Chapter - 3
Unlike any day of the spring, the morning was unnaturally dark. The sun which was destined to spread its rays and warmth on the surface of the earth was surprisingly blocked out of the sky by the thick blankets of black clouds.
In the midst of bad weather, when everyone was locked inside their places, and children getting scared of the loud booming cracks of thunder and the illumination of flashes of lightning. A crimson-haired girl in the school uniform standing unfazed near the open window of her clubroom. Lost in her own world, she had been staring in a daze for a while now. Without any care of getting wet.
"Rias."
A beautiful young woman with a voluptuous figure, very long black hair, and violet eyes announced her presence as she entered the clubroom. Her hair was tied in a long ponytail, reaching all the way down to her legs with two strands sticking out from the top and sloping backwards, with an orange ribbon keeping it in place.
Like most Kuoh Academy girls' uniform, She was wearing a white short-sleeved, button-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, a black button-down corset, and a magenta skirt with white accents.
Hearing her name being called, Rias averted her attention from outside to the girl standing in the clubroom.
"Oh Sorry. When did you come, Akeno?"
Seeming surprised, Rias abruptly distanced herself from the window as if she got caught doing something bad.
"Something in your mind, Rias? You have been looking lost for a few days?"
Closing the window, the Akeno named girl asked in a worried tone to her president. Ever since the battle between the fallen angel group and Rias' peerage at the church. Rias seemed to be distracted quite often. Seeing her best friend like this, Akeno couldn't stop worrying.
Perhaps, Is it because of that?
"Rias… could be… Is it about that?" Didn't want her hunch to become reality, Akeno hesitantly unveiled her thoughts.
"... "
However, much to Akeno's dismay. Rias sitting comfortably on her chair didn't deny it.
"Ah!... "
Akeno couldn't believe it. Something that was supposed to happen after graduating college in the human world seemed to be transpiring soon. Biting her lower lip in agitation for not being able to help her best friend.
Her hurt aches.
"Akeno."
Catching Akeno's attention, Rias moved around the desk to the front of it and said something to ease her best friend's worries.
"I'm not sure but Grayfia visited me last night when you went home."
Akeno gasped. "What? Grayfia-san did?"
Surprised to hear what Rias just said. Akeno became perplexed. There was nothing unusual about Grayfia coming to the human world unannounced. However, there seemed to be missing something Akeno was trying hard to find.
Before she could connect the dots and make something out of it, a white-coloured magic circle deployed in the clubroom, bringing along with it a silver-haired woman in her early thirties.
Seeing the silver-haired woman appeared in the clubroom when the classes were still ongoing. Akeno couldn't help but wonder.
"Hello, Akeno-san. It's been a while since we last met. how have you been?"
Giving her a bow, Akeno exchanged greetings with the woman and decided to ask herself. "I'm all good. What brings you here, Grayfia-san?"
Although she could hide her emotions quite well from others without breaking a sweat, she doubts it would be the same case in front of this woman. Not to mention, her racing heart dying to know the reason for her sudden visit.
"I'm here on the behalf of Gremory household and Phoenix Household to discuss the matter regarding Rias-ojousama's marriage contract."
Both Rias and Akeno frowned at the words of Grayfia.
Nodding, Rias sternly said. "Grayfia..."
BOOM!
In one of the second-year classrooms of Kuoh academy, a spiky blond-haired with three whiskers on each side of his cheeks got distracted by the rumbling of the thunder. However, that did not mean he was paying attention to the class earlier.
He sighed.
At least, the heavy rain pattering against the window and the rumble of the thunder now and then helped him to stay awake. Otherwise. He had to keep listening to the teacher's nagging for dozing off. Man, it sucks. It was annoying as hell if someone were to ask him.
Leaning on the desk, cutting himself off from class once again, he gazed outside with boredom masked all over his face.
He wondered why he was returned to this hell, called school.
Thinking of the reason, his boredom abruptly turned into anger as he recalled the very reason for him to be here, in this hell, Kuoh academy.
Fuck you! You perverted old geezer.!
As much as he wanted to yell out his thoughts, he had no choice but to keep them in his mind only.
"Tsk."
He clicked his tongue in annoyance.
He was certain Azazel knew he would get nothing out of that deal when he chose to do it without thinking rationally for once. That cunning geezer. Now he was paying for it. Why is fate so much against me? He whined comically for being stupid.
Despite having been 2 weeks, Naruto couldn't bring himself to get accustomed to this school life.
RIIIIINNNGGG!
Naruto quickly stood up from his chair as the bell rang, signalling the recess break. With a broad smile, Naruto decided to go to the canteen to buy something to fill his growling belly.
If only he could eat ramen now but the place that sells ramen was quite far away from the school.
Losing himself in his thoughts, he walked down the corridor. Man, if only I could do something fun. This school is even worse than shinobi academy.
If he wanted Naruto could've turned upside down the whole school with his pranks but considering two high-class devils along with their peerage were studying in the same school. He didn't want to invite unnecessary problems.
Looking back, if it were to be his old self. He wouldn't care about such things and would have done what his heart tells. However, he now had more responsibility on his shoulders. One stupid action might trigger something bad for his faction.
Sigh, what a fun kill.
"Hey, isn't he a new guy?"
"Yeah, never seen him. Seems to be a delinquent."
"Sshh, he might hear you."
"Whatever, he's kinda handsome and hot. Don't you think so?"
A pink hue appeared on Naruto's cheeks as he heard the whispers of the people in the corridor.
Ever since he came to this school, everyone whispered about him whenever he passed by. At first, he found it uncomfortable but now he is used to it.
Unbeknownst to him when he was lost in thoughts. At the end of the corridor, a petite girl with white hair and gold eyes watching him warily.
"It seems something has piqued your senses, Koneko-san."
Calling out a white-haired girl from behind, a young bespectacled woman with a slim figure and black hair styled in a short bob cut and violet eyes. She too stared at the back of Naruto.
Koneko bowed to the woman as she acknowledged her presence.
"It's nothing Sitri-sama for you to be concerned about."
With a monotone voice, she left no room for any further discussion. Giving a quick bow, she took her leave.
The student council president, Sona Sitri could only ponder what she just witnessed. It was not usual for the white-haired girl to take interest in another person without any reason. If her instincts would not betray her then she was certain that her childhood friend, Rias Gremory, a fellow high-class devil had caught up on the newly enrolled student.
"Buchou's problem? Maybe it has something to do with the house of Gremory."
Kiba said to his two companions walking alongside him towards the occult research club located in the old school building of Kuoh academy.
Issei Hyoudou, one of the infamous "Perverted Trio" of Kuoh academy met Kiba, a second-year student like Ise and Asia Argento, on his way.
"Akeno-san would know, right?"
Ise, being worried about Rias, asked Kiba but it seemed he didn't know it either.
Kiba nodded at Ise's question. "Akeno-san is Buchou's most trusted servant, so she obviously would know."
Ise hummed at the Kiba's word. Asking Rias directly about her problem was rude. But he became concerned about her since he was involved in something in it last night.
Only a mere thought of that, Ise began to nosebleed as the memories of last night flashed before his eyes.
PINCH
"Ouch!"
"Ise-san are you thinking about lewd stuff again?"
Asia pouted cutely as she questioned him.
Sorry Asia for showing you such a shameless side of me. Ise's shoulders dropped as out of nowhere black clouds appeared above his head.
"Now now, Ise-san no need to be sad."
Patting his shoulder as Asia tried to encourage her friend with a soft smile.
Kiba could only sweatdrop.
"Asian-san, Ise-san. Let's go, we will be late."
