Chapter 28: The echo of my heart

I had thought after Klaus and I had finally settled everything regarding Damon and Summer that we would go back to the carnival and Ansel. However, the look in his eyes had told me a completely different story. It was a story that was filled with skin to skin contact, where I would lose my breath and then gain it all over again. A story where sweaty limbs collided in exquisite ways causing a state of euphoria to follow.

"What about Ansel, he's waiting for us." I say as Klaus bends down close to my ear.

"He'll have to wait, your all mine." He says, punctuating his words by licking the shell of my ear.

When we did pass Ansel on our way back from our walk Klaus had said something to him in another language that had the wolf grinning from ear to ear.

Mystic Falls- Salvatore Home-

Victoria

Flashback

She had watched nearly speechless as the mess unfolded before her. Here she was united with her sons after so long to see what they had become. What was worst was the mere fact that neither Damon nor Stefan cared about the people they hurt around them. No, they just wanted to win. This was Giuseppe all over again.

"I cannot believe I ever thought the two of you were my friends." Lucy says eyes glistening with tears. "I trusted you!" Lucy yells pointed between her sons. "I trusted the both of you with everything because you were my friends." The girl scoffs. "Never again."

For a brief moment she can hear Giuseppe she can even see him. She's lost in time as she remembers the way he spoke to her, the violence and how he justified everything.

Her beautiful boys had learned from the best. And now they were men who were just as callous as Giuseppe.

"You went to far."

"As if you could talk."

End of flashback

After witnessing the pure destruction that were her sons Victoria Salvatore could only think of one thing and one thing only that could facilitate the fracture of her family...and that one thing was therapy.

While her sons were too busy pointing fingers as to how and why they had gotten to this place in their relationship, she was busy speaking with the elder in a request for a formal therapist. The result had been an appointment with the much sought after and renowned supernatural therapist and regent of New Orleans Vincent.

The urgency had come strictly after the horror that had occurred between Lucy Bennett, her sons and later her Damon and Stefan together. It appeared to her that they had a lot of problems to unpack and seeming that she had not been present for most of those issue someone needed to be a mediator of some sort. If only she could Lucy to join in to speak her peace...however that thought died just as quick as she thought it.

"Damon, Stefan come down I'd like to speak with you." Victoria calls after a long while. Vincent should be here any minute and what she didn't want was for her boys to start trouble with him. He was known not to play and that was exactly what the Salvatore family needed at this point in time.

Stefan was the first to pop up, it seemed he was learning spells on teleport and just kind of appeared out of nowhere. Damon, however was taking his time, his ear was glued to a phone while he spoke in hushed tones.

"I'm so glad the two of you could pull yourselves away from the destruction you've caused long enough to speak with your mother." she says earning twin looks from her boys.

Damon was the first to speak. "It's not like we aren't happy your home with us, I am so glad your home." He says finally putting the phone back in his pocket, I just wish you were here when things were much calmer."

Stefan only snorts. "Translation when he wasn't chasing another mans puss, but let be honest it's the only kind you like."

Blue eyes frost over. "Say that to my face, Lucy isn't here to distract us now, we can go if you want to." He says motioning for Stefan to come over.

Stefan shrugs his shoulders. "Why would I? Especially when the countdown is on for your head on the silver platter."

Damon chuckles. "If I go down, I'm bringing you with me."

She lets out a loud whistle causing both men to look at her quizzically. "I'm going out, and when I return I'm bringing a guest back so this," She says pointing to the two of them. "Needs to pulled together real quick."

Bonnie and Klaus

Mine

The words were whispered just before mouths collided hungrily. Fingers that had been gentle earlier were now rougher as clothes were snatched off. Eyes catch in this moment, amber colliding with forest green, while matching smiles form on plump lips.

"Your mine Bonnie, always...forever." He says eyes alight as he takes hold of my waist with one large hand. He brings me flush against him, fire in his eyes.

Typically the finality in his words would cause me to clam up, to even push him away. I had done it many times. Whenever I felt like his feelings for me were too overbearing I would run. But I had meant it when I said, I wouldn't run anymore.

We were in this together.

My long manicured nails had partially ripped through a Henley giving way to a naked chest that was quickly adorned with kisses. Slowly ever so slowly, I divest him of what separating us from skin to skin contact. If I was his, then he was sure as heck going to be mine.

A low groan escapes him followed by a growl as a skilled hand moves up, down and then stops all together.

"Mine." I say repeating his words.

This time when our mouths meet its much more gentler, though the taste of blood is still lingering from the harsh kiss we shared earlier, the pace is slower more languid.

Strong arms envelop me as we're dashed from one room to under the spray of the shower.

"Mine, mine, all mine."

The words are said as we fit together like a lock and key. My back is against the tile while we're locked together before so effortlessly. Mouths are teasing, tasting, as tongues dance like our lower halves.

"Mine"

Slow hands rest upon my hips as he moves behind, a cry escaping my mouth at how deliciously it feels to be filled, wanted, forgiven and loved.

"Mine."

The word is sang between a chorus of moans and groans before our worlds collide.

Finally after breaths are finally caught the only word that seems to make sense, is the one breathed between the two of us. "Your's" I say suddenly causing amber eyes that had returned to denim blue to go soft.

"Your's." He echos as we hold each other for dear life.

Mystic Falls- Mystic Falls

Victoria

Sitting on a park bench she tapped her fingers against her phone. The fact that the elders had sent in the best psychologist should've made her elated, instead she grew weary by the minute. Vincent Griffith, she heard did not play when it came to dealings of the supernatural and she had just hoped that her boys were open to hear the warlock out.

"You must be Victoria." Turning around Victoria did her best not to blush. Standing behind her a cup of coffee in his hand, a scarf wrapped around his neck, a navy shirt, grey pants, and black boots stood the very handsome Vincent Griffith.

"Pleased to meet you." She says as he reaches out to shake her hand.

"Likewise." He says soon joining her on the park bench. He pulls his satchel over his shoulder opening up a notebook ready to listen to her every word. "So I heard about your sons," He says frankly. "Normally they would've been on the waiting list, but when the Elders call, I answer." He says briefly.

She nods. "Thank you for coming all this way."

He looks up. "I heard they were some disrespectful shits, I hope you know that I plan on straightening that out real quick."He admits. Nothing irritates his more than vampires who are nearly two hundred years old and still acting like the very same age they were once they were turned. He could not stand when people had no growth or character development.

She picks at her nails. "Do whatever you need to do. I just know that my boys," She says with a sigh. "They need help. They weren't always like this- vampire life it changed them, left them bitter and cold."

He studies her for a moment. "Is that your reasoning for the attack on Bonnie Bennett?" when she opens her mouth he continues. "Your son Stefan wanted to trade her for his dead lover. And your other son Damon was suppose to be guardian of the Bennett line and yet..."

"I don't–"

He shakes his head. "They have to want this, because if not we're gonna have a problem." He says cracking a grin. "The elders want them to straighten up, I can do that– but they have to want to do good, want to be better or it's a waste of my time"

Victoria lets out a painful sigh. Would her sons do this, maybe- possibly, she wasn't quite sure. But the one thing she knew needed to happen was the Salvatore family, needed therapy as soon as possible.

"I'm ready to do what I have to do, even if that requires tough love." Victoria admit straightening her back. "Whatever you need me to do, anything I need to do to help, I will."

Vincent looks up suddenly surprised at the sudden change of events. At first the Salvatore matriarch seemed unsure, now though a fire was lit, and all he ever needed was a spark to start a blaze. "Alright then."

Bonnie

After spending most of the day at odds, once we were alone Klaus and I had made up for numerous times over.

Wrapped up in a fluffy white robe, I bite back down a grin as Klaus wonder in, bathed in his own dark blue robe. After such a workout he had opted to go get something for me to eat, even though I was fine. I was just glad that we had worked out everything.

He slides in behind me, arms wrapping around my waist bringing me to his front. His stubbly face nuzzling my neck. "You should eat something, you worked up quite the appetite."

For the longest time I continue to look out the large window and at our reflection in the glass.

Licking my lips I speak. "Promise me, we'll always make up this way."

My words seem to startle him because he's stopped the myriad of kisses he had been laying to my neck.

"Klaus?" I ask, turning around to face him. My hands finds it's way to his curly hair as my nails scratch his scalp.

"Anything for you." He says finally placing a kiss to my forehead.

I smile at hiss words. "Your father must think we're insane."

He dimples at this. "Probably, I think he's more concerned about us having the vow renewal and then of course making him a grandfather."

That had been the second time children had been brought up. I was in no way ready for kids. "Kids, is that something you...um." I look down and then think better of it. "Is that something you want?"

Blue eyes flash. "I want everything with you." He says all too honestly. All he ever wanted was her, and having Bonnie carry his child, it would mean everything to him. It would happen, he knew it would, it wasn't Damon and Bonnie who were meant to be together. No it was he and Bonnie because nobody in all his existence had ever made him feel the way Bonnie had made him feel.

My face must've given away to my surprise at his honest words because he brings me closer.

"But it'll happen when it happens." He says smoothly. His thumb moves along my cheek as his eyes are so open, so telling. His eyes tell me things his words had yet to say.

I lean close placing my head on his chest.

"Until then, it's you and me, my love."

Damon

Once Victoria had left to do whatever she planned on doing he had spent most of his time debating if he should just call Bonnie all over again. He knew he got to her, he knew she remembered the way she felt before Stefan ruined everything for him.

He and Bonnie had a connection and yeah it was a bit fractured but, it would never truly go away, and that was the hope he was holding onto. He'd be everything Bonnie had ever wanted him to be, because they were meant to be.

Just as he was about to grab his jacket and leave in hopes of running into Bree, Victoria waltzes into the house with someone close behind her.

"Victoria I hope you realize I still have vampire hearing so, you might want to get your newly minted warlock son to silence your bedroom because I don't want to hear a thing." he says looking between his mother and her companion.

Stefan who had walked into the living room, his own leather jacket in hand stops and looks at the scene. "That didn't take long." Stefan says looking at his mother and then settle his eyes on him. "You're just mad she doesn't go after left overs like you."

He glares. "I was with Katherine first, and then you had her, you're just as sloppy as I am, don't act so self righteous."

Stefan opens his mouth and he bares his fangs. The only thing that stops the fight that is about to break out is Victoria cursing.

"Can you two ever act right?" She seethes.

"No."

"Never."

"This isn't my newest bed buddy, this is your new therapist." She says finally. "Maybe he can get you to get your shit together because nobody else can, not Elena the woman you both destroyed yourselves over, not Lucy the best friend you lashed out against, and not Bonnie the one person that wanted to breathe new life into the two of you!" Victoria seethed.

Silently he and Stefan inched toward each other because in reality they had never seen Victoria Salvatore so angry, ever.

"Now, use your manners or I'll yank it out of you from the very depths!" She says gritting her teeth.

Turning to Vincent she puts on a smile. "Vincent, this is Damon and Stefan Salvatore your new patients."

Vincent looks between the three of them and lets out a sigh. "I'm Vincent, your therapist brought o you by the elders." he pauses and looks at the three of them. "We should start soon, it's going to be a very long session."

Kol

Kol Mikaelson dresses at a snail pace as the witch he had spent hours screwing is typing furiously on her phone. He hasn't seen whom she chatting with, but the look of glee on her features tells him that Bree is up to no good.

"Having fun?" He asks causing her to look up only momentarily a smile alighting her features. "Perhaps I could join in on the fun." he says leaning over the bed to catch a glimpse at whom she's texting with, only to get a glare in return.

"No thank you!" She says curtly. "Your fun tends to lead to agony for everyone else."

He chuckles. "And you're back to cheap shots." He says with a grin.

In an instant he's on her, her phone had magically disappeared but that's what witches who are up to no good do when they don't want to get caught.

Baring his teeth, he scrapes it along her neck. "You didn't have a problem with my fun when I was making you scream."

She flips the two of them so she's on top. "Sure but that was when you had his face, and now you're just back to being Kol Mikaelson." she says slapping his cheek. "Pity for you." She says sliding off of him. "Now, if you don't mind, I'd like you to leave."

He watches her as she wonders over to the bathroom and slams the door shut.

Grabbing his belongs he speeds as far away from Bree as possible.

It's only when he's about to enter the compound that his cell phone vibrates. Looking down, he expects Bree wants another round, but is surprised to see that it's not Bree at all.

No. It's his mother. Why in the world was Amelia Mikaelson calling him.

"Amelia, what is it?" He answers almost frantic. Mother only called when she needed something.

"I left your father." She says in a hushed tone. "I need a place to stay."
