Chapter 22: Love, War, Heartache and Romance

Ansels words echo in my head.

"You wanted to know about how all of this, how the origins of the war began between wolves and vampires came to be?" He says with a pause. "It was all for the love of one witch."

Suddenly my heart sinks deep into the pit of my stomach. The love of a witch caused all of this? All this destruction was caused by love? My heart broke for everyone involved. What should have been a private matter turned into a war. My heart broke for the original siblings and the children after that, the people that were casualties of the wolf verses vampire war.

Ansel smiles sadly my way. "Don't look too sad Bonnie, all of this lead to where you are now, as Queen of the supernatural world. Our war was meant to be, so you could save us all."

I know his words were suppose to be comforting, however it only managed to remind me of what I held in my hands once again. I could only hope I was as good of a leader as everyone seemed to believe I would be.

"Shall we begin?"

I nod and Ansel reclines back in his chair, eyes closed his begins to speak.

"When I met her, it wasn't love at first sight or anything really. She was to be betrothed to my friend whom I had known since boyhood. For a long time my interaction was solely based on my friendship with Mikael. He, for a time adored her. It didn't matter that she was wealthier than he, or that her family was a bunch of stuck up witches." He says with a slight smirk on his lips.

When he catches eyes with her he can see what had drawn his son to Bonnie Bennett, she was quiet fury, thunder on a hot day and you could see that all in the eyes. "Still you fell in love with her?" I asked.

He nods his head. "Yeah." He quirks his lips up into a smile. "And she fell in love with me." He chuckles. "Despite everything I had thrown her way. First I had said that Mikael had deserved someone better than her. That he deserved a wife that had spine." He chuckles. That only ticked her off.

Ansel Flashback

"Listen here princess," He says with a sneer. "I have no interest on striking a deal with your family. The wolves will not be tamed." He says looking her up and down. "Now, good day." He says giving her a bow before walking through the trees. He had stuff to do that did not include Amelia.

"Where do you think you're going?" Amelia asked as the two of them trudged back to the village. Why she decided to follow him was beyond her.

"Far away from you, princess." He says breezily without looking back. Just as he was posed to loop past another tree he found Amelia standing in front of him hands on her hips, eyes wild with anger as her hair swirled from the wind.

"You will not speak to me with such disrespect. Do you know who I will become?"

He nods his head. "Of course, everyone does, but you know what I see," He says tauntingly. "I see a girl who will remain under the thumb of her family...under the crown." Pause. "And yet you are supposed to be rule the supernatural world, how can you without a spine?" He taunted a smile on his lips.

The slap was sudden and welcomed. It caused him to take a step back. "Well, well looks like you're more than a pretty face. You're gonna need it if you plan to take your place as immortal witch."

And with that he walked away.

End of flashback

I couldn't help but let out a tiny gasp it appeared that not all love stories started out with hearts and flowers. Especially those involving witches and werewolves. "That's quite the introduction." I say causing Ansel to grin in response.

"You know what they say about witches and wolves we always follow the two f's." He says letting his words hang. "And then after the fighting and," he sensors his words knowing she got what he was saying. "Screwing," He grins. "We go hand in hand."

A grin finds it's way to my lips as Ansel continues. He was right, about the fight and the makeup after that was enough to do it all over again.

"I didn't like her too much when we met." He says as his hands slide along the desk. " She was too busy playing this role of someone she wasn't and I could see right through it." He chuckles. "I wasn't the only one though, Mikael saw that she wanted to please him and that's when things began to change. He became power hungry and she, offered him the world as long as he gave her his love."

Ansel Flashback

The creek was a place he liked to visit, it gave him peace of mind and since tonight was a full moon he needed all the peace he could get. He liked the sound of the water rushing, of nature in its element.

In the distant he hears heavy footsteps and knows who it is immediately. A lot has changed in the past two years. Amelia had not only married Mikael but the two of them had created a family together. However everything was not all that glittered within the Mikaelson home. He had learned that Mikael had lost interest in his wife, seeking other things to curb his appetite. Bloodlust and lust for more was plaguing his friend and it was tearing apart the woman he had sworn to love.

"Shouldn't you be back at the manor?" He asked to the air. Soon though, Amelia appeared hair a mess around her shoulders.

"Elijah is taking a nap while the nurse looks after him."

"And your husband?" He asked his back now turned to her once again.

Amelia fidgeted if only for a second before speaking"Gone. He went traveling with father."

"And you're here with me?"

"Tonight is a full moon and I can help you get through it." She admitted.

He stopped looking at the water and looked her way. "I don't need or want your help. You should get home to your child and wait for your husband."

She glared his way almost causing him to turn to stone.

"You need my help and with my magic I can make this easier on you."

He mulls over her words. "Why?"

"Because we're friends. You may pretend that you look after Elijah and I, for Mikael but I know you do it because you care." She says placing her hand on top of his. "And I care about you too."

End of flashback

He stands suddenly as if he can't breathe. That was the night it had started. They had an understanding, a friendship that was unconventional but it worked.

"When she had Klaus and than later Rebekah, I realized I needed to cut my losses. I had fallen in love with a woman who was set to lead our world. She was also the wife of my best friend. It took me a long time to leave. In fact I had stayed till the children were old enough for her to take care of them without extra help when Mikael had disappeared.

I had told the children as a group that I was leaving for fresh life and promised that I would always come a visit them. When I told her, everything changed.

Ansel Flashback

I wiped my mouth after finishing the last bit of lamb. "Thank you for inviting me to dinner."

She only looked back with a smile on her lips. "You're part of this family too, besides the children adore you." Pause. "Almost as much as the harlots that live in town."

He chuckles. "Harlots?"

"Yes, they are drawn to you like bears are to honey."

He chuckles. "You don't have to worry about me Amelia, I can take care of myself.

She looks away. "That is what I am afraid of."

He knew Amelia well enough to know that this was his time to speak his truth.

"Mikael should be returning tomorrow and then I will take my leave." He says matter of fact.

The witches brew in her hand falls with a thud. She faces him with wild angry eyes. "Your leave?"

"Yes." he says quickly." As neither race to clean up the mess. Instead he finds himself drawn to her face as he tries to memorize every detail of it. He flexes his hand as if to remember how her skin feels under his fingertips.

Seconds past before he speaks again.

"It is far time I went it alone." He says looking elsewhere.

"You can't- you can't just leave what about the children? They love you?"

He smiles fondly. "And I love them." He says softly. "But it is time that I seek my own life outside of the Mikaelson family."

He waits for her to says something but all she does is began to pick up the broken glass.

"You can't be serious about leaving? Where will you go? Who is going to help you during the full moon?" she asked ridding the floor of broken glass.

He chuckles. "I'm a wolf Amelia, and I'll find my own way."

Annoyed she stands and glares his way. "So you're just going to leave?" She asked running her hands through her thick hair. "You're just going to leave us, forget about us and start a new."

He knows what she's trying to do and won't allow it. His heart constructs in his chest at the thought of saying goodbye to all of them, but it was for the best.

Hesitantly he steps close to her. "You were never suppose to be mine." He says touching her face. "Perhaps in another life, it would be you and I, and the children."

Tears spring from her eyes. "Ansel." She says her voice a whisper.

He takes a step back. "That would have been a wonderful life." He says letting her go.

She watches as he's posed to go. "You can't go! Niklaus! Niklaus is going to need you," She says swallowing hard. "He's going to need his father.

End of flashback

At his final words a chill run down my arms.

I watch as Ansel walks over to the drink cart to fix himself a drink. Silently he offers one to me in which I decline. The man before me looks almost haunted as he takes in a deep breath and looks outside the window. It's tragic because I can see just by the pure change in him that this...this thing with Amelia still has a hold over him.

I bite my lip and soon find my words. "We don't have to continue if this is difficult for you."

He turns around sharp, a smile on his face though I can see through it. "Nonsense, you want to know how this war started between vampires and werewolves and my story is th beginning of it." Ansel says matter of fact.

"Now, where was I?" He says finally meeting my eyes again.

"Amelia had just asked you to stay for the children... more importantly for Klaus." I remind him.

He smiles again and shakes his head. "I didn't believe her at first, I thought she was lying, that she was just trying to keep me under her thumb just as Mikael and her father Victor had kept her.

I furrow my eyebrows. "But blood calls to blood, wouldn't you be able to feel it?"

For a fraction of a second his mask falters and I see his real pain, pain that he still feels.

"I should've known that– I'm a wolf for goodness sake, I should've felt something more, but her parents." He pauses and turns to look at me. "It wasn't easy for a witch and a wolf back then, it's gotten much better but some people don't accept change."

I shifted in my seat, somehow I knew those words were made for me and only me. Klaus and I were in a very high profile marriage and that came with a lot of scrutiny.

"Bonnie," Ansel calls causing me to look up. "Their will be people outside of you and Klaus that do not approve of two of you for various reasons. You are a witch, the future of the supernatural world and Klaus," He pauses with his brow furrowed. "He is a hybrid with a notorious past. People will try to tear you apart, some even from within- but what you must never do, is stop trusting each other."

I swallow hard. He didn't have to tell me about people judging me, I had been judged my whole life. It comes with the territory. "Is that what happen with Amelia?"

A wistful look crosses his face. "Her parents suspected we were having relations and put a spell on him while he was in her womb to give off the scent of Amelia and her bloodline. I didnt find out to he was much older and for that I blamed her."

The look on his face is of pure sadness.

Unable to stop myself I reach out and touch his hand. "For what it's worth, it doesn't seem to matter when Klaus found out you were his father, because he thinks the world of you– even if he doesn't say it."

He smiles now looking so much like Klaus. "I can see why my son is so captured by you. You're beautiful, but that heart you've got leaves a man speechless."

I felt my face grow hot at his words. I was far from perfect Klaus had known that first hand. In fact he had seen all sides of me, the awful, the careless, happy and sad. But Klaus, he stuck by me, no matter what.

Suddenly I stand, seeing the pain that is reflected in his eyes. It seemed that so many years later Ansel was still very connected to his feelings for Amelia. It kind of reminded me of the Salvatore brothers. I guess some people were harder to shake then others when matters of the heart were involved.

"Thank you for you time." I say as Ansel presses a kiss to my hand.

He backs away. "The pleasure was all mine." Pause. "He's happy, I can see it– I can smell it and I have you to thank, so thank you- thank you for making my son happy."

I mutter a shy goodbye and soon disappear in search of Klaus.

Klaus

When they reach the cabin, the door swings open revealing his oldest werewolf friend Smooth! The silver haired man was one of the smoothest people he had ever met, yet the reason he was nicknamed smooth. He had watched the wolf charm plenty of women in his time without raising his voice above a whisper. He was that good.

"And here I thought my ears were going on me!" The wolf says opening his arms out wide. "But look at you- dimples on full display."

Within a blink he hugs the bulky man, who still carries a Louisiana twang to his voice. It was good to see him, it had been far too long since he had seen his old friend, and after looking at him real good he decided that he needed to venture out here more often. Smooth was one of the handful of people he trusted and cared about just like Summer.

Smooth lets out a fully belly laugh as Klaus gives him a tight hug. The laughter only last a few moments before a fit of coughs begin.

Well aware of the eyes on him the wolf speaks. "It's just a little cough, surly not enough to stop me from enchanting your bride." He drawls.

He smiles again. That was what he had been doing a lot lately, especially since things had shifted in his direction with Bonnie.

Once again he takes the time to look his old friend up and down. Smooth is wearing a white shirt with suspenders and blue jeans. His white hair is covered by a newsboy hat. "You can certainly try but I have on good authority she's satisfied with the man she's with."

"And I will try pretty boy." Is all the wolf says before gesturing for he and Summer to join him inside.

He lets Summer go in before him and soon settles his eyes over the cabin. A bowl of gumbo sits on a t.v. tray while a cup of red roobios tea sits next to it.

The smell of sickness is all around him and he doesn't like it. Not for Smooth. He doesn't like that this thing is plaguing him and wants to destroy it at once. "How long have you been feeling unwell?"

Stubbornly Smooth speaks. "It's a cold."

Crossing his arms he speaks. "It's bronchitis." He grits with a forlorn expression.

Walking to the kitchen, the sick wolf speaks. "You're fussing over me, when you should be fussing over that wife of yours. She's a beauty." The wolf says with wiggled eyebrows. He had watched the crowning and let out a loud hoot at seeing Klaus up with the elders.

Catching eyes with Summer he motions for her to help with the sweet potato pie that is in the oven. Seconds later he's placed some of his blood, in the gumbo and tea. Later on he'll talk to Bonnie about a healing spell.

"My wife is with Ansel." He calls out conversationally.

"How long you gonna be down here?" The wolf asks before eating a spoonful of gumbo, followed by a gulp of tea.

He shrugs and scratches his jaw. "A couple of days."

"Good." Smooth smiles. "That way it'll give your blood time to rejuvenate me and I can take your bride dancing."

Summer from her position in the big chair lets out a snort. "This should be good." She says ignoring the sharp look her way.

He shows his fangs causing his longtime friend to chuckle.

Bonnie

After my talk with Ansel I'm greeted with the sight of the bodyguards that Klaus had insisted follow me around. This was a safe place, but Klaus was Klaus and you could never really tell him nothing.

"Seriously, I thought you all were going to mingle?" I ask once the bodyguards flank to both of my sides. We have this jovial banter that always starts the same way.

"Mr. M, said when you move, we move."

I place my hands on my hips. "You know this is crazy!"

When I get nothing in return I run my hands through my hair.

I turn and look at both of the guards. "Your boss is a lunatic!" I remind and get nothing in reply. They are far too use to my words. By now they probably are trying to figure out of the two of us, Klaus and myself and who indeed is crazier.

The head of security finally gives me a crumb. "Boss is a bit overbearing and a tad bit crazy but you already know that." He says matter of fact.

When I glare his way, he chuckles. Luther was a army vet before becoming a hybrid is Klaus's top guy and he didn't take crap for a single person. I liked him for it. He was straight up and it was comforting not to see someone phony. I suspected that's what Klaus liked about him as well.

"Listen, I know you hate having guards but look at it this way, soon the elders will step in and appoint you your royal guards." Luther reminds me.

At the mention my stomach drops. I would prefer to be with people I at least knew and trusted then to be assigned some new bodyguards. Despite the hard time I give the guys, I trusted them and that was all that mattered.

"This won't be forever." Luther continues. "As for the time being, I won't have to listen to Klaus scream if you just let me protect you."

Despite everything I find myself agreeing with him. "Fine. You win." I say causing him to let out a breath. "However, if Klaus ever asks you–,"

Catching on he nods. "I'll tell him you gave me hell."

I could only grin. "Thanks!" I pause. "We can't let him think he can run my life." I say as Luther walks with me toward the festivities.

The guard chuckles. "Of course not."

We share a small conspiring smile before going forward. Ansel had mentioned a welcome to the pack celebration was slated in the coming days. "You think boss will enjoy the festivities?" Luther asks.

I grin looking at him. "The man loves to praised and worshiped, he's gonna love it." I say causing the two of us to laugh.

As soon as the words were spoken, I spotted him. Klaus with his permanent smile and dimples on display. He had his head thrown back laughing which was something that seemed to happen here. And with him was a man with white hair and round body. Of course to round out the trio was Summer. Who has her arm draped around Klaus. It seemed they had made up from earlier, which is lovely.

Here I was, in another town where I had literally known, Klaus, Ansel and the guards and he's letting this girl all but feel him up. After Ansel had told me his story my stomach was in knots and seeing Klaus so friendly with another woman, it made me feel a certain way. I didn't trust her, not one bit.

The very moment I laid eyes on her I knew she was going to be a problem. Summer, was one of those women that was always in competition and had a knack for starting trouble. She was entitled, that much I could tell. She and Elena probably had a lot in common. I thought bitterly.

I narrow my eyes at the scene. Summer is too close to my husband for my liking. And that little smirk on her lips tells me she's throwing down the gauntlet. If she only knew how quick I could make him fall apart, with my hands, mouth, or body. Maybe that would wipe that damn smirk off her lips. I thought saucily.

As if Klaus heard my thoughts, which was kind of freaky, he looked up and caught eyes with me. He winked before walking our way rather merrily with his mates at his side. I jutted out my chin and put on my don't ever let them see you sweat face and grinned saucily.

"They're she is." Klaus says wrapping an arm around me. He brings me close to him and puts his nose in my hair. When he pulls back his dimples are on full display once again.

"And here you are." I say turning around in his arms to face him. "I thought you ran away and forgot all about me." I say with a tilt of the head. My fingers play with his necklaces.

"As if that would ever happen." Klaus says grabbing my chin and placing a scorching kiss to my lips that was meant for the world to see. Catching where he was going I indulged myself in him for longer than one may have expected. As time went on, my mind got hazy because the hybrid had a magnificent tongue, one that would send plenty of women to the insane asylum. His swift tongue is pulling me under quickly.

A throat clearing causes me to break away from him, which causes Klaus to smirk. We turn back to his friends who are looking at us expectantly, well at least the guy is, Summer won't look at us long.

Smooth smiles. "Forgive him, his mother never taught him manners."

I felt my body stiffen. I thought all mentions of Amelia was banned? It appears this dude has the okay because Klaus didn't flip. No instead he tosses his head back and laughs.

"Are you that needy, that I can"t reacquaint myself with my wife?"

Smooth tosses his hand up in the air as if to continue. "Go about it, we'll pretend we aren't listening all the while talking about other things." He says dismissively.

Klaus soon pulls me off in the distance though not too far away from everyone.

"How did everything go with Ansel?" Klaus asks, his eyes trained on me. He's so open here so much lighter. It was like being here made him different. He wasn't angry, or plotting...well at least not to my knowledge.

"Cool." I say placing my hand on his chest. My eyes searching look at him noticing just how good he looks. I really like the stubble and of course his Henley, jeans and boots make him look like the rebel he is. "What have you been up to?"

He tilts his head back. "Relishing being the talk of the town of course."

I bring my hands up around him to stroke the nape of his neck. "Well, I'm sure that just rubbed your ego the right way?" I ask with an arch of the brow. Our bodies are flushed together as we speak almost in a hush whisper.

He licked his lips causing my eyes to follow. I could tell he was up to something by the way his eyes held a flash of yellow in them. He had a wicked gleam that just spelled trouble. "I like it better when you rub against me." Klaus says boldly and to prove his point his pulls me closer so that our bodies are colliding closer than before.

"Show off." I mutter as he spins me around. He positions me in front of him with his hands on my waist. His warm hand splays against my hip setting off tingles in my skin.

"Tease." He says in my ear. "That kiss, you did all of that on purpose, so this is all your fault." He says nudging me again so that his length is more pronounced against me. "It's only fair that you have mercy on me and give me what I desperately need."

I turn around to face him again, suddenly feeling better. I didn't want to get caught up in my own head, more so I didn't want to make something out of nothing.

"Against this tree?" I ask indulging in his playful demeanor. My magic flares and he soon against the tree. When I invade his space, Klaus licks his lips.

He smirks. "Whenever, wherever you like." Smile. "It is my duty as your very willing and able husband."

I tug on his chin hair. "You are such a pervert." I say leaning close to him.

"Just for you Love." Klaus says placing a kiss to my forehead. He takes a hold of my hand and brings it between the two of us. "It's all for you."

When we catch eyes again a grin forms on my lips. "Good" I say placing my lips on his.

BB-KM-BK

Hand in hand Klaus walks us back to his friends, who were playing dominos till we interrupted the game.

"Forgive me, love" He says affectionately looking at me then at his friends. "Let me introduce you to my mate."

Summer downs her drink. "Well that didn't last to long, I guess the bewitchment doesn't last forever."

I can see it in her eyes she's jealous and normally I would have gladly yanked her. However I was a lady, and I held the crown. People weren't going to like me and I wasn't going to like everyone and that was life. However, I would make sure she got an eyeful all the while displaying as much grace as I could through gritted teeth.

"Hush now Summer! We're lucky Klaus didn't just take his woman back to the cabin for some good lovin." Smooth says with a glare. "The last time this place was buzzing like this was ages ago."

I can tell Klaus is mad again by the way he's glaring at Summer. Seeing this, I use my left hand to cup his face and turn it my way. I let her get a good look at my ring at that. "You gonna introduce me to your friend or,"

He chuckles. "Bonnie this is Smooth...er Michael. Smooth this is Bonnie."

Smooth brings me into a hug like Ansel had done earlier. "Thanks for taking this wild boy off our hands." Smooth says into my ear. "Thanks for making him smile." The older man says with a wink.

Klaus wraps an arm around me. "You're calling me a wild boy," He chuckles. "If you only knew half the things I've witnessed from this one." He says kissing the back of my neck. "She's a wild one." He says endearingly.

Smooth watches with delight. "Good, that way you can keep him on his toes. He deserves that after all the hell he's put everyone else through." He says grinning over at Klaus who just rolls his eyes playfully.

BB-KM-BK

Sometime later Smooth has introduced us all to his newest batch of peach moonshine and the four of us are sitting at picnic table. People have plates and plates filled with food. My plate is filled with Klaus thought I'd like the most. I think he thinks I'm eating for triplets or something because he's piled on the food. In fact he going back for more and Summer is quick on his heels.

At the sight of them, I felt my throat go tight but still managed to put a smile on my face. In the back of my head the buzzing of what had happen with Salvatore brothers had still left me raw. The last thing I wanted was what had happen with Salvatore brothers to happen again.

"Nothing ever happen between the two of them, if your wondering." Smooth says followed by taking a healthy gulp of moonshine.

I open my mouth ready to refute his words but Smooth gives me a knowing look. Instead I sip out of my mason jar.

"I–"

"It's okay, your young and he's over a thousand years old." He says softly. Smooth waves his hand around. "They can't hear you- the little bit of magic I have left cast a silence spell the moment they left."

I let out a sigh I didn't know I needed to let out. "She's in love with him isn't she?" I ask leaning forward. Suddenly I'm reminded of Ansel, Amelia and Mikael. Or the Salvatores, Elena, me and Klaus. The mere thought left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Smooth takes his time wiping his mouth. "Maybe. But he's in love with you." He says reaching out to touch my hand. "Hold onto that on the days when insecurities try to weigh down on you. Know that- that egomaniacal, homicidal hybrid is in love with you."

My eyes get a bit misty at his words. Klaus had always been real, always been open, I was the one that had always pushed him away. I didn't want to do that anymore. I wanted to be as open with him as he had always been with me.

I place my other hand on top of his. "You're a warlock?" I ask changing the subject.

He chuckles. "I'm a warlock/ wolf hybrid." He admit. "My mother was a wolf and my father a warlock." He smiles. "They had me and sometime down the line I stopped aging."

"Really?" I asked truly interested. I was interested in learning all I could about the people who I represented as Queen.

"Someday, I'll tell you about it." Smooth says softly.

"Ok." I say easily. "But first, lets clear up that bronchitis." I say reaching across the table and touching his chest.

BB-BB-BB

When Klaus and Summer come back Smooth and I are laughing.

"What's so funny?" Klaus asks sitting on the bench and then pulling me into his lap.

"Smooth and I were comparing our war stories over your infamous temper." I say tilting back into his chest.

Summer takes a seat across from us. "It is rather notorious."

Smooth shakes his head. "I still can't believe he got you to marry his crazy ass." Smooth is saying when I finally tune back into the conversation.

Klaus who is keeping me very close, chuckles as he brings my hand up to kiss it. "What can I say, I always get what I want." He say now looking over at me. "And the very moment I laid eyes on her- I knew I wanted her." He says placing sizzling kiss on my neck. I tilt my head to the side where he lets his fangs graze my skin.

Smooth grins "Oh wee, and you got her." He says looking between the two of them. It easy to see why Klaus and his bride fit together, the power that radiates off of them is like a magnet drawing your attention. But what he likes more is, the carefree look he see's on his old friend.

I watch the people around us, Summer and Smooth and they seem interested in a good story. They have a glass of moonshine in their hands hanging on every word that comes tumbling out of Klaus's mouth.

"I of course laid eyes on him and decided I needed to go in the opposite direction." I say causing Summer to nearly spit out her drink. Smooth only rubs his hand together. "I knew he was trouble from the jump." I say with a smirk of my own.

"Are you telling us you turned him down?" Summer says looking back at Klaus who now had his hand twirling in the witches hair. "I'm sure that went lovely." she say dryly.

I finish off my moonshine and eye Summer of the rim of my glass jar. "He took one look at me and underestimated me. Many do," I say pausing. "He thought I'd fall for his charms and into his bed with a flash of dimples and a pout of those red lips." I say threading my left hand with Klaus. If he's noticed the power play he says nothing, no instead he places a kiss to the back of my neck.

"You wouldn't be the first." Summer mutters.

I could hear her loud and clear and the hold that Klaus had on my hair stopped. I could tell he was tense and I realized now more than ever, I needed this girl to know exactly who I was. "True," I say leaning forward from my position in my husbands lap. "But I am the last."

Check and checkmate.

Klaus can only smirk. Summer needed to be put in her place and Bonnie had done it smoother then he ever could. In fact the little sparing session had only made him want to take his wife to the cabin they were staying at and bend her over on every available surface. Feisty Bonnie had always been his favorite.

He could practically taste her power as it rolled off of her. And what made it even more appealing was that his wife was staking her claim on him. It made his long dead heart swell. His eyes ran over her, as her skin nearly glowed and her body sent out a message to his. She was calling out to him and he wondered if she even knew it.

The moment he got her alone he'd slant his mouth over hers, and have her crying out for more. He'd go so deep, she'd never think of anything or anyone but him. They would go round for round taking turns making the other fall apart the best way they could. He could practically taste it all on his tongue right now.

"For what it's worth you were the most difficult to attain." Klaus says against my ear. He licks the shell my ear. "You made it the hardest." He says knowing that his friends and everyone else can hear him very well. I turn my head his way to see his eyes are bluer than ever and his fangs are definitely showing.

Smooth claps his hands. "Well however it happen, I'm glad it happen." The wolf says sincerely. He then stands. "To Klaus and his bride, may you be blessed with a marriage filled with love, longevity and lots of pups in the future." The wolf says holding up his moonshine.

When the toast is over I find myself getting caught up in denim blue eyes.
