Sabo
A small frown graces his face as his steps picked up the pace, eyes on the notepad in his hands as he quickly scanned through the notes and tried to focus on his duties as student council president. However, his mind kept pulling away to thoughts of (Y/N), he had last seen her at the barbeque and he can't help wonder if she had made a decision yet. He could ask Law, but he would need a reason to, right? Or could he simply feign curiosity and say it's because she had mentioned it to him? Shaking his head, he pulled himself back to the present, he had to hurry to class having already been made late with his meeting with the principle. He cast his eyes back over his notes, he had to remember to discuss certain topics with the council later, he steps into the classroom,
"Ah, just the right person," looking up at hearing the teachers voice he meets (Y/N)'s gaze, surprise floods through him, "if you need any help Sabo here will look after you," his brain quickly stumbles to catch up with what is happening,
"Ah, um..." she smiles nervously at him and he can't stop the bright happy smile coming to his own face,
"Alright, everyone in your seats please," the teacher basically dismisses the both of them to sit down. Glancing over at his brother and friends, his frown returns briefly at the suspicious grins on their faces. He takes note of the fact Koala has moved seats, both her and Ace are grinning the widest. Feeling heat rise to his face he turns to (Y/N) and motions for her to come sit with him while he mentally tries to decide whatever to thank his best friend or not for giving him this chance to be close to (Y/N). As class began, he could see she was nervous and did his best to help calm her. Talking quietly with her, he helped out where he could so she was aware of what they were currently working on in class. As the time passed, he noticed her relax more and his stomach would flutter every time she smiled at him.
"So, you decided to transfer," Sabo states as they pack their stuff away at the end of class,
"In the end I was convinced," she chuckles and he beams,
"Well, I'm glad you came to that decision," she blush's a little at his words but before he can say anything else Ace drops his arm around his shoulders making him tense,
"What do you have next (Y/N)?" Ace asks as Ember and Koala stop beside the desk,
"I have a free period now..." she responds with a slightly raised eyebrow at Ace's clear shiftiness,
"Do you want to come to the library with us?" Ember asks,
"Yeah, you should join us, right Sabo?" Ace nudges him, making him frown at his brother,
"Sadly, we can't go to the library ourselves today, extra council duties," Koala reminds with an amused smile as this makes him frown deeper and sigh,
"That's true," he turns his gaze to (Y/N), "Sorry," she looks surprised by his apology,
"You don't need to be sorry," she says quickly,
"We're going to be late Sabo, the president can't be late for his own meeting," Koala starts tugging him away, she leans close and whispers "you can flirt next time, you will see her every day at school now," she grins and he feels his face flush dark red as he quickly exits the room. Koala giggles, "Could you make it any more obvious?"
"I don't know what you mean," he huffs pulling his notebook out, "time to stop playing games, we have a meeting, there's an important note we need to discuss today," Koala pouts at him and pulls his cheek, "must you do that?"
"Yes," she grins, "now let's hurry, the others will be there before us," he chuckles as she skips along.
He was somewhat glad everyone was there when they got to the meeting room, he did find himself looking at Sai disapprovingly as he sat with his feet up on the table, Koala moved to greet their friend Hack as Sabo took a seat beside Perona who was sewing some kind of doll. He chose not to comment on that, "Alright guys, we have something important to discuss today, and I'll need all hands-on deck to help organise it," everyone turns to him and waits for him to continue, "It's time for The Pirates verses Marines School Olympics"
"Yes!" Sai drops his feet to the ground and sit upright, "I've been waiting for this to come about," The School Olympics was an event held between Grand Line Highschool and Redline Academy every four years, though it had been delayed recently by two years,
"Alright, let's keep the excitement down for now and sort out plans, we have members of Redline Academy's school council coming tomorrow evening so we need to get our side sorted before then, we are the hosts this time round." And so continued the planning, which in the end was more him, Koala and Hack but the work got done. He then had Koala hand out assignments to check on clubs while he quickly noted down a few things. Once everyone except for Koala had left he tucks the notepad away,
"Okay we have the volleyball club, the basketball club and the tennis club to check," Koala reads off a list,
"I thought Perona usually checks on the basketball club?" not that he's complaining because it gave him a chance to check in on Luffy,
"Yes, except since last time when she got hit in the face by a rogue ball, curtesy of Zoro, she now refuses to be responsible for checking on them," Koala chuckles and grabs her check list as they head to the door, he shakes his head,
"I don't know how they cope with one another," he comments,
"It's just how siblings are right? You and your brothers aren't much different." He couldn't argue there, his brothers did like to rough it a little.
Lucky for them, all three clubs were on the outside courts today while the weather was still clear. Not a lot of activity was happening by the volleyball and basketball club though. "There seems to be a commotion over at the tennis club," a look of disapproval crosses her face,
"Best we check it out then," they both nod in agreement and head over, Koala shoves her way through the forming crowd and he closely follows,
"Oh," a gasp of surprise slips from her, he steps to her side to see what's going on and is mildly surprised by the heated tennis match in progress between the club captain Nojiko and, his eyes widen as they land on her, (Y/N).
"What is going on?" he asks no one in particular, Vivi appears at their side,
"Sorry," she cringes and glances at the two going back and forth, Nojiko was pushing herself, whereas (Y/N) just looked super focused, "The Captain is trying to convince (Y/N) to join the club," Sabo couldn't take his eyes off (Y/N),
"I don't blame her... I didn't know (Y/N) played so well, what's the score?" Koala asks,
"No one's scored yet" Sakura suddenly appears on their other side,
"What?" both Koala and Sabo exclaim, Vivi smiles,
"(Y/N) is basically an ace at this, she was technically second in Redline, I could never beat her," Vivi informs, "They've been going back and forth like this for over two hours now,"
"Nojiko doesn't want to back down, but I'm kind of worried she's going to get herself hurt..." Sakura frowns, no sooner are the words out of her mouth does Nojiko stumble over her own feet and slam face first into the ground hard. Everyone winces, then frowns as Nojiko doesn't move, only groans.
"Are you alright?" (Y/N) calls across the court, out of breath herself, Nojiko grunts and pushes to her knees,
"I'm not done yet," her nose is bleeding badly,
"I think we should call it; you're bleeding..." (Y/N) is clearly concerned,
"No, I'm not done yet," Nojiko gets unsteadily to her feet, some of the club members voice their concerns but Nojiko looks determined, Sabo steps forwards realising he would need to end this before it got out of hand. He clears his throat garnering attention from everyone,
"It is almost time to finish up, all clubs should be cleaning up and getting ready to leave now," he tells them,
"Saaaaaabbbooooo!" Nojiko whines and stomps her foot, he raises a brow at her,
"Rules are rules I'm afraid, you should also check in at the nurse office before leaving," he gives her a pointed look, "there will be more time for tennis another day," Nojiko huffs but turns to her club members, gives them jobs to do then walks off. The crowd is dispersing now. (Y/N) throws him a thankful look before turning to Law who was stood beside her now. Luffy suddenly lands on his back,
"(Y/N) is awesome, she moves so fast, shishishi," Sabo just nods in agreement,
"You better go help your club clean up Luffy, I'll see you outside," he feels Luffy drop and dash off,
"If you keep staring, people are going to start noticing and call you stalker," Koala snickers beside him, he quickly snaps his gaze away from (Y/N) turning red,
"I wasn't staring, I don't know what you mean, stop spouting nonsense," he puffs out his cheeks and Koala just laughs.
