5 years after arriving on remnant...
Blake after her rather "unfortunate" entry on remnant had spent years in intense therapy to help her deal with her trauma, at not only fighting in the siege of terra but her beige stint with cannibalism...
She wouldn't dare speak for the 1st year that she was with the Belladonna's, it had affected her so badly and took some of the best therapy an upper middle class Faunus family could afford in menagerie to get Blake to speak to them.
After some time, she spoke and swore only to eat fish as her meat of choice with VERY few exceptions. One of the saving graces of being on this world was that she could walk around in public with her ears out at long last, mostly without problems, but due to her own experience on Nostramo and being the child of Konrad Curze had led her to become nigh obsessed with the rights of the Faunus and hoped she could replicate what she and her farther did with Nostramo.
But she wasn't Konrad and this wasn't Nostramo... things proved to be a lot more difficult than expected on this world to fix, the Grimm for a start were a huge problem and never mind the long history of racism and petty conflicts and wars that washed over this world like a blanket.
She swore only if her legion found her or things were truly dire would she bring her power armour to bear in combat again. She had placed a rather large target on her back due to how vocal as she is about the Faunus equality which had her being visited by a few "unsavoury" characters form different factions but the white fang in particular were persistent in their efforts in bringing her in to their fold.
Just before departing for a camping/hunting trip one day she saw on TV something she did not expect to see... On the hair and beauty channel, bright as day stood Yang... In all her angelic glory wings and all doing a modelling job for a company showing off some jackets for Faunus and humans alike... She knew there was a supposed Angel Faunus on the planet it she NEVER expected it to be one true and second? it being Yang of all people...
she nearly breaks down just seeing her falling back onto the couch and trying to hide her ears with her hands as if she could see them being her head into her high collared dark blue and lightning bolt marked leather jacket "Yang..." She whispers out as Kali walks in and sees the tv and her adoptive daughter and ask " what's wrong Blake? " She sits beside her as Blake weakly replies "remember when I said I'm not the only one like me? That young woman there is also one of what I am... we were a thing..."
Kali trying to reassure her says "well she's a sight to see I'll say that, you have a good pair of eyes at least, come on Blake let's take your mind of it for now, we can talk about it later at least."
Blake chuckles a bit saying "you should see her in her armour"
A few hours later...
It's late at night in the warm jungles of Menagerie and the Belladonna family have set up camp and are sat around a camp fire sharing some fried fish Blake had spear fished for them "this is wonderful Blake; you certainly have a good eye for quality" Ghira says whilst whipping his fingers clean of grease as Kali is already in her second fish with Blake saying "thank you dad... I grew up in a super dense city, we have no rivers where I'm form, I'm glad I picked up some new skills is all"
The family are happy to be sharing time with one another as they feast and talk well into the night, Blake decides to turn in for the night and climbs into her own tent to sleep and pops a few pills to make dam sure she slept, as for a few years now she's been getting visions much like Konrad did and admittedly we're mild but she knew how bad they can be and didn't want to have any of them.
During the night she's awoken by a familiar sound and jumps out of her tent and once outside she sees a Tartarus terminator of her legion... one of her own Judicarii complete with a squad of 5 of her Feladine hunters in legion recon armour holding her adoptive parents still and once they see Blake they kneel and release them saying "our lady and Primarch"
kali and Ghira immediately run to Blake saying "who the hell are the guys?"
Blake just as shocked says "Night Lords... my astartes... the ones I told you about." they both look at her, as the legion praetor in terminator armour takes a few steps closer and kneels again removing his helmet "my lady, it warms me to finally meet you in person"
Blake immediately in fluent Nostraman accent says this "how are you hear; how many are of you are here and who sent you"
The praetor answers "145 brothers of your company my lady, Lord commander Sevatar has sent us to search for you, our fleet is scattered among the stars and our engines, Astropaths, are all dead or severely damaged form the journey and our strike cruiser is not but a floating space station."
Blake looks at her adoptive parents then back at her legionaries and sighs "I have orders for you, and listen well for I do not want to repeat it"
Two years later...
Menagerie had experienced an unprecedented level of peace and quiet in both crime and Grimm attacks, with the help of her legionaries, she met and joined with Adam Taurus and the White Fang finally seeing her chance to make a difference and for a time it did...
But after a while Adam had become very manipulative of her and kept pushing to truly embrace the factions' goals which had lit the fires of doubt within her and very quickly by her successes were becoming curses.
The racism especially in mistral and Atlas was getting worse as fear against Faunus was only heightened and security was getting tighter and tighter with menagerie becoming overrun with criminals of all sorts and due to Blake not wanting to become a tyrant or unleash the full extent of what just 145 of her astartes can do it just ordered to do.
What broke the camel's back was the raid on a train carrying a huge dust load heading to Atlas...
One of her Feladine hunter assault troopers had intervened directly with the obsessive compulsion to protect their Primarch especially since her gene seed speaks within the legionary in question. Said astartes was on a solo patrol through that area, using his jump pack to avoid Grimm at all costs whilst solo due to how dangerous they were proving to fight, as multiple bolt shells were needed to put the unarmoured ones down.
Adam had been spared the honour of coming face to face with one of Blake's special "friends" for a while but as he was locked fighting an Atlan paladin, he saw the dark blue and lightning decorated giant come slamming down onto the train and going straight through the roof of one of the carts wielding a chain Glave and bolter pistol of the photos pattern.
Blake's mid-way through a squad of Atlan androids when suddenly she has to shadow step out of the way to avoid taking a bolt shell fragment as a result of a detonation.
Looking up as she rolls to her feet, she sees one of her Feladine hunters looking at her as very quickly he's becoming the target for the android's dust rounds and energy bolts cutting deep into his armour and even drawing blood as the armour is not built to withstand the sheer umph dust can deliver on target.
The night lord uses his vox grill to let out howls of anger as her shouts "no abominable intelligence shall harm me!" Thrusting his sword into an android, the teeth full and shred through the thin armour sending sparks everywhere and sending chunks of armour splattering across the floor.
Blake is screaming on the inside as she hopes to high hell that these androids aren't live broadcasting back to the Atlas military...
However, tragedy strikes when the paladin about turns and targets the astartes with a dust beam cannon melting a huge whole straight through his chest and where his hearts would be causing the Astartes to topple over dead in seconds with aloud heavy "thunk" with Adam finally catching up after killing the mech.
Blake screams as she runs over to the fallen legionary as his power pack whines and sputters as part of it is still operational but the astartes inside of it is dead holding the limp warrior in her arms. dropping the psychic charm Magnus had given her all those years ago, using her full strength to do so as Adam comments "so this is one of your special friends, is it? Why haven't you committed more of them? Surely, we can do a lot more for our people..." He's suddenly thrown back by a direct bolt shell strike on his aura as Blake has lost her mind with grief and shot him.
As Adam recovers peeling himself away from a dented wall, he sees Blake shot the train car connection point with the bolter pistol and she stares at him as the two drift away with Blake calling in a thunder hawk to recover the dead astartes.
since that day Blake cut all ties with the white fang and has ordered her night lords to attack on sight if possible and deliver them to the authorities which has caused her to relapse into her depression and has since ordered them to only attack Grimm hordes with extreme caution. Of course, legends spread of blue armoured giants coming to peoples aid and of course got the attention of a certain bird...
One day while she sat oh inside in her family's home, she finds her calm quite disturbed by a knock at the door, getting up Kali answers the door and she's surprised to see professor Ozpin and Qrow Branwen stood there and once Blake sees Qrow her heart sinks in her chest.
Ozpin is the one who speaks 1st "greetings miss Belladonna, I trust your having a nice day?"
Kali answers him "it's going, ok what's the matter with the visit, you're a professor of a Hunter academy, you don't make house visits especially this far away"
She steps aside and allows them both in with Qrow casting a noise cancelling charm on the house with a wave of his hand and he speaks "were here to speak with your daughter, were offering a free scholarship and we know who she is"
This had Kali looking at Blake who says "he's right, this mom is Qrow, he's like me, you don't have to listen to this..." Kali raises a hand and says "I'll stay here, I'm still your guardian "
With everyone sat down and with some form of drink in their hands Ozpin starts to talk "I have no doubt Blake has informed you what she is? What she represents?" Kali nods and he continues
" 8 years ago, Mr Qrow here was the 1st of his kind to land on our world and I found him and since he's enlightened me as to the goings on of things, I as well as the other men and women who protect this world have been searching for more of those like you, and we help keep them hidden and educate them and offer them a chance to grow up and still be able to harness their abilities. what I offer your daughter is to come to beacon academy, to be trained and raised as a huntress and let her he around fellows once more. "
Kali looks at Blake and says "how many of these "royals" are on this world? " Qrow answers "myself, and 3 others including Blake here, some are better at hiding than others, when I heard that dark blue armoured giants were saving people and striking at Grimm in the dead of night, I knew it was either Ultramarines or Night Lord's, speaking of how many of Nostramo's finest are on this world"
"144 astartes, one perished, and their trapped here there strike cruiser is too badly damaged to be effective beyond an orbital station but they have drop pods and thunder hawks and A Kratos heavy tank, they will only act on my orders"
Ozpin raises a i inquisitive eye as Qrow says "that's a fairly sizeable group... Blake if you take our offer, you can train your psychic powers, use you power armour and peace together what the hell happened, if you refuse, you can live your life as you see fit, just be aware that if your found or something goes really wrong people won't be as understanding as we are."
Blake takes a few minutes before reluctantly accepting "I'll do it...please Ozpin and mom can you to outside? I have news for Qrow, family matters..."
Looking at his lover Qrow nods for Qrow and Kali to leave which they do and after a few tense moments Blake speaks "I know Yang is on world, I've seen the commercial, I'm not sure if she knows this... but Sanguinius is dead... so is Konrad... both died fighting Horus, the imperium went into a civil war... it was horrifying.. I was only there for the last few hours of the siege of terra... I don't know what happened to the rest ..."
Qrow goes wide eyes at hearing this and leans forwards with a heavy heart saying "Yang is going to be devastated... so will Morticia or Ruby.. she loved Sanguinius as an uncle...Mortarion is dead and is buried in this world... so 3 uncles are confirmed dead..." Blake are " Yang's company was wiped out to a man except for reserves on Baal... i had the honours of fighting with the last of her sanguinary guard... "
The old Qrow replies "oh no... look we'll go over all of this when you arrive at beacon when it's age appropriate for you to do so, it's a part of Ozpin's plan to help you guys stay hidden. Before I go, do you know if anyone else is here? Even a suspicion?"
Blake chokes down a sob "Wenoa who is under the alias of Weiss Schnee is in Atlas... or at least I think it's her apart from that I've got nothing"
Qrow nods and gets up to leave saying "Yang and you were really close, I can let her know your here but I know your self conscious about your ears and what happened to you but, only if you say so will I tell her " he offers to her and Blake fearing Yang won't accept her especially with what she's done says "don't..I'm not ready... It was horrible Qrow. you should go, I'll see you when we next meet"
