A/n: Heya readers, PsychoJack here with number five in line of the story of Mineta the Mayhem. Really appreciate the feedback so far, much love to you guys. Imma bring a shout out to Knightwalker405 who pointed out an issue in terms of chronology when I first released chapter 4, and I thank him for the heads up before I unintentionally wrecked the whole MHA space time continuum. Mineta has proven himself of his rank as well as a hero in practice when he went toe to toe with Hall Monika. What will happen next, well take a read and find out!

--U.A: Department of Gen Ed - Hallway--

Mineta currently stood at the top of the hallway where he had fought against Hall Monika. Where there was once a well designed piece of modern architecture now laid a big gaping chasm of which any unsuspecting student or staff could fall into. Due to the sheer amount of damage done to the floor, there was simply no way that Mineta could actually hide it.

What he intended to do however was simply lighten the load of whatever damage was done, a means of enabling the school board to be able to push repairs quickly.

Utilizing his spheres, Mineta, using his own intelligence as well as skills necessary in any jigsaw puzzle, did the gruesome work of laying out all the notable pieces of the floor that had collapsed during the whole battle. One after another aligned on the bottom floor as he couldn't physically pluck them up a flight of stairs. Surprisingly, much of the floor had split into very obviously laid out cement pieces, much akin to a jigsaw puzzle, thus making the work easier for Mineta's plan.

Remembering from his carnal tryst with both Momo and Hall Monika, he could definitely confirm that his spheres have been acting strangely. For starters, not once ever in the young boys' life has he ever recalled his spheres popping. Not from any amount of abuse or pulls or strain have they ever popped. They always remained perfectly symmetrical no matter what you did to it. Punch it, kick it, stab it, nothing would pierce them, only get stuck to them.

For Mineta, this alone meant that his quirk had changed in some way. Though he already knew of its sticky nature and has used it for many diverse situations including climbing walls or making a makeshift sticky lasso, it would seem that ever since his night with Momo, his quirk is undergoing some form of alteration.

'Does that mean that I will no longer be able to fight like I usually do? What do I do if it changes too much? I'll be a liability!' Mineta thought to himself.

The problem that this particular issue brings is that if his quirk continues changing, what if it overshadows or undoes his quirks' original state. This would mean he would have to start over at understanding his quirk. He would have to undergo more solo and team training as his input in a team setting would have rendered old class formations obsolete, thereby reducing class 1A's effectiveness.

The other problem that the grape themed crusader had to contemplate on was the possibility that he may not be able to control the new sudden changes of his quirk, making him a potential danger to himself and others in vital moments as a hero. How can he save or protect others if he can't even fully control his own quirk?

This plan Mineta conjured was not only to potentially reduce the damage done to the school hallway and reduce Hall Monika's punishment, but as a means of testing his control over the new shifts of his quirk.

Could he control these changes at will? This is a question he needed to have an answer for.

Mineta gulped. He sweated as he pulled three of his spheres from his head and held one purple orb in front of him using his left hand.

Hall Monika was below the hole, now redressed in her original burgundy hall monitor outfit, now tattered from the battle that occurred earlier. She was squinting her eyes to see what Mineta was doing. He had told her to remain at the bottom for some reason, and wait for his signal.

Hall Monika was shifting from one booted leg to another in nervousness. If any of the professors or staff came and saw the damage it would be her head as well as Mineta's especially given how they both had fought within school campus grounds.

"Mineta what are you going to do? I really don't want to stay here long. Especially without a pass!" The girl called. True to her dutiful nature, she adhered to her hall monitor code of conduct.

Mineta chuckles "You're the hall monitor, I don't think you need a pass!", causing Hall Monika to pout at what she surmised was him laughing at an inside joke she was not privy to.

Mineta focused on the spheres which remained gelatinous but still spherical.

'It's already happened twice now. They would pop and then spread some sticky slime everywhere! Why can't I do it now?' Mineta narrowed his eyes in analysis.

Mineta then came to an epiphany.

'Both times they popped was when I was making the beast with two backs right! If that's the case…'

Mineta closed his eyes, focusing on remembering every tantalizing touch, smell, taste and visual of his time with both Momo and Hall Monika. The feeling he possessed both times from every kiss, caress, and embrace that was given in droves in both circumstances.

He blushed. His eyes widened in perversion at the recollection.

The ball still remained the same.

He shook off his expression. He began mentally retracing his steps in both experiences.

'Let's see…with Momo I wanted to get close, I wanted to hold her, and I didn't want to let go-'

POP POP POP

SPLASH

Mineta's eyes widened. Noticing how the three spheres on hand had popped at his thought process.

'With Monika, I was so turned on I wanted to get her clothes off-'

SFX: SIZZLE

The puddle of slime began bubbling almost like it was melting!

'Oh hell no! Stop melting!' Mineta desperately thought in panic.

The bubbling stopped.

Mineta looked on in shock. His quirk had changed, though not like how he expected.

As opposed to before, when his spheres came off, they only possessed one purpose, to throw and stick. However, with this new strange "upgrade" it seems that he can command it in some way when he focuses intensely on it.

"Melt…" Mineta mumbled.

Nothing happened. In fact, the slime remained cool.

'I can't do it by saying it, I have to directly command it mentally.' Mineta concluded.

He turned around away from the slime as he thought he heard footsteps. He continued with his mental experiment.

'Melt…' Mineta thought hard to himself.

Mineta didn't hear the slime melt or bubble in heat.

He turned back towards the slime to see what was wrong.

'Melt…' Mineta thought again. He focused all his attention on the puddle of jam like residue. His eyes were sharp in his focus, enabling an outsider to witness faint red cracks on his eyes in the strain he placed in his focus.

'Melt dammit!' The boy focused hard, straining his eyes further.

The slime began bubbling before Mineta thought hard to stop it before another hole in the floor was made.

'I need to maintain eye contact to control my spheres from a distance!' Mineta concluded.

This change was quite dramatic, and it actually seems to be quite the upgrade. Mineta can control his spheres to an extent, though exactly how much more he could do was up for later experimentation. Mineta was amazed at the possibilities this little detail brings in combat.

Mineta checked the time. He was severely late, but now that he knew he could actually somewhat control his newfound quirk upgrade, he was ready to try his plan.

'I sure hope this works, otherwise Monika's gonna be expelled or in a cell. I gotta try to make it up to her for what my actions did to her!'

Mineta gulped.

He held an orb in each hand and thought hard.

The orbs shook and began popping. Mineta however made sure to keep a firm grasp of some of the jelly in each hand. This enabled the slime to be stuck to his hand.

The slime went downward towards the teachers lounge. Surprisingly there was a lot of volume from each sphere in terms of the slime oozing downward.

Hall Monika was looking on in curiosity.

'What is Mineta doing? What's with the weird slime anyway?'

The purple slime dropped from Mineta's hand and slowly but surely reached to the bottom, landing on top of one of the many aligned concrete pieces laid out before Monika. As the slime slowly spread, Mineta refocused and right in front of him, the slime stopped dropping. It was still in slime form, however it ceased spreading to the point of spillage all over the lounge.

"It works!" Mineta said with a look of disbelief.

He repeated with a joyous prideful grin.

"It works! Yes!" Mineta then looked towards Monika.

"Monika, I need you to gently blow the cement block upwards. I can't lift it up by myself."

Monika then went under the lifted cement block and pulled her number 1 whistle. As she blew gently, the shockwave lifted the block upwards in a steady motion, whilst Mineta continuously pulled the jam to get more grip and steady control of the block. Since it was no longer melting it was like a really sticky rope.

By the time the cement block reached Mineta's position, Monika's face was red in exhaustion from a lack of oxygen to blow her whistle. Mineta already had the block in place and, using the leftover slime, literally glued it against the rim of the hole perfectly using his own intelligence and naturally steady aim.

Monika was gasping for breath, but upon witnessing the result, she finally saw what Mineta was going for. He was literally reconstructing the damage.

"Mineta! You're a genius!" Monika said with pride in her fellow student. Though she was worried at first, Mineta had made a pretty well thought out team plan. She would lift the blocks from the bottom, while he would stick them together from the top.

It worked like a charm, albeit in a timely manner. After about almost an hour, the floor was put together. Hall Monika went upstairs, practically dragging her heels from the lack of oxygen in her lungs. She was sweating as her throat felt dry and strained from overuse of her quirk.

Mineta was on the now restructured floor. His arms were killing him with the weight he lifted whilst resticking each block.

Monika fell right next to him, both exhausted from the straining reconstruction of the once destroyed floor.

What surprised Mineta as much as Monika was that at first, the floor was a little jagged and imperfect, however as time went on, the slime seemed to restructure its own self, rendering the floor not only perfectly aligned but the floor now bore smooth grafted purple web like lines, as if it were a decoration as opposed to the messily improvised glue that it was.

"Hey…you okay Monika?" Mineta gasped out, sweating as much as his scalp bled from the overuse of his own quirk.

Monika looked into his dark purple eyes with her blue ones. Her hat dangled loosely on the top of her head.

"My lungs feel like they're on fire, but…I'm okay…I feel…so much better. Thank you Mineta, for stopping me!" She smiled a warm smile, eyes closed.

Mineta returned her smile with his own.

"Don't thank me. We did it together. I just improvised that plan, I can't believe it actually worked!"

Footsteps could be heard on Mineta's right. The resting duo looked in the direction of the footsteps.

It was Nezu. He was currently walking in the hallway along with Cementoss. The principal was currently walking with a coffee mug in one hand, clearly enjoying a cup of the caffeine infused beverage. Cementoss' being here made Mineta and Monika sweat as at the moment his tall stature was the last thing they would expect to see given their vulnerable position.

"Oh my, you two look worse for wear. Considering the time, it would seem you two are late for class." The white rodent said as he took a quick swill of his mug. His smile was in place.

Cementoss looked like he was about to say something but grew silent, clearly following his superior's lead. Mineta noticed Cementoss looking at the purple crack-like decorations made by his slime that had glued the floor together, his eyes seemed analytical, gazing to and fro.

Mineta felt his stomach drop. This was it, looks like they'll be brought in.

"Cementoss, what do you think?" Nezu asked, his eyes on Mineta specifically who could only gulp.

"Well, to be honest it could do with a little more attention to detail, but…" The walking block stomped on the ground hard multiple times.

Mineta was afraid of the floor collapsing from each stomp.

It didn't. Not a fracture out of place.

"It looks like it's stable, surprisingly more reinforced than I would have predicted. More than that I would say all it needs is a little insurance."

The cement based hero places his hands over the cracks, his quirk causing the cement to reseal over the now hardened purple slime.

Just like that, the damage that was once there was no more. As if it never happened in the first place.

Nezu's smile was jovial.

"Well that's wonderful news. Mineta, Monika, care to join me for lunch. I know that today was sparring day, however I'm sure Aizawa would not mind once I explain the situation."

Nezu looked towards Cementoss. The walking cement block nodded and left, his job here was over.

Mineta was even more scared. Nezu clearly has a clue as to what happened. Based on an earlier exercise where Mineta witnessed the intelligent being in action, he knew more than anyone of the sharp mind beneath that humorous exterior. What would Nezu do now?

Nezu reached behind him as if grabbing something. The exhausted duo flinched from what they thought was a physical punishment.

He whipped out a bag filled with sandwiches. They were wrapped with a Nezu themed packaging.

"Care to join me for lunch?" The seemingly friendly ferret asked.

Mineta and Monika fainted as the anticipation was more effective a punishment than the punishment itself.

--U.A: Nezu's Office--

Mineta and Monika both sat in front of the esteemed educator. Mineta has been through this before, but even so he still felt anxiety. Even the taste of those delicious sandwiches could not fully deflate his already heightened state of paranoia. As for Monika…

The poor hall monitor was already twitching in fear, much like he was when he was brought here yesterday.

'It's only been one day and I'm already back in this office! At this rate I'm bound to get expelled!' Mineta gulped as he looked in Nezu's direction.

Unlike before where he sat stiffly analyzing him, Nezu was busy eating his fair share of food. Mineta didn't know this before but Nezu was quite a glutton considering the many sandwich wrappers there were as he ate. He still possessed refinement as he ate using utensils, but one couldn't help but notice the overwhelming happy look in his eye as he savored each bite, along with happy squeak-like noises that emanated from his throat.

'He's like a mouse!' Mineta noticed, his anxiety taking a backseat for the moment.

Nezu wiped his hands and his mouth of any stray crumbs. He then focused on his students.

"I hope you enjoyed your lunches. There's more if you want!" Nezu invited the students.

Both students shook their heads as they were already full.

"Very well, I suppose you already know why I brought you two here." Nezu said.

They both nodded. Monika shaking in her boots and holding her hands tight to stop shaking.

"By now it goes without saying that there are cameras and monitors within academy grounds. It's mostly to ensure the safety of our students. However the truth is…"

Mineta finally looked at Nezu directly. He didn't see it before as he was too scared to look him in the eye.

Nezu's ears were swollen. They were red and pulsing in agitation. A stray teardrop left Nezu's scarred eye as he continued to speak as nonchalantly as he could. He literally looked more like a mouse with those swollen reddened ears of his.

"The reason I knew wasn't because of the cameras, it was because I heard every blow of Monika's whistle." Nezu stated matter of factly.

Monika cringed, she's doomed.

"When I checked the cameras, I saw what happened. It was…unfortunate what happened…" Nezu said with a bit of sadness.

Monika's eyes watered.

Mineta stepped in. "Wait! Principal, it's my fault!"

Nezu met Mineta's eyes with his own.

Mineta continued. "I was late for class, Monika was just doing her job but I…I resisted-"

Monika stood up. "No! It was my fault! I didn't want to listen, I overstepped the limits of a hall monitor! Mineta was trying to protect the school, but I wouldn't listen! He had to stop me!"

Nezu sweatdropped as the two quarreling students tried to cover for one another.

"That's enough you two! I haven't finished." Nezu interfered.

The two sat back down deflated. Resigned to their fate.

"Yes, you two did fight. Mineta, you were late to class, Monika, you did overstep your given authority. Regardless, after all was said and done, you two despite your conflict, made an effort to initiate the necessary repairs to the damage you two had done to the hallway. You both used teamwork in the attempt to rectify your mistake, albeit at risk of further truancy."

Nezu analyzed.

The two seemed ashamed.

"In this case, the safety of your fellow classmates was what took priority over your own attendance and personal conflict. Cementoss already fixed whatever was left over. No harm was done to students, and you both seemed to overcome your differences in such a short time." Nezu smiled in his deduction of the situation.

Mineta's heart pounded in his ears. Monika's already watered eyes blinked, releasing tears in her own fear.

Nezu closed his eyes. "There's no need to expel either of you. Instead you'll undergo further repair work with Cementoss afterschool to make up for the fighting. There was damage, but you fixed it, and even went so far as to protect one another when confronted with the possibility of punishment. I'd say that was courageous of you two."

Mineta and Monika looked at Nezu with shaking pupils. They didn't think he would let them go so easily.

"Heroics 101, 'One cannot be brave if one isn't afraid. One cannot redeem if he refuses to see.' I believe that was the very first lecture in the curriculum, yes? And you both saw clearly! Now is anyone else feeling hungry?" Nezu looked upon them with something akin to pride in his students' understanding of the lesson in action.

The students wiped stray tears from their face at the mercy and warmth of their mentor and the words he spoke to them.

"If not, then you're both free to go." Nezu informed them.

Monika had left afterwards, leaving the two in the room alone.

Mineta felt like the wise mascot had something to say. Mineta looked downwards in shame.

"Mineta, you did a plus ultra job! Keep up the good work!" Nezu said with eyes closed in a smile.

Mineta felt his heart soar. He nodded and got up, saluted his mentor before leaving himself.

Nezu took a whiff of the room. With the lack of food in the immediate area, he couldn't help but get a whiff of pheromones in the air. Those of fear and something more…passionate.

"The tides of youth, how unpredictable they are." Nezu mumbled to himself.

--U.A Academy: Outside Nezu's office--

Both students were physically and mentally exhausted from this whole ordeal. But it would seem that they got off easy. Sure they did have mandatory assistance with Cementoss to fix any stray damage they left behind, but it was all in good faith.

Mineta looked towards Monika. He was without much to say, this morning has been full of strange occurrences.

"So…uh…I guess it's off to class then..." He scratched the side of his head.

Monika took off her police hat. She tossed it into Mineta's outstretched hand.

Mineta looked at the hat in his hand. He was then surprised as she had pulled him into a deep kiss that stole his breath away. It wasn't a make out session, but a kiss of affection and appreciation. It made Mineta dizzy.

*SMOOCH*

Monika was gasping for breath. She caressed Mineta's face whilst a prominent blush was on her face. She hugged Mineta while kneeling on her knees due to his height. He hugged her back timidly, as he kinda guessed that she was thankful for earlier, especially since now that she learned her lesson, she could move on as a hero.

She whispered in his ear. Her real more feminine voice overshadowed the faux dominatrix persona she wore when they first met. "Thank you, for saving me Mineta Minoru. If you ever need me, or my help, or…"

She then blushed and spoke huskily, her dominatrix voice prominent.

"Anytime you feel lonely…then find me. Dorm Room C186."

She smooched his right cheek and giggled before standing up.

She took the hat back from Mineta, looked at it and dusted off a few stray specks of dirt off it, before placing it back on her head. Her eyes were vibrant and clear.

She began walking away, Mineta left looking at her backside which had a noticeable sway in her hips. She knew he was looking.

'Mineta! Regardless of what others may say about you. Thank you! Not just for being a hero.'

Monika looked back.

Mineta was still reeling from her invitation. A nose bleed prominent on his face.

'But for being my hero!'

Monika winked in his direction.
