"This space is a dangerous place, Captain, I'd hate for your ship to be lost," the whispering voice repeated in his head for the seventh time, Jean-luc looked up distracted form the activities of his bridge. Riker frowned, and Deanna gave him a concerned face.
"Sir we are being hailed," Data informed from his station. Jean-luc nodded, stood gave his orders and was met by the most blindingly beautiful creature he'd ever seen in his space travels.
"I am Captain Jean-luc Picard, what can we do for you?" he asked aiming to impress and wasn't the only one was staring at the alien.
"These are dangerous waters mon capitain, you should leave," and with that her image was flashed blank from the screen. Confusion ran around the bridge.
"Deanna, could you pick up any emotions?" he asked. Deanna shook her head.
"No, sir, it was as if she didn't exist," Picard nodded, indeed, how could such a creature exist? That's when the singing began. Seductive, and enchanting.
"Do you hear that?" Riker was the first to hear. Data turned his gaze away from his console and to the commander.
"I do not," he said. La Forge looked up to the screen.
"My God it's beautiful," he said. Picard listened, and slowly he began to hear the notes, each executed with beauty. A dangerous song.
"Mr. Worf where is that song coming from?" Picard asked, Worf looked up, gave his coordinates, and advised in finding it.
"But sir, I cannot hear anything," Deanna protested as the captain issued his orders to find the source.
"I agree sir, my hearing is sharper than a dog's and I cannot hear any singing," Data confirmed.
"I can," Riker added. "And I say we find it," They couldn't have been more naïve. Jean-Luc, took his seat staring ahead, when he felt a weight on his lap, he acknowledged it, the singing grew louder, and the woman stood from him and bowed. They all stared.
She took out a scarf and waved it seductively, in a wave of color, then began her fragile dance, gracefully leaping, and twirling and wrapping the scarf around everyone's neck, she was very real, and very dangerous. And all too soon she stopped.
"Mon capitan," she smiled Spanish accent a blaze. "Did my sister not warn you of these dangerous waters?" she asked tiliting a delicate chin. Jean-Luc stood in protest.
"How could anyone as beautiful as you, be dangerous?" he asked.
"Because, a siren has just sang you into her trap, Captain, enjoy your star!" she laughed and with that she left in an instant, leaving them to their death.
