When you finally woke up, the sun was almost finished setting, and you could smell something being made in the kitchen. Groggily getting out of bed, you walked downstairs, careful not to trip on the way down due to you rubbing your eyes. Arriving in the kitchen, you saw your mother and twin making dinner. "Hey, sweetheart. You're right on time, dinner's almost done. Can you set the table?" You just nodded at her request and grabbed the plates and silverware and started setting the table. Walking back into the kitchen, you see that your mom had pulled out the main dish of honey-glazed chicken from the oven and put it on the counter with the peas and the mashed potatoes. The three of you grabbed your plates, served yourself, and went back to the table so you could eat. Dinner was quiet as per usual, everyone being caught up in their own miseries to converse. "Are you two wanting to go to the assembly for Will tonight?" The sudden question made you pause and look up at the middle-aged woman. Looking over to Ezra, you notice he had also stopped eating and was looking at you, deep in thought. "Honestly, what can they say that we don't already know, besides asking for search party volunteers?" Ezra had a good point. "You don't even like the idea of us being out of the house, so personally I don't see us joining the search," you added. Your mother nodded and resumed eating. You could tell she was exhausted from the day's work, so when she was finished, you told her to leave her plate and you would clean up.
You sat at the dining room table quietly, thinking about how everything changed for you in such a short amount of time and staring off into space. Ezra and your mother had both gone to their rooms some time ago and left you deep in thought. Finally snapping out of it, you got up to gather the plates when the lights started flickering. "What the...?" you said quietly. It didn't last long but you thought it was strange, nonetheless. 'We just changed the lights three days ago and they're already going out?' Deciding to push it out of your brain, you continued to clean up and put away the leftovers. Once you were finished you decided to take a hot shower, so you walked upstairs and grabbed everything you would need. Relishing in the heat from the hot water, you stood under it and let your tense muscles start to relax. Once you were finished, you got out, put on your warmest pajamas, and got into bed. You had hoped that you didn't have another nightmare.
Finally falling asleep, you did end up dreaming, only it wasn't about the clown. It picked up where the last one left off. The clown was no longer there, and it was just you left on the sidewalk. Hearing a car engine revving, you turned your head only to see what looked like a trans am speeding by. Deciding against following it, you got up and dusted your butt off from any dust or debris that may have collected from your fall. Looking in different directions around you, you chose to continue on the way you were going, which coincidentally, was the direction the speeding car went. Turning in a different direction every so often, you somehow managed to come across what looked to be a local park. Looking around, you found a nice tree to lay underneath and just relax. The blissful quiet only lasted a few minutes before it was broken by the sound of a car's engine. Sitting up, you looked to see the car had stopped and that four boys around your age were getting out of the car. They were all pretty normal looking but one of them caught your eye. He had black hair that fell just below his jawline, and he was pretty lanky. You had no clue as to why you were so drawn to him, he was just any like any other guy. You felt as if you had known who he was. You were too lost in your thoughts to notice that the four boys had walked over and had taken a seat not too far from you. Your awareness of your surroundings became sharp when the lanky, dark-haired boy walked over to you, although you weren't paying him attention. You just brushed it off, thinking that someone else was close by when he had sat down right next to you. It wasn't until he started to speak that you finally looked at him and saw he was staring right at you, practically undressing you with his eyes. "You're new in town, huh? I would've remembered someone so delicious," he said with a sly smile and licking his thin lips. You looked over at him, confused. "Who? Me?" Pointing to yourself and looking around, you realized you and the four boys were the only ones in the park. "Obviously. Are you deaf?" he quipped back at you rather rudely. Rolling your eyes, you turned back at him and studied his face. He was attractive, with sharp features and gorgeous blue eyes. "Okay, first off, don't ever say that I'm 'delicious' ever again. Second off, who the fuck are you, and why are you speaking to me?" He smirked and looked away slightly. "Name's Patrick, and you look like you need a friend. That's why I'm here." You had noticed something ingenuine about the way he had spoken. Looking at his three friends, you saw that they were all engrossed in the current situation, which gave you all the information you needed. You turned back to him and took note of how he was looking at you. Before anything else could happen, you woke up, confused as to how uneventful the dream you had was, especially since it seemed to connect with the other dream you had. You decided that if your next dream somehow connected to the other two, you would start to document them. You went back to sleep with a terrible feeling that things within your own life were about to get even more interesting.
