Selfless greed
Kaede awoke sore and exhausted. In truth the old woman wished not to wake at all any longer. She hadn't realized what it meant to no longer have her sweet Rin by her side and dreaded the day that would become more permanent.
Obviously she knew Rin would one day marry and have her own life and make her own decisions. She had merely hoped that it would have been a marriage to someone near in the village where she could still see and hear her every morning.
Kaede dressed and washed as she always had. She made her way up the long stone steps and stopped to her sisters grave. She got on her knees and lit incense and began to pray to her older forgotten sister.
"Sister Kikyo. It would seem I two have allowed thy heart to be stolen. It not be a suitor not in this old womans age..No sister Kikyo. It be thee young girl I have come to love as thy own. I wish terribly not to lose this child. You would have loved her dear sister.." Kaede shed a single tear into the soil below her.
As she sat in the soil of her sisters grave she reflected on the many celebrations and parties Rin had forced her to join.
Nights she was kept awake and days she was startled almost near death by the girls silly games. Her smile and her laughter never changing. Her features even though maturing still held the innocence that was her sweet and loving Rin.
If ye truly want thy ward lord Sesshomaru. Than prepare thyself to prove thy worth. I shall not let her go so easily. She has grown into a marvelous and strong woman. I will not allow thee to subject her to ridicule and to be looked down upon in demon courts.
Kaede rose with a new found determination. She than began to organize and focus her attentions on the village she watched over.
Kaede began plotting in ways she never thought she needed to in order to keep her young ward whom she would not let go.
So this be the feeling of selfish greed.
Kaede looked into the sky as the breeze took with it fallen leaves. The season of Autumn was approaching. And she would make sure that by spring Rins heart would be won by a strong and determined suitor.
A/N: Ok so super sorry for how long it takes me to update me to update my stories honestly. This episode of Yashahime though was a bit more inspirational though! I seriously thought all this time it was Kagome stuck in the tree of ages? I also was super shocked to see that Inuyasha and Kagome looked to be fighting off Sesshomaru and had to send off poor little Moroha! So sad! I really hope they start giving us more back story as to what happen like they did in the end letting us see Naraku and Kikyos true backstory. It took a long ass time but it was still given. Hopefully they will give us more on my loving lord Sesshomaru! It'sseriously unhealthy how much I love this Dog demon? Lol Anyway!
