Difficult invitations

It was a bright and cold morning at the castle in the sky. The mushy piles of melting snow and dirty ice pushed to the sides to create a perfect pathway for the lords and ladies of the mass palace.

The sounds of steel clashing and bodies panting could be heard from far. It was an intense training session for a determined young woman giving it her all against a large and powerful demon general.

Rin happily trained in front of her lord Sesshomaru this morning, no longer shy and embarrassed. No this morning she was proud to show him how much she has grown.

She kept a light blush on her face every time she'd steal a glance at her lord after the displays of affection she had made the other other morning.

Today before leaving for Edo, she was determined to ask and invite all her demon friends to a celebration Kagome and Inuyasha were having. But most importantly she was determined to ask her lord Sesshomaru.

She needed to show and tell her lord how she truly felt and how she never wished to leave his side again. Her mind drifting off into a memory of a few nights back.

[Flashback]

As Rin patiently awaited for Inuyasha and Kagome to slip into their home to continue with their displays of affection she was shocked to see them break apart for a moment seemingly whispering to each other.

Inuyasha walked into the home with his arms folded into the sleeves of his haori.

Kagome began to walk what appeared to be towards Rin.

She ducked real low and placed her hands over her head as if it would cause her to become invisible.

"Rin? It's ok. You can come out." Kagome said slightly giggling at the silly young girl.

Rin blushed and looked up shamefully. "I wasn't trying to peep..honest... I just couldn't look away.." Rin said sadly and full of shame.

"Oh you don't have to apologize. It's alright. I could imagine you have a few questions about getting older. I can tell you have a crush ya know." Kagome sat beside the young girl trying to bring her comfort.

"What?" Rin looked to the futuristic woman confused.

"Ugh? Nothing never mind. I believe you like somebody a lot and your not quite sure how to tell them." Kagome opted to switch her words around.

Rin giggled lightly. "I knew what you meant earlier. I meant what, as in why would you think so?" Rin smiled as the older young woman held her.

"Oh!? My bad! Ugh anyways! I saw the way he makes you feel. Only a girl with a crush acts that way." Kagome said with amusement.

"Oh no! Do you think he knows to! I probably seem so foolish!" Rin held her head in shame.

"That's a horrible way to think? Look if you like him than you gotta be straightforward about it. Men like confidence and strength in a woman." Kagome smiled victoriously.

"I thought he liked submissive and proper lady like girls?" Rin questioned with her finger to her chin.

"I doubt it! He's a slayer for goodness sake! He'd want a woman by his side that can help build back up his clan or whatever." Kagome stood with her self righteous feeling.

"Yeah I guess your right?" Rin slowly made her way to stand.

What an interesting way to describe lord Sesshomaru? A slayer? I suppose he is?

Rin was soon brought from her thoughts as Kagome again began to speak.

"Look trust me! I know what I'm talking about! Lucky for you your crush is nothing like Inuyasha." Kagome patted her back and lead her to the home.

Rin blushed and followed.

Be confident! Show him how you feel! I can do this!

[End Flashback]

Rin panting heavily knew this next attack would be watched and mean victory or defeat. She focused all her attention to winning!

Buru lunged quickly at her! She dodged just in the blink of an eye and tried going for a surprise attack from behind!

Buru however anticipated such and blocked it effortlessly holding her down by her face into the ground.

He realized he must've threw her down harder than he meant to seeing how Sesshomaru reacted by squinting his eyes in anger.

Buru huffed hot air threw his nose and took leave.

Rin laid on the ground ashamed. Lord Sesshomaru was watching and she had failed. She lost and now he probably thought very little of her.

I'll never show him I am strong enough like this...

Rin sighed and brought her arm over her eyes as she caught her breath. She recalled her lessons from the morning before with lord Hagetaka.

[Flashback]

As Rin sat properly awaiting today's lessons from lord Hagetaka, she was shocked to find the lady Inukimi joining them this morning.

"Why do you fidget so child? Do you wish to relieve yourself?" Inukimi sat with a teasing grin.

"Huh? Ugh no! I'm sorry?! Hi my lady! I mean good morning my lady." Rin bowed respectfully after making a squirmish fool of herself.

"Today's lessons are in mating and copulation." Hagetaka spoke plainly. "I have asked the lady Inukimi to join us seeing that as a human girl there might be questions you have that only my lady can answer." Hagetaka said as he took out a large red book.

"Oh ok. What's copulation mean?" Rin asked innocently.

"Sex my dear child. It is a more modest term for two beings having sex. Understand now?" Inukimi held a beautifully painted paper fan over her mouth.

Rin blushed deeply. Her body immediately very interested in the subject at hand.

"I now understand the words meaning, yes and I thank you my lady. I still have many questions on the topic however.." Rin blushed as she spoke.

Inukimi grinned mischievously and began speaking her lessons on how female demons attract a male in heat.

[End flashback]

"Rin! Get up you silly girl!" Come it's time to take you home." Jaken squawked annoyingly.

"No! I need to speak with lord Sesshomaru first! Please master Jaken it's so important!" Rin begged at Jakens feet.

"Get off! No! Lord Sesshomaru is much to busy to deal with you today! Now hurry along! I don't want to be gone all day!" Jaken tried to release himself from Rins tight grasp. "Doh! Unhand me! Lord Sesshomaru isn't even here anymore! You insufferable girl!"

"What?" Rin looked above to see that her lord Sesshomaru was indeed no longer there.

Why is everything so difficult..

A/N: Hi! Sorry for the long ass lapses in updating! I'm trying to finish one of my stories so I can back into my trilogy of stories lol I also am eventually going to have to finish and rewrite the prequel to this in order for it to continue (sigh) anywho! Hope you guys like it! I truly loved Yashahime this morning killer episode!
