It was easy to travel on the ceiling, since none of the guards expected him up there, and that the cameras didn't record the ceiling. He rushed over to the Children's Ward, trying to remember exits incase a quick escape was needed.
He opened the door, pleased to see that the children had not been moved yet.
"Narcissa," He asked the wolf-girl, "Do you have any tracking devices on you?"
She shook her head No.
"Great. Okay. I need you three to come with me."
"What?"
"We're leaving!"
The three looked happier than a kid in a candy store.
He found it very difficult to hold them all and crawl on the ceiling. He could not do it.
"Okay…new plan…I'll take you to the garage…you know where that is?
"No…?"
"Great. Okay! Follow me then!"
He dragged them out of the back door in the locked room. The outside was the House of Heroes was deserted and dry. He walked around the perimeter, searching for the garage.
He found a large-I mean huge-shed attached to the side of the complex. He lifted the steel door up, and told the kids to crawl underneath. Once they entered, they saw an escape pod all ready to go, with everyone on board.
"Let's go let's go!" Johnny Storm yelled.
"No! I have to find Aquamarine!" Spider-Man said.
"Are you nuts? We can leave now!"
"No! I promised her!"
Captain America stepped outside.
"Son, you did your best. You saved us all. We need to leave now, or we'll jeopardize the situation even more."
"But…I promised."
"I know. I've promised a lot of things, too."
Spider-Man looked down at his feet.
"Peter. We need to leave."
He nodded reluctantly, and followed Captain America into the large ship.
"Anyone know how to drive this thing?" Wolverine asked.
"It's a hell of a lot different than the Fantasti-Car." Johnny added.
Spider-Man walked over and examined the buttons.
"Here, set it on autopilot." He said.
"Okay, now what?"
"Just plug in the coordinates. Abba, where's your home planet."
But then the escape pod jolted.
"We know you're in there, Earthlings! Come out!"
"It's the Head!"
"Fuck her!" Spider-Man yelled. He pressed the ignition button and the ship crashed through the steel door. They were gaining altitude fast. They broke the atmosphere of the planet within five seconds.
Everyone cheered and jumped. They were safe.
"Plug in Earth for the autopilot. You deserve to get home first." Narcissa said. Abba nodded. Spider-Man awkwardly patted Narcissa on the head and did so.
"It'll be a while 'till we get there…even with the escape pod's thrusters." Captain America said.
"How long we talking?" Mary Jane asked.
"Few months."
Everyone groaned with great enthusiasm.
