A/n: Hello Readers to another epic chapter of Mineta the Mayhem. Hope you guys enjoyed the last chapter because now we enter part 2 of the fight with Kuro Harukaze. Mineta has been holding up so far, now let's see whether he can hold out for the rest of the fight until backup arrives. With the help of his remaining team this should be an easy one! Let the battle commence!
The rumble of a brewing storm filled the entire alleyway, as the sound of an incoming storm roared against the heavens. Within the alleyway were four figures, one criminal against three heroes.
Kuro Harukaze's eyes widened as he acknowledged the sound of a whip lashing against the air.
"Sorry to interrupt your little scuffle, but a good teacher doesn't allow anyone to hurt their students. Looks like a little punishment is in order." Midnight was there with Iida, whom was already leaning in sprinters position, ready to strike in a fast burst of speed at the slightest movement.
Mineta felt elated seeing his teammates here, knowing that they came to his aid. He wasn't sure just how long Harukaze could keep going. He had a lot of endurance and had a knack for taking a lot of punishment.
The sky rumbled again, louder than the last. Kuro looked behind him, jaw clenched and his charcoal optics narrowed towards the two heroes intruding on this fight.
"It's over Harukaze! You can't keep this up forever." Iida said, his eyes focused under his helmet.
Harukaze looked back towards Mineta. Mineta was currently recovering his stamina, the break though much needed actually filling his mind with anxiety. He didn't know what Harukaze may be planning next as he began scoping his surroundings.
Mineta's eyes widened as he looked upwards.
The sky rumbled louder.
Mineta looked at the felons eyes. They were looking at him.
Directly looking at him.
Harukaze immediately extended each hand outward. One towards Mineta, the other towards Midnight and Iida. He inhaled and closed his eyes tight.
"Guys get out of the way!" Mineta warned Midnight. Iida moved her out of the way as Harukaze had extended the claws of his talons through his black smoke. Some of it had lingered around the alleyway thus he was able to use it with his chitin hands.
He swung in Mineta's location as he had bluffed in order to get the other two out of the way. Mineta grabbed a sphere and launched himself towards the roof via his slime rope.
When Mineta reached the rooftop he noticed Harukaze burst next to him and swing in a multitude of claw strikes. The thing is, his swings were a lot faster and more accurate as they nicked Mineta's shoulder and forearm before Mineta stuck his talons to the edge of the rooftop before bouncing on a sphere away from the criminal.
'He's more precise than before. He's not even clicking his mouth for echolocation! He could see using the sound of the thunder above us!'
Mineta landed on the opposite end of the rooftop.
Harukaze looked directly at Mineta once more. He inhaled and unstuck himself before reforming his battle stance towards Mineta.
Mineta's heart was hammering. He had a thousand thoughts running through his head at exactly how he was going to combat the ex bank robber.
A whip sound rebounded before Mineta realized that he was being pulled towards Midnight. A loud boom where Mineta was last standing could be heard, as Mineta nearly found himself in another one of Harukaze's bomb traps.
'Damn! He was luring me to that spot! He knows exactly where every bomb was planted!' Mineta thought to himself.
Harukaze sucked his teeth in mild disappointment before walking along towards the edge, seeing Midnight, Iida, and the purple boy at ground level.
Midnight was carrying Mineta in her arms, the boy was blushing at how tenderly she held him. Her breasts pressed against his face albeit unintentionally.
The funny thing was that Iida was equally holding Midnight as he clearly had to in order to hastily speed up and prevent Mineta's demise.
Midnight smiled at Mineta.
"Are you okay Mineta?" The 18 hero said.
Mineta looked at the crater where he once was.
"Yeah! Thanks for the save!" He said as he smiled at Midnight.
Iida put them both down on ground level as the three looked upwards at Harukaze, who stared menacingly at them. The rumble of the thunderstorm could be heard, carrying with it a flash of lightning.
The lightning could be seen behind Harukaze, lighting up his back and making his front obscured in darkness. He seemed imposing from how still he was, as well as the fact he was unflinching towards a team that outnumbered him.
"Stay away from the buildings. Most likely this whole sector is filled with bombs considering he could burst into smoke." Midnight advised her students.
"We already know he needs to breathe before turning into smoke or when launching an offensive maneuver right?" Iida asked.
Mineta nodded. "He could also manipulate the smoke he touched with his hands and feet. Be careful guys." Mineta said before pulling up two spheres as Midnight readied her whip and Iida readied the thrusters on his legs.
Harukaze stood there for a few more seconds, as if registering them.
"There's no doubt in my mind he is already planning how to fight us, be ready!" Midnight advised, knowing from his dossier and actions thus far, that Harukaze was currently developing a combat plan.
Harukaze burst into smoke in front of them, Midnight immediately swinging before he burst into smoke heading backwards.
Then he burst to their left, their right and from behind the group. Midnight, Iida and Mineta stood back to back so Harukaze wouldn't strike from behind. He may be fast, but they could see a faint trail of where he was moving while he was in smoke form.
Harukaze went to each point he went to while as a stream of smoke, and connected them.
WHIRL
The now connected smoke bursts spun and became a maelstrom that immediately spun around and lifted the three upwards.
'Shit! I thought he could only make a small tornado with his claws! I didn't know they could connect like that!' Mineta thought in a panic as he and the others began lifting upwards.
He made a slime rope and grappled Midnight and Iida to hold on before using another sphere as an airbag. He placed himself and his team on it to stick to the ground.
The whirlwind began closing in, growing in velocity.
Mineta commanded the airbag to suction them like a vacuum before releasing in a far high velocity bounce. Considering the size of the grape airbag, the bounce was powerful enough to propel the group beyond the top of the cyclone Harukaze made. Mineta then jumped and made another grape glider for himself and the other three.
Harukaze's whirlwind had stopped immediately.
The rumble of the sound could be heard again.
Harukaze appeared the moment the sky flashed again with a nearby lightning bolt, scaring Mineta at his speed. The sound of thunder granted him enough stimulus to see, and thus he was to focus more on combat.
He kicked the glider downward and unstuck himself through inhaling and bursting again.
Mineta's glider crashed, exploding in a jam explosion that did provide cushioning for the three.
Midnight got up, noticing the purple slime coating her outfit.
"It's so sticky! It's all over me! Oh my!" Midnight said, aroused by the feeling of the sticky substance.
Mineta blushed intensely at the way she sounded.
'If there was ever a time to be aroused, this isn't it!' Mineta shook his head.
Harukaze burst in front of Midnight and swung with his right arm.
He was caught in a joint lock from Midnight who used her whip to wrap his extended arm before dousing him in her own somnambulist quirk.
She made her quirk fire with extremely high density, causing Harukaze to gasp and inhale, bursting away.
He reformed and opened his eyes. They were droopy a tad from how potent he was blasted with the quirk.
WHAM
Harukaze had his gut hit a multitude of times by Iida, who rushed in and let him have it. Though he loathed the idea of sucker punching someone like this, the criminal just won't come back quietly, thus prompting the dutiful speedsters' reaction.
Harukaze caught Iida's left hand punch in a bone crushing grip and flipped him over behind him and kicked him to propel Iida midair before immediately bursting and kicking him in an endless chitin coated volley of midair kicks, bursting to keep them both up in the air before bursting again as Mineta used a slime rope to grapple him. His rope instead hit Iida and glued him towards the ground.
"Sorry!" Mineta let out as Iida recovered, the slime oozing off him.
BURST
WHAM
Iida looked stunned as Harukaze's open palmed strike him from behind. The strike was so hard due to his chitin hardened limb that it dented the armor somewhat and launched him towards Mineta and Midnight.
Iida got up but grabbed his lower back in pain.
"Are you okay Iida?" Mineta asked.
"Without this armor…he would've paralyzed me. We can't make light of Harukaze. With his sight aided by the sound of the storm he's not holding back anymore." Iida said before readying his thrusters.
Mineta and Midnight got into fighting position.
The intercom in Midnight's ear echoed in her eardrums.
Mineta and Iida heard it as well.
"*static* Midnight are you there? This is convoy 4."
Midnight was more focused on Harukaze in front of her.
And the fear inducing realization that the static noise of the intercom could also be heard in his direction as well.
Her eyes widened.
"Aizawa got us out in time, the surviving officer is okay! We are evacuating right now as we speak!"
Harukaze's eyes widened before he burst and traveled towards Mineta and the team.
He went immediately past them.
"Dammit! He has a radio too!" Midnight let out.
"Wait how? When did he get his hands on one?" Iida asked.
"Aizawa…he must've taken it when he first struck him in the hallway earlier. We gotta get there fast!" Mineta analyzed.
Iida grabbed them both. "On it!"
He sprinted to intercept Harukaze who in his smoke form was obscured by the pitch black sky. The lightning flashes were prevalent and constant as raindrops fell, coating the streets in water. It was only through the flashes that Iida was able to see Harukaze's incorporeal form.
Iida sweated as he ran. The back strike from earlier disoriented his posture, and made his breathing haphazard.
Mineta thought of an idea.
"Wait! I have an idea!" Mineta said.
Iida looked at Mineta while running.
"We need to hurry! There's no time for plans!" The runner said.
"Just trust me!" Mineta asked, his eyes pleading with Iida.
Iida wanted to say no, but considering his current state, he was no longer in any position to catch up to Harukaze who was leaving them in the dust.
"Okay! But make it quick!" Iida said.
Mineta placed two spheres on Iida's feet and with his mental command of his spheres caused Iida to boost forward in constant small bursts. His speed combined with the bouncing power of Mineta's spheres enabled him to catapult through the streets. The spheres attached to his feet were monitored by Mineta. Midnight held Mineta to ensure he had enough eye contact to control them properly. Their faces shook with the velocity of the sprint.
Iida sweatdropped. "Mineta! Just so you know, your recent upgrade is insane."
Mineta smiled. "T-thanks Iida! It means a lot for you to say that!"
Midnight gushed at the teamwork between the two. "Such extravagant displays of teamwork amidst the throes of battle. I am so proud of you two!"
Harukaze noticed their speed outpaced his own. He placed his chitin hands midair against some residue smoke from his transition to solid form.
He then spun like a drill, with claws extended, doubled in size by the smoke. To the three heroes he appeared to be a black drill.
Midnight immediately lassoed a nearby car door left on the floor by all the destruction, and launched it at Harukaze.
The criminal was hit by it and crashed. His body rolled as the trio made their way towards the convoy. In this abyss of darkness, the only source of light emanated from the officers assigned to their team. Their flashlights were like a lighthouse to the three. Among them they noticed Aizawa pulling one convoy officer from the flipped over convoy. Despite his injuries the teacher was able to get the men out of the debris.
Aizawa turned backwards as he noticed the three heading in their position.
"Hey, what are you three doing here? Where's Harukaze?" Aizawa asked.
"He's on his way here for the survivor! Get him out of here!" Midnight warned Aizawa, getting off of Iida.
Aizawa looked at the abyss surrounding them.
"GPS is jammed and I can't see a thing in this darkness. Considering Harukaze's quirk and echolocation, there's no way the survivor will make it." Aizawa analyzed.
Midnight then thought on the spot. "Then put him back in the convoy, we need to buy more time!" She turned back as she heard the rumbling of lightning again. She sighed looking in Mineta's direction.
"Things are gonna get even more hectic from here on out. You think you can keep up that passionate performance a little more?" Midnight asked her student.
"Actually…I need to tell you something." Mineta said.
--With Aizawa--
The task force placed the lone officer in the convoy.
"What's your name, officer?" Aizawa asked.
"Endo. Ayumu Endo, sir." The youthful looking officer replied. Up close he possessed black short hair in a choppy curtain style, the style disheveled from the rain as well as the tumble within the convoy. He wore the traditional police force uniform, including the kevlar vest, though one could see a gaping claw mark that left it in tatters. He seemed like a young man who probably was not expecting to be put under such constraints, unfortunately this job can easily put such ideas of mild crime to waste with the likes of Harukaze running around.
"Okay, Endo. Stay in the convoy, and no matter what happens, don't open the door." Aizawa said with authority as he didn't need the young looking officer pulling off any stupid stunts, especially considering that the officer in question already had a busted leg.
Endo complied, albeit with a far off look in his eye, possibly distraught from the events of today.
"Eraser Head! Kick his ass! Make sure that murdering bastard can't kill anyone else!" Ayumu said before the convoy door was locked by one of the task force officers, a gun was held in his hands.
Aizawa held a strap, ready despite his earlier wounds. Midnight, Mineta and Iida heard a noise despite the rain.
It was Harukaze slowly walking from within the darkness surrounding the lights of the convoy. Like a demon of the abyss he walked slowly in the light. Revealing himself to the four heroes and the men assigned to them.
Each step echoed in the ears of those in front of him. Aizawa narrowed his eyes as his hair stood upwards.
Another step, the sound echoed against the task officers who clicked their firearms' safeties off.
A third step, Midnight's hand clasped her whip tightly. Iida could be seen flexing his ankles and gulping in slight nervousness at the intimidating presence of the criminal on the run.
Harukaze stopped as the thunder rumbled, gazing at the people gathered here in front of his intended target.
"All this trading of blows and we haven't heard a peep out of your mouth. What's the matter, cat got your tongue?" Midnight said, letting some humor out before the brawl.
Harukaze merely opened his mouth wide.
A/n: Que My Hero Academia - Villain Ost
Midnight's eyes widened. Iida felt his stomach churn. Aizawa's eyes were hooded.
Harukaze closed his mouth, nothing more needed to be said.
'Blind…and rendered a mute…' Aizawa thought to himself looking again at Harukaze's scarred body.
'No doubt one motivator to escape.'
Harukaze kept stepping forward.
"Harukaze, stop or we will shoot." An officer said gun pointed.
Harukaze ignored the officer as he kept walking in the rain, claws flexing as he took each step from the darkness into full view. He inhaled.
BANG
Harukaze didn't phase at the bullet shot towards him. The bullet would have made its mark, however it went through him, as his body was already incorporeal. Seeing his incorporeal form, one would see a pitch black smoke wisp slowly edging its way towards the convoy. It was like a literal slow moving storm cloud worming its way to consume all in its path, and destroy those in its way.
The bullets kept flying ad the task force panicked, firing every shot they had. Aizawa would have told them off as they could have shot Midnight and Iida in front of them but it was already too late. The heroes had ducked during the volley.
CHICK CHICK CHICK
The guns clicked and ran empty, no more bullets in their chambers.
Harukaze turned back to solid form as he kept walking. He made one more step and paused before shifting on his right, he paused again and went to his left.
Midnight clenched her teeth.
If one were to check, the pooling water underneath them had been laid out with purple spheres, serving as impromptu landmines. Iida readied his thrusters, Aizawa clenched his strap.
Harukaze smirked a tad. He was wet from the rain, his black eyes piercing the three heroes here.
All three.
Three?
Harukaze looked around. His eyes were excavating the area where Mineta was.
Where is Mineta?
Harukaze's eyes widened looking downward for any holes in the ground.
He looked at the nearby alleyways.
And again. Where was the sound coming from?
Realization hit the felons eyes. He looked backwards.
SPLASH
Harukaze's mouth was sealed via a glop of grape jam coating his mouth and nostrils.
The grape mines buried within the water weren't landmines.
They were decoys.
Mineta was gasping for breath as he crawled out of a deep pit of water he put himself in, awaiting Harukaze to find the sphere mines he placed. He made each sphere of the same weight, shape, and density as whatever shape he took up in the water. Making Harukaze think Mineta was a mine was all he needed to get a good shot right in his orifice.
Mineta, though gasping, was smirking in partial victory.
SCREECH
Three convoy trucks surrounded Harukaze. In it were all his classmates and pro heroes on the roof of each convoy. The convoy's lights blared on his position.
Mineta lifted from his right hand a Loud Mouth from Aizawa.
Aizawa's eyes widened as if on his person, the Loud Mouth was not on his person. Mineta had taken it earlier, just as Harukaze took his radio.
Aizawa sweatdropped. "I gotta get deeper pockets."
Mineta smirked at Harukaze. "Maybe it's best if you keep your mouth shut! Because you are gonna get a front row seat!"
The class landed on the ground, in a fighting position behind Mineta.
Harukaze's eyes furrowed angrily towards Mineta.
The grape themed hero said as his eyes were razor sharp.
"To a class 1A Royal Beatdown!"
