"Hey everyone! It's been a while since I wrote here…. I think it was like 4 years or something? Well, anyways, I'm 17 now and I hope I left the cringe fanfiction phase, haha. The ones I have written were bad, like really bad. Except for the one that I still have online, which is „only" bad. Okay, here's the thing. I'm slowly getting into the christmas mood and I searched for a Raven christmas fanfiction and while they were nice, they weren't really what I was looking for, so I decided to write my own. (Oddly enough that's one of the things I live by: If you can't find it, do it yourself)
Alright, lastly the mandatory disclaimer to say that I don't own anything, that all the cedit belongs to cartoon network and that if I owned it, teen titans go wouldn't exist and teen titans would have continued.
So, now that that's out of the way: Let's go and enjoy!
- . .-. .-. -.- / -.-. …. .-. .. … - - .- …
Raven stood in the middle of the living-room of the T-Tower, looking at the christmas tree her team mates and her had just finished decorating. She smiled a bit, since it was a rather nice tradition in the middle of all the other, and sometimes weird, things earth celebrates. Only recently had she left Azarath and ended up on earth and pretty soon after that she had found the other titans, while they had been fighting Starfire.
(earlier today)
It was early in the morning. All of the Titans were still asleep, except for one. Raven walked into the kitchen to make herself a cup of tea. She filled the kettle with water and put it on the stove, turning it on. While waiting for the water to boil, she grabbed a mug and opened the cabinet where her tea was and there it stood. Raven reached for the small box, picked it up, took out a tea bag, put it in her mug and poured the, now boiling, water into the mug. Leaving the mug in the kitchen to cool down a bit, she walked to her room and grabbed a book, before walking back into the kitchen to get her mug. She carried it over to the couch, sat down, opened the book and started to read.
About somewhere around 1 pm, metal footsteps interrupted her peace. The door swung open and Cyborg entered. „Morning, Raven", he said happily as soon as he saw her. Raven immediately noticed he was in a good mood, though she didn't know why and since it also wasn't her business, she continued reading her book. Cyborg on the other hand, started making some breakfast. „Where are the others?", Raven asked, since Cyborg had entered alone, which was pretty unusual for him. „Robin, Beast Boy and Starfire are currently looking in the storage room to see if we got some christmas decorations to decorate the tower with, since it's Christmas Eve today", Cyborg explained.
Raven acnowledged the explanation and went back to reading, but somehow she couldn't really concentrate on her book anymore. Apparently Starfire new what that ‚Christmas' was. From the rather short conversation she had gathered that it was some kind of earthly celebration, since she didn't celebrate it in Azarath and there were definitely no celebrations in hell either. Raven knew if she asked what Christmas was, she'd learn something new about earth's cultures, but then again, she usually also made it seem like she was the smartest member of the team and asking would definitely go against her usual nature as well as her representing pride. In the end she decided it was still better if she asked and if only Cyborg knew about it, it wouldn't be so humiliating.
„Uhm, Cyborg?", she barely started as the other three barged in through the door. „Look what we found!", Robin said and walked in, carrying two cardboard boxes and putting it on the living room floor, Starfire flew in second, carrying 5 boxes in each hand, as well as a big one on top, forming something a bit like an upside down U, and lastly Beast Boy entered, clearly struggling to carry even one in his human form. Cyborg was now done with breakfast and served it. „Breakfast looks awesome as always", Robin complemented him. „Is this vegetarian?", Bb asked as he sat down at the table. Starfire had already sat down, pretty much immediately as soon as Cyborg was done and lastly, Raven decided to get up and enjoy breakfast with the others. „They're waffles, Beast Boy", Raven said as she closed the book. „They're usually vegetarian", she added as she sat down and the other three said hello to her.
„Today is the Christmas Eve!", Starfire exclaimed after they had eaten. „I am so excited to share this earthly tradition with you, my dear friend", Star said and Raven knew she would have hugged her if she had had the chance to do so. Then Robin got up and him being, well, him, came up with a strategy. „Alright, Titans, today is Christmas Eve. We only have a few hours until it gets dark and we still got a lot of stuff to do. Starfire and I will decorate the outside of the tower. Cyborg, Beast Boy you decorate the rooms", Beast Boy saluted, „And Raven, you put up the tree. Titans go", Robin yelled and everyone got to work. Cyborg decided to put on some christmas music as he and Bb started off with decorating the living room, while Raven watched the two boys. After about an hour of them decorating Cyborg looked over to her, noticing she hasn't really done anything yet. „You might want to start putting up the tree", Cyborg hinted. How was she going to get out of that one? „I'll do it as soon as you aren't in here anymore. It's more of a surprise that way", she said and was happy with the lie she had come up with, to talk her way out of that one. About another hour later, Bb and Cy were done with the living room, leaving Raven alone with the big box, Starfire had carried earlier.
She walked up to it and looked at it curiously and walked once around it, before opening it, since the label had said „Tree". To be honest, Raven didn't think of a cardboard box, when the others had talked about a tree, but upon opening, she realised that they actually had talked about a tree, albeit a plastic one which made some more sense as to why you would stuff it in a cardboard box, but all of that didn't make a lot of sense to her. Not really thinking much of it though and doing what Robin had told her to do, she shrugged and put all the contents of the box on the ground. There were now about 5 pieces of metal, 4 of which with plastic branches on the ground now and she had to somehow figure out what to do next, since the box didn't have a manual in it.
(few hours later)
Raven still had no idea how she was supposed to put up the fake tree. Looking at the pieces for a bit again, she guessed that one of them was the stand, where the rest of the ‚tree' was going to stand on. She guessed that was a good place to start. Raven just found a good spot to put the tree as Beast Boy entered again, carrying a new cardboard box. „How's the tree coming along?", he mused as he entered. „Uh…", Raven tried to come up with something to say, but couldn't think of something fast enough to talk her way out. Beast boy, set the box down on the floor and looked from it to Raven and back to the box. After a few seconds he said: „You don't know much about christmas, do you?". Raven looked at the floor. How she wished she could just disappear right then and there. „No worries", Beast Boy said and walked up to her. „Cy's almost done with the decorations, so he can handle it on his own. Here! Let me help you", he offered and Raven was very greatful he didn't start laughing and making fun of her.
„Okay, let's start with the basics. Do you have any previous knowledge?", he asked and Raven shook her head no. „No worries. Alright…", Bb started explaining while also helping with setting up the tree before the others enter. „…today you mostly give eachother presents", Bb finished explaining, as he connected the different parts of the tree lights and Cyborg entered. Having heard that last part, he added: „It's not all about presents and materialistic things, it's also about celebrating with your friends and family and enjoying spending time with them". „Cyborg's right", Robin agreed as he walked in with Starfire now. „You know, you could have just told us, you haven't celebrated christmas yet", Robin said and opened the box Bb had brought before he helped Raven. Inside it were a lot of christmas ornaments. „Come on, Titans, let's finish this together".
Two hours later, it was now dark outside and Starfire had just placed the top piece on top of the tree. Then she floated back to Robin and stood next to him and the other Titans. Then Robin looked at Raven. „Will you do the honors?", he asked. Raven nodded and walked over to the plug, to plug in the tree and plugged it in. The tree immediately lit up and it was one of the most beautiful things Raven's ever seen. She then walked back over to the other Titans. For a moment everything was silent, until Beast Boy started singing.

Well, that was that. Turned out to be shorter than I wanted, but I think it's kinda cute.
Thanks for reading, I hoped you liked it and it would make my day if you would review it, so I can always improve!
One more thing though, I'm also planning to write a hallmark movie with the characters of the Teen Titans and the main ship will be RavenxJinx. It'll pretty surely be out sometime in January, though still going to be very christmas, so yeah, just as a heads up and something to look forward to.
