Looking at his reflection in the mirror for the hundredth time, Jim played with the collar of his uniform wanting it to look perfect. In just under an hour, Enterprise would arrive at Vulcan and in just over an hour, Jim was going to be meeting Spock's parents for the very first time.
To say that he was ill-prepared was an understatement. Spock tried his hardest to make him feel at ease but nothing could shake the feeling that he wasn't good enough for their son.
Exhaling the breath he had been holding, Jim decided to just do his best.
