"Rabastan, stop dithering."

"Am not. You're the one who's dithering."

"Who do you see still trying to find their jacket five minutes after everyone else is ready?"

Rabastan had no retort to this, and he was silent.

"Stop arguing, children," their father said. "Otherwise, no Galleons for you."

"Okay," their mother said cheerfully. "I'll take Rab, you take Rod?"

The Lestrange patriarch nodded. He beckoned his eldest son over to him and gripped his hand tightly. "Three, two, one…"

Together, the four Lestranges disappeared.

They rematerialized in Diagon Alley, Rabastan falling and Rodolphus stumbling. After Rabastan got back on his feet, and Rodolphus stopped laughing, they set off.

"Where do you want to go first, children?" Celia Lestrange asked.

"Quality Quidditch Supplies," both Rabastan and Rodolphus chorused.

"I told you you shouldn't have told them about an all-Quidditch store." their father said grumpily to his wife. "Now that's all they're going to talk about for days, weeks, years!"

"Boys will be boys," Celia told her husband. "They love Quidditch, so why should I not tell them about Quality Quidditch Supplies?"

Her husband turned away, muttering about how much Celia was coddling her children.

The coins jangled in Rabastan and Rodolphus's pockets as they set off towards the store with the sign above it that declared, 'QUALITY QUIDDITCH SUPPLIES! GET EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO BECOME A PRO AT THIS POPULAR WIZARDING SPORT HERE!'

Rabastan was enamoured by a toy broomstick that hovered five feet (at most) off the ground. Rodolphus was trying to figure out whether his parents would buy him the new Comet.

"Why can't we have them?" Rabastan was whining two minutes later, when his parents flat-out refused to let him buy the toy broomstick. "What's the use of all these coins," he took some out of his pocket, "if we're not allowed to use them?"

Even though Rabastan and Rodolphus threw a few embarrasing tantrums and were dragging their feet until they reached Lestrange Manor, their parents still refused to buy them the broomsticks.

Unfair!
