busy schedules like work study, internships, field training and the occasional brawl with villains, but he can't rush this. Mineta wanted to change and become better, and in this situation he would have to respect her stand on this matter.
Mineta's heart ached but he steeled himself.
"In the meantime, we should go to class and keep training to become heroes. You are still serious about that at least aren't you?" The creator inquired.
"Of course I became a hero to…oh…" Mineta realized something. His whole dream to become a hero…was over increasing his chances with women.
Though it sounds shallow one must consider the circumstances. For years Mineta has been rejected. Rejection on its own is not a problem, however when one is consistently rejected without any real obvious factor (to the one being rejected) the need for an answer becomes like an obsession.
For one such as Mineta, who was of shorter stature compared to many of his peers, this meant he would be rejected for things such as his height or physical appearance. In his own obsession of proving himself as a man, Mineta's desperation fueled more rejections, leading him to come to U.A as he believed him becoming a hero, the best of the best would skyrocket his chances. What he had yet to realize till now was that having a title or job is nice and all, but a lacking personality or donning a desperately forceful demeanor is a natural setup for disaster with those he may be interested in.
The thing is, Momo has yet to reject him. She's actually considering something potentially real with him. If that is the case, then his whole motivation of being a hero would be extinguished. If that were to happen, what would be left of Mineta's journey to become a hero.
What would be his purpose?
Mineta felt cold. He realized that his original goal of becoming a hero was simply not enough to sustain himself. Though he likes girls and wants girls to like him, simply having them like him was not enough to keep his drive maintained, to keep his fire of life alive.
He needed more for himself!
He needed to find his own value. One not based on only a woman's affections.
No wonder Momo was asking him to self reflect. She was considering his goal. Not like he kept it a secret. She was making him ask himself these questions before making any premature choices that would conflict with his goals.
Momo isn't class representative for nothing. Her own intelligence shines even now.
"Do you see now why I am asking you to think about this Mineta?" Momo asked Mometa, carrying a notebook in front of her chest, a sympathetic smile on her beautiful face.
Mineta looked at her eyes directly. He seemed so afraid, and unsure.
"Yes. Now that I think about it, it's something I never thought about."
Momo could see the internal struggle. The look of an epiphany that practically shattered the foundation of one's already shaky existence. She didn't want Mineta to struggle in such a way, but to enable him to grow, he must remove the blinds in his life.
Momo nodded. "It's okay to be scared. I'm…I'm scared too. But I guess that's the thing about bravery, you can't be brave unless you are afraid."
Mineta remembered. That was the very first lesson they learned during Heroics 101 class.
Mineta felt a little better with the way she said that. It was true after all. It makes him wonder if any of the teachers felt the same way. Maybe he should ask them for advice on the motivations of a hero.
"You're so smart Momo. That's why your class rep! *chuckles*" Mineta said.
Momo smiled. "Hey, you're smart too. That's why I know you'll figure it out. I believe in you."
Momo leaned down towards Mineta. She placed a kiss on his left cheek.
"When you're ready to talk, I'll be waiting. I'll have an answer for you then too, so I have to think on things as well. If you ever just need to talk, as your representative, and as your friend I have your back. Is that okay?" Momo asked.
Mineta nodded. His face was red. He held her hand and squeezed it. A little confirmation of their agreement. They are not in any relationship, but when they next speak, they will at least have an answer, one unburdened by guilt, regret or any other pressure. This was a deal set, built and signed between two.
--U.A Academy: Mineta dorm room--
Mineta had unfortunately forgotten that today was field day, where the students of class 1A would head outside and practice their quirks through sparring or on-field simulations. Such drills were very extensive and eye opening and Mineta simply isn't one to pass this up. The class will head out in the afternoon after they brush up on certain foundational hero reviews such as history of legendary heroes, critical thinking within a fast paced high risk environment and practice for regulating a hero's code in conjunction with the law.
Such concepts may sound like busy work, but knowing this stuff could really protect someone from straying as a hero as well as preventing one from facing legal troubles as a result of a potentially ill thought out solution to a problem when on a job.
Mineta looked around his room, filled to the brim with tons of sensual figures, cosplayers and a wide assortment of hentai themed manga on his shelf.
Mineta sweatdropped, his room was a constant reminder of what he had to work on.
He then began doing a little extra tidying up. He removed the tape off the more excruciatingly perverted pictures and hentai and put them in a drawer where he had room. As for the other more tame still sexy cosplayers and idols he kept in their respective place and moved the rest of his hentai manga to the bottom shelf behind some shounen, replacing the top shelf with manga of other genres. The whole point was that should anyone come to his room, he wants his room to at least be presentable in a social setting.
The other thing he did was notice himself in the mirror. He had donned his costume in his attempt to see himself in the mirror, taking a glance at himself in a more critical way.
He looked at himself and noticed several bits of improvement. He smiled a big grin showing his admittingly clean teeth. As soon as this thoughts went to last night he saw his expression and realized another fatal flaw. His own expression made his skin crawl. Yet another thing that he needs to work on. He sighed.
A/n: (Look at MHA Season 3 Episode 14 Mineta's dorm scene to see the expression).
'Now that I look at it, this bit is a definite no no!' He grabbed the hem of his bowl diaper-like utility belt. It was meant to simply carry excess spheres so that he could use them in combat from a variety of different angles. The problem was that it looked like a diaper. It just screamed immature. Now that he also thought of it, the thing does have a nasty habit of holding him down and weighing his movements. He removed it from his person. For now he would have to cope with less spheres available in exchange for his natural agility.
The other thing was his yellow gloves. Seeing them up close, he realized that they were way too big for his hands, causing mean baggy-like distortions in his hands. Being that he needed to throw spheres the last thing he would want are for the flaps to get stuck in something other than his spheres. The other problem is that the bagginess of the gloves prevented them from properly cushioning his hands from impact damage and could be easily torn if someone grabbed a fistful of the latex like material.
He pulled the gloves off and switched them with a smaller pair his mother sent him as a gift when he first made the costume. He thought they looked lame when he first saw them but now that they were on, they actually had fit more appropriately and even came fitted with bicycle glove like padding for his fists. They felt tighter, but they provided real impact cushioning and were actually meant for grabbing with how solid the fingertips were. They were the same color as his old ones as well, so that was a good thing.
The last thing he decided to put on were some knee and elbow protectors. These were included with the gloves, however he couldn't put them on before with his utility belt.
He looked at himself and smiled again. Seeing himself now, he looked better, more like a hero of short stature as opposed to an infantile one.
He looked at the time and realized he was already a minute late.
"CRAP I GOT SO DISTRACTED I'M LATE!" Mineta immediately ran outside, desperately trying to shorten the amount of time he was late to class. Aizawa wasn't necessarily that much caring to being a little late at homeroom but Mineta did not want to miss any of the other important announcements. When you take into consideration that he was already in the red in terms of his stay at the academy, Mineta knew not to tick off the professors any more than he had already.
Only one problem, the Department of Heroes entrance was closed. As a result, Mineta had to traverse through the Department of General Education in order to get into his class as that entrance was still open.
U.A Academy consisted of four departments. The Hero, the General Education, the Support and Management departments. This totaled to 33 classes of students that made the entire student body. General Education is the department one gets sent off to when they don't make it to class 1A and 1B.
--Department of Gen Ed Hallway--
Mineta was running, his breath haphazard as he had to run all around the Hero Department building in order to get to Gen Ed. He was almost to the bridge where he would be able to reach his classroom, albeit late.
"Cmon Mineta! You're almost there. Never thought I would have to cross these halls ever in my life. Considering my placement, I don't think I ever had a reason to come here, now that I think about it."
Mineta said aloud to himself, gasping for breath in his stride as fatigue kicked in.
He reached the bridge leading to the department of heroes.
"Yes! Just gotta cross over and I'm home fr–"
"HALT!" A loud booming voice echoed throughout the hallway, causing Mineta to slip and fall on his face.
Mineta heard heeled boots clicking against the shiny marble like floor of the hallway.
Mineta took a look at the intrusive voice. He didn't recognize it. After all he was a part of the Department of Heroes, there was no way that he would be here in any way shape or form as there was simply no reason to until now of course.
The boots were shiny ankle length boots that effortlessly depicted the shapely ankles of the one who wore them. As Mineta looked upwards he realized that the boots were connected to a pair of alabaster thighs. His eyes then caught a glimpse of a pair of black shorts that reached halfway to her thighs. The person in question wore a very tight burgundy collared shirt that made two ginormous globes pop out from underneath. The shirt had a slit which revealed cleavage though one could argue the mounds this person possessed strained against the uniform. The person, who was clearly a woman, had her pale arms holding her hips. She was currently staring at Mineta with a no nonsense gleam in her eye, as they were furrowed in strict discipline.
The girl bore intense aqua eyes, which with mascara and a faint eyeliner made her eyes seem razor sharp in their glare. She also possessed what could only be described as a police looking hat, though its color was burgundy like her shirt and served to overshadow her forehead with its black visor. Underneath the hat was a long black ponytail reaching behind her knees. The hair beneath the tie of the ponytail was flowing due to an invisible wind almost like a cape, swaying as the girl in front of Mineta stared him down.
"You know it's against the rules to be out and about at this time." The strange girl said.
Mineta looked at a nearby clock. Turns out his watch was a bit off. He was not late. In fact he would be late in 3, 2, 1
TOCK
The clock seemed to echo loudly the very second that Mineta was technically late.
The girls already strict aqua eyes opened wider, her cold irises deeply focused with an extremely tiny iris narrowed in dislike in Mineta's direction.
Mineta sweatdropped as he could feel the red hot intensity of rage emanating from the psycho girl in front of him. He didn't know who she was, but he did know that she was unhinged.
"You know the rules as well as anyone, parade around without a care is a sure fire method of finding yourself…"
Mineta felt his spine shiver.
"STRAIGHT BENEATH MY HEEL!!" The girl bellowed.
Mineta sweatdropped as he felt an aura of ensured death emanate from the woman in front of him.
