Felicity stood in her apartment with Diggle. "Oliver's fine. He brought us back here because he said he wanted us to be alone. He left around a half hour ago" she said.
Diggle sighed. "Felicity you know I'd do anything for you but Oliver doesn't want a bodyguard. It's kind of hard to protect someone when they keep on running away from you" Diggle said.
Felicity nodded. "I know John and I'm sorry. Please just give him time. I'll talk to him and tell him not to leave you anymore" she said.
Diggle nodded. "OK I'll give it sometime and hopefully he accepts that he needs a bodyguard eventually" he said.
Felicity smiled at him and hugged him. "Thank you" she said.
"Of course" he said.
They broke the hug and Diggle looked at Felicity. "Are you sure about him? That island might have changed him too much from the man you once knew" he asked.
"I love him John. I can't give up on us. I didn't for five years and I'm not going to start now. No matter how he's changed I'm willing to make it work" she said.
At the Queen Mansion, Oliver walked into the house. "Oliver finally you're home. I was worried sick. I heard you and Felicity left the courthouse without Mr. Diggle" Moira said.
Oliver nodded his head. "Yea we did" he said.
"Perhaps you'd like to share with me where it is you guys ran off to" Moira said.
Oliver let out a little laugh. "I'm not 16 anymore. I don't really think I need to explain where I go with my girlfriend" he said.
"This isn't a joke Oliver. I'm serious" Moira said.
"So am I mom. I was alone for five years without any love or comfort so excuse me if I just wanted to spend an hour or two alone with the woman I love" Oliver said.
Moira looked at Oliver sadly. "I know you missed Felicity but you can't just go running off by yourselves" she said.
"I just wanted to be alone with Felicity" Oliver said giving his mother a serious look.
She nodded her head. "I see" she said.
"The next time me and Felicity decide to be alone with each other I'll give you a call and see if it's OK with you mom" Oliver said.
"No you don't have to call me when you and Felicity want to be alone. I'd rather you promise to take Mr. Diggle with you on you're guy's next rendezvous" Moira said walking up to Oliver.
Oliver shook his head. "When me and Felicity want to be alone, we're going to be alone" he said.
Moira nodded. "Just make sure you're alone with Mr. Diggle. It's not safe. You've already been abducted once. There is a maniac out there hunting the wealthy and someone already tried to kill Felicity" Moira said.
"That maniac saved mine and Felicity's lives" Oliver said.
"This isn't a game. I lost you once and I am not going through that again. Either you let Mr. Diggle do what Felicity paid him to do and protect you or I will hire someone on my own who you won't be able to run away from" Moira said.
"OK" Oliver said nodding. "Digs my guy. I'll call him in the morning and let him know I won't run away from him anymore" he said.
"Thank you" Moira said leaving the room.
Oliver went to walk upstairs but stopped when he saw Thea in a dress about to leave the house. "Where are you going" Oliver asked. Thea stopped and turned to Oliver.
"Somewhere loud and smokey and don't bother trying to pickpocket my stash this time because I'm going to get drunk instead" Thea said.
Oliver walked closer to Thea. "Thea, you think this is what dad would want for you" Oliver asked.
"Dead people don't want anything. It's one of the benefits of being dead" Thea said.
"I was dead and I wanted a lot" Oliver said.
"Except for your family. You've been home for a week and all you do is avoid mom, ignore Walter and judge me. What about Felicity" Thea asked.
Oliver gave his sister a serious look. "Thea don't" Oliver said. "
Have you even talked to her about what happened while you were gone? She never gave up on you and went through a lot and you still won't open up to her" Thea said.
"We already talked about a lot of things that quite frankly are none of your business" Oliver said angerly. He couldn't believe she was throwing the baby in his face like this.
"Yea I know. She told you about the baby. I also know that she feels even more alone than when you were gone because you're icing her out. She feels like a failure and that she's not good enough for you anymore" Thea said.
Oliver looked at his sister surprised. "She said that" Oliver asked.
Thea nodded. "I talk to Felicity every day. She's like the older sister I never had. She told me she feels like she did back when you were in high school and that you're going to leave her and there's nothing she can do about it" Thea said.
Oliver felt bad hearing all this. Is this really how Felicity felt? He never meant to make her feel like she wasn't important to him or that he would leave her. That could never happen. She's his whole world and he needs to do a better job at making her feel like that. "I didn't know" Oliver said softly.
Thea nodded. "Of course you didn't because you don't care to find out. You'd rather just keep everyone at a distance rather than letting them in" she said. Oliver just stood there processing everything his sister said to him. "Don't wait up" Thea said leaving the house. Just then the phone started to ring. Oliver walked over and picked it up. Hopefully this wasn't someone who would make him feel like shit.
"Hello" Oliver said into the phone.
"Hi can I speak to Oliver Queen please" the voice on the phone asked. It was a women's voice he had never heard before.
"Speaking" Oliver said.
"Oh good. Mr. Queen my name is Evelyn Merlyn. I believe you met my associate when you were in the hospital" she said.
Oliver thought for a moment. "Megan right" he asked.
"Yes she gave me your number. I've been meaning to call you. I have a proposition that I think you're going to want to hear. Why don't we meet tomorrow at around five" Evelyn asked. Oliver figured this would be a good way to check out Tommy's stepmother and figure out what she was all about. She wasn't on his father's list so that was something at least.
"Sure five works for me" Oliver said.
"Perfect I'll see you then" Evelyn said hanging up the phone. Oliver hung up the phone. He walked upstairs loosening his tie as he went. This was a meeting he had every intention of making.
The next morning Felicity, Laurel and Sara were all having breakfast in Felicity's apartment. Felicity walked over to the table with three cups of coffee. "Are you sure about this Laurel? I'm sure there's a better way to go about this" Felicity said.
Sara nodded. "Yea why don't you just ask Tommy what's going on" Sara asked.
Laurel sighed. "I tried that but he's not telling me the truth. He keeps getting these mysterious phone calls and won't tell me who they're from. Last night he had a bruise on his forehead and when I asked him where he got it from he said he fell" she said.
Felicity nodded. "He was talking to Martin Sommers outside the courthouse when we left yesterday" she said.
Laurel and Sara looked at Felicity in shock. "Why didn't you tell me this yesterday" Laurel asked.
Felicity shrugged her shoulders. "I forgot. I've been so busy dealing with me and Oliver that I forgot about that. It just came back to me right now" Felicity said.
"See this is why I need you to hack his phone. I need to know what Tommy is involved in" Laurel said.
"Honestly it doesn't sound good. Are you sure you want to know" Sara asked her sister.
Laurel nodded. "I have to no matter how bad it is" she said.
Felicity sighed. "Fine but I'm going to need his phone" she said.
Laurel pulled it out of her purse and handed it to Felicity. "I took it this morning while he was still asleep" Laurel said. Just then there was a knock on Felicity's front door. Felicity got up and answered the door. Two men in suits were standing outside her door.
"Ms. Lance you need to come with us" one of the men said.
Felicity looked at them confused. "Why" she asked as Laurel and Sara came up behind her.
"Your presence is requested" the other man said.
"By who" Laurel asked.
"Sorry Ma'am. That's classified" one of the men said.
Sara stepped in front of Felicity. "Our sister's not going anywhere with you guys" Sara said shutting the door but one of the men put his foot in front of it.
"Ms. Lance we suggest you come with us" one of the men said looking at Felicity.
Laurel stepped in front of Felicity. "What do you want with my sister" she asked.
"That's classified" the man answered again.
"I'm not going anywhere with you. I don't know who you guys are" Felicity said. The two men looked at each other. They nodded at each other. One of the men walked away and came back five minutes later with a file.
"We believe this is of interest to you" the man said handing Felicity the file.
Felicity opened it and gasped. Sara walked over to Felicity and her and Laurel looked at the file. Felicity looked up at the men. "Where did you get this" she asked.
"All will be explained when we arrive at our destination" one of the men said.
"We promise we're not going to hurt you Ms. Lance. We just need your help" the other man said.
Felicity grabbed her purse.
"Wait a second you can't be seriously considering going with these guys" Sara said.
"Yea you don't know these men" Laurel said.
"I have to help them" Felicity said.
Laurel and Sara looked at each other. "Fine then we're going with you" Laurel said.
Felicity smiled and nodded. The men shook their heads.
"Our orders were only for Felicity Lance to come. You two have stay here" one of the men said.
Sara shook her head. "The last time two men Felicity didn't know took her she almost died. We're not letting her go with you guys by herself" Sara said.
Felicity nodded. "I'll go with you but my sisters need to come too or I'm not going" she said.
The two men looked at each other. "Wait here" one of the men said as they walked away.
"What is going on Felicity" Laurel asked once the men were gone.
"Yea why are you willing to go with those creepy men" Sara asked.
Felicity took a deep breath. "Just trust me please" she said.
The two men came back. "Follow us" the men said. The sisters followed the men out of the building. A car was waiting for them. They all got in and the limo drove off.
At Queen Consolidated, Walter walked out of the elevator with Oliver, Moira and Diggle behind him. "As you can see Oliver we've modernized quite a bit" Walter said.
Oliver looked around impressed. He whistled. "Ooh" he said lowly. Two women stared at him as he walked past. "Hi" Oliver said smiling.
Moira smiled. "Are you enjoying yourself" Moira asked.
"Yes I am" Oliver said. They walked into Robert's old office.
"I remember when your father used to bring you here when you were a boy. You always were so excited" Walter said.
"Dad let me drink soda in the office" Oliver said walking around.
"Ahh so that's why you enjoyed coming" Moira said.
"Queen Consolidated's success of late is a result of its targeted diversification. We have been making impressive in roads in cutting edge fields like bio tech and clean energy…" Walter started to say.
"That's neat" Oliver said turning his attention to the secretary sitting outside the office. "Excuse me can I get a sparkling water or something cold please" Oliver asked her.
"Sweetheart, Oliver, Walter and I have something to discuss with you. Come please sit" Moira said waving Oliver toward one of the chairs.
"Mom, it makes me nervous when you ask me to sit down" Oliver said.
"The company's about to break ground on a new site for the Applied Sciences division and we would like to honor your father by dedicating the building in his name" Walter said.
"Nice" Oliver replied.
"We'd like to make an announcement at the dedication that you will be taking a leadership position in the company" Moira said.
"No" Oliver immediately replied.
Moira walked up to her son. "No your company" Moira said. Diggle watched the exchange from the other side of the room.
"No I don't want to lead anything. Besides Walters doing a very good job here" Oliver said. Moira looked back at Walter. He looked away uncomfortably. Diggle rolled his eyes. He was only doing this job for Felicity as her friend. He wasn't a big fan of Oliver.
"You said that you wanted to be a different person. You are Robert Queen's son" Moira said.
"I don't need to be reminded of that" Oliver said.
"Well obviously you do" Moira said. Oliver looked at Walter who walked up to them. He put his arm around Moira.
"Everyone here understands that this transition is really difficult for you" he said to Oliver.
"Thank you Walter" Oliver said. He thought for a moment. "Which part though" he asked. Both Walter and Moira looked at him confused. "Everyone fantasizing that I got my MBA while I was on the island or the fact that my father's CFO now sleeps down the hall from me" Oliver said. Walter just stared at him while Moira shook her head. She started to walk away. Oliver felt bad and looked at the ground.
Moira stopped walking and turned around. "You know five years ago your irresponsibility was somewhat charming" she said while Oliver just looked at her silently. "It is a lot less so now" Moira said walking out of the room. Walter followed after her.
Diggle led Oliver out of the building as the paparazzi swarmed around Oliver. "There he is" one of the reporters yelled. Diggle led Oliver through them to the car that was waiting. Oliver got in. Diggle got in right next to him. Diggle looked out the back window.
"Your driver will be here in a minute" Diggle said.
"OK" Oliver said slowly.
"You know I spent the first 27 years of my life in Starling city, the next five in Afghanistan, you want to know what I learned" Diggle asked.
"There's no place like home" Oliver said sarcastically.
"No just the opposite. Home is a battlefield. Back home they're all trying to get you. Get you to open up. Be somebody your not sure you are anymore" Diggle said looking at Oliver who said nothing. He just sat there deep in thought. "You know I could be wrong. Maybe after five years alone your not as messed up in the head as you have every right to be" Diggle said. Oliver just sat there thinking.
Lian Yu
Oliver laid on the ground of the island he was now stuck on. He had made it to this island and left the raft by the shore with his father's dead body in it. Seagulls started landing on the raft. "Hey. Hey get away" Oliver yelled to the seagulls. He ran towards the raft. "Hey" he yelled. He made it to the raft and started coughing. "Dad" Oliver said seeing the orange bag holding his father's body in the raft. Oliver leaned down and took his dead father's hand. He let go of it and ran to the side of the raft and threw up. More seagulls landed on the raft. "Hey. Hey, stay away from him" Oliver said going back over to the raft. He starts coughing again. Oliver grabs his father's body and starts walking away.
Present
The two men led Felicity, Laurel and Sara through the building. "Where are we" Sara whispered to Felicity. Felicity shrugged her shoulders.
"It looks like some government agency" Laurel said.
The two men stopped walking and turned around. "Wait here. Our boss is very eager to meet you Ms. Lance" the two men said walking out of the room. The three sisters looked around.
"So Felicity you want to tell us what we're doing here" Laurel said.
Felicity sighed. "Somehow whoever these people are got their hands on a very dangerous invention that I created" she said. Laurel and Sara looked at each other confused.
"Felicity you don't create dangerous inventions. You create inventions that help people" Sara said.
Felicity nodded. "In the wrong hands some of them could be used the wrong way. This particular invention was a mistake. It never should have been created. I thought I destroyed all of them but I guess I missed one" she said.
"What exactly is this invention" Laurel asked.
"It's called the Mind Crown. Isn't that right, Ms. Lance" a woman answered from behind the Felicity, Laurel and Sara. They all turned around to look at the woman. The woman walked up to Felicity and held out her hand. "It's an honor to meet you Ms. Lance. I'm Amanda Waller. Welcome to A.R.G.U.S." she said. Felicity shook her hand. Amanda looked at Laurel and Sara. "This didn't have to be a family affair" she said.
"There was no way we were letting Felicity go anywhere with those men by herself" Laurel said.
Sara nodded her head. "Yea the least they could have done is explained what was going on" Sara said.
Waller nodded her head. "I apologize for how you were approached but we need your help and this is a top secret facility and it needs to stay like that" she said.
"We won't say anything. How can I help you" Felicity asked.
"Follow me" Waller said walking out of the room while the three sisters followed her.
Felicity, Laurel and Sara followed Amanda Waller down a corridor until they reached a door. Waller turned around. "What we do here is top secret. What happens in this room stays in this room. Not a word about any of this. Do we have an understanding" Waller looked to Laurel and Sara for confirmation. They looked at Felicity who nodded. They turned to Waller and nodded. Waller smiled. "Very well then. We can proceed" Waller said swiping her card at a control panel and opening the door. The three sisters walked into the room. It was a large room with a window at the end. Felicity walked up to the window in shook. On the other side of the window was a man unconscious with her invention on his head.
Felicity turned to Waller. "You need to get that off his head right now. It's too dangerous" she said.
"We can't do that" Amanda Waller said.
"You have to. It will kill him" Felicity said.
"Ms. Lance that device is on right now. If we take it off of him, he will surely die. Like you said that device is incredibly dangerous" Waller said.
"What does it do" Laurel asked.
"It sends information into the brainwaves. If you need to know something, even the smallest detail it can give you the information you need" Waller said.
"It was supposed to be used to help people with learning disabilities learn easier but it was a failure" Felicity said.
"Why" Sara asked.
"It winds up overloading the brain with too much information. It becomes too much and the brain can't take it. Your brain winds up shutting down" Felicity said. She looked at both of her sisters. "I only wanted to help people with learning disabilities. I never thought it would be this dangerous. I destroyed what I thought was all of them but apparently not" she said looking at the man behind the glass.
"You had them all destroyed. We just fixed this one" Amanda Waller said.
Felicity looked at her. "Why" she said.
"You were on to something Ms. Lance. All of the information in the world could be right at your fingertips. That's a very valuable asset" Waller said.
"It fries the brain" Felicity said.
Waller nodded. "Yes but the information is still there you just have to extract it. That's where you come in" Waller said.
Felicity looked at her shocked. "People die to get that information" she said angerly.
Waller shrugged. "It's all for the greater good. Now for why you're here. We need you to shut it off" she said.
"Can't you just shut it off? I mean aren't you guys the ones who put it on that man in the first place" Sara asked.
Waller sighed. "You're sister created quite the device. None of our tech's can figure out how to extract the information from the device" she said.
"That's because that's not what it was created for" Felicity said frustrated.
"Ms. Lance, the man behind that window is a dangerous criminal. He has information we need. You're going to extract the information we need from him" Amanda Waller said.
"What kind of information do you need" Laurel asked.
Waller shook her head. "That's classified" she said.
Felicity shook her head. "No. I'm not going to help you get whatever information you need for who knows what" Felicity said turning to Laurel and Sara. "Let's go guys" she said and the three sisters started to walk out of the room.
"It's going to be unfortunate when he dies but we'll just have to try again with someone else who has the information we need" Waller called out.
Felicity stopped walking and turned around. "You can't ever use that device again" she said.
"That information is very valuable and we will do whatever it takes to get it" Waller said. Felicity thought for a moment. She couldn't let them kill a bunch of people just to get whatever stupid information they needed.
"Fine. I will get the information for you" Felicity said.
Amanda Waller smiled. "Perfect Ms. Lance" she said.
"That computer is connected to the crown. You should be able to get the information off it using that computer" Waller said pointing to the computer in the corner of the room. Felicity walked over to the computer and started typing some things into the keyboard.
Felicity looked up at Waller. "The information you need is on the computer" she said.
Waller nodded. "Amazing job Ms. Lance" she said. She picked up a phone. "The crown can be taking off Mr. Peterson. We got what we need" she said. Felicity, Laurel and Sara watched as two men walked into the room behind the glass and removed the crown. All of a sudden it started to smoke then it went up in flames.
Waller turned to Felicity. "What did you do" she asked. "I destroyed it and even if you fix it, it won't work. Only I know the code to turn it on. You will never be able to use it again" Felicity said.
Waller smiled at her. "I see Ms. Lance. Thank you for getting the information off the crown" she said. Felicity nodded and her Laurel and Sara left.
At Laurel and Tommy's apartment, Tommy was playing tea party with Rebecca when he heard a knock on the door. "I'll be right back honey" Tommy said getting up, kissing Rebecca on the forehead and going to answer the door. When he answered the door he was shocked to see his father in law standing on the other side with three cops behind him. "Quentin, to what do I owe the pleasure" Tommy asked as Quentin walked in with three cops.
"You, Laurel and Becca are getting around the clock protection" Quentin answered. Quentin looked around the apartment. "Where's Laurel and Becca" he asked.
"Becca's in the other room waiting for me to return to our tea party and Laurel was having breakfast with Felicity and Sara then she was going to work" Tommy answered.
Quentin nodded. "Get used to these faces because they will be going wherever you go. No arguments" Quentin said pointing to the cops standing behind him.
"Is this really necessary" Tommy asked.
Quentin nodded. "As much as I may not like you, your still my son in law and the father of my granddaughter. That makes you family which means you get police protection when the family is threatened" he said.
Tommy smiled at him. "That's the first time since me and Laurel have been married that you called me your son in law. I'm growing on you" he said.
Quentin rolled his eyes. "Don't flatter yourself. I just want to make sure you guys are safe" he said.
Tommy nodded. "Have you told Laurel about this yet? She's not going to be too happy about it" he said.
"She hasn't been answering her phone. Maybe you could try to call her" Quentin said.
"I would but I lost my phone. I haven't seen it since last night" Tommy said.
Quentin nodded and saw Tommy's forehead. "What happened there" he asked pointing to Tommy's eye.
Tommy put a hand up to his forehead. "I was out last night and I fell. I'm such a klutz sometimes" Tommy lied.
Quentin nodded. "I'll keep trying Laurel" he said putting his phone to his ear.
"I need men to head to Felicity and Sara Lance's apartment's" Quentin said into the phone giving them the address.
"What's going on" Tommy asked as Quentin hung up his phone.
"Martin Sommers got attacked last night" Quentin said.
Tommy pretended he was shocked. "So what does that have to do with us" he asked.
"Laurel's whipped up a storm with these guys and until the dust settles all of you will be protected" Quentin said.
Tommy looked at the cops in the apartment. "Can't they stay outside? I don't want to scare Becca" he asked.
Quentin shook his head. "They have to watch after you guys even when your home. Laurel's really made these guys angry" he said. Before Tommy could argue some more, Rebecca came running out of the room.
"Pop pop" she said running up to Quentin.
Quentin smiled and picked her up. "How is my big girl" he asked.
"Tea party" Rebecca said holding up the cup she was holding.
"I wish I could but pop pop's got to work" Quentin said.
Tommy nodded his head taking Rebecca. "Pop pop will play with us next time" Tommy said to his daughter. Quentin nodded and left.
Oliver sat in the waiting room of Merlyn Global waiting for his meeting with Evelyn to begin. Diggle sat next to him reading a magazine while they waited. A woman walked up to Oliver. "Mrs. Merlyn will see you now" the woman said to Oliver. Both Oliver and Diggle stood up. The woman looked at Diggle. "Mrs. Merlyn only wants to see Mr. Queen. You can wait out here for him" she said to Diggle.
Diggle shook his head. "I'm Mr. Queen's bodyguard. I have to go in there with him" Diggle said.
The woman shook her head. "I'm afraid I can't allow that" she said.
Oliver turned to Diggle. "I'll be OK Dig. It's just a business meeting. I'll be right out" he said. Diggle thought about it for a moment. He didn't want to let Oliver go into that meeting by himself but he had a feeling he wasn't going to get in there without causing a scene.
Diggle nodded. "I'll wait here" he said sitting back down.
The woman smiled at Oliver. "Follow me Mr. Queen" the woman said. Oliver did as he was told.
Oliver followed the woman into Evelyn's office. "Mr. Queen is here" she said.
Evelyn smiled at Oliver walking over to hm. "Mr. Queen, it's a pleasure to finally meet you" she said shaking Oliver's hand.
"Call me Oliver" Oliver said.
Evelyn nodded and looked over at her assistant. "Thank you Candice. You may go" Evelyn said. Candice left the office closing the door behind her. "Come sit Mr…. I mean Oliver" Evelyn said walking over to her desk.
Oliver followed her and sat across from her desk. "So how can I help you Mrs. Merlyn. You seemed eager to meet me" Oliver said.
Evelyn nodded her head. "Call me Evelyn and yes I did want to meet you. I hope your adjusting being back in society well" Evelyn said.
Oliver shrugged his shoulders. "As well as can be expected I guess" he said. Evelyn got up from her desk and poured two drinks. One for her and the other for Oliver. She walked up to Oliver handing him a cup.
"As I said on the phone, I have a proposition for you" Evelyn said taking a sip of her drink.
"What would that be Evelyn" Oliver asked taking a sip of his drink. Evelyn grabbed a file off her desk and handed it to Oliver. Oliver took it from her and opened it.
"I don't know if you noticed this Oliver but this city needs help. It's fallen on dark times but we can turn it around" Evelyn said. Oliver looked through the file and saw photos of smiling adults and kids in a happier and brighter Starling City. This was what Starling City could be.
Oliver looked up at Evelyn. "How exactly do you propose we turn this around" he asked. Evelyn smiled at him. There was something about her that felt off to Oliver. He couldn't quite put his finger on it.
"Me and my husband have started an organization that will bring more help to Starling City by adding more protection around the city, giving more people jobs. Whatever people need we want to help them" Evelyn said.
"That sounds great but what could I do" Oliver asked.
"Sign up with us and I'll tell you the rest" Evelyn said holding out a contract and a pen.
"I appreciate the offer but I don't think so" Oliver said placing the file and cup on the desk and standing up.
"Oliver you could help this city in more ways than you know. All we want to do is help the city. I don't need an answer yet but just think about it" Evelyn said. Oliver thought for a moment. It seemed too shady to him and he needed to know more. He didn't want to just sign something that he didn't know what it was.
Oliver nodded. "I'll think about it" he said.
Evelyn smiled. "That's all I ask" she said. "Goodnight Oliver" Evelyn said.
"Goodnight Evelyn" Oliver said. He walked out of the office and Evelyn sat down behind her desk. She needed to make sure Oliver signed the contract. On the outside it looked like it was an agreement to join their organization but in actuality it would sign over 75% of Queen Consolidated to them which they would need if they wanted to enact their plan. Oliver was a crucial piece to their plan. Evelyn was going to make sure he signed that contract no matter what.
Later that night, China White walked down the hallway of Martin Sommer's construction building. "Thank you for coming" Martin said.
"Anything for a friend" China said continuing to walk up to Martin's desk.
"We're not friends. You smuggle drugs I let you use my port" Martin said.
"For which you're paid a lot of money" China said.
"I don't get paid enough to get arrows shot at me. You need to take this guy seriously. He's a bigger threat to you're operation than Nocenti ever was" Martin said.
"Except now it's Nocenti's daughter whose the problem" China said. Martin nodded. "Unlike your friend with the hood we know where to find her" China said.
"Don't be an idiot. You take out Emily Nocenti and Laurel Lance will never let this go. She won't stop until she burns you, me and the entire triad to the ground" Martin said.
"Than we kill Mrs. Lance" China said. Martin nodded once again. All of a sudden the lights flickered and they heard an arrow get shot through the building.
"Looks like your about to meet my friend" Martin said.
"Go. I'll take care of him" China said. Martin got up and ran out of the building and China hid.
Oliver, dressed in the hood, walked up to Martin's desk. It was empty. Oliver wanted to make sure Martin Sommers still understood their arrangement about him testifying. Oliver looked around and didn't see anybody. That was weird Martin normally worked late. Before Oliver could investigate further, he was surprised by China. She came out of her hiding place and surprised Oliver by stabbing him in the back. Oliver yelled out in pain. He turned around and China kicked him into the desk. The desk broke at the force and the knife went deeper into Oliver's back. China took out another knife and was about to finish the job when Oliver shot an arrow at her having it land in her shoulder. She yelled out in pain and dropped the knife. Oliver kicked her hard sending her flying across the room. He rolled over and pulled the knife out of his back. He got up and the woman was gone. The arrow that was in her shoulder was on the floor in her place. Oliver walked up to the arrow and picked it up. Who was that woman? Whoever she was, she was obviously working for Martin Sommers. This made things more difficult.
