A/N this is my first HP ff and I thought it would be original this is just the prologue and I know it's really short but there will be more to come. I hope to develop this into a full length story but tell me what you think! Please reveiw!
Prologue.
She'd never told anybody about her life before Hogwarts. Never told what she'd given up, who she'd left behind. Her parents obviously knew but she'd grown apart from them since she'd started school. Her life before… it seemed so long ago, far away. She had had her dreams, her goals, her ambitions but they'd all changed the minute that scraggy old owl had landed on the kitchen table. It was so long ago…
Her dreams had been completely different then. She'd wanted to be on stage acting, singing… PERFORMING. It was like a drug. The excitements of being up there, having people applaud you, watch you, actually enjoying your performance. Addictive. Exciting. Dramatic.
When she'd first arrived at Hogwarts she'd pretended it was a play. It helped, in a way. But soon she was stuck with the character she'd been cast as; 'The know-it-all-bookworm.' Books were just her way of getting away from real life, her mask. But she stuck with them; they were her character. She studied hard to please her parents. She didn't tell anyone but her parents were a lot stricter on her then she let on.
She graduated with honers but she could never go back to life she still dreamed of. The life of acting. Stardom. Sometimes she considered telling her friends but then decided against it. She loved her friends dearly but they wouldn't understand. Ron and Ginny hadn't known any other life and the other life Harry had he was glad to get away from. No, they wouldn't understand.
The summer after she graduated she decided to say at The Burrow with the rest of the Weasleys' until she could find a job and a place to live. Her parents had made it clear from the beginning that once she had graduated they didn't want her back. She wasn't complaining the Weasleys' home was far more cheerful then her own.
If she had known how much this summer would change her life she wondered if she would have gone back to The Burrow.
