Returning souls and forgotten friends
Rays of sun shown around her as if some sort of majestic goddess of light. Her futuristic clothing flowing and revealing her long and toned legs.
Her skin as soft as the half demon could remember. Her hair keeping that scent he loved and missed for so long. Her voice like a symphony of angels bringing comfort and peace to his tormented soul.
His yellow eyes gazed deeply and lovingly into the brown hazel which he missed so dearly. "Kagome, what have you been doing all this time ya idiot?" Inuyasha held her form close inhaling her scent like an aphrodisiac.
"Inuyasha, were you waiting here all this time? I'm sorry it took me so long." Kagome whispered into his chest. His embrace was like a comfort she couldn't replace.
She felt whole and her heart, mind and soul was at perfect peace. His body, his heart, his wild locks of white hair. He was just as she had remembered. Her very vivid dreams were nothing compared to the real half demon that held her close at this perfect moment.
In this moment of silence that passed between them they knew. They both were happy and they knew they both were the perfect match for the other. They were unconditionally and uncontrollably in love.
"Kohaku? Look! Isn't that?! Kagome!!" Rin waved frantically with a wide and happy smile.
"Kagome! Hey!" Kohaku greeted with excitement.
Sango, Miroku and their kids made their way up the hill with Shippo and the old Lady Kaede right behind them.
"Kagome!" Sango cheered in excitement seeing her best friend after five years.
"Your back! Kagome! It's good to see you!" Miroku spoke happily standing to the side as the two women hugged.
"Hey everyone! I missed you all so much! Shippo, Rin I can't believe how much you two have grown in three years!"
"Three years?" Shippo questioned confusedly.
"Ugh? Thanks I guess? Ha ha. But it hasn't been three years since we last seen you? It's been five." Rin said with an innocent Smile and giggle.
"Five years? It was only three years in my time?" Kagome looked to her group of friends in confusion.
"Whatta ya think changed? Whenever we use to cross over into your world it was like the same day passing?." Inuyasha questioned with his arms folded into the sleeves of his red haori.
"I'm not sure.." Kagome looked worried for a moment.
"Well I forgot that I have a lot of chores to finish up so Kohaku, Shippo and I will catch up with you later! Come on you guys!" Rin violently pushed the two boys away with a mischievous grin.
"Aye, there is much work that need be done. Sango? Perhaps ye and thy family can assist this old woman kindly?" Kaede gave a sly grin and turned to walk away. "It is nice to have ye back young Kagome." Kaede said her last words and trailed off back to the village.
"Oh right!" Sango took the hint given by Rin and Kaede and gathered her family. "We'll catch up with you later Kagome!" Sango waved off.
Miroku smiled and nodded to his old friend and lifted his two girls. "Come on girls. Let's go help mommy." Miroku gave his warm smile.
"Ok! Bye strange lady!" Both girls spoke in unison.
Kagome smiled lovingly at the two young girls and waved. She was happy to see her friends all of them truly. But there was only one person she really wanted to see and be around at the moment.
Inuyasha and Kagome spoke for hours. Not paying attention to the setting sun before them. Hoping and wishing this wasn't some sort of dream. And if it was they prefer to remain in eternal slumber.
Inuyasha looked to Kagome with content and loving eyes. Unknown to him the smile that dawned his face seeing her here, with him, now.
"What's this?" Kagome looked to the home built just in front of the well she had climbed out of.
"Oh Ugh...well it's a house..what does it look like ya idiot!" Inuyasha spat in nervous furry. He hated being nervous around her. And this new feeling he couldn't explain. He was all of sudden made very aware how long it had been since he bathed, worried that he had smelled or had something stuck in his teeth.
What the hell is going on?! Why am I so nervous?! It's not like I haven't been alone with her before!? Damn!
"I can see that! I meant! What is it doing here! Who's is it! It wasn't here the last time I was here! Ughhh! Your such a jerk sometimes you know that!" Kagome spat back viciously. Making Inuyasha tremble in fear.
"Well...I...Ugh..." Inuyasha stuttered on his words and finally calmed down. "It's ours..." Inuyasha spoke with a sadness to his eyes. "I mean if you want it to be.." his arms crossed into his haori once more.
"Ours?" Kagome was caught off guard. Her cheeks immediately stained with a bright pink. "You built a house...while I wasn't here..?" Kagome barely choked out the words as tears built within her eyes. "For us...?" Kagome felt fluttering in her heart and stomach.
Could it really be that Inuyasha built this house for us? How did he know...?How long after the well closed did he build it? Inuyasha...how long have you been alone..?
"Yeah...I guess..." Inuyasha began to feel silly. His cheeks blushed. He soon was able to scent fresh tears in the air.
Aww man! I made her cry! But how! What did I do!
"Inuyasha...thank you...I..I..I love it.." Kagome wiped her watery eyes and held her blushing cheeks. She dare not look to the man she loved in fear of looking silly.
"Kagome..You mean you want to?" Inuyasha didn't have to finish.
He stepped closer to the young beauty. She followed in pace. They reached their arms out to one another holding onto each other's elbows tenderly.
"Inuyasha.." Kagome whispered while staring into his beautiful yellow eyes.
"Kagome.." Inuyasha leaned forward, his gaze softening as his eye lids slowly drifted to close. His lips parted slightly.
Kagomes breath was held in her throat. She raised herself up just enough to match the height of the tall half demon. Her head tilted in wanting. Her lips parted in anticipation. Her eyes slowly drifting shut.
"LORD SESSHOMARU!! HELP ME!!"
