Star Wars:
Haunting Spectre
The air in the cell was so tense one could think he was drowning. Ezra was sitting on one side of the cell while on the other side resident clone was lying unconscious.
Ezra sat there looking at the clone who had his bandages removed by the imperials so they could identify him. Which by itself was barely possible.
Wrecks face… or rather entire head was littered with scars, burns, cuts, shrapnel wounds, and even a small strain of cybernetics on his chin. His hair was non-existent at this point being replaced with scarred skin on his head.
Ezra already saw his face on multiple occasions and each time seeing just his face being trashed so much brought chills to him. He didn't even want to know how many scars were on the rest of his room-mates body.
"Garhg!" Wreck suddenly jumped on his bunk onto his feet looking more ready to kick someone into a black hole.
"Ezra? Where are we?" Wreck stated as he noticed they were inside a cell.
"Imperial star destroyer. Cells nearest to the main hangar." Ezra answered while drilling his sight towards the doors of the cell. Wreck nodding decided to sit down and stayed quiet while eyeing Ezra looking for any wounds.
"I'm fine." Ezra stated as he felt the inquisitive sight of his clone room-mate.
"You are not fine any time soon, Ezra. In what galaxy does someone decide to jump into a flying freighter with a blaster packed box… at least a couple meters in the air?" Wreck asked calmly waiting for some excuse from Ezras side.
"… This galaxy?" Ezra answered while looking somewhere but at the clone. Wreck this time stayed silent. Ezra could tell that outside he was controlling his emotions but inside he was burning any sort of emotional support.
"Yes… and did it occur to you that you could have entered a pirates ship… or a slaver's ship… or worse." Wreck continued as he sat there crossing his arms.
"I… I'm sorry." Ezra gave up as he knew this was going to be a long talk. Form outside of the cell footsteps could be heard.
"We'll finish this later." Wreck stated as he turned towards the cell's door. The door opened only to reveal the same Spook who got Ezra earlier. Wreck sat there still keeping his emotions from making their situation any worse.
"I am Agent Callus, of the Imperial Security Bureau." Agent Callus has entered the cell quite calmly.
"And you are…" Callus asked as he stood between them.
"Jabba the Hutt./Sheev Palpatine." Was the answer Callus received.
"Look, I just met those guys today. I don't know anything." Ezra said quickly.
"You're not here for what you know, Jabba." Callus responded as he turned towards Ezra.
"You're here to be used as bait upon return to Lothal." Callus continued his monologue. Wreck made a gesture of keeping their tongues from saying anything that would let the agent raise his suspicions. The agent stood there waiting for any response from Ezra but not getting any besides the faint acknowledgement he noticed.
"And you… Sheev. You called me a Spook. That's a military call for my co-workers." Callus said as he turned towards Wreck.
"I'm wondering what military did you desert." Callus tried to question the unknown soldier in front of him. The scars alone made his face scan impossible to match anyone. Wreck only smirked and looked at the agent.
"1123210123110101211136112102111115021" Wreck answered fast enough to make the agent confused. Callus frowned knowing standard tactics against interrogation. As Callus left the cell he turned towards the guards.
"Make sure they won't exit this cell." Callus commanded to which both troopers nodded and saluted.
As the doors closed Wreck dropped his smirk and looked back at Ezra.
"They checked us right?" Wreck asked.
"Yeah?" Ezra answered not knowing what his room-mate was going to say.
"You got something in that hidden pocket of yours?" Wreck asked knowing that pocket as he himself got robbed at times by the kid on occasions.
"Nothing useful, I got it from that freighter I jumped into." Ezra said as he pulled out a familiar cube with twisted edges.
"Ezra… do you even know what that is?" Wreck asked as he took the Holocron into his hands. He studied the relic that he once tinkered with in the past. But if Ezra got it from that ship…
'Could it be possible?' Wreck thought as he looked at the twisted edges which meant that Holocron was unlocked.
"No… do you?" Ezra asked curiously.
"This here is a Jedi Holocron. A storage device for Jedi. Only accessible to someone with the Force." Wreck said as he found the correct edge which allowed the less force acclimated Jedi to access the Holocron properties without using force.
"What is this force?" Ezra asked intrigued. Wreck took a moment of silence keeping the question in the air.
'I wish Vako was here.' Wreck thought bitterly at the reminder.
"I'm not the best person to explain this but I'll try… It's some kind of force connected to everything… Imagine this sort of invisible web that connected everything, everywhere, at any time. It's supposed to be some kind of life force but beyond this, I'm not very educated in it." Wreck explained as he turned one of the edges far enough to play the newest file that was sent to this Holocron. The Holocron abruptly opened and showed a hologram of a familiar figure.
"This is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi… I regret to report that both our Jedi Order and the Republic have fallen, with the dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place. This message is a warning and a reminder for any surviving Jedi… Trust in the Force." Holografic Obi-Wan spoke. Wreck remembered the Jedi from very few occasions. One was back when his division was officially created… to which Obi-Wan was one of the men who disapproved of such creations.
'To think he survived till the end.' Wreck thought bitterly at the reminder of the day when the empire was formed. The day when the war ended… The day when the order was passed… He shook his head.
"Anything else?" Wreck said as he returned the Holocron to Ezra.
"Nope." Ezra rubbed the back of his head.
"Welp… guess it's time for intelligence check." Wreck said as he looked at the door of the cell. Ezra looked at the door and an idea struck his head like a hammer. They just needed the most appropriate moment.

"cough cough cough" Sound of heavy coughs came from the inside of the cell. Both troopers looked at each other.
"Oh, for the force sake. Can someone open the cell? I think the vent broke." The older voice said from the cell. Both stormtroopers nodded in acknowledgement remembering the last time someone didn't fix the vent on the ship. They would file a complaint after this.
As the door opened and both stormtroopers entered they failed to notice that both of their prisoners have hugged the wall next to the doors. As the troopers passed they both exited through the doors.
The troopers confused about the missing prisoners noticed the kid standing outside.
"Bye guys." The child saluted them before the doors closed. A slightly muffled laughter could be heard outside the cell.
Both of the troopers would file another complaint.

As they reached the armoury where Imperials usually kept their confiscated items. The doors opened as they approached it. Ezra grabbed his backpack with his things while Wreck grabbed his equipment.
"I'll take this as a souvenir." Ezra said as he grabbed a cadet helmet and put it on his head. Wreck shook his head as he remembered the massive collection Ezra had back on the tower… not that he himself had one...
"Come on. You take vents I take the corridors. It's night shift so most of them should be asleep." Wreck said as he loaded his blaster with a fresh magazine. Ezra approached a vent cover and noticed it was a bit high.
"Little help." Ezra stated as he pointed at the vent cover. Wreck nodded and approached placing both his hands in a way that allowed Ezra to leap on them and for a moment both of them stood still while Ezra opened the vent. Then he squeezed his way into the vent before closing it.
"I'll see you later ad. Standard frequency." Wreck said before leaving the armoury in full sprint.

Couple of minutes later Ezra was crawling through the vents. Usually, it wouldn't be a problem but he forgot to drop his backpack before he entered it. But he wouldn't complain.
Suddenly he heard a buzz in his ear and before he could turn it off a voice cut in.
"- ansport ship Agent Kallus diverted will dock on Kessel within two hours." An officer reported.
"The wookies will be offloaded at work Spice Mine K-76. -" The radio channel was abruptly disturbed as another voice entered the frequency.
"- This is Stormtrooper LS-005, reporting to Agent Kallus. -' A stormtrooper pitched in.
"- Kallus here. -" A familiar voice of Imperial Security Agent answered.
"- Sir, the prisoners are gone. -" The stormtrooper reported. Ezra felt his face slightly loose colour as he knew that entire star destroyer on alert would be impossible to escape.
"- What? I knew those two would act as bait, but I never dreamed the rebels would be foolish enough to attack a Destroyer. -" Kallus responded.
"- How did they get aboard? -" Kallus asked but before the stormtrooper could answer another voice was on the frequency.
"- Agent Kallus! There's a security breach in the lower hangar. -" An officer reported… wait what?
"- I don't know how, but the rebel ship approached without alerting our sensors. -" The same officer said with disbelief.
'They came back!? Why?'Ezra was more in disbelief than that officer. Then Ezra got an idea. Maybe he could get his situation fixed and be able to avoid Wrecks lecture. Two birds with one stone… right?

Wreck was running through the empty corridors of the Star Destroyer. Honestly, he was in more disbelief at how empty those corridors were.
"Wreck?" A familiar voice cut through the commlink.
"Ad. Got a safe spot?" Wreck asked as he slowed down.
"Not a safe spot by any means but... maybe some friends?" Ezra answered.
"What?" Wreck asked not wanting to play cat and mouse inside a Star Destroyer.
"I'll explain later but get to the lower hangar." Ezra said before abruptly cutting off comms.
"Lower Hangar… alright should be behind the corner." Wreck mumbled as he started sprinting through the corridors towards a 'T' intersection. As he run through the intersection and turned he found a closed blast door. Behind them, faint voices could be heard.
Wreck crouched next to a panel and started making his way through the security lock which was much better than those planet-site. As the blast doors opened he raised his weapon at the same trio he saw before on the ship he and Ezra were left…
"You!" Both Wreck and Zeb yelled pointing at each other with their fingers.
"Not the time Zeb. Hey, do you know where the kid went that was with you?" The same man in a yellowish sweater asked.
"Ezra. You there?" Wreck asked as he looked up. He received two bangs from the vent as a response.
"The vents... again?" Asked Sabine clearly forgetting bout their existence.
"That's why that little chakaar is a pain in the ass most of the time." Wreck said as he shrugged. Sabine slightly widened her eyes as she recognized the mando'a he spoke.
"Well, that's debatable." Ezra responded as he dropped from the vent.
"Debates later ad. Safety first." Wreck stated as he closed the blast doors just noticing a faint shape of stormtroopers running around the corner.
"Spectre-1 to Ghost, we're leaving." Kanan sighed as he called Ghost on the comms.
While they were running towards the Ghost the blast doors behind them opened and revealed a large platoon of stormtroopers with Kallus on their front. But as the troopers filled the hangar they already entered the ramp of the Ghost.
"Ghost, raise the ramp." Kanan said as he shot a few shots at the stormtroopers.
Wreck inside the ship managed to find a turret spot on the back of the ship. As the freighter turned he could see all of the stormtroopers shooting at the ship. He noticed few Tie fighters hanging on the ceiling.
"Huh… maybe Guaca was right about bolting vehicles on the ceiling. If it falls…" Wreck mumbled to himself as he took aim. He squeezed the trigger twice and as the shots went through the hangar and hit some of the supports of the Tie fighters.
"Then it hurts." Wreck finished as two Tie fighters suddenly dropped at some of the troopers below them. Wreck watched as the Star Destroyer was getting smaller but not before some explosion rang through the hangar creating a medium hole on the bottom of the ship.
He could notice some of the troopers falling into the cold space.
'Ouch… I felt that." Wreck cringed as he remembered at least two times he got sucked into space… even if it was for a couple of seconds. Then he saw the recognizable lines of hyperspace expand before entering the swirling blue tunnel.
Wreck sighed as he sat on a seat of the turret. This was going to be a long debrief.
