I didn't have a whole heap of ideas for this story, so this one somehow made it in there. I thought it might be funny.
December 14th: Elf Yourself
"Hey, McQueen!" Mater called, entering the Cozy Cone lobby, where Lightning was working on the computer. "Everybody else is ice skatin' on that frozen lake. You wanna come?"
"Yeah, in a sec", Lightning answered, not looking up from his task.
"What is you doin'?" the tow truck wondered.
Lightning grinned. "Oh, just a little something. It should be ready in just a few minutes..."
"Why is you lookin' at photos of all of us?"
"Just trust me. You're gonna love this", his best friend assured him. "Why don't you tell everyone I got something to show them here?"
Mater lit up at his job of messenger. "Okay!"
It only took a couple of minutes for the entire population of Radiator Springs to gather inside the Cozy Cone lobby. Some of them were a little reluctant to be there, not having wanted their ice skating to be interrupted. Still, they were all curious.
"All right. Can everyone see the computer?" Lightning wanted to know.
"Yes", everyone chorused.
"So, what is this big surprise?" Doc questioned.
Lightning grinned again. "Enjoy!"
He clicked a button and a video started up. The first shot was of a North Pole scene, complete with snow, candy canes and the Santas' workshop.
Then an elf appeared on the screen, doing a crazy dance, involving lots of tyre tapping and backflips. The elf looked familiar.
"It's Doc!" everyone exclaimed.
Then four more elves appeared on the screen, joining the dance. They were Lightning, Mater, Sally and Fudge.
Everyone watched as the elves performed their number, which was set to holiday music. The Fudge elf even did a ridiculous booty shake!
Mater, Ramone, Fillmore and Fudge were laughing hysterically, with the latter shrieking, "It's me!", repeatedly. Luigi, Guido, Flo, Red and Sally all chuckled politely. Doc and Sheriff tried to keep straight faces, but the corners of their mouths kept twitching. Sarge managed to keep a straight face (it wasn't hard for him). Lizzie just looked bewildered. Lightning smiled proudly.
When the video finished (with all the other elves holding up the Sally elf), the race car turned to the others. "What do you think? It's called Elf Yourself. Mack just showed it to me."
Fudge giggled uncontrollably. "Do it again!"
"I wanna be in it this time!" Fillmore requested.
Ramone grinned. "Me too."
"Okay", Lightning agreed. "I'm sure I've got some photos of you guys somewhere... Hey, there are different dances we could try too!"
