Author's note: Hello, there!
Welcome to a new story of our favorite trio and some selected villains. It's inspired by one of my favorite books, The Vampire Stalker by Allison van Diepen, and in that story, the author incorporates some quantum physics (Sammie would be delighted). Keep in mind that the girls are not spies here, though WOOHP does exist but for an entirely different reason.
This story is not a replacement or continuation of A Tale of Two Secret Lovers. I ran into some timeline issues and writer's block. As soon as classes end for the holidays, I will get back on trying to figure out the other fanfiction story.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this one!
Thicc Disclaimer: I do not own Totally Spies.
Prologue:
Hello,
The inspiration behind this narrative derives from Mandy's obsession with superficial aspects in life, such as appearances, makeup, hair treatments, etc. Of course, they can be helpful enhancements to one's overall look, but should never be the actual basis to be attracted to someone.
Unfortunately, for anyone and everyone who has watched Totally Spies!, you know all too well of her Mandy-isms throughout the show and it's anything but deep.
Mandy was a normal human being, in another life, though she loses the privilege through her obsession of wanting to look pretty 24/7. She suffers the consequences in the name of vanity, and with how the show displayed her greediness, will do anything and everything to get her hands on shiny hair and supple skin, still continues in this tale.
It's a rather somber portrayal of how superficiality rarely lasts long.
I will apologize in advance if the forthcoming chapters trigger any memory of body image disorder, eating disorder (e.g., anorexia nervosa, bulimia, orthorexia), suicide, death (in general), anxiety, depression, facial dysmorphia, and any other past trauma.
I simply wanted to make anyone think twice before they make Mandy Luxe their role model for life.
Yuck.
Thank you, and I hope this story will be enjoyable.
Happy reading!
