Changes of life

"Oh no! Oh no! Why today! Of all days why today!" Rin complained.

"Hey everything ok in here? It sounds like your having a battle with the floor? And the floors winning." Kagome teased and took a seat next to the irritated Rin.

"Hello Kagome. I'm sorry about the noise..I'm just trying to get ready for lord Sesshomaru and master Jaken! I want to show them a few of the paintings I've made..but everything is just going wrong today and I don't feel well and my body is all achy and I have to wear this uncomfortable stupid...!!!! UGHH! Why did I have to bleed today!! Of all days why today!!" Rin wailed out her frustration again.

Kagome giggled looking at the small girl. "I get it. Your embarrassed because this is the first time Sesshomaru will see you like this." Kagome snuggled her closely.

"Lord Sesshomaru is a full demon like Shippo..When this first started Shippo would act very strange around me. Kohaku always has to take him out of the village..What if I bother lord Sesshomaru like that.." Rin said worriedly as she cuddled up tightly into Kagomes comforting embrace.

"Look. I get it honestly. I may not completely understand it from a demons perspective but I understand being a girl in life's changes. Maybe I have some things that'll help?" Kagome smiled.

"Really? You mean like your stuff from that other world?" Rin looked to her amazed and questioningly.

"Yeah exactly! Plus I think you'd feel more comfortable in these anyways. Come on. Come with me." Kagome brought Rin with her into her and Inuyashas shared room.

"Umm Kagome? May I ask you something?" Rin looked around the tidy room.

"Yes of course anything. What's up?" Kagome looked to the young girl as she dug in her backpack that had a few spare outfits and underwear.

"Are you happy? You and Inuyasha began living together so quickly and I was just wondering..Are you happy being with him again?" Rin asked with a slight blush.

Kagome looked to her shocked and caught off guard. After a second of letting her words set in, Kagome looked to Rin with a large smile.

"I have never been happier. It was awkward at first I'll admit. But honestly I can never imagine my life without Inuyasha. It was hard not being with him for three years. Now I'm just happy I never have to worry about that happening ever again." Kagome finished with a loving grin. "Now here. Try this and try these on." Kagome handed her a pair of white cotton underwear. That she had taken out of a new pack and a pad.

She explained to Rin how it worked and told her how to put it on.

Rin bowed her thanks and than quickly hugged Kagome. She loved her kind heart and the way she always made every problem just go away.

Rin now more confidently ran outside to meet her lord within that meadow, near that tree, in their special spot.

Kohaku and Shippo was walking toward Sango and Mirokus home when they were passed by dazzling Rin.

She was dressed in one of the finer kimonos Sesshomaru had regifted her. Her hair was brushed and pulled up to one side and her lips seemed to be dawning a bit of rouge. While her cheeks were brushed with the faintest hint of blush.

"Whoa! Hey Rin where you going?" Kohaku called out to the fancy young girl running barefoot.

"Sorry Kohaku! No time! I'll catch up with you later!" Rin waved and ran.

"That was weird? Wonder what's up with Rin? Speaking of weird? Your acting strange what's happening to you?"

Shippo s eyes were glazing over, he was growling within his throat. And his fist were clutching his sides. "I can smell her.." Shippo said in a low whispering growl.

Kohaku was suddenly glad Rin had no chance to stop and talk. He than focused all his attention on Shippo.

Kagome walked up and immediately dissipated the rising dark aura around Shippo. "Hey you two. What's up?" Kagome asked not having noticed anything out of the ordinary.

Shippo blinked a few times and was made very aware of his demonic need to claim and mate Rin. "I feel awful...I gotta learn how to control myself better. Did I scare her away again Kohaku?" Shippo asked with a tone of hurt.

"Huh? What are you talking about? Scare who? What happened?" Kagome asked worriedly.

"No, she was in a rush to get somewhere. I hope she knows to head back to Kaede quickly. It's not safe for her carrying a demons scent and her own." Kohaku said slightly blushing from Kagome being there.

"What are you two talking about!? Someone wanna fill me in here?" Kagome yelled angrily waving her hands trying to get the attention of the two boys ignoring her.

"We're talking about Rin. Ever since she began...Ugh? Well you know? My inner demon keeps trying to claim her..." Shippo said shamefully.

"Huh? What do you mean? She can't be all that different from any other girl that happens to?" Kagome said with a finger to her chin.

"She is though. She carries the scent of a virgin, and the scent of Sesshomaru. So knowing that she hasn't been claimed yet by the demon who's scent surrounds her just stirs something really dark inside of me?" Shippo said looking off into the direction where Rin ran.

"Oh..I see?" Kagome finally understood why Kohaku was so worried.

"Well thankfully it's only Shippo. I mean if a stronger demon got whiff of her it'd be really bad." Kohaku said trying to lighten the mood. "As long as she's home soon she should be ok. She hasn't left her dagger behind since she was attacked." Kohaku said clenching his fist from the unhappy memory.

"Oh no!? She is though! She's going to meet up with Sesshomaru!" Kagome said in a panic.

All three looked to each other with fear and worry than immediately took off running in the same direction.
