Tohru hummed as she made dinner. With both children in school now, she had more time to herself. It was lonely at times but then she thought back to the conversation she and Kyo had had about silence and simply smiled. Kyoko was as strong headed as ever and Kazuma spent his time with his head buried in his books. He loved to write stories and she was sure that he would become an author one day. Kyo had tried to get him interested in martial arts but then Kyoko had stomped on his foot while exclaiming that SHE was going to be the only martial arts trainee in the house. It was given up and Kyo was now very happy with how things were going. Kyoko would be fierce and Kazuma would be famous. They could ask for nothing more. A pair of strong arms wrapped around her waist, jarring her back to reality.

"Hey there. Your food will burn if you keep acting like a space cadet."

She snapped back to attention and stirred the soup she was currently making. Kyo noticed something was wrong and pulled her closer.

'What's the matter?"

She shook her head.

"It's nothing."

"No. Something is wrong so tell me or I'll tickle it out of you."

She smiled and decided to tell him now.

"Remember how we talked about finally having quiet?"

He nodded and she moved one of the hands around her waist so that it lay on top of her stomach.

"It won't be quiet for very much longer."

His eyes widened as her meaning sunk in.

"You mean…"

She nodded nervously and he pulled away. After a heart stopping second, he threw his hands in the air.

"YES!"

She smiled. "Then you like it?"

He ran a hand through his hair and grinned at her.

"I didn't want to say anything but I was getting bored with the two always being so quiet. With Kyoko at Katsuya's all the time and Kazuma always quiet from reading books, there's no challenge anymore."

It was true. The children were now teenagers and Kyo and Yuki had to deal with each other even more since their children were dating. Kyo had threatened Katsuya and Yuki had threatened Kyo but Tohru made the final decision. She had simply sat back and stated that it was like her parents all over again and then burst into tears of happiness.

Kyo happily looked over at Tohru and pulled her in for a hug.

"Thank you."

She giggled. "For what? You knocked me up."

He laughed at the way she used Shigure's phrasing and then groaned. She looked up at him.

"What?"

He rolled his eyes.

"Now we have to call Ayame."

Tohru pulled away to go get some aspirin for Kyo while he made a phone call to Ayame. She was sure that he would need it.
