[A/N: Alright, I was planning to update the original Glyphed Swordsman, but I... have been inspired... by one of my reviewers, Blake Rh, by the way for some reason I got their review on my email but it doesn't show on the review page for some reason.
So, before we get to the Story I want to answer his questions.
Original Review: "Yes he's finally back and with a new story. But will this alternative include any of the characters from the original, are there going to be any other characters inspired from the Nasuverse. Maybe an Arc twin? Just some speculation considering it seems like you're going more into the magecraft side of things."
Answers: So in order... 1) Yes, Cheri, Ena and the other OC characters, which I have and haven't introduced yet for the other one, will still exist. 2) I'm gonna be a bit vague and say 'The ever searching sheath shall reunite with the ever waiting sword.' among other things. 3) I actually didn't think of that, we'll have to find out what becomes of this idea, now won't we? 4) There won't be much actual magecraft (the prana portion) involved, but similar and easily replicated (via aura) effects that magecraft does will be used... but then again Magecraft is the reproduction of magical feats, via science while using a magical based energy (like aura)... so... yeah magecraft will be prominent... in a fashion.
So Blake Rh, I hope that answers most of your questions.
Also thanks to those who review, as well as give me tips on how to improve. I do read your reviews and will continue to take your advice to heart.
I don't have anything else for me to say so... read on! For boredom is our enemy!
Disclaimer: Me no own me just fan.
The icy rain fell upon the land, somehow unfrozen by the winter air, as the coffin of one, Nicholas Whitley Schnee, a brave hero who survived and dominated two wars, formed a treaty for one along side the other ancient family heirs, and gave the faunus a place to feel safe, a place to belong... or at least that was his intention, was lowered into the ice and snow covered grounds of the Schnee family graveyard, where all of the Schnee were buried since they came to Mantle when it was founded.
The Graveyard lay on Mantle soil, 20 miles northwest of the actual kingdom itself. Embedded into the frozen land are thousands upon thousands of gravestones, many, too many to count, of the engravings were worn off by the snow and ice around them.
Siegfried stared apatheticly as his grandfather was lowered down, but if one were to look closer they would see his fists were clenched tightly, in his black funeral suit.
Willow and Weiss sobbed, each wore a black dress, the kind usually seen for these occasions.
Winter was no where to be seen, in fact she hadn't been seen since the night of Nicholas' death a month ago.
Jacque stood next to his in 'comfort', and just stared down at the ground as his, now deceased, father-in-law was finally settled into the dirt.
The funeral staff began to pick up shovels so as to bury the legend of a man, but Siegfried strode forward and grabbed one of the shovels from the dirt and took a scoop of dirt from the pile of frozen earth next to the grave.
"Siegfried what are you doing, get away from there!" Jacque ordered.
"No... A man such as this deserves a proper burial full of respect. And having one family member, and even loved ones, each shovel one, and only one, scoop of dirt onto his coffin represents saying 'goodbye, but you will not be forgotten.' Those who do not give a proper and respectful goodby to the dead... well I refuse to consider them human, or even faunus... just a beast!" Siegfried snapped at his father, rage evident in his eyes.
Such a sight Jacque had never seen in his son's eyes before, and wisely chose to be quiet and allow the boy to finish.
But Jacque even had to admit... such a custom... wasn't such a bad idea at all.
Siegfried took his shovel and dumped his load of dirt onto his grandfather's coffin, then he walked over to Jacque and pointedly held out the shovel.
Jacque hesitated but took the shovel.
The man walked to the pile of dirt, took a scoop and dumped it onto the man's coffin, before he too returned to the family and handed it to his wife, who had stopped crying after Siegfried's outburst, and had stood there in shock.
Willow daintily took the shovel, and silently approached the pile, with Weiss by her side, and did the same as Siegfried and Jacque, before she helped Weiss do the same, eventually the shovel made it's way to, cousins, family friends, servants and even some faunus who attended, until finally Nicholas Schnee was completely buried.
The funeral staff stood in shock at the unknown custom that was being used, the chief of the staff was even taking note of the custom, as well as the meaning.
Siegfried smiled at the sight.
"I guess you still have a way of bringing people together Gramps... even in death... Thank you for everything... and goodbye." Siegfried thought.
As if reading his thoughts a gentle and warm breeze blew around the boy, before fading away.
Siegfried stood stunned, but smiled again, before he schooled his features to his usual apathetic self, and turned to his family.
Willow smiled softly at the grave, she knew her father wouldn't want her to cry like she was, how strange that the only reason she was able to realize that was because of her son...
"He truely is a special boy..." Willow thought.
Willow and Weiss walk to where Siegfried stood.
Weiss immediately hugged her brother and sobbed lightly, but also felt better.
Siegfried patted her on the back softly, before he felt another pair of arms around him.
Willow had knelt down and hugged her twins, with tears in her eyes.
"Oh Sieg... Thank you... for being here..." Willow muttered softly.
Siegfried's eyes softened as he heard the woman who had birthed him thank him.
"I didn't do anything... I just reminded them of what a proper goodbye should look like..." Siegfried muttered back.
Willow didn't reply back and just held the two.
Jacque saw the sight of the three hugging, and felt jealous, but... strangely awkward all the same. His own mother had never hugged him at all when he was a child... all because he was born with his former family's cursed semblance.
Jacque got fed up with his own jealously, and decided to put an end to the scene.
"(*Ahem*) ... I believe it is time for us to go... we do have business to attend to, dear." Jacque said.
Willow looked at the man, and blinked.
"Oh that's right... your now in charge of the company full time... Yes I believe it is time to go." Willow said solemnly.
"Wait, not yet... there's one thing left to do..." Siegfried said quickly.
"Hmm?" Jacque hummed in confusion.
"What now?" Jacque thought in annoyance.
Siegfried shrugged his way out of tje double hug, prompting a pout from Weiss.
Siegfried ran to the privately own airship, and entered it.
Siegfried was greeted by the sight pure white cushioned walls and seats, but those didn't mstter at the moment. Siegfried sprinted to his own seat, and knelt down to grab an long object wrapped in a white clothe.
Siegfried quickly dragged the object out of the airship, where he was greeted by the confused faces of the remaining guests, and his family.
Siegfried dragged the object until he eventually got to Nicholas' gravestone.
Siegfried braced the object against the stone and untied the wrapped object, and revealed a Nicholas' greatsword with the Schnee family symbol, aka the glyph, etched into the base of the blade.
Willow gasped at the sight of the blade, which she hadn't seen in years.
"Father said he got rid of that blade after the Faunus Rights campaign... where did Sieg get it?" Willow mentally asked herself.
Siegfried ignored the awe that croud showed at the masterpiece of a sword, and grasped the edges of the blade, towards the tip.
A steel glow appeared around Siegfried as he used his recently unlocked aura to strengthen his two year old muscles and lift the greatsword, hilt first, into the air, and gently place the tip on top of the gravestone, where he the channeled aura into the blade and forced the blade into the stone.
Sparks flew as the four foot blade was forced into the stone, yet somehow the blade cut through the stone like butter and didn't even crack the outer parts of the stone.
Siegfried stopped once two feet of the blade was securely inside the stone.
Siegfried panted, using aura in such a way was hard for a boy who hadn't even reached his third year of life, but he still had one more thing to do.
Siegfried straightened up and grabbed the white clothe and fully unfurled it to reveal the Schnee family Symbol in a cobalt blue on the pure white clothe on the obvious flag.
Siegfried then climbed up the sword impale stone and tied the flag, securely onto the pommel and the guard of the massive blade.
Siegfried hopped down and stared at his finished work.
The Flag was limp, which caused Siegfried to frown, only for the warm breeze from before picked it up and the flag had begun to flap proudly in the wind.
Siegfried smiled at the sight, before the sound of clapping caught his attention.
Siegfried turned and saw the funeral staff, the remaining guests and his family, sans Jacque who just gave him a sour look, were clapping at the sight.
Siegfried turned a bit red, even in his old life he wasn't used to being the center of attention, and would always get a bit embarrassed by most forms of praise.
But not one to stay embarrassed, he schooled his features and returned to his mother's side and stood just to her right.
"Now that... whatever that was," Jacque began, which prompted a glare from Siegfried.
"Shall we get going, I have to run the company... and Willow dear... you should rest... this entire day has been an ordeal for you." Jacque said, referring to Willow having had to force herself to leave the safety of the manor.
Willow nodded, she felt exhausted, and desperately wanted to return to he home.
Siegfried rolled his eyes, but nodded all the same.
Weiss just yawned, emotionally exhausted from the day.
"Alright, now that we're all in agreement, every body onto the Airship." Jacque said, as he walked towards the airship.
Weiss skipped after her father. Willow just stiffly walked toward the door, followed by Siegfried.
But before Siegfried stepped through the door, he decided to have one last glance at his grandfather's grave.
His eyes went wide at the sight of the spectral figure of Nicholas Schnee, clad in his armor without the helmet, a proud smile on his face, his hands clasped upon the pomel of his sword, the glyph on it's blade glowed with a cobalt aura. Siegfried blinked and the spectre was gone, but the glyph continued to glow.
Siegfried smiled before he turned and finally entered the airship.
As soon as he stepped in the door closed and the boy made his way to his seat.
The Schnee family sat in relative silence, with Jacque being the only one talking, and that was on his scroll to his business associates, as they soared through the sky towards their home in Atlas.
Siegfried gazed out the window, and just watched the lands pass by.
Eventually they arrived at the Manor, and each, except Jacque who still sat on the ship, walked off the ship only for it to fly away, most likely to the SDC main building.
Siegfried glared at the ship at it left before he walked to the open door, where his mother waited for him.
He entered the building, and inspected the current status of the building.
It seemed the servant had done an excellent job of cleaning everything, since they had returned from the funeral first.
The white floor was shining to the point Siegfried thought he might go blind. The same could be said about the furniture.
"How did they get the fireplace so shiny... hell even the fire is shiny!?" Siegfried thought.
Siegfried looked around the entrance room, and spotted Klein leading a sleepy Weiss to her room, but he couldn't see Willow... but he could guess where she went.
"Probably to gramps' room, with a bottle of wine..." Siegfried sighed.
The thought was a definite possibility, seeing as she had been sleeping there since the assassination.
Siegfried shook his head, but went up the stairs and to his room, but as he was about to enter he looked around.
No one was around him... now is the time.
Ever since the assassination the servants had been watching him, and the others to ensure that they were alive, and frankly it had gotten annoying.
Siegfried looked around one final time, still clear...
Then he sprinted to his grandfather's study, which Jacque had kept occupied for the past month, so Siegfried never had a chance to get what he needed from the room, the things that his grandfather left him lay in a secret compartment in the room.
Siegfried quietly sneaked into the study and closed the door with a barely audible click, he then locked the door from the inside and went to work.
"Alright... Gramps said they are behind his portrait..." Siegfried muttered.
He looked around the room, and eventually spotted the portrait, on the far left of the room, which he approached.
The portrait itself was 2 ft by 3 ft, a rather sizable picture, and had Nicholas Schnee standing in armor with his armor under his left arm and his right hand on his sword, which was pointed downwards. It was above a small bookshelf, and about three feet above the floor.
Siegfried looked at his small size... then to the portrait and sighed.
"I hate being short..." Siegfried said.
The boy then climbed up the bookshelf, once he reached the top he then searched the sides of the portrait and eventually saw a pair of hinges, he tried to pull on the opposite side but it seemed that it was held into the wall by something.
"Probably a lock... there may be a mechanism that would unlock it." Siegfried contemplated.
His eyes drift to the bookshelf beneath him.
"Surely it couldn't be that easy?" Siegfried muttered, before he hopped down the bookshelf and turned to face it.
"Alright Sieg look look for a book that might open the portrait..." Siegfried thought to himself.
Siegfried glared at the books, as he tried to find the right one.
"Gah! This is stupid! I'll just remove them all!" Siegfried said before he started chucking random books out of the shelf.
Finally he found the book he needed... on the very bottom... and as the very last book in the shelf.
"Finally!" Siegfried panted as the portrait opened and a safe was revealed.
Siegfried climbed up the shelf again, and looked at the safe. It was a padlock safe, the kind where you need a pin to open it.
Luckily Nicholas gave Sieg the pin before he died, otherwise he would never have been able to open it.
"Lets see here 3... 8... 9... 1... 3..." Siegfried muttered as he pressed each button.
(*Beep- Click!*)
The safe hissed open to reveal, a large black case (measurements: 8x8x12 inches, three large books, the top one of which didn't have a title just a white sword glyph, and two Scrolls and a scroll (the phone like device)
Siegfried took out the objects and placed them on the shelf below the top, then he shut the portrait, climbed down the bookshelf.
He grabbed his new items of the shelf he had placed them and set them on the nearby coffee table, before he made sure to put every book back, sure not in the right order, but hey you couldn't really expect him to remember their exact original position now could you?
After he finished he hurriedly grabbed his mementos from Nicholas, unlocked the door to the study and sprinted towards his room, where he closed and locked the door, so as not to be disturbed.
Siegfried spread his things on the ground and glanced over them.
The two books with titles were named:
Encyclopedia of known dust and their attributes.
Which caught Siegfried's attention a bit, but not as much as the other one.
The history of the Ancient families of Remnant: Schnee.
Siegfried inspected the book, for an author but the only sign of there being one was the letter O on the inner cover.
Siegfried shut the book and tunred his attention to the book with the glyph on it.
He picked it up and opened it.He skimmed over the introduction.
"Alright then to summarize it... this book details the entirety of the Schnee semblance, and the fact that the semblance itself is actually not summoning but the ability to reproduce magical effects via glyphs, a combination of Formalcraft, and Runecraft... but created via the aura of the soul and not via Prana... interesting... does that make the Schnee family like... psuedo-magi... psuedo-magus'... ah whatever." Siegfried muttered, his left hand grasping his chin.
Siegfried then put the book down and looked at the case, it had the Schnee glyph on the lid.
Siegfried grabbed it and opened the lid, to reveal a several small vials of dust, some in sand form, some in their raw crystal form. There was one crystal for every known dust element, from the basic five, to hardlight, there was even crystals of the, rare, and even the legendary and epic classifications of dust, which were separated by different levels in the box.
Siegfried was positively drooling at the sight of them, and he immediately grabbed the Dust encyclopedia and began to look through the various dust types.
"This orange one is a Lava Crystal! These are only found in active volcanoes! Oh! This magenta one is a Crystallokinesis dust type! This is able to replenish dusty deposits and even fuse dust crystals that have been turned to sand back into a crystal state and is only found at the heart of insanely large dust deposits... so pretty... Oh and this Cerulean one is an Ocean dust crystal, it can... control water... why didn't they didn't just name it Water dust... oh the book says why... hmm... because this dust produces salt water, and is found in deposits in the depths of the sea... that's a dumb reason..." Siegfried rambled as he continued to examine dust crystal after dust crystal, until at the very bottom of the box, four crystals caught his eye.
"What are these?" Siegfried asked himself.
The fist was a clear crystal that seemed to glow. The second was a steel color, and was perfectly see-through. The fourth was a pitch black crystal that had a unnoticeable amount of dark crimson within. The last however was pure white with a slight golden glow to it.
Siegfried searched the entire book until he came across the last page, titled: Light and Void dust.
The article read:
Light and Void dust fall under the Mystery class of dust as there are so few accounts of finding this type of dust, there are no known deposits, and the only recorded findings of Void dust were in the forbidden Continent, also known the Grimm lands, and it's effects are of the darker variety according to last known user the dust has the effect of absorbing the essence of slain Grimm to replenish it's unknown powers. Light dust was found on the snowcaps of the Anima continent, on maps the area this was found in was on the skull of the white dragon, it has the effect of light, and can easily vaporize Grimm with but a touch, any additional effects are unknown.
Siegfried stared at the black and white crystals.
"If these are so impossible to find... where did gramps get these two." Siegfried wondered.
The boy then turned his attention to the clear and steel crystal.
"What are you two...?" Siegfried mused, before he decided to test one out, luckily his aura had mostly recovered.
"Now which one to try out..." Siegfried muttered.
After a few minuted of thinking he grabbed the steel colored crystal and channel a small amount of aura into it.
The crystal lit up instantly and Siegfried had to jump back as steel projection of solid steel encased the crystal in a four foot long, jagged blade, before it faded away, and fell to the floor.
"No way... Gramps... was this what you left to work on?... the dust for my weapon... you actually finished it in one night?... you truly were a one of a kind dust genius..." Siegfried smiled sadly at the fallen crystal.
Siegfried gently picked up the Steel Crystal and was about to place it back in the case when he notice a piece of paper where the Steel dust had once been.
Siegfried picked up the note and read it.
It read:
Dear Siegfried, if you are reading this... I died before I could give you this... whether from my three or so years of constant aura drain... or from of circumstances. Within this case as you no doubt have seen, has one crystal of every dust type I've ever collected, or made myself. Among these are the two forms of stabilized hardlight dust, and within the scroll is the method to making more of them. The Clear dust crystal is called Photon dust, and the Steel dust is the SteelLight dust, and was made using titanium sand, I called it SteelLight because it's easier to say than TitaniumLight.
I am sorry to have left you and our family so early and I wish you best of luck in the world, and when we meet in the afterlife, hopefully not for many years, I want to hear your story. Good luck and have the greatest adventure of your life!
~Your proud grandfather, Nicholas Schnee.
Siegfried read and reread the note at least ten more times, tears ran down his cheeks as he did so.
Siegfried dried his eyes on his sleeve, and grinned.
"You bet Gramps, I'll make a name for myself, like you did... and have the greatest adventure possible! Just you wait and see!" Siegfried said proudly.
Siegfried then put the not down, gently, and set his sights on the two Scrolls (the paper kind) and unrolled one.
The one Siegfried was currently reading, details the Schnee family combat styles for swords, all of them.
Then Siegfried turned to the other paper Scroll and unrolled it. It was about Archery, an art that was not used by modern remnant society, due to guns being more effective against the bone armored hides of Grimm.
Siegfried grinned though... he had never been a fan of guns, of course he's more than willing to use them but he still prefers swords and more traditional forms of combat.
Archery would be perfect, in his last life, second of three, including his current one, he was a version of Shirou Emiya, even if most of his past life memories sealed he still had the basics and a familiar feeling in the back of his mind, so he had more ideas on how to use a bow, such as launch sword-arrows from it, which would surely pierce through a Grimm's armored hide with little to no trouble.
Using SteelLight dust would work to create the bow at least.
But there was one problem...
"... I need to unlock me semblance..." Siegfried concluded.
So with that in mind Siegfried scanned the book on the Schnee semblance, with hopes to find out how to unlock it.
After about two hours of reading, Siegfried finally found what he was looking for.
Unlocking of the Schnee semblance, is impossible. Hereditary semblance are active as soon as the user's Aura is unlocked. In order use the semblance however is different, the first glyph appears by accident and afterwards one must picture a glyph forming in the desired location, basic image of the normal glyph depends on the person, and cannot be chosen or changed. But Glyphs with abilities of their own have their own unique appearances and need to be learned, via a fellow Schnee or by this book
Siegfried read the passage again and again... his eye twitched each time he finished.
"Well that was fucking unhelpful!" Siegfried shouted as he threw the book, only to regret it instantly, as it was a gift from his grandfather.
He reached out in a vain attempt to catch the book, but it was way to far amd he had accidentally aimed at the window.
"Oh no!" Siegfried shouted, in fear at the possible loss of his grandfather's book, and hoped that something, anything would stop it.
Suddenly the window lit up as a glyph appeared and the book bounced back at Siegfried, and hit him in the head, sending him falling backwards.
"Gah?! Oof!" Siegfried grunted when he hit the floor.
"Ow..." Siegfried muttered as he sat up and then gasped when he saw the White glyph that had appeared on the window.
The glyph was similar in design to the Sword Glyph on the cover of the book, but in the center, instead of a snowflake, it was a tribal image of a snarling western dragon's face.
Siegfried thought about the glyph coming closer and, to his surprise, it did.
Upon closer inspection, Siegfried noticed that the entire outer circle was made entirely of small Runes of Germanic origin, in fact the entire glyph was made of very tiny runes!
"Holy shit..." Siegfried muttered in awe.
Magi in his previous life seriously would have killed to have something like this.
Siegfried suddenly had an idea.
Siegfried approached the glyph, gathered aura into his right index finger amd drew the Germanic rune Dagaz, the rune took the shape of an hourglass that was left on it's side. The rune has several meanings, day, happiness, success, and in terms of magic Time. The last meaning was what Siegfried was hoping to use.
The aura used to draw the rune stayed in the air before it fused with the glyph, it was then that Siegfried felt a large drain on his aura, and he had to stop or he would have run out. But when the Rune was absorbed into the glyph for a split second the Glyph changed to a brass color with a clock at the center instead of the dragon, the swords srill remained though. Of course when Siegfried stopped using his aura the glyph completely vanished before Siegfried could take a good look at it.
Siegfried panted at the sudden loss of his aura.
"Huff...huff... note to self... time glyphs are probaby best for when I have a larger supply of aura..." Siegfried panted out.
But Siegfried still grinned. He had just discovered something about Glyphs, how they were tied with runecraft, and how certain runes can change how the glyph works...
"I guess that I don't need Winter to teach me after all." Siegfried thought with a grin... of course he still had the book in case he needed help with aomething he's stuck on.
He then picked up the book and skimmed through it until he noticed a certain glyph.
Storage Glyphs
Storage Glyphs were how the Schnee stored their belongings during their migration from their ancestral homeland, to the kingdom of Mantle.-
"Oof... this book must be really old, Mantle hasn't been a kingdom for nearly 80 years, not since Atlas took it's place." Siegfried muttered, before he continued reading.
This Glyph is one of the simplest glyphs to use and only requires a normal glyph to have an item places onto it with the intention to 'store' it.
Siegfried deadpanned at the book.
"Whoever wrote this clearly had no idea what Runes are." Siegfried thought, but he shrugged.
"Might as well give it a try." Siegfried said.
Siegfried called up a normal glyph and grabbed a pillow of his bed, he wanted to be sure he could take things out of the glyph before he put his mementos into them.
Siegfried placed the pillow onto the glyph.
"Store." Siegfried thought.
Nothing happened, no flash of light, no ripple, not even a poof.
Siegfried's eye twitched. before he tried again, this time he closed his eyes and focused.
"Store." Siegfried thought, this time he imagined the pillow being absorbed into the the glyph.
A cold feeling on his hand forced him to open his eyes, only for them to bug out as his hand was inside of the glyph, the glyph rippled in a way that reminded Siegfried of Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon.
Siegfried ripped his hand out of the glyph, and saw the word 'Pillow' written in the runic alphabet along the rim of the circle, seeming to replace some random runes that were there before.
"Now... how do I get it out...?" Siegfried wondered.
Instead of consulting the book he reached his hand towards the glyph.
"Pillow..." Siegfried thought, as he imagined the pillow being spat out of the glyph.
Only to go flying back as the pillow hit his face.
Siegfried sat up with a twitch in his eye.
Siegfried put the pillow back into the glyph.
"Alright... let's try that again with a different visualization..." Siegfried muttered.
"Pillow..." Siegfried thought again, imagining his hand slipping into the glyph and grabbing the pillow.
That cold feeling in his hand returned as it slipped into the glyph and he felt the soft pillow within. Quickly he grabbed the object and pulled it out.
Siegfried inspected the pillow for any sign of damages, but found none.
So Siegfried then gathered up all of the items from his grandfather and one by one placed them in the newly created storage glyph, except for the scroll (the phone) as it might be useful and relatively easy to hide on his person, and as each item was placed into it the glyph, Runic letters named each item that was place, with the two technique scrolls bring labeled as 'Saber' and 'Archer'.
The Irony wasn't lost on Siegfried when he saw that, seeing as he chuckled at the two words.
Siegfried finished putting his stuff away just in time to hear a loud banging at his door.
Siegfried quickly rushed to unlock the door and open it, to reveal Klein.
"Young Master Siegfried, I have been sent to infrom you that dinner is ready. Please wash up and head down to the dining hall." Klein said, his current persona being Grumpy... judging by his red eyes.
"Yes thank you Klein... I shall be down as soon as I wash up, and get changed." Siegfried said to the butler.
Grumpy Klein nodded stiffly before he turned to leave, only to switch to Happy Klein and wink at the boy.
Siegfried laughed, as the man left, before he closed the door.
He stripped out of his funeral attire and got changed into his pajamas.
Then Siegfried exited his room and walked to the nearest bathroom, and wshed his hands, before he went to dinner.
He entered the dining hall, and immediately noticed Willow collapsed on the table, clearly drunk, Jacque wasn't there and Weiss was sitting quietly at the table, as Happy Klein tried to cheer her up. And Winter... well she's obviously not there.
Siegfried decided to sit next Weiss, which immediately cheered her up, as she hugged him.
The kitchen staff brought the food for those who were currently conscious, nothing special, just ordinary food that a child would eat.
They ate their meals in silence, Willow still passed out, Weiss ate silently, with Siegfried awkwardly doing the same...
He felt like a complete douche right now... he was having the time of his life in his room, with the items from Nicholas, but he had neglected Weiss, who doesn't understand why everyone is sad, and what death even was... but that's probably for the best... it would break his heart if she were to lose herself like Willow currently was.
So for the rest of the dinner they ate in silence, until it was time for them to sleep.
Willow had been helped to her room by Doc Klein. Which left Siegfried to help his sister to her room.
But when they got there he noticed that she was still down...
"What can I do to help..." Siegfried wondered mentally, before an idea struck him like lightning.
Siegfried turned to his sister.
"Hey Weissy?" Siegfried asked.
"Hmm... Yes Big bruder?" Weiss asked.
"She's gotten better at enunciating." Siegfried thought idly.
"Would you like to sleep in my room... with me tonight?" Siegfried asked, his mind being of the 'I had a nightmare, can I sleep with you' type of thought.
Weiss brightened up immediately and nodded vigorously.
Siegfried grinned.
"Alright then to my room it is!" Siegfried said.
The boy and his sister then walked to the former's room.
Siegfried let her in where she immediately jumped into his bed landing face first into the pillow Siegfried used to experiment with his glyph.
Weiss shot up and shivered.
"What?" Siegfried asked with a raised eye.
"Your Pillow iz kold..." Weiss muttered.
Siegfried rose an eyebrow and walked to touch the pillow, and found that she was right. The pillow was ice cold. like it had been left in the snow for an entire day.
"Odd..." Siegfried muttered.
He took off the Pillow and went to his closet and took out another pillow. He threw the pillow to Weiss, it hit her face and she fell back with a giggle.
"Much Better" Weiss said, as she crawled into the bed, and covered herself with the covers., with a content sigh.
Siegfried shook his head at her antics, before he crawled into bed directly beside her, where she snuggled up to him and eventually fell asleep.
Siegfried stared up at the ceiling, then lifted his free arm and called on his aura, the steel glow flickered to life on his palm. A soothing steel color, that shimmers in a dull silvery gray. The sight of his aura calmed his mind and finally allowed him to drift off into slumber.
[A/N: Yo I hope you enjoyed. I sure did. By the way let me know what you thought of the funeral, I've only personally been to two funerals, and they were somewhat along those lines, in terms of burying the dead with the one shovel of dirt per family member/family friends. I don't know if anybody else does that, but that's what my family does, so I thought it would be neat to add that to the funeral of Nicholas Schnee.
Also I'm thinking of doing a sort of ending segment, with the stories of older Schnee members from the history book in this. What do you think? Should I go for it? Or just focus on the actual story for now and maybe pick it up later?
Let me know in the reviews.
Later!
