I don't own Kingdom Hearts or Marvel. They belong to Disney, Marvel, and Square Enix. Happy Easter everyone! I thought I'd also release this chapter early as a treat for the season! Hopefully, I'll get back to writing some of my other stories as an addition for this one tomorrow evening. So, in the meantime, let's reply to some reviews and we'll get right into it!
SORARULES23: Thanks again for the help with this chapter! Should be back to writing tomorrow evening!
olehbilenko93: As you can see, this one since the chapter was already finished before the weekend. I'm still a bit busy to be writing for any story at the moment, hopefully, I should be back to writing Avengers: War for Kingdom Hearts, X-Men Evolution: Mystery Of The Keyblade, or A Spider's Frozen Adventure II by tomorrow.
edboy4926: Thanks, I know. Good news, I was using Grammarly for these chapters so they should look way better than some of my other stories. I'll also plan to update some of my completed stories using it so hopefully, they'll look better than ever!
NaruSaku fan in Kentucky: Thank you! We do see Kairi in this chapter, she doesn't do much in this chapter I'm afraid. You'll understand why though. As for Spider-Man... he'll be in the story sooner than you think. Not this chapter though. Sora can still do summons so you'll see some familiar faces he may have summoned on his journey. So, not Jack... Genie on the other hand...
lyokoMARVELanime: Glad you enjoyed the chapter and thanks again for pointing out that I forgot to input a part in the chapter! And as we go through the story we actually will learn of the old rivalry between Thanos and the Master Of Masters. And I'm glad you enjoyed the references, you were the only one to catch on to the Princess Bride's one but your not the first to catch on the one from RWBY Chibi. I'm a little shocked no one pointed out the Prince of Egypt reference. That movie was a masterpiece. It did a great job telling the story of Mosses biblically accurate. I loved the new soundtrack for the new Broadway musical. Not quite as good as the film but I still enjoyed it. Perhaps a bit later when they reunite for real.
With that out of the way, here's the next chapter!
Chapter 3: The Search Begins
On the Land Of Departure, Riku stood face to face of the man who passed down the Keyblade to him. After a few minutes of silence, Terra finally spoke, "Well, look at you."
Riku nodded, "Thanks, I finally fulfilled my promise to you."
"You did," Terra replied, "Now there's nothing left for me to teach you." He then began walking to Riku, "You're a Keyblade Master, not to mention a great leader to those around you. You even found the strength to save your friends."
Riku frowned as he shook his head, "It's not enough."
They still had one friend in need of saving, the one who saved them all, Sora. Riku's best friend. A brother from another mother. Terra placed his hands on Riku's shoulders as he told him, "The very fact you were able to make your way here proves just how strong you are. That is why I called for you."
Riku looked to him shock before asking, "That's the reason?"
Terra looked to him with a smile on his face, "You expected more?"
"Yes," Riku admitted causing both young men to laugh.
Just then, Aqua and Ventus walked up to the two of them before the latter ran up to them, "Hey, you two, what's so funny?"
Terra turned away with his arms crossed, "It's a secret."
"Aww, come on, tell me!" Ven complained as he ran after his friend.
Aqua walked up to Riku's side as he turned to her, "Are you sure about this?"
He knew how she, Ven, and Terra volunteered to journey back into the Realm of Darkness to search for Sora, and the last time she was in there, she was remained trapped within the realm for almost twelve years, nearly falling to darkness. She turned to him as she smiled with confidence, "Yes, but don't worry. I'm not alone this time."
She then walked up to join her friends, after giving each other a nod, they each summoned their respective Keyblades. They raised Rainfell, Wayward Wind, and Earthshaker as light swirls around them, opening a portal to the Realm of Darkness. They all step forward to the portal before turning back to give one last farewell to Riku. They then pressed their shoulder armor as light brighten for them to appear in their armor much to Riku's shock. Three then proceeded to enter the Dark Realm as the portal closed behind them as Riku whispered, "May your heart be your guiding key."
One year later, at Radiant Garden, Riku went to the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee at Merlin's house. He currently was explaining the situation to some of the members that were there. Leon, Aerith, Yuffie, and Cid. They were all old friends of Sora and knew of the outside worlds so Riku didn't need to hide anything from them in order to help find their friend. Aerith finally spoke up, "But if we still remember him, then he must still be with us."
"Yes," Leon nodded in agreement, "...that would stand to reason."
"But we've been searching everywhere for Sora," Riku pointed out, "...and we haven't found a single clue. If he's really out there, don't you think we would have found something by now?"
"Hmmm..." Yuffie hummed as she began to see Riku's point.
Leon turned to Riku, "Cid's been looking into the data for over a year now. Aren't people in the castle doing the same thing? No one's found anything yet?"
"Well..." Riku answered, "It's outside their expertise."
At the same time, Cid had been continually looking into the data looking for a clue for Sora. Yuffie turned to the only programmer in the room, "Come on, Cid! Throw us a bone here, please?!"
Cid stopped typing before roaring in anger, "ARUGH! Be quiet! I'm tryin'! I'm getting close to somethin', I know it!"
He then went back to the computer to continue typing, as Yuffie groaned as she glared at him, "Cid, you are a million times worse than a broken record!"
Everyone else smiled in amusement before Leon turned back to Riku, "By the way, how are the others?"
"Well, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy are searching for clues in every past world that Sora's been to," Riku explained, "Terra, Ven, and Aqua went to the Realm of Darkness. And the Twilight Town gang are studying Roxas and Xion's memories."
Aerith then asked, "And what about Kairi?"
Riku paused before frowning, "Kairi..."
Meanwhile, in Ansem the Wise's Castle, Kairi lied asleep as Even, Ienzo, and even Ansem himself watched over the sleeping Princess of Heart as they searched the clues for Sora. Ansem turned to Kairi with great concern if she'd ever wake up. She had taken Sora's disappearance worse of all. When Sora vanished, it broke her heart. She vowed to do whatever it took to get Sora back, and while he hesitated at first, he agreed to help...
Riku finally answered Aerith's question, "She believes her heart might hold a clue about Sora. For a year, she's been sound asleep as they search her heart."
The Restoration Committee looked concerned. They knew how close those two were, and they knew if they did find a way to communicate with Sora, he wouldn't take that news well either. Aerith frowned, "So there's been no progress..."
Just then, Cid finally spoke up getting everyone's attention, "What in the- What is the world is this?!"
"What is it?" Leon wondered as everyone gathered around Cid, who continued to stare at the computer off his seat.
"This computer, the one in Twilight Town, and the one in the castle are all connected to the same network," Cid explained as he gestured to the screen, "They sent me all of their data and I merged it with all the stuff I had, and looky here!"
Everyone turned in shock to see Sora on-screen standing in a room they never saw before, "SORA?!"
"Sora's inside the computer?!" Yuffie stated in shock.
"No, no!" Cid shook his head, "That's just the data I constructed based on Sora's fightin' abilities."
Yuffie then proceeded to glare at him, "So, you gave us all a heart attack for nothing?!"
He then sat back down as he explained, "No, that group Sora was fightin'... you know... Battalion somethin'?! Well, I recreated all of their data too."
"The Real Organization XIII..." Aerith realized, "Maybe their data will lead us to where Sora is."
"Well, it crossed my mind," Cid admitted, "...but I must be better at this than I thought 'cause their data, it's so powerful, I can't access it."
Leon then stared at the data Sora before his eyes widened as he got an idea. He then turned to Cid, "Could you use Sora's data to gain access?"
Cid's eyes widened before nodding, "Oh, good idea. Worth a shot!"
Riku nodded with determination, "Yeah... let's try."
Cid then plugged in a controller as he explained, "This device here will allow us to control Sora's data. Tell him what to do."
"Oh, so it's like a video game," Yuffie realized, "All we got to do is use data Sora to beat each and every member of the Real Organization XIII..."
"...and we get access to their data!" Aerith beamed.
Riku shrugged, "How hard can it be?"
They found the answer one hour later, Riku volunteered to go first, as they gave an update to Ansem of what they were doing and check in on Kairi's condition. When they got back, the saw Riku backing away from the computer with bags under his eyes. Yuffie wondered, "So... how'd it go?"
"I'll tell you after my coma..." Riku stated before falling on the floor in defeat. Everyone turned to see a game over screen with a defeated Sora asking if they wanted to retry, continue, or exit the program.
Yuffie took the controller as she hit continue as her eyes widened in shock, "Wow! He didn't even beat one of them!"
"Guess, is going to be harder than we thought," Leon admitted.
Yuffie shook her head, "Maybe for an islander who never touched a video game in his life. Now watch a real gamer play..."
"ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" Yuffie complained a few hours later, "I TOTALLY BLOCKED THAT ATTACK!"
Cid turned to her, "I told you guys that their data was powerful!"
"If it was the real Sora," Yuffie argued, "He would have beaten them all by now!"
"Well, he's not here," Leon stated, "And whatever we like it or not, it's our only lead."
Riku rubbed his eyes as he stated, "So... we'll just have to tough it out..."
"For as long as it takes." Leon agreed.
Aerith frowned, "I've got a bad feeling about this."
Several days later, Leon decided to give it a try as he scoffed, "Heh. How hard can it be?"
One hour later, Leon is glared with his hair standing up in rage and he shoots several rounds at the screen with his gunblade as Riku deflected them with reflect.
"THIS GAME IS HELL! If I was diagnosed with a terminal illness and they said trying to beat these guys was the only cure! I'd say... GIVE ME ANOTHER TERMINAL ILLNESS JUST SO I CAN DIE FASTER!" Leon bellowed.
"Yep it's official, this data killed Happy Leon," Yuffie remarked while reading a magazine on the couch. They found Leon banging his head on the keyboard afterward...
Several days later, Yuffie tried again as she beamed, "I got 'em... I got 'em!" Everyone beamed before Sora's date had been killed again as she frowned, "Aaaaaaaaand... I lost again."
Everyone groaned again...
Soon, days became weeks and weeks became months. While they did finally manage to beat a few of them, they were still getting killed a lot. Riku nearly lost it a few times and tried to destroy the computer with his Braveheart Keyblade, "JUST DIE ALREADY!"
Everyone had to hold him back reminding him they need it to find Sora...
When they finally managed to beat eleven of them, the options to fight Master Xehanort and Xion were unlocked. Yuffie wondered, "Hey, why were those two locked away until now?"
"Don't know," Cid admitted, "Guess these ones must be so hard, the data won't let us face them until we beat the other ones."
"How?" Riku gasped, "How could they possibly harder than they already were?"
"I gotta feeling we're gonna find out," Leon rubbed his forehead...
"THEY CAN PREVENT YOU FROM HEALING PROPERLY?!" Leon snapped.
Riku added, "HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK?! THE REAL ORGANIZATION WASN'T THIS HARD! I SHOULD KNOW I WAS THERE!"
Yuffie turned to Cid, "WHY DIDN'T YOU INPUT ANY CHEAT CODES WHEN MAKING THIS THING?!"
Cid admitted, "Oh, I did."
Everyone froze at that, as Riku asked, "Wait, what?!"
Cid nodded, "Yeah, right from the get-go..."
Everyone blinked as Leon asked, "You mean to tell me... we've gone through months of this horror of a game... trying to crack it to find a way to bring back Sora... after months of UNENDING TERROR, YOU DECIDED TO TELL US NOW ABOUT THE CHEAT CODES! WHY IN THE WORLD DID YOU NOT SAY ANYTHING SOONER?!"
"Uhhhhh," Cid rubbed the back of his neck, "Cause I forgot about it..." Everyone found themselves staring at Cid as he wondered, "What?"
Leon's, Riku's, and Yuffie's eyebrows twitched as they stared at Cid for a full sixty seconds before Riku declared, "GET HIM!"
They all tackled Cid to the ground as Aerith stared in horror as she tried to stop him from them from beating up Cid but her pleads fell on deaf ears. She sighed, wishing Zack and Cloud were here right now before realizing they would only join in the frenzy. She just simply sat in the chair and tried to figure out how to activate the codes on her own.
Then Aerith used the to beat all of the organization members with one hit And then she finally beat the last two. Not only that, she managed to beat Master Xehanort and Xion with one hit. Then the screen projected the words 'YOU WON' on screen. Everyone froze in place staring in shock, Riku froze when he was about to hit Cid with a chair, Leon with a fist, and Yuffie was about to bite his leg.
They all froze in shock.
"Done." Aerith chirped and walked away.
"Oh sure! Take the easy way out why don't ya!?" Yuffie exclaimed like a ranting school girl on a blog.
"Would one of you just heal Cid," She told them politely, "Sora wouldn't want us killing each other over a game. Even if it's one that could help him."
After Riku heal him, they went to check the results. Unfortunately, despite all their hard work, it revealed that the Sora data was not updated. Everyone stared at the computer in defeat as Cid sighed, "No sign of the boy."
"What a bummer," Yuffie nodded as she rested her head behind her arms much like Sora once did, "All that hard work for nothing."
Just then, light began to sparkly in the room as an elderly woman in a blue cloak appeared in the room with a wand in her hand. Aerith gasped in shock, "Fairy Godmother!"
"Oh-ho-ho! I hope I didn't startle you," She smiled warmly.
"Not at all," Leon shook his head, "What brings you here?"
"Well dear, I was asked to come by Merlin and Yen Sid," The Fairy Godmother answered, "Now where is... Oh, Riku! Yes, Riku is his name!"
The Keyblade Master stepped forward, "Here. I'm Riku."
"Why, it's nice to meet you," The Fairy Godmother greeted the young Keyblade Master, "Now, I'd like you to tell me about the dreams you've been having, dear."
"Huh? My... dreams?" Riku asked in confusion before answering, "There's one... It was dark... and I was surrounded by tall buildings. I was looking around for Sora when I felt someone watching me from way up high."
Everyone leaned in interested in this dream of Riku's before Yuffie asked, "And?!"
Riku shrugged, "And that's all I remember."
Yuffie dropped her arms as she groaned, "Ugh!"
Cid also looked disappointed, "But what happens next?!"
"Oh, I know!" The Fairy Godmother smirked getting everyone's attention.
"Huh?!" Yuffie gasped in shock.
Leon also wondered, "Why Riku's Dream?"
"Oh, because Master Yen Sid was worried. You weren't having any luck finding Sora," The Fairy Godmother explained, "And because Riku has been in Sora's dreams before, he thought perhaps Riku may be the key. That's why he and Merlin asked me to come here and look into his dreams since of course dreams are my specialty."
"So Riku's dreams might," Aerith asked, "...hold the key?"
"Yes, dear," The Fairy Godmother nodded, "I'm sure there's something there that leads to Sora."
Aerith turned to Riku as he muttered to himself, "In my dreams...?"
The Fairy Godmother smiled as she added, "And... the other two."
Meanwhile, time had gone by for the Kingdom of Arendelle. After the events of the Enchanted Forest, Arrendellan Soldiers had finally returned to Arendelle much to the Kingdom's shock as well as that the Northudla people were now good neighbors. The King announced these were the actions of the return of their son: Prince Sora of Arendelle.
The whole Kingdom celebrated the long return of the Prince, and when the celebration was over, Elsa's training had begun. Sora had begun to teach his twin sister how to use her powers properly, without aid from any gloves. Their parents were cautious about this, but Sora reassured them that this was the best way for Elsa to finally master her powers without fear them since concealing them was clearly not working.
Because of this, all three siblings were able to hang out more like they were kids. The siblings also made good friends with the spirits. Sora even retold them some of his old adventures to them. All of Sora's stories made Anna want to explore the other worlds as well. She hoped her adventure would lead her to her Prince... who wasn't related to her in any way...
As Mattias was promoted to General, Sora was made official Captain of the Guard of Arendelle, and lead the soldiers against any Heartless or those that would attack Arendelle. However, the gates were still closed until Elsa mastered her magic much to Sora and Anna's disappointment. However, they celebrated a few good birthdays. Sora and Elsa were now 17 as of last year and Anna was 15 much to her happiness. She beamed when she was fourteen because she was finally a teenager.
Sora had made a good life in Arendelle and a good relationship with his true family, however, he missed his friends and the home he grew up with on Destiny Islands. He especially missed Kairi. He tried using the GummiPhone to try to make contact with them but... he would never get a response and he never knew why. He wanted to go out there and find them himself but with no way to travel to the other Worlds... he was stuck on the same world just like he was on the islands all those years ago...
Early in the morning, Elsa had continued her training as she jogged around the inside of the castle when Sora past her, "On your left!"
"Yeah... okay..." Elsa nodded as she watched her brother zoom past her.
She continued her early jog through the guardians now, as Sora past her again, "On your left."
Elsa kept a brave face despite the fact she got past by him for what felt like the fiftieth time now as she nodded, "Uh-huh, on my left. Got it."
As she continued her jog, she remembered how they used to be evenly matched when it came to racing... now it seemed like her brother would outrace her every single time. When she realized Sora was running up from behind she muttered to him, " Don't say it! Don't you say it!
"On your left!" Sora told her as he passed by her again.
"UGH! Come on!" Elsa complained as she began to sweat. She tried to keep up with him but only after a few seconds, she's unable to carry and stopped to rest.
Sora then ran back to check on his twin sister as he asked her, "Need a potion?"
Elsa took some breaths before answering, " I need a new set of lungs. Sora... I don't know how you do it... but you just ran like 13 miles in 30 minutes."
Sora nodded, "Yeah... I guess I got a late start."
"Oh, really? You should be ashamed of yourself," She stared at him in disbelief, "As future Queen of Arendelle, I order you to take another lap." After she looked down laughing to herself as Sora followed, she turned back to him, "Did you just take it? I assumed you just took it."
Sora laughed as he rubbed the back of his head before Elsa wondered, "Remind me again? Why do I need physical training again? When I'm just trying to figure out my powers?"
"Same reason I needed to," Sora told her, "The better fit your body in, the better you'll be in controlling your powers."
"Meaning I was fat?" Elsa deadpanned with a raised eyebrow.
"No no no!" Sora waved his hands in defense. "What I mean is to control your power is to control yourself and your body, balance, and stillness are a necessary flow."
"Good save," Elsa smirked. "Also I was joking."
"I knew that." Sora shrugged and took a seat next to her.
"Sure you did." Elsa scoffed and they shared a small laugh together.
Sora sighed watching the morning sun over the fjord. as the yellow star's rays shined over the horizon as boats and merchant ships were passing by.
"Riku and I use to race each other like this all the time, even before Kairi showed up. Only he would be the one out running me instead," Sora smiled while recalling his friends, "When Kairi came into the islands, I worked harder to actually keeping up with him before finally winning some races against them."
Elsa sighed before asking, "You really did... everything with them, did you?"
"Just about everything," Sora admitted before frowning, "Everything but our dream..."
"All because of Xehanort and whoever was pulling the both of your strings..." Elsa nodded recalling what Sora had told their parents about this Lost Master, "Just who is he? Why is he doing these things to us?"
"I still ask myself when the Time Stone revealed it to me over a year ago," Sora admitted, "Something big is coming... Anna might have delayed it but it's still coming and it's best if we're all prepared for what comes next... I really wish my friends were here though to help..."
"Have they tried calling you on that... oh, what was it called..." Elsa snapped her fingers, "GummiPhone of yours?"
"I wish..." Sora frowned pulling the said object, "I haven't heard this thing ring since the Keyblade War... I tried calling them but I haven't gotten a signal to them... and this thing is supposed to work across worlds..." He sighed before admitted, "At least that's what Chip and Dale told me. I still don't get this thing sometimes..."
"You have a better understanding of it than the rest of the world," She admitted, "I still can't imagine the kind of technology you dealt with... our world seems far behind in comparison..." She then turned to Sora, who still looked upset, "Hey, don't give up hope. Mom, Dad, Grandpabbie, and Yelena are trying to figure out how to get in contact with them."
"I know..." Sora nodded, before turning to her, "Come on, we better continue your training..."
Elsa nodded as they both got up, as Anna walked up to them, "Hey, guys? Training? Can I join again?"
"Anna... I'd like to remind you that you don't have powers," Elsa pointed out, "You don't need to train for anything."
"Aw come on!" Anna pleaded, "I wanna kick bad-guy butt if the Black Order shows up again... I can be all..." Anna then preformed some fighting stances, "Hooowaaah! Watchaaaaa!"
Elsa turned to her brother as he did nod, "I did say we all need to be prepared... She can join..."
"Oh, can I Elsa?" Anna gave her a puppy look.
Elsa sighed as she rubbed her eyes as she admitted, "I guess you've already been in some training..." She sighed in defeat, "Fine!"
"Yay!" Anna beamed as she cheered on, "Okay! Let's do this! I was born ready!"
Just then, their father walked up to their children, "Hate to cut the training short but you've been asked to join in our next meeting for the council."
Elsa sighed as Sora reassured her, "Go ahead... I'll get started with Anna... and you can join us afterward."
"Actually," Agnarr frowned, "They've asked for the both of you..."
The twins and Anna turned to their father with a confused look, "Huh?!"
Sometime later on Radiant Garden, Riku and the Restoration Committee prepared the room what the Fairy Godmother had to do as the Keyblade Master asked, "So... how does this going to work again?"
"Well, this is still in theory, because of your experience of being in Sora's dreams, you can use yours and two other connections with Sora to communicate wherever he is... " The Fairy Godmother explained, "If this works, he may give us a clue of where he is and we can update him of what's been happening."
"So, what's the catch?" Leon wondered.
"Unfortunately, we can only contact him three times," The Fairy Godmother explained, "And you'll only have up to five minutes per connection to talk with him before entering back to the world you came from."
"Can't I just enter Sora's dreams like the exam?" Riku wondered, "I might have longer contact with him that way."
She shook her head, "It's too risky... Sora's not even in the dream world... the King, Donald, and Goofy had already checked... and even if you could we could risk you too... only this time it would be more permanent.
"So, then I just gotta ask the right questions and give Sora the right information," He realized, "I'll tell him about Kairi... with any luck... that could give him the boost he needs to find his own way out wherever he is."
"That could work," Aerith nodded, "His whole journey was about finding her. He'd fight through the Realm of Darkness himself if it meant saving her..."
Yuffie nodded, "I say we give it a go..."
Cid rubbed the back of his head, "Well, I can't say I understand it all... but I guess it couldn't hurt."
The Fairy Godmother smiled as she told him, "Just relax and think about Sora..."
Riku nodded as he did what he was told, as the Fairy Godmother wondered, "Now... what were those words again..." She then face-palmed herself, "Ah, yes!" She raised her wand, "Bibidi-Bobidi-Boo!"
The spell struck Riku as he dived into the dreams of Sora and traveled to wherever Sora was...
Meanwhile, Anna waiting for her old siblings, imaging herself to be a strong hero like her brother, when said brother marched down the hallway in anger, "AND THAT'S THE ONE THING I DIDN'T MISS ABOUT THIS WORLD!"
Elsa ran after him, "Sora! Wait!"
Anna's eyes widened, "Whoa! What happened?"
She stopped before turning to Anna, "The council got into a pretty strong argument with Sora..."
"How so?" Anna asked with concern.
Elsa explained, "They want him to be king, Sora politely said that has no experience with politics and how I was the better to rule Arendelle, father agreed with Sora, and they really weren't found with a girl running the kingdom, especially with one with no interest of getting married or receiving any heirs."
"Okay," Anna nodded.
"Sora didn't quite understand what they were talking about," Elsa explained, "So, they explained to him bluntly... they want to set up an arranged marriage with him and ensure that they would rule Arendelle when our parents retire..."
Anna's eyes widened, "Wait, what? They can't do that!"
"They had picked out some candidates behind our backs... Dad was furious they went behind his back on this and to put him on the spotlight when he's only been back for over a year..." Elsa told her, "Sora tried to refuse and I even argued that Sora already had a girl but they didn't want him to marry some random island girl with no royalties to any of the neighbor kingdoms."
"But Kairi's a Princess!" Anna pointed out recalling Sora's story, before blinking, "Wait, out of curiosity, did he try to deny it?"
"For his shake, he kept quiet on that, but he was bashful on it," Elsa answered making Anna smile a little until she added, "He only raised his voice when he demanded that they don't talk about her that way, he then just left the room before he did something he'd regret. Broke the door handle on the way out. Dad's trying to handle the council while I try to calm Sora down."
Anna groaned in annoyance, "I never met Kairi and even I know they should be together... come on... let's go check on Sora..."
She nodded as they went to check on their brother when they entered Sora's room which they made homier for him, they spotted their mother calming him down as he whispered, "I miss her..."
She nodded, "I know you do..." She turned to her daughters as she reassured him, "Whatever happens, we'll get through this together... you're not going to marry some random girl you don't know... your father's straightening things out with the council as we speak... you'll marry on your own time with the right one... and we'll get you back to her soon... and your other friends."
"Yeah," Anna nodded as she recalled her brother's friends quote, "All for one, and one for all."
"We're here for you," Elsa told him, "You don't have to be King and marry someone you never met..."
"Yeah, thanks," Sora nodded, "I just wish I could talk to Riku... he'd know what to do..."
Just then a faint image of Riku appeared in the room, "Sora? Sora are you... there?" He then spotted the spooked Elsa and Anna as he awkwardly waves, "Uh... hi?"
The girls screamed, "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! A GHOST!"
"HOLY!" His mother gasped in shock.
Sora stood up from his bed as Riku tried to calm down the girls, "RIKU?!"
Riku turned to Sora as he sighed in relief, "Oh! There you are! We've been looking everywhere for you!"
"Wait," Elsa paused, "This is Riku?"
"Oh, yeah," Sora nodded, "Uh... Riku... this is going sound weird... but I'm actually with my family those are my sisters Elsa and Anna." He then gestured to his mother, "And that's my mom. My birth mom."
Riku blinked at that, "Huh?" He then asked, "You were adopted?! You're from another world?! Why didn't you ever say anything?" Sora then smiled sheepishly as Riku realized, "You forgot, didn't you?"
"Yeah..." Sora nodded, "Sorry about that."
Riku just stared at him before shaking his head in amusement, "Guess something's never change..." He then spoke up, "Listen, I don't have a lot of time but we've been looking everywhere for you... and I only got less than four minutes to speak with you to try to figure out where you are?"
"I'm on Arendelle," Sora answered, "I tried calling you guys on the GummiPhone but it can't get a signal to you guys."
Riku rubbed his chin, "That's odd... GummiPhones should work no matter where in the worlds you are..." He then asked, "Is there anything else you can tell me... anything that could help... like how you got there..."
Sora's eyes widened, this could be his chance, "Oh, right... Long story short, I ended up on the Final World where I found something called an Infinity Stone, it took me to this world when I asked it if I could go home, but I ended up here inside. It took me a while to realize this was home..."
"An Infinity Stone?" Riku wondered, "Never heard of that before..."
"Well, they're six of them," Sora explained, "They're power combined could rival the X-blade's power..."
Riku gasped in shock at this, "And... where are they now... why haven't you tried using them to get back to the Islands and let us know you're okay? And hand over these stones to Master Yen Sid for safekeeping?"
This time Anna answered that question, "Cause there's this group of bad guys after it... and to protect the worlds we separated them across to the other worlds so they could get them."
"So... you're stuck there..." Riku realized, "And as far as know these stones could be your only way out... but forces of darkness are also after the stones..."
"Yeah," Sora nodded, "That's what I figure out so far..."
"Right, I only got two more chances to contact with you before I lose contact with you forever," Riku told him, "So I'll explain the situation to Yen Sid, he might have a few ideas of how to get to you based of what you told me."
"Cool," Sora nodded, "Hey... how are the others anyway? And Kairi?"
"Well, everyone's worried about but fine," He nodded, "But Kairi..."
Sora noticed the pause as his eyes widened in concern, "What? What is it?"
"There's no easy way of putting this," He told him, "But after you vanished, she believed her heart might hold a clue about you. For over a year now, she's been sound asleep at Ansem's lab as his team searches her heart."
Sora gasped in horror, "Kairi..."
His family turned with him with concern, just then Riku began to flicker our, "Guess I'm almost out of time... I'll let you know if anything comes up..."
Sora snapped out of his worry for Kairi to quickly warn Riku, "Wait, Riku! Someone has set up the Keyblade War between us and Xehanort!"
Riku's eyes widened as he vanished, "What..."
Just then, the King walked his way to his family, "Well, I straighten things out with the council, I swear... nothing like this will ever happen..." He then paused at his family's shocked expressions as he wondered, "What happened?"
Riku then eyes snapped open as Leon wondered, "Well... did you find him..."
"Yeah..." Riku nodded, "He's fine for the moment..."
"Well, that's good..." Yuffie nodded.
Cid then turned to Riku, "But why do you look like you just learned Santa ain't real..."
Riku paused as he told them, "I just realized... I need to see Yen Sid... our fight isn't over yet."
Later that evening, the family gathered as Sora explained his recent conversation with Riku as he finished, "...I mean... I knew my friends would be concerned for me... but the actions that Kairi went through... I didn't think she just..."
His whole family turned to Sora with concern, Agnarr sighed before admitting, "Sora... as your father... I want to do everything I can to help you get to her..." However, he then told him, "As your King, I need to remind you that you still have a duty to Arendelle."
Sora stared at his father with a frown on his face, "What do you mean?"
He crossed his arms, as he frowned, "I did... settling things with the council... you don't have to get married to any of these women and I know you the role as King was not meant for you... however, due to them doing this behind my back... you have to stay and at least meet with them."
Sora's eyes widened as he asked, "How long will that take?"
"The first one due to appear in a week from now," He admitted, "Could take a few more to fully go through this small crisis."
"You expect me to wait here for weeks when I just learn Kairi had been asleep for over a year because she was trying to find me to get me back," Sora asked, "I can't just stay here... I have to get to her, and let her know I'm okay!"
"Sora..." Iduna spoke up, "We understand your pain, but this could be a serious problem for the Kingdom, and we still don't know how for you to travel among the worlds without a GummiShip or Infinity Stones..."
Sora gestured to the docks, "I will go out there and take a rowboat if I have to but I have to go to her and wake her up... I can't wait a moment longer..."
"Sora," His father raised his voice, "I'm sorry, but until we handle this... you are needed here... you're not allowed to leave the Kingdom until this matter has ended..." Sora frowned as he told him, "Now... go hang out with your sisters... we've got much to do the next few weeks..."
Sora turned away with her sisters by his sister as Anna told him, "Hey... everything's going to be okay..."
"Those weeks will fly by in no time," Elsa added, "Then we'll find you a way to Kairi..."
Sora didn't speak for the rest of the day, his mind was wrapped with what he learned from Riku. He turned to his bed as he hoped, "Maybe some sleep can make things a bit easier for me..."
He lied in his bed and closed his eyes as he drifted off into sleep... when his eyes shot wide up as his eyes lit green...
Flashes of what Sora had seen with the Time Stone flashed through Sora again... this time a bit more clearly...
He saw Kairi sound asleep in Ansem the Wise's lab, then he saw the star he met on the Final World, he then saw all six of the Infinity Stones end up on six new worlds, the then saw images of a strange woman in a fox mask somewhere in Arendelle, he then saw Maleficent and Pete with the Black Order, and finally, he saw Thanos standing before his fallen friends as he told him, "Time's running out boy... while you lie in your castle my Black Order are closing in on those Stones... nothing you do can save your friends..."
He raised the Infinity Gandulat as he smirked, "I am... inevitable."
He then snapped his fingers as the six stones began to glow with light...
Sora jumped out of his bed breathing heavily, he then turned to his old outfit hanging his closet as his eyes narrow with determination, "It's not over yet..."
A little later, the princess walked up to Sora's door, currently in the night dresses. Neither of them could sleep, they just felt so awful for their brother. Elsa wondered, "You think he's still up?"
"He just saw his best friend as a ghost, who told him his other best friend has been sleeping for over a year since he came back to us, and he has to meet with girls he doesn't know or will love a much as he does Kairi. I gotta feeling he's still up," Anna whispered, "I'm all for true love, not arranged marriages."
"Do you think he'll want to talk to us?" Elsa wondered, "We didn't exactly say anything to him since dad spoke with him."
Anna nodded, "Yeah, we're his sisters. He needs us..."
Elsa sighed before knocking on the door before opening it, "Sora? Are you... up?"
Sora smirked as he moved around in his old magic clothes, he wore on his third journey with Donald and Goofy, "Good... they still fit!" He then turned to his sisters, "Elsa? Anna?"
"Sora?" Elsa asked in shock as they entered his room, shocked he was in his old clothes, "What are you doing?"
"I'm going find Kairi," Sora told them much to their shock.
Elsa was the first to speak, "Okay... let's be rational here. Dad already told you can't go until you meet with the princesses."
"I know... but I still have plenty of time before the first one comes," Sora explained, "I'll be back by then with Kairi and my friends by my side."
"Sora..." Elsa shook her head, "We've been looking into this for over a year... what makes you think you can figure this out within a week and be back before the first one shows up?"
"I've done worse in about that amount of time, " Sora admitted, "I'll find a way."
Elsa shook her head, "Sora... this plan is completely insane... why not just wait until after you meet the Princesses?"
"Because everyone might be dead by then," Sora answered shocking the girls.
They turned to each other before Anna asked, "What do you mean?"
Sora turned to them and explained, "Remember, when I touch the Time Stone... and I saw visions into both the past and the future..."
"You mean the one with the Lost Master and how he arranged the Keyblade War between you and Xehanort?" Elsa wondered, "And how you knew trillions would die if the Black Order got to the Infinity Stones before Anna did?"
"Yeah, I think I still have somewhat of a connection to the Time Stone," Sora admitted, "We only delayed them and they're closing in on the Stones for Thanos."
"Thanos?" Anna wondered, "Who's that?"
"In my vision, I saw the Mad Titan who founded the Black Order. As a matter of fact, he raised them. He's a tall muscular, fully armored alien with purple skin. He wielded all of the stones' power and wiped out half of all life across the universe." Sora explained in full detail. "Once that happens. It could be anybody we know that will die right in front of us by fading from existence."
Elsa and Anna gasped at the horrific details.
"My thoughts exactly, I don't care what the council says. They may run Arendelle like a three-ring government circus but contrary to their beliefs, they're not the center of the universe." Sora said with a firm and serious tone, "Someone needs to stop him, I need to get to all six of the Infinity Stones before they do, find a way back to my friends, and hand them over to Master Yen Sid so he can never get to them."
"Still... this... this is too much for you to handle," Elsa pointed out, "You don't even have Donald and Goofy by your side, and well... handling this by yourself is complete suicide!" She turned to her little sister, "Anna, help me out here! Tell him how suicidal this is?"
Anna cleared her voice as she told her brother, "It's totally preposterous, traversing the entire worlds on a quest to save the universe alone."
Elsa nodded with agreement, "Now, at last, we hear some sense."
Then Anna beamed, "That's why I'm going with you!"
Elsa turned to her little sister in disbelief, "ANNA!"
Sora brightened up a bit as Anna went to a draw a pulled out a pen and paper, "Okay, we'll need a ship, clothes, food, maybe additional crew..."
"Anna," Elsa continued staring at her sister in disbelief, "You're not serious?"
"Oh, but I am," Anna beamed as she turned to her older sister, "All my life, I've been waiting for an opportunity like this, to leave this castle to see what's outside the gates, beyond Arendelle, and here it is screaming!" Anna then began dancing cheering herself, "Go, Anna! Go, Anna! Go, Anna! Go..."
"Okay, okay," Elsa groaned, "You're both have lost your mind!"
"Look, Elsa, I know you're afraid of losing me or Anna and I don't blame you given what happened back then," Sora told her in a calm and serious voice, "But I've done things on my own before. I slew a thousand heartless by myself. I saved Kairi by my self. I brought everyone back in the sleepy worlds by myself. You're my sister, and I'll always love you, but Kairi means the world to me and I'm going to save her, with or without your help."
"But it would be a heck of a lot easier with your help," Sora added to Elsa and Anna.
Anna smiled as she nodded, "You know I'm in... but Elsa..." She turned to her older sister, "This could also you best chance to finally master your powers... meet people like you like Hercules, Merlin, Rapunzel, Maui, Mickey, Yen Sid, and all the others Sora had told you about and ones we don't even know about... you could be with people who are just like you... but you'll never find out if you shut yourself out from everyone and everything..."
Sora told her, "It's okay, Anna, she doesn't have to go if she doesn't want to... we can handle this ourselves..."
Anna turned to him confused, "We can?" She then noticed his look just saying to go with it, "Oh! We can!"
"We better go before everyone notices we're gone..." Sora told her as they began to leave Elsa by herself.
Anna turned to her, "Okay... what are you thinking?"
"Elsa just needs some time to think about this opportunity to herself," Sora told her, "Once she realizes that this is what she really wants, she'll come."
"I still think we're leaving to soon..." Anna whispered.
Sora pointed out, "That's why we're walking slowly..."
Anna beamed as she smiled, "Ah..."
Elsa to her siblings before turning to the window as music started to play as she went deep into thought. How the call to adventure had grown ever since Sora told them of his journey to the worlds. She sang to her desires, "I can hear you~ but I won't! Some look for troube~ while others don't! There's a thousand reasons I should go about my day... and ignore these whispers which I wish would go away~ Whoa!"
"Whoa~ You're not a voice!" Elsa declared, "You're just a ringing in my ear!"
"And if I heard you, which I don't, I'm spoken for I fear~" Elsa sang as she turned to the portrait of the royal family hung in Sora's room, "Everyone is safer if I'm here within these walls! I'm sorry, my deepest dreams, but I'm blocking out your calls~!"
"I've had my adventure!" Elsa recalling their trip to the Enchanted Forest, "I don't need something new! I am afraid of what I'm risking if I follow you~"
Then Elsa stepped out of a balcony singing as her voice echoed like a pro at the Grammys, "Into the Unknooown~! Into the unknoooown~ Into the UNKNOOOOOOOOOWN~!"
Elsa turned away trying to block out the call to adventure, as she asked her herself, "What do I want? 'Cause this has been keeping me awake~ Are my dreams to distract me so I make a big mistake?" She then looked to herself as she wondered, "Or are there really people just like me? Who knows deep down, I'm not where I'm meant to be~"
"Every day's a little harder as I feel my power grow~" Elsa sang as her powers swirled around her lighting up in the darkness, "Don't you know there's part of me that longs to go~"
Elsa magic then made replicas of her image of her brother and sister chasing the Infinity Stones, "Into the Unknooown~! Into the Unknoooown~ Into the UNKNOOOOOOOOOWN!~"
"Whooooooooa!" Elsa sang as she spread her magic all around her, "Are you out there? Do you know me? Can you feel me? Can you show me~?"
"Ah ah oh oh!" Elsa sang as images of Sora's friends danced around her.
"Ah ah oh oh!"
Elsa then beamed as an image of a boy flying around her on his Keyblade as the Snow Queen sang, "Ah ah oh oh!"
"Ah ah oh oh!"
"Oh oh oh oh!" The image then became two images of Riku and Kairi before turning into images of Donald and Goofy as Elsa started to sing with the voice of her dreams, "Oh oh oh oh! Oh oh oh oh! Oh oh oh oh! Oh oh oh oh! Oh oh oh oh!"
Elsa watched as the magic fell past her. She sang as she chased after it, "Where are you going? Don't leave me alone~ How I follow you~"
Then Elsa stands on the edge of Sora's bedroom window as she sang, "Intoooo THEEEE UNKOOOOOOOOOOWN~?!"
Sora and Anna walked down the hallway as Anna was beginning to lose faith as Sora counted down, "And three, two, one..."
"Wait!" Elsa called out to them, "I'm coming too!"
Anna turned around and beamed, "You will!" She then tried to play it cool, "I mean sure! We'll let you tag along!"
Elsa told them, "We just have one problem... mom and dad will freak if we snuck outside of the gates... and they'll know something's up if they realize we just vanished off the face of the Earth..."
Anna told them, "Relax... I have an idea..."
"Why does that make me nervous?" Elsa whispered to herself hearing her sister say that.
Later on, Anna just taped a paper sigh on Sora's door, "Deep sibling bonding events! Do not disturb for any circumstances! For 1 week!"
Sora and Elsa stared at the sign in confusion, before the latter wondered, "Uh... what?"
"Anna," Sora asked, "How is this a good idea?"
Anna answered happy, "Because no one will disturb us if we thought we were spending some quality time after what Sora been through. Not the servants or mom and dad!"
"Aren't they going to wonder why we're really quiet?" Elsa wondered.
Anna then opened the door to show them, "That's why I gathered some help!" Sora and Elsa looked inside to see the window open as Bruni and Gale in the room. Anna crossed her arms with confidence, "They'll make noise so they think we're actually in there and we'll be back before anyone knows the difference."
Sora and Elsa stared in disbelief at this plan, the former clutched his head, "Oh... this never going to work!"
"Ah, come on, they've got this," Anna reassured him before turning to the two spirts, "Right, guys!" Buri gave a little happy noise as Gale swirled around them, Anna crossed her arms, "See?"
"Oh, okay..." Elsa crossed her arms, "Last I checked they can't talk. What will happen if someone tries to talk to us and we're not there?"
Anna then gestured to her sign, "Hence the sign!"
The three siblings were quiet for a few seconds, before Sora spoke up, "Just in case..."
Sora closed the door and pointed his Keyblade at the door. Light swirled around the tip of the blade as the beam of light locked the door shut, "That might make things more believable that we want privacy... we just got to be back before my first possible wife will be."
"And with a little help from God," Anna beamed, "And some good old fashion adventure, it'll be Kairi that you marry!"
Sora blush in embarrassment as Elsa sighed and shook her head, "Let's just get our things, get dressed, and sneak out of the castle before someone catches on what we're doing..."
The three then head off down the hallway quietly...
They escaped the castle, once the princesses were fully dressed, using one of the emergy exits their father showed Elsa in case of invasion. Sora looked around before telling his sisters, "We're clear!"
They rushed off to the docks as Elsa wondered, "So... how exactly are we going to get to these other worlds... we can't think Riku and the others will know where to find Arendelle, so we know we're on our own."
"Can't we just ask Grandpabbie for help?" Anna wondered.
"Two problems with that," Elsa pointed out, "One, if he knew he would have told our parents a long time ago and two, he'll wonder what we're doing there without our parents and let them know what we're planning."
"Oooooh, right," Anna's eyes widened in realization before turning to her brother, "So, now what?"
Sora thought for a minute before he noticed a small fortuneteller's house with the sign saying they were open. What Sora also noticed as a picture of a fox. Sora then remembered the flashes revealed to him from the Time Stone, "In there..."
They turned to Sora in confusion, as Elsa wondered, "A fortuneteller? You know they just make these things up, right? How's that help us?"
"It's something the Time Stone revealed to me," Sora told them. They decided not to argue with him any further as they entered the building...
"Okay but...What if it was a different fox?" Elsa pointed out.
"It wouldn't hurt to check, Elsa," Anna stated.
Elsa sighed. "Alright then. Let's follow Sora's lead on this." She gave in. "I just hope she doesn't ask for us to cut our fingers.
As the three siblings enter the building, as a young woman sat by a table with a crystal ball as a fox mask covered her face, "Good morning, young wonders... I was just opening up... so, you want to hear your fortune?"
Sora walked up ahead of his sisters, "I was told you could help us..."
She nodded, "Of course..." She then wondered, "Would you like me to read your palm?"
Sora then offered his hand as she took and slightly touched it as she sensed something she hadn't sensed in a long time and yanked back, "You're... you're a Keyblade Wielder!"
Sora, Elsa, and Anna looked shocked while the woman reassured them, "It's alright..." She pushed the crystal ball aside, "No tricks..."
She outstretched her hand as a Keyblade appeared in her hand shocking the two young Princesses and one hero. She put it away as she wondered, "So, which Union were you from? I don't recall you being apart of my Dandelions... were you a latecomer?"
Sora turned in confusion, "What Union? Dandelions?"
"I see... you're from the outside," She realized before introducing herself, "My name is Ava... tell me... how did you know to come to me?"
"I'm Sora and I had a dream. A vision I had of a fox gave me a clue, to come here." Sora answered in small details.
"Interesting... What else was in this vision you had?" Ava asked the boy.
Sora crossed his arms, "Before I tell you anything else... what did you mean when you said I'm from the outside..."
"Oh, of course," She nodded, "Ages ago, in the age of Fairy Tales, I learned that there would be a war... a war that would consume everything in darkness... My friends and I were recruited by our Master to become Keyblade Wielders. We hoped we could put an end to the war before it could begin..."
"The Keyblade War," Sora realized.
She nodded, "Yes, our master gave us different roles... roles that would ensure that would keep order on things in case he ever disappeared..."
"This master," Elsa wondered, "Did he have a name?"
She shook her head, "If he did, he never told us... He was simply called the Master of Masters." She continued, "We were also were given a copy of the Book of Prophecies... we thought if we knew everything the Master knew... we could figure out how to save the world. And everyone on it."
"What was your role?" Sora wondered.
"My role was to form a group of special Keyblade Wielders," She explained, "Dandelions who would move on to this world to escape the Keyblade War when it would come so that the worlds would have defenders to protect the worlds from the darkness."
"This world?" Anna wondered.
"I'll explain in a moment," She continued, "However, we learned... in the Book of Prophecies... that there was a traitor was among us... we began to turn on each other... but I couldn't believe anyone could be the traitor until I ran into the Master's first student... Luxu..."
"Was he the real traitor?" Anna asked getting interested in the story.
"Yes, I believe he was," Ava told her, "I confronted him for answers... and when I thought I gathered enough evidence... I engaged him but doing so only started the war... I lost track of him as he stayed clear of the fighting carrying the Master's Keyblade and a Black Box...
Sora gasped as he muttered to himself, "Black Box..." He recalled how both Maleficent and the Organization wanted that box and Luxord said that it contained hope. He then asked, "Then what happened?"
"Well, I remembered a lot of fight... then everything blinked out and I appeared here along with the other surviving worlds..." She concluded.
Elsa blinked, "Surviving... worlds?"
"Don't you see?" Ava stated, "We and all the worlds are trapped here... inside the box..."
The siblings gasped, "WHAT?!"
"We're..." Anna blinked, "...inside a box? For how long?"
"Since the war ended... and from what I understand, they have been other worlds trapped in here even before the war... it's where my Dandelions went to when the worlds fell..." She explained.
Elsa wondering, "How is this even possible?"
"It took me a while to understand," She started, "But I think the Master constructed the Box with the true X-blade along with Six Stones of power which he also..."
"...placed inside the box." Sora realized, "So... that explains why I can't contact the other worlds... the ones outside the box..."
"Tell me," She wondered, "How did you come to be here?"
"Well, actually, I was born here but someone took me and brought me outside the box," Sora explained, "He used me and another Keyblade Wielder named Xehanort to start another Keyblade War. I stopped it but a friend of mine got badly hurt so I used the Power of Waking to save her, and that's how I ended up here."
Ava was horrified to learn that someone would want to start another Keyblade War but relieved when she heard that this boy stopped it and was even able to save his friend. Ava asked Sora, "You've been out there... fighting for the light. What are those worlds like? Is it anything like this one? I resemblance that life went on for those other people?"
Ava wanted to know if anything good came out for those other scattered worlds. That she and her brothers and sisters' sacrifices were not in vain. Sora crossed his arms, "Well... before I came here... everything seemed at peace but... I came into contact with the Time Stone... whoever's pulling the strings of that Keyblade War isn't giving up just yet... this time... I think he's using someone named Thanos and the Infinity Stones..."
She nodded, "I see... Then we must send you back to stop Thanos and the man behind the strings..."
"But I can't just leave these worlds just trapped in this box... I have family here." Sora explained.
She nodded, "You're right. These worlds... they've been trapped in the Box for so long... they must be set free as well..." She turned to Sora, "And to do that... you'll need all six Infinity Stones."
"Yeah, but wouldn't we need a Stone to go and retrieve a stone? It's not like one is one this world right?" Anna commented on the obvious.
"Not necessarily," Ava walked up to Sora, "At one time, all six stones were here but over a year ago... someone used the Space Stone to send them to other worlds that are also trapped within the box... so, due to the worlds being trapped here, could create a... trail of sorts... not easy to get to for the common man... but not for you."
"What do you mean?" Sora wondered.
"Tell me," Ava asked, "How did you travel to the other worlds before you came here?"
"Well... On my first adventure, I would use a GummiShip and follow the paths to other worlds but then when the barriers of those worlds were repaired when I defeated Ansem," Sora explained in detail, "On my second adventure though, I would follow the guidance of my heart, to find magical Gateways and open them with my Keyblade, each time my friends and I saved a world from the Heartless."
She then knelt down to him and examined him, "Hmmm... I see... and it would appear you still have that power, it's just been locked away... Now, let's see if I can't..." She placed a finger on his heart, as a small glimmer of light shined for a moment before vanishing, "There. That should do it!"
Anna leaned on the table as she wondered as she examined the crystal ball, "So... how do we know it worked?"
Suddenly, a flash of light shined around the Crystal Ball as it started floating upwards much to Anna and Elsa's shock. Sora was taken back but quickly resummoned his Keyblade and held it out. As the light of the Crystal Ball shined a crown of light appeared under Sora's feet. The wind picked up as he entered a pinky cloudy area just then the light of the ball shot up revealing a Keyhole in the sky. Sora twirled around his Keyblade before aiming it at the Keyhole. Light swirled around the Keyblade before shooting a beam of light unlocking the Gateway.
Sora then appeared back with Ava and his sisters. Elsa wondered, "What was that?"
"The Gateway... to the first Infinity Stone..." Sora realized, "It's been open, hasn't it?"
"Yes," Ava nodded, "The pathway should be visible to you even on to this world... but you'll still need a vessel to get you there safely..." She continued, "The ships at the docks should work, but I suggest once you find something that can fly... you take it..."
"I...Thanks but. I don't think Arendelle has caught up with enough modern tech to make their ships to fly." Sora admitted rubbing the back of his head before he looked at his sisters, "No offense."
"None taken," Elsa shrugged.
"Yep, I mean it's your way home anyways." Anna shrugged and pointed out.
Sora bit his tongue before he muttered, "Good point." He then turned back to Ava, "So, once we find the next Infinity Stone another Gateway will open right..."
"Yes," She nodded before warning them, "But you won't be the only ones after the stones..."
"Wait, so have you heard of Thanos before?" Anna asked.
"Only rumors," Ava admitted, "His Black Order on the other hand... they've killed most of my Dandelions looking for the Stones for Thanos... if they're any survivors it's likely they're in hiding... I suggest you watch out for them too..." She then added, "But if you want to know more about Thanos find a man named Thane... he can provide you some answers about the Mad Titan..."
"Thane... got it." Sora nodded, "Anything else we should know?"
"Yes," She nodded, "The Black Order won't be the only ones after the Stones. Forces of Darkness may have already calmed some of the Stones." She added, "I suggest also gathering a small trustworthy crew... your visions with the Time Stone may be helpful... I'll try to help you by finding any Keybladers left to help you fight against whoever pulled the strings of the Last Keyblade... after that, all I can say is... may your heart be your guiding key..."
As soon as they left, Anna nodded, "Okay... now that's out of the way... what do we do now? Buy a ship?"
"Already done..." Sora smiled as they turned to him shocked, "I may have paid for a ship to use one day... just never thought it be for this..."
"Okay..." Elsa nodded, "Now... I guess we need a few more supplies... and some trustworthy crew..."
They head to the docks and spotted a store that was open which Elsa read, "Wandering Oaken's Sail Travel..."
Then Anna spotted a small sign, "Oooh! And Sauna!"
"I mean you could use a tan El. You've been looking pale lately." Sora teased Elsa playfully using his nickname for her.
Elsa gave him an annoyed look while Anna giggled. Elsa deadpanned, "If I had a coin for every one of your lame ice jokes, it would be enough for whoever runs this shop to retire."
"By 'lame' you mean 'cool,' right?" Anna smirked with another ice pun.
"Don't encourage him, Anna." Elsa groaned in annoyance.
Once they stepped in they were met with a friendly face at the front desk with a great inventory on the shelves. Oaken, the owner, greeted from behind the front counter, "Yoo Hoo! Big summer blowout! Half off swimming suits, clogs, and a sum balm of my own invention, ya?!"
"Oh, great!" Anna smiled politely, "For now, do you have any supplies for you know a trip to... unknown countries and lands to Arendelle?"
"Oh, that would be right next to our winter department." They turned to see as shock full of supplies for a long trip next to a very little to none winter department.
Elsa muttered, "Good thing it's not Winter, right now..."
"I'll get everything we need..." Sora told them, "You two stay by the counter and do try to stay out of trouble."
Anna crossed her arms as she reassured him, "Trouble? Who else but us gets supplies this early in the morning?"
Just then, they spotted a strong blonde enter the shop as Oaken answered, "You three and this fellow!" He then greeted him, "Yoo Hoo! Big summer blowout!"
Elsa turned to her sister, "You just had to say something..."
Anna shrugged as they tried to act casual, even as the newcomer walked up to the counter, standing directly before Anna. She stared at him awkwardly, as Elsa slowly reached to remove her gloves in case he was trouble before they heard the stranger speaks to Anna, "Carrots."
The Princesses stared at him in confusion. What was he talking about? He clarified in annoyance, "Behind you."
Anna turned around to see a bunch of carrots behind them under the counter.
"Oh, right. Excuse me." Anna apologized as she made way for him to grab the vegetables and place them on the counter. Elsa eased up a little with that.
"A real howler this time of year," Oaken commented to him, "So, where are you off to today?"
He walked up to the Winter department as he gathered what little supplies they hand as he answered, "The North Mountain."
"The North Mountian," Elsa repeated to herself. It seemed like a safe place to go if her secret ever got out.
Sora carried the supplies they need as he walked up to them, "Got what we need..." He then turned to the other guy in the room, "Who's this guy?"
"Another customer," Anna whispered, "He's going to the North Mountain."
Just then, Sora had flashes in his head of this man and his reindeer traveling alongside them. Sora blinked as he came back to the present, as Elsa wondered, "What's the matter?"
Sora told them, "I'll explain later..."
They watched the teenager place the supplies on the counter as Oaken told him, "That'll be forty."
"Forty?" The young man asked in shock. "No! Ten!"
"Oh no, that won't do," Oaken replied. "You see, this is from my winter stock when the supply and demand have a big problem."
"You want to talk about the supply and demand problem? I sell ice for a living." The conversation was interrupted by a chuckling Anna.
"Wow! That should be a difficult business to be in right now. I mean..." She cut herself off when she saw the stranger narrowing his eyes at her, making her feel awkward, "That's unfortunate."
"Still forty. But as a bonus, you can use Oaken's sauna." He turned around and waved into the direction of the said sauna, which a family of five was currently using, "Woo Hoo! Hi family!"
The family waved back, "Woo Hoo!"
"Ten's all I got. Help me out." The iceman pleaded.
"Okay," Oaken pushed the carrots in front of him and pulled the rope and pickaxe away, "You can have this for ten, but no more."
"Just one question," Sora turned to the teenager slightly younger than both him and Elsa, "Have you ever gone sailing before?"
He turned to them in annoyance, "From time to time, Now back up, while I deal with this crook here!"
However, their attention soon turned to Oaken, as he slowly stood up from his chair, revealing his actually quite frightening size. Sora, Elsa, and Anna backed away, not wishing to be on the receiving end of his wrath because he sure wasn't happy with the term the blond stranger used on him, "What did you call me?"
Kristoff was carried outside by Oaken and threw him out of his store, "Bye Bye!"
Sven came up walking to Kristoff sniffing for carrots. Kristoff looked to his best friend, "No Sven, I didn't get the carrots." The reindeer frowned as Kristoff smiled as he gestured behind him, "But I did find us a place to stay for the night and it's free." Sven turned behind to the shack behind him...
Sora, Elsa, and Anna watched as Oaken returned to the counter, still a little shocked at what happened.
"I apologize for this atrocity," Oaken said as he sat back behind the counter, "So, just the trip supplies, ya?"
Sora thought for a moment before Elsa wondered, "What are you thinking?"
He thought for a few more seconds before deciding, "We'll also take what that man is getting..."
Anna and Elsa turned to him in shock, "What?"
Sora turned to his sisters, "I explain once we're outside."
Once, the supplies had been paid for, Sora carried supplies as Anna wondered, "So... why did you buy those supplies for that man?"
Elsa then realized, "You thinking of hiring him for our crew, aren't you?"
"I'm not just thinking it," Sora admitted, "I'm doing it."
"Any reason why do we need this mountain man?" Anna wondered.
Sora simply answered, "Time Stone."
The sisters sighed, "Of course..."
Anna then wondered, "What makes you think we can trust him with all of..." She waved to the whole situation they were in, "...this?"
Sora just smiled as he told them, "I'm a pretty good judge of character... just trust me on this."
Anna turned to Elsa as she shrugged, "Well... he's never let me down before."
Inside the old barn, Kristoff was lying down on a bale of hay and playing his lute while Sven rested right by him as he sang, "Reindeers are better than people... Sven, don't you think that's true?"
He then changed his voice as he sang for the reindeer as Sven nodded his part, "Yeah, people will beat you and curse you and cheat you... Every one of them's bad, except you..."
"Aw, thanks buddy," Kristoff chuckled and scratched Sven's head before once again singing, "But people smell better than reindeers... Sven, don't you think I'm right?"
Kristoff then changed his voice again as Sven nodded, "That's once again true, for all except you."
"You got me," Kristoff shrugged, "Let's call it a night..."
"Goodnight~" Kristoff sang for Sven as they both prepared to rest as Kristoff went back to his normal voice, "Don't let the frostbite bite~"
Just when they were about to drift off into sleep, Anna with Sora and Elsa opened the door to the barn, as she commented, "Nice duet."
Kristoff gasped in shock until he realized who it was. Kristoff sighed in relief, "It's only you three. What do you want?"
"Look we need your help," Sora stated, "You've said you've been out sailing before right?"
"From time to time," Kristoff admitted, "It's really not my profession."
"Well, as of this evening..." Before turning to his sisters, "How long has since we left home..."
They hummed before Elsa admitted, "About an hour ago more or less..."
Anna nodded, "Yeah, sounds about right..."
Sora turned back to Kristoff, "Okay, this early in the morning, we're going out sailing away from Arendelle and we need an extra set of hands... we wanted to hire you to join this crew..."
"Thanks but no thanks... my hands are tied with my ice business," Kristoff leaned back down, "And I don't sell with total strangers."
"Let us rephrase us," Anna told him as she threw his winter supplies in his lap much to his shock, "Join our crew... please..."
Kristoff observed his stuff he was planning to buy before turning to the three royals as Elsa told him, "Look... there's more going on than you realize... the fate of the world is at stake and we could really use your help."
"And if we succeed," Sora told him, "We'll pay three times whatever you get from you ice business."
Kristoff sighed, it sounded tempting to him. Even Sven shrugged thinking it might be a good idea.
"What kind of voyage is this exactly? It better not be one of those treasure hunts that ends with us losing the wealth, and settling with that lousy cliché moral of friendship being true wealth is it?" Kristoff deadpanned.
"While that is true," Sora pointed out, "It's not exactly that, we'll go into more detail on the ship." He hands him a note with the location of the ship, "This is where my ship is. You can bring the Reindeer if you like."
Kristoff thought for a moment before telling them, "We leave at dawn... And you forgot the carrots for Sven."
Suddenly a bag of carrots hit him in the face as the Princess quickly apologized, "Oops! Sorry! Sorry! I didn't mean..." She then stopped as she cleared her voice, "We leave now... right now..." Sora, Elsa, and Anna turned away as Kristoff shared a carrot with Sven. Elsa turned to her twin, "You sure about this?"
"Trust me," Sora nodded, "He'll prove to be a good friend. Even if he doesn't know it yet."
Anna turned to her brother, "So... where is your ship?"
Sora simply smirked...
The moment Sora revealed the ship he had paid for Anna and Elsa stared at its beauty. Anna beamed, "Whoa! This ship is amazing!"
Elsa turned to her brother in shock, "How were you able to pay for this behind our parents' backs..."
"You'd be surprised how well of a living you make destroying Heartless are..." Sora smiled, "Plus I had a part-time job at the best restaurant in Twilight Town."
"Really? I never pegged you as a chef." Anna remarked.
"Actually, I was more of an assistant, with puppet strings used as training wheels for cooking but you'd be surprised what I've learned to cook eventually," Sora admitted.
Elsa looked around before wondering, "So... where's the Captain?"
"You're looking at him," Sora smirked.
Once, again they turned to their brother in shock as Anna gasped, "You know how to sail a ship?! Who taught you that?"
"Jack Sparrow," Sora answered before pausing, "Actually, he prefers Captain Jack Sparrow."
"Who's he?" Elsa wondered.
Sora answered, "He's a pirate." They turned to Sora in shock that he actually worked with pirates, he reassured them, "Jack's not like most pirates you've heard of. Mostly. Unlike most, he does have honor, has some good in him, and actually fought off against the Heartless and the Organization."
"And he taught you how to sail a ship?" Elsa asked getting interested.
"What other kinds of pirates did you fight? We're they scary?" Anna added like a fascinated child.
"Well, I fought Jack's old first mate Barbossa, The former Captain of the Flying Dutchmen: Davey Jones, who controlled the Kraken, and an old codfish named Captain Hook." Sora smiled, "Those were good times..."
Just then, Kristoff and Sven joined them as Sora smiled, "Glad you could join us."
"Well, if what you're saying about the payday and the fact that it's supposed to be for a good cause," Kristoff started, "It better be worth it."
"It will," Sora reassured him, "Now, everyone aboard... we'll be taking off shortly..."
As everyone walked onto the ship, Kristoff wondered, "Wait... this it? Just the five of us? How are the five of us going to prep a ship this early in the morning?"
Sora just smirked, "You just let me worry about that."
Kristoff looked around and noticed the three were only ones on board behinds himself and Sven.
"Shouldn't a ship have a large number of crew members before taking off?" Kristoff inquired while he gave a carrot for Sven to bite before he took a bite afterward.
He then spoke for Sven, "I don't know... he seems kinda special..."
"Well, let's hope special doesn't get us all killed." Kristoff hoped as they climb on board as Anna commented, "What is with guys speaking for their reindeer?"
"Something tells me," Elsa replied, "That he and Ryder would get along just fine."
Sora took the wheel as he told everyone, "HOLD ON!"
He summoned his Keyblade and raised it high using his magic to get the ship ready to sail in seconds much to everyone's shock as Anna muttered, "I love magic..."
"Okay," Kristoff's jaw dropped, "This guy can use a Keyblade... I did not see that coming..."
Elsa and Anna's eyes widened at what they just heard. The former turned to Kristoff in shock, "Wait. You know about Keyblades?"
Kristoff rubbed the back of his head, "Long story, but my friends know quite a bit about magic and Keyblades. They also kinda love experts."
"You have friends who are love expert?" Anna raised an eyebrow.
Kristoff crossed his arms as he stated, "It's kinda a long story, but can we move on to what exactly are we doing?"
The sisters turned to each other before turning to Sora, who gave them a nod. They then turned back to Kristoff and Sven before Anna told them, "You may wanna sit down... it's a little hard to believe..."
Earlier, Thanos constructed the device he promised to Maleficent with the parts they gathered for him. Pete wondered as he stared at the working Titan in his cell, "You sure this thing is gonna work?"
"It will," Thanos promised them, "But it still needs one thing..."
"And that is?" Maleficent raised an eyebrow.
Thanos explained, "The device will only work in the hands of a Keyblade Wielder... so you'll need one in order to enter the box..."
"Well... that's easier said than done," Pete told him, "Ever since the Key-brat vanished... the rest of the Keyblades are sticking closer together..."
"Fortunately, Xehanort was kind enough to acquire us one," Maleficent smirked as he staff began to glow as a faint glimmer of a seeker of darkness hovered nearby, "While, the other members returned to where the came from... this one stayed in the present as he has ties to the hearts of not one but two Keyblade Wielders..."
Pete's eyes widened as he pulled out a replica with a black coat on it, "Oh! So that's why you had me swipe this thing!"
Maleficent grinned as she placed the dark heart into the replica as darkness swarmed around it turning into a form of Keyblade Wielder of Darkness, and Master of the Unversed... Vanitas. He picked himself off the ground as he wondered, "What is all of this?"
He turned to Maleficent before wondered, "What? Did the old man have one last trick up his sleeve?"
"No... Xehanort met his end to the hands of the wretched boy," Maleficent explained, "We need you for a completely different matter enterally... we need..."
He raised his hand, "Stop right there... I'm in."
Peter was shocked, "Huh? Just like that?"
"Just like that," Vanitas nodded, "I've been wanting a rematch with my dear brothers... just fill me in on what we're doing?"
Maleficent smirked, "Very well... we need your help getting to an exclusive amount of worlds which contain Stones which will allow us to rule all worlds..."
He nodded before gesturing to Thanos, "Okay... and who's gruesome here?"
"A business partner you could say..." Thanos answered with the completed device in his hands, "The device is complete..." Thanos then threw the device to Vanitas who caught it with one hand as the Mad Titan explained, "Just place the device on your Keyblade... and it shall take you to inside the Box where my Black Order are... just remember, once inside, you cannot leave without the all of the Infinity Stones."
"No pressure then..." Vanitas muttered as he summoned his Void Gear Keyblade, and placed the device on there. He then turned to Maleficent and Pete, "So... we ready to go?"
"Now, hold on," Pete told them, "How will the Black Order know we're on there side?"
"I will tell them once you arrive," Thanos told them, "Now, give me the Stones and I'll keep my end of the bargain."
"Very well then," Maleficent nodded before turning to Vanitas, "Shall you do the honors?"
Vanitas simply nodded as he used his Keyblade to charge the device. Dark electricity sparked off both the device and the Keyblade before light swirled around it charged by the dark power opening a dark portal. Thanos smirked as he told the three villains, "The contents of the box lie just through that portal..."
"Excellent," Maleficent grinned before turning to Pete and Vanitas, "Come. Let's find these stones. Soon all the worlds will be mine!"
She then stepped inside the portal with Vanitas, Pete hesitated at first but he didn't want to be left alone with Thanos and quickly ran in after them just as the portal closed. Thanos was left alone as he grinned, "You may have your champions, 'Master of Masters,' and now I have mine... I'm looking forward to our rematch, only this time... You won't be so lucky."
Meanwhile, Luxu and the Foretellers stared at the Black Box. He had spent the last year catching up of what had happened the past eons. They were intrigued to learn of the Keyblade Wielder who saved the worlds from the last Keyblade War. He then finally revealed his role to them as well of the contents of the box. Ira asked, "So... the Master... he's really in there?"
"That's right..." Xigbar nodded, "My role was to make sure that I witnessed the flow of time till this moment... then and only then we could bring our dear mentor back..."
"Then why haven't you done so already?!" Aced demanded, "He's been trapped in there long enough as it is!"
"That's the thing now," Luxu shook his head, "It's not as easy as it looks."
"What do you mean," Invi wondered, "What can't you open it?"
"The box can only be opened two ways," Xigbar explained, "The X-Blade or Six Stones of Infinite Power."
"The Infinity Stones?!" Ira gasped, "I thought they were just a myth!"
"As if! They're real alright," Luxu nodded, "They're as real as Santa Claus. The Master had them sealed them away along with the surviving worlds from the Keyblade War all trapped within this box. Funny how things turned out."
"So, now what?" Ira asked, "I want to free the Master but I don't want to risk another war just to free him."
"Well, you're in luck..." Xigbar smirked, "The Master made us a short cut just for this situation... our Keyblades can get us inside and we get the Stones to free him ourselves... but I think it's fair to warn you... we won't be the only one after them."
"Then we must find them and retrieve them before anyone else does," Invi stated, "The world has been messed up enough as it already is."
Xigbar then summoned his Keyblade, "So... what are we waiting for?"
One by one, each of the Foretellers summoned the Keyblades and at the tips of their blades touch each other as they all stated, "May our hearts be our guiding key!"
Light swirled around the blades as they too vanished inside of the box as Laybrith was created to protect the box...
And that will conclude the chapter and start Sora's journey for the stones and Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Sven are along for the ride. Hey, how would react when your true love is in a deep sleep and people are trying to marry you to someone else?
Either way, Thanos and the Master has to be stopped. And the Infinity Stones have to be gathered once more to free the worlds trapped within the box.
Now, other than Olaf and Marshmallow, who will be making an appearance in this story, two others will be joining Sora and the Frozen family on the quest for the Infinity Stones.
Unfortunately, all the villains of this story are after them as well. Including the now returned Vanitas. Bet you didn't see that coming!
Anyways, next time, with the help of an old summon (yet, new to us) our heroes enter the first world. A modern world with no virus except the computer kind trying to wipe out all life on Earth. They meet some marvelous heroes and join forces with them to save the world from a machine called, "Ultron." But is he the true mastermind of the attack or is it a cunning diversion for the Infinity Stone? And if it's the case only one hero can help them get it and he hasn't been seen for six months. Can our heroes bring this fellow teenager back to fighting the forces of evil? What kinda familiar faces will we see? Stay tuned! I hoped you enjoyed the chapter. Be sure to leave a review. And if you haven't already, be sure to leave a follow and fav. as well! See you next time!
