I remember you

As days become weeks and weeks become months, so did the months of spring become the months of summer.

It was hot and humid out, Rin felt she could collapse at any moment. As she went about picking herbs for Kaede she hopelessly wished she could shed her clothes and just jump into the cool lake and cool off.

In that moment Rin was reminded of hot days she spent with Jaken and lord Sesshomaru.

[Flashback]

"Hurry master Jaken! Come on!" Rin giggled and laughed as she ran to the large crystal lake. Without a second thought Rin jumped in with all her clothes on.

"Riiin! Doh you silly human! What are you going to wear now! Your kimono is soaked!" Jaken squawked in annoyance.

Sesshomaru had commanded Jaken to watch Rin while he was gone. Jaken never knew where Sesshomaru would go or when he would come back.

He followed his masters orders to the best of his own exstent in fear of being cut down or pummeled Rin assumed, as it happened often when Jaken annoyed, disobeyed or contradicted their mighty lord.

"It'll be ok master Jaken! I'll hang it dry before lord Sesshomaru gets back. Come on the water feels amazing!" Rin splashed and lazed about in the lake cooling off from the intense rays of heat from the bright sun.

"And just what will you wear while it dries!! You plan to just stay naked! You foolish girl! That is most improper!" Jaken yelled.

"Ok fine! I'll dry it off while I am swimming." Rin smiled as she stripped in the water and layed her kimono out on a rock to dry.

Jaken continued to complain and squawk annoyingly. But all Rin cared about was how nice the cool water felt.

[end flashback]

Rin sighed wishing she could go back to those long forgotten days. Alright so maybe she was being a little dramatic as it was only a year or two ago.

But it was still in her opinion the best year of her life. Yes she was kidnapped and used as her lords one and only weakness but something in her missed the feeling of knowing and never questioning if he'd be there.

She knew without worry or doubt that he would always be there just in time to catch her, save her, be there for her. Now she only wondered if she would ever even see him again.

He has to come back...he left Ah-Un.. Rin hadn't realized she stopped in her work as her thoughts took her over.

"Rin? Rin. Rin! Child!! Have ye loss all senses?" Kaede spoke with a loud tone of playful curiosity as she teased the young girl.

True she was Rins caretaker and teacher. Making her very stern and disciplined with the young girl. However, Rin was different. And she enjoyed playing games and teasing the young girl whenever she could.

"Forgive me lady Kaede. I guess I just lost track of my thoughts." Rin gave a kind smile that hid her worries.

It was very apparent by the young girls appearence how she became over heated. Her body dripping in sweat. Her once beautfiul yellow kimono with pink flowers and green butterflies now soaked and stained in sweat.

"Well child. I know of only one solution for such a troubled mind. Only one way ye can find peace again." Kaede said with a serious tone as her one eye closed.

"Huh? What's that lady Kaede?" Rin questioningly looked to her old caretaker.

"Come closer child." Kaede spoke in a whisper.

Rin leaned in closer to hear the old priestess. Tucking her hair behind her ear and raising up just slightly with only her knees keeping her balance.

Kaede stared into the brown eyes that questioned her for wisdom and solutions. She leaned in toward Rin and shoved her into the lake beneath them.

Kaede knew it was deep enough that Rin would not become injured and the fall was short enough that she could handle it. Kaede began to laugh at the flailing and angry Rin.

"Lady Kaede!! What was that for! Now my clothes are all wet!" Rin choked slightly from the water she drank in and finally steadied herself to float on top the water.

She watched as Kaede kept laughing harder at her until she herself fell over and in.

Rin panicked to help her surface. Kaede looked to Rin in shock for a moment and than again began her laughter. Rin soon joined in and was thrilled her old caretaker was so fun.

"Come child we best be going. I have a thin yukata for both ye and I to change into. It will keep us mostly decent enough to head back home." Kaede said as she and Rin began shedding there wet clothes and strunging out their wet hair.

"Come on Kohaku! It's to hot for this!" Shippo complained as he helped Kohaku gather flowers for Rin as a surprise for her birthday.

"Calm down already! We are almost finished. Just a few more. I know Rin will love this. And she has been so busy lately." Kohaku was practically talking to himself.

"Yeah, yeah. That and you love her." Shippo said teasingly with mocking eyes.

"Stop with that already! I do not! I care for Rin a great deal because she is my friend. That is all.." Kohaku spoke with a pink blush.

"Oh yeah? Than why are you blushing?!" Shippo teased Kohaku making the young slayer run after him to knock him around.

Kohaku stopped just before his fist could come down on a trembling Shippo. "What was that?" Kohaku looked into the direction he thought the sound was coming from.

Shippo quickly ran up Kohakus shoulders and held tightly in fear. "Is it a demon?" Shippo began to shake.

"I don't sense a demonic aura?" Kohaku began walking towards the noise. He raised his weapon up high readying to strike. He jumped through the shrubbery at an attempt to a surprise attack to whatever stalked and threatned his and Shippos life. "Aghhhhhb!! Lady Kaede?!?! Ughh I'm so sorry..!? I.." Kohaku and shippo fell embaresssd and grossed out to the old sagging form of Kaede.

"My word have ye boys no decency!?" Kaede covered herself.

Kohaku sat embaressed and what he felt would scar him for life. Shippo looked around wondering why Kaede stood alone and naked in the middle of the forest.

"Lady Kaede? What are you doing out here? Wasn't Rin with you?" Shippo asked still wondering if there was an impending danger worse than Kaedes naked form.

"Aye, she went back to Inuyashas to get a new kimono. I was just heading home now to do the same." Kaede covered herself with the second yukata.

Rin ran through the forest quickly and secretly. She had no desire to be seen naked by anyone. Rin loved the feel of her bare body running so quickly in the humid weather. For the second time today she felt fresh.

She climbed through the back window where her room was and walked over to her wardrobe. She slipped on a light weight green kimono with white circles in various sizes that had no sleeves.

I should have just worn this to begin with. Rin gigled to herself as she tied the yellow obi that went with her kimono. She brushed out her hair and tied it up in her signature side ponytail with a green ribbon that had crystal drangonflies that hung from it.

She stepped outside and looked up at the figure standing before her.

Two bandaged feet stood with brown fur just under two knees. Brown fur wrapped around his lean and muscular waist with armor covering his upper body. His long black hair held up in a ponytail. With sharp fangs hanging from his mouth. Rin stared into the pale blue eyes she knew she's seen before.

"Hey kid." The wolf demon Koga smiled fiendishly to the young girl.
