You Always knew

You always knew,

How days would be left for me,

You always knew,

Why I would cry for no reason,

You always knew,

the logical way of things,

But why didn't you know...

Why I died?...

Raven sat on her bed, flopped onto her backside in a comfortable position. Her eyes were closed, and she attempted to fall asleep after writing a short journal entry.A journal entry she felt may very well be her last. She held on tight to her diary booklet, with it's jaded sighn on the front as she attempted to go to sleep. At some point,Raven felt she'd need a lullaby to help her relax. But she knew that wouldn't work.

She knew she couldn't sleep until this was done.

Raven started fidgeting, her hair messsed up,her outfit without it's cape, everything loose and out of place. At last she abruptly got up,still clenching tight to her diary, and looked around.

Her room...seemed dead.

Everything was in place.Nothing movd.Nothing made a sound.Nothing in her room TO make a sound.Raven's eyes slightly widened as she got up and wrapped her cape around her, eventually pacing over to a mirror to tie it properly around her neck and fasten it to her outfit. She then opened her key-padded door, and looked around.Nobody was in the halls.Beast Boy was in his room listening to loud music for all Raven knew, Star Fire was having a fauz pas tea party with her outrageous collection of Tamoranian stuffed plushies.Robin was as usual,in the Gym with Cyborg, bulking up on new tricks. And Terra, who had just recently officially joined the group, was on the outside practice course, messing around with several rocks, and mud slides.Even toying around with water.

Raven continued down the hall all the way to the stair case. There, she zipped up the stairs, and eventually, made it to the roof. She continued walking on the surface of the edge of the roof,up until the point she got to the ledge where the Teen Titans group often over-looked the city for a nice evening view.Raven looked out onto the sight-line...a beautiful city indeed.

A city she'd miss after her fall.

She'd checked the calendar recently,it indeed was her birthday. As the rules applied in the Teen Titans tower, nobody wished her a happy Birthday what-so-ever.They let Raven keep to herself,as she always prefferred on her birthday. She knew very well what she had to do to make the pain go away, and this would hurt more than the pain itself.A near gaurantee she'd wake up on the street somewhere else, but this was something she had to do before the little voices inside her head did it for her.

She carefully climbed up the ledge and stood high on top of it,arms spread in a falling fashion. One last image of her mother jumping this very same ledge, only in a different place, the sun spread out in front of her, came to Raven's head.

At last,she fell.
