Laurel paced around the precinct waiting for her father. She had to get her father to see that this was all a big misunderstanding. Tommy didn't kill anyone. She wasn't going to let him go to jail. Quentin walked into the room. "Dad" she said walking up to him.

He shook his head. "No Laurel I already told you I can't do anything for Tommy. He's got to face the music for what he did" he said.

Laurel sighed in frustration. "For the fifty millionth time Tommy didn't do anything. This is just all one big misunderstanding" she said.

"Well if that's true the detectives on his case will figure it out. They're very good" Quentin said.

Laurel looked at her father shocked. "Wait a minute your not on his case" she said.

Quentin shook his head. "I'm his father in law. They think it might be a conflict of interest though honestly jail might be exactly what he needs" he said.

Laurel shook her head angrily. "I know you don't like Tommy but he shouldn't go to jail for something he didn't do" she said.

"I know Tommy's been working with criminals. That attack that happened at your apartment last week was probably partly his fault" Quentin said.

Laurel shook her head. "That was just as much my fault as it was his probably more mine" she said.

Quentin put a hand on Laurel's shoulder. "You don't have to keep protecting him. You've been doing it your whole relationship. It's only a matter of time before he gets either you or Becca killed. Him being away from my daughter and granddaughter is not a bad idea at all" Quentin said.

"He stopped working with criminals. He took up Felicity's offer and know works for her" Laurel said.

Quentin nodded. "I know he's finally doing something good with his life" he said.

"Yea so jail isn't the right place for him. He needs to be home with me and Becca" Laurel said.

Quentin shook his head. "Why did you and your sister have to fall in love with Merlyn and Queen? Why couldn't you have picked two nice guys" Quentin asked.

"Not really either one of our styles" Laurel said.

In the interrogation room Tommy had just explained his story for the tenth time to the two detectives. "You want to explain to us again how this Katie Miller died one more time so we can see if we understand" one of the detectives asked.

Tommy rolled his eyes. "Like I told you already like ten times I got a call from Katie saying that she needed to talk to me and Laurel at the funeral home. When we arrived she said she would be right back and then four people came into the room fighting each other with those electric guns. When she came back in the room they killed her" Tommy explained again.

"We didn't see anyone in the room when we arrived" the other detective said.

"That's because like I told you they left before you guys arrived" Tommy said.

"Convenient" one of the detectives said.

"Have you investigated my father and his wife? They had to have had something to do with this" Tommy asked.

"Mr. Merlyn your father and stepmother are out of the city right now" one of the detectives said.

Before Tommy could say anything a man walked through the door. "Not another word Mr. Merlyn" the man said walking over to Tommy.

Tommy shook his head. "Oh no" he said.

The two detectives looked at he man. "Who the hell are you" one of them asked.

"Paul Baker. I'm Mr. Merlyn's lawyer" Paul answered shaking the detective's hands.

"No he's not. I don't need or want a lawyer especially not my father's personal lawyer" Tommy said.

Paul ignored him. "Now detectives you can't hold my client here because you have nothing to hold him with" he said.

"We have your client holding the gun standing over the dead body. That seems kind of suspicious and doesn't look good for your client Mr. Baker" one of the detectives said.

Tommy shook his head growing more frustrated. "I'm not his client" he said.

Paul looked over at Tommy. "Quiet Tommy. Let the adults talk" he said. He turned back to the detectives.

"Anyway as I was saying before you can't hold my client" Paul said.

"There is a bunch of evidence against Mr. Merlyn. Until he tells us what really happened he's not going anywhere" one of the detectives said. Tommy was about to say something but Paul spoke up first.

"Let me show you what happened" Paul said taking a laptop out of his briefcase and opening it. He pressed a button and a video started to play. It was the security video from the funeral home. The detectives watched the video in shook as they saw that what Tommy told them was true. After the video was over Paul closed the laptop and looked at the detectives. "Now uncuff my client. I believe you guys have four criminals to track down" Paul said.

The detectives looked at each other then one of them stood up and uncuffed Tommy. "Our apologizes Mr. Merlyn" he said. The two detectives left the room.

Paul turned to Tommy. "Your father sends his regards. When he calls you answer your phone or else" Paul said.

Tommy walked out of the interrogation room and saw laurel standing with her father. She smiled when she saw him. "Tommy" she said running up to him and hugging him. She looked up at him and kissed him. "They released you" Laurel asked.

"The detectives realized they made a mistake and Tommy here is innocent" Paul said. Laurel looked at him shocked.

"Paul what are you doing here" Laurel asked.

"My dad sent him to help me" Tommy answered.

Paul nodded and looked over toward Quentin. He held out his hand. "Paul Baker the Merlyn's personal lawyer" he said.

Quentin shook his hand. "Nice to meet you" Quentin said.

Paul turned back to Tommy. "Don't forget what I told you" he said.

Tommy shook his head. "You can tell my father to go screw himself" he said.

Paul glared at Tommy. "It would be advisable you do as you were told" Paul said. Tommy just glared back.

Quentin stepped in front of Paul. "I think it's time for you to leave Mr. Baker" Quentin said. Paul looked at Quentin then left.

Oliver headed over to the local school. He had contacted one of the kids at the high school who were part of this organization Evelyn Merlyn was trying to sell to him. His name was Craig Abbott. He went to Starling High the same high school as Thea. Apparently being part of this organization helped his family be able to afford this private school. He walked into the front office and walked up to the desk. "Hi, I'm Oliver Queen and I'm here to see Craig Abbott" Oliver said.

The woman behind the desk looked up at Oliver. "May I ask what is the reason" she asked.

"I'm interested in Craig for a job. I was told to meet him here during school" Oliver lied putting on his charming smile that almost always worked.

The woman smiled at him and got up. "Hold on one second. I just have to let the principal know" she said.

Oliver nodded his head. "Take your time" he said as the secretary got up from her seat and went to get the principal.

A couple minutes later the woman came back with the principal. She held out her hand. "Oliver Queen it's great to see you again" she said.

Oliver shook her hand and smiled at her. "It's great to see you again Mrs. Fisher" he said.

She waved Oliver off. "Please call me Kara. You're an adult now" Kara said.

Oliver shook his head. "That's really weird. You were my teacher. I think I'll stick with Mrs. Fisher" Oliver said.

She nodded her head. "Understandable. So Mrs. Foster says you want to see Craig Abbott" she said.

Oliver nodded. "I have a job offer for him. He said I could meet him while he was in school" Oliver lied.

"We can call Craig down for you. You can wait here for him if you'd like" Kara said.

Oliver nodded. "That sounds good" he said and sat down in a seat. Kara told her secretary to call Craig. The secretary called Craig down to the office. Five minutes later Craig walked into the office.

"Mr. Queen would like to see you" the secretary said pointing to Oliver.

"I'm Oliver Queen we talked about that job opportunity" Oliver said standing up and holding out his hand for Craig to shake.

"We did" Craig asked confused. Oliver winked at him. Craig shook his hand. "Oh right that job opportunity. I remember you Mr. Queen" he said.

Oliver looked over at the secretary. "I'll bring him right back" he said.

The secretary nodded her head. "Take your time" she said. Oliver and Craig walked out of the office and out of the school building.

"So why did you really want to see Mr. Queen" Craig asked.

Oliver smiled at him. "Call me Oliver. Mr. Queen was my father" Oliver said.

"OK so what do you want Oliver" he asked.

"I want to know about that organization you and your family are a part of" Oliver said.

Craig looked at him confused. "What about it" he asked.

"How has it been working out for you and your family" Oliver asked.

"Why are you so interested" Craig asked.

"A friend of mine is thinking about joining. I just wanted to make sure it's a good organization" Oliver said.

"Well being part of that organization is the best thing my family ever did. It helped me get into this school, it helped my family get a bigger and better house which has been completely paid off. The Merlyn's have really helped us and not just my family either. Other families too. Were all better off because of their organization" Craig said.

Oliver nodded his head. "It sounds like you don't regret joining" he said.

Craig shook his head. "I don't. My family is happy for the first time in a very long time. They really are helping the city" he said.

Oliver smiled at him. "I'm happy to hear that everything's going well for you and your family. Maybe the Merlyn's are doing good for this city" Oliver said.

Craig nodded his head. "They are. Trust me" he said.

Oliver shook Craig's hand. "Thank you. You helped me out a lot. I'll let you get back to class" Oliver said.

Craig smiled at him. "Glad I could help" he said. Craig watched as Oliver got in his car and left.

Craig walked back into the school where Kara was waiting for him. "What did Mr. Queen want" Kara asked Craig.

"He was asking questions about the organization. Don't worry he has no idea what's actually going on" Craig said.

Kara smiled at him. "You did good. Get back to class" she said. Craig nodded as he walked back to his class. Kara walked into her office and shut the door. She picked up her phone and dialed a number and waited for the person on the other end to answer. Someone answered the phone. "Oliver Queen was just here asking questions about the organization. He talked to Craig" Kara said into the phone.

"Did Craig say anything that could hurt us" the person on the other end asked.

"No Mrs. Merlyn. He's still clueless as too what's going on. Are you sure he won't be a threat" Kara asked into the phone.

"Mr. Queen is going to be an ally for us. Don't worry I know how to control him. Just keep your eyes on Craig and the others. Were going to need them" Eve said into the phone.

"Of course. I'll keep you updated with what's going on" Kara said.

"Good. Now I have to go. I expect to hear from you again soon" Eve said.

"Of course" Kara said.

Eve hung up the phone and smiled. "Everything is falling into place" she said looking down at the chessboard in front of her. She moved a couple of the pawns around the board. She looked down at the king and queen. "You are making this way too easy Mr. Queen" she said. She put her pointer finger on the knight piece. "We got your knight right where we want him" she said knocking down the knight piece which she was using to refer to Tommy. "Next up is you're queen" she said putting her finger on the queen piece and knocking it over. "Ms. Lance is in for quite the surprise but all in due time" she said. She picked up the king piece. "As for you Mr. Queen. You're going to become our pawn" she said laughing. "I'm going to have fun with you" she said. "There is just one wildcard" she said looking at a news report about the vigilante. She smiled.

Later that night, Oliver and Tommy walked into Max Fuller's club Poison. Diggle was behind them. "Oh this is going to be killer" Tommy said laughing as the bouncer took the rope off the stanchion to let Oliver and Tommy in.

"Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean you just got arrested" Oliver asked.

Tommy laughed him off. "For something I didn't do. It was the cops fault" he said.

"Yea well I don't think I should be here. If Max Fuller sees me here I agree. It will be killer" Oliver said as he walked past the bouncer.

"Oh come on. If you want to run a business you got to take a few risks" Tommy said as he too past the bouncer. Diggle tried to follow them in but the bouncer put the rope back up.

"I don't see your name on the list" the bouncer said.

"Mr. Queen" Diggle called out to Oliver.

"Oh" Oliver said as he and Tommy turned around. Oliver walked over to the bouncer. Tommy followed behind him. "I have never seen this guy before in my life. Ever" Oliver said to the bouncer. He winked at Diggle then walked away.

Oliver and Tommy walked deeper into the club and saw a bunch of people partying. Felicity, Laurel Sara and Ava were all standing by the bar. Sara was trying to get her sisters to dance with her but they just shook their heads. Laurel looked across the room and saw Oliver and Tommy walking up to them. She smiled. "Tommy" she said walking over to her husband and kissing him.

Felicity smiled at Oliver and walked up to him. She gave him a quick kiss. "Hi" she said.

"Hi" he said back. He saw she was in a green dress which looked amazing on her. "You look beautiful" he said pulling her close to him.

"Thank you. You look very handsome" she said.

She looked around the room. "Where's John? He was supposed to come with you guys" she asked.

"He didn't feel well so he decided to go home" Oliver said.

"Oh I hope he's OK" she said.

"He'll be fine" Oliver said.

Sara walked over to the group. "It's good that you guys could finally make it" Sara said.

"Yea it's good to see you guys" Ava said.

"Now the party can really begin" Tommy said.

"I'm glad to see you didn't end up in jail" Felicity said.

Tommy shook his head. "It was all just a big misunderstanding. I got it all cleared up" he said.

Oliver looked around. "So this is what passes for fun in Starling city after five years" he said.

"I'm sure you'll find that it hasn't been the same without you" Laurel said.

"She's got that right" Tommy said patting Oliver's shoulder.

"Yea you were definitely missed Oliver" Sara said. All of a sudden Thea ran up to the group. She hugged Felicity.

"It's great to see you" she said.

"Yea you too" Felicity said smiling at Thea.

"I am so wasted right now there's two of you" Thea said. Tommy, Laurel, Sara and Ava all looked away awkwardly.

"I thought you were grounded" Oliver said to his little sister.

"I am and thank you for that by the way" Thea said.

Oliver stepped closer to his sister. "You're done for the night" Oliver said.

"Oh what are you going to do? Tell mom" Thea said.

"Thea maybe you should slow down a little bit" Felicity said.

Thea looked at Felicity shocked. "No I'm fine. Thanks for your concern" she said.

"Thea, you are hanging with the wrong people" Oliver said.

"You're one to talk" Thea laughed. Laurel and Tommy just stood there awkwardly pretending they were having their own conversation while Sara and Ava moved away and started to dance.

"Thea I really think you should listen to Oliver" Felicity said. Thea glared at Felicity then looked to Oliver.

"How much do you know about what Felicity was doing while you were gone" she asked. Oliver looked to Felicity who then turned away from him ashamed.

"Thea, maybe you shouldn't…" Tommy started to say turning around to look at Thea.

"Tommy, I think Felicity's boyfriend has a right to know" Thea said turning to Tommy.

Oliver turned back to Thea. "Thea, let's go" he said.

"Well, I guess she never told you that she was the one who got me on the drugs" Thea said.

Oliver turned to Felicity who still wouldn't look at him. Laurel and Tommy looked at them awkwardly. Thea smiled at Felicity and Felicity just stared at her. Laurel walked over to Felicity and hugged her. Oliver glared at his baby sister. "Look, Oliver I…" Felicity started to say but Oliver interrupted her.

"Felicity, it's OK. I'm not mad. I promise" Oliver said smiling at Felicity. He turned back to Thea who smiled at him smugly. "You and me were done for the night" Oliver said grabbing Thea.

"Take your hands off of me" Thea yelled pushing him. "You're not my father and you're barely my brother" Thea said walking away from him. Oliver just stood there letting Thea's words sink in.

"Well, well. Look at this. Oliver Queen" Max Fuller said from behind Oliver.

Oliver slowly turned around. "Max Fuller. How've you been" Oliver asked putting on a fake smile.

"Happy you drowned" Max said. The smile faded off Oliver's face.

"That's not funny" Felicity said.

"It wasn't a joke" Max said.

Oliver got taken to a back room. He turned around. "Hey Max…" Oliver started to say but Max surprised Oliver punching him in the face sending him to the ground. Oliver clenched his fist and had to calm himself down.

"Get him up" Max ordered his men. The two men pulled Oliver to his feet.

"Let him go, Let him go. Hey, I said let him go" Tommy said running between Oliver and the two men. Max crossed his arms.

"Told you he was gonna be pissed" Oliver said.

"Back off, Merlyn. This isn't your problem" Max said.

"You wanna get to him? You've got to go through me" Tommy said. He turned back to Oliver. "Wow, they are probably gonna go through me" Tommy said. One of the men pushed Tommy and he responded by punching the man in the face. The man grunted in pain. Tommy started fighting one of the men while another tried to punch Oliver but he moved out of the way. Two of the men grabbed Oliver while the other man threw Tommy across the room.

Oliver punched one of the men in the face while another one of the men came up behind Oliver and punched him sending him onto the floor. Two of the men kicked at Oliver while the other man grabbed Tommy and threw him on the floor next to Tommy. Max stood off to the side watching and smiling until he was grabbed from behind. People started punching him in his back. Then someone kicked his knee and another person threw him to the floor. He looked over and saw Felicity, Laurel, Sara and Ava standing above him. They all high fived each other. "So is this over, Max" Laurel asked. The men who were beating up Oliver and Tommy looked over at the three Lance sisters shocked.

"Are you going to have your men pound on us next" Felicity asked as Laurel and Sara rubbed their knuckles. Oliver looked over at them shocked. He had never seen any of them especially Felicity do something like that before.

Max got up to his feet while his men all looked at each other confused. Felicity, Laurel and Sara all looked at the men. "You can all leave unless you all want to get your ass kicked" Sara said.

"You six consider yourselves banned for life. Get the hell out of my place" Max said pointing at all of them. Max left the room as his men followed. Oliver and Tommy got up.

"You're club sucks anyway" Tommy yelled too him.

"Are you guys OK" Laurel asked as she hugged Tommy.

"Where did you guys learn to do that" Oliver asked as Felicity hugged him.

"Cop dad remember. He made all of us take self defense classes" Felicity said.

"They come in handy from time to time" Sara said.

"Sara taught me some moves" Ava said. Felicity dragged Oliver out of the room with her.

"Felicity what's wrong" Oliver asked.

"What Thea said…" Felicity answered.

Oliver shook his head. "It's fine. I told you. I'm not mad at you" Oliver said.

"I need you to know that after I lost both you and the baby I went down a dark path Oliver. You're not the only one who did things you'd prefer not to talk about" Felicity said.

Oliver put a comforting hand on her shoulders. "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to" he said.

Felicity shook her head. "I didn't do drugs for long maybe like three weeks or something after I lost the baby. Unfortunately during that time I wasn't thinking straight and I let Thea have some and know she's doing drugs and stealing. I was just hurting so bad. I'm so sorry Oliver. The last thing I wanted to do was turn Thea into a criminal. I was just so lonely and so was she and we took comfort in the drugs and each other. This is all my fault" Felicity cried.

Oliver pulled Felicity close as she cried into his chest. "Shhhh, it's OK" Oliver said soothingly. This wasn't all Felicity's fault. This was Thea's too and it was time she started taking responsibility for her actions and stop blaming everyone else.

Oliver woke up. His shoulder was hurting it just wasn't as bad as it was before. He looked down at his shoulder. At least the arrow was out. He looked across the cave and saw the man that shot him sleeping. Oliver struggled to get up but he quietly got up and ran out of the cave. Oliver panted while he ran through the forest. He continued running until he fell. He got up coughing as he did and continued to run. He would look back every once in a while to make sure that man wasn't chasing after him. He stopped running and held onto a tree branch feeling sick. He touched his shoulder and started walking. He couldn't run anymore. He stopped walking when he heard branches creaking. He looked up at where the noise was coming from when all of sudden he was trapped in a net hanging from the tree. Maybe he should have stayed in the cave. He might have had better luck there.
