A few hours after Bloom had awoken, she and the others were on their way to the pyramids.
"I always wondered about the Aztecs and why they mysteriously vanished, but to think they had such a history with the magical universe," said Techna.
"What's wrong, Bloom?" asked Sky as he noticed the distant look in her eyes as she sat next to him.
"It's nothing," said Bloom.
"That's not going to work on us, Bloom, we've all known you long enough to realize when something is weighing on your mind," said Stella.
"Stella's right, and you can talk to any of us about it," said Riven.
"I'm just worried that things like this will continue to get in our way," said Bloom while messing with her ring.
"That no matter what we do there will always be someone trying to rule the universe or destroy it entirely," she said.
"Hey," said Sky while reaching over to take hold of her hand.
"We'll get through this and make it to our wedding, and then we'll face anything that comes at us like we always have," he said while smiling at her.
"Thanks, Sky," said Bloom with a smile. They both then shared a quick kiss before hearing Timmy call out from the driver's seat.
"Everyone, take a seat, we're about to start landing," said Timmy. As everyone took their seats and buckled up, not one of them noticed Bloom slipping her ring off.
"I'm sorry, Sky, but I have no choice this time around," thought Bloom while placing the ring in a small pocket on her seat.
"This is a fight that only I can finish on my own," she thought while looking out the front window at the pyramids which were still in the distance as they were landing a couple of yards away.
