Once Earth came into view, everyone felt excited. The long-...and I mean LONG-...trip was over. They were going home at last.
Spider-Man flicked on the Fasten Seatbelt sign, and everyone did so.
"We're breaking the atmosphere." He informed them. As if the pressure they were feeling as they descended at incredible speed didn't let them know.
The ship landed roughly on top of the Daily Bugle Offices. It was such a wide, flat building. It was so handy!
As they all said their good-byes, Spider-Man stayed on longer to make sure everything was in check.
"Abba, take the kids home first, ok?"
"I know, Spider-Man."
He knelt down and patted the colored animals.
"Be good ok?" He said.
"Thanks for everything Spider-Man." Narcissa said. She licked him on the cheek. Ah, she was still a type of dog, I guess...
Abba stood up, a tear in her eye.
"Spider-Man. Thank you so much. I will never forget you."
Spider-Man smiled. "Me neither."
Their noses touched, and she rolled up his mask.
Their lips touched, and he held her tightly.
He broke away.
"Abba..."
"I know. Intergalactic relationships never work out."
They both laughed.
"I really won't forget you, Abba."
She smiled.
And he de-boarded.
As the ship took off, they waved good-bye again.
"What took you so long, Tiger?"
"I...uh...nothing."
She smiled and was carried down to the street by Johnny Storm."
"You call that smooch nothing?" Said Wolverine when it was just them two on the roof.
"What? How'd you see?"
"The windows aren't tinted, dumb ass."
"Wolverine, did Mary Jane see?"
"Nah, too busy thanking God she was back in New York!"
He saw Spider-Man was still uncomfortable.
"Hey, I won't go blabbing to anyone, okay? I mean, it was a romantic moment. And don't deny that you were crushing on her. Cute alien babe."
Spider-Man laughed.
It was good to be home.
