It was the night of Friday, April 4, 1986 as Lucy and Fangs come walking home, and they enter the house with lightning flashing for their entrance.
"I so enjoy our nightly strolls, Fangs," Lucy said happily as Fangs squeaks in agreement.
"Oh, hey Lucy," Lori greeted her.
"Hello Lori, anything happen while we were away?" Lucy asked.
"Well, you could say that. Pro tip: Don't go in the bathroom right now," Lori said.
"Why would I do that?" Lucy asked.
"Guys, this looks so good!" Luna said off-screen.
"Wow, We should literally become interior designers!" Leni said as Lucy goes upstairs to see what they're talking about and finds her siblings painting the bathroom pink as Fangs flies away.
"Hey, guys," Lucy said as her siblings gasp in surprise at her appearance, "Why are you painting the bathroom my least favorite color?"
"Uh, duh! We all voted on it at the sibling meeting, remember?" Lynn asked.
Flashback to the meeting; all the siblings except Lucy are gathered.
"So, I made our conclusions, based on the leftover paint in the garage, our only two options are pink..." Lori giggles, "...or black. All in favor of pink?"
"They all raise their hands, "AYE!"
"All oppose for pink?" Lori asked.
"Yep, we made our decision, Mom." Lincoln agreed.
"It's unanimous!" Lori squeals, "Well, okay. Pink it is! Luna!" Luna looks up at her, "I'm promoting you to be captain in painting the bathroom pink."
"ROCK ON, SIS!" Luna cheered as she has her hands up in the air.
The flashback ends as Lucy sighs.
"Well, I wasn't there," Lucy said, "But of course, as usual, no one noticed.
"Oh, come on! Do you exaggerate much, little girl?" Lola explained.
While Luna is painting, she accidentally hits Lucy, stroking her with pink paint, "Whoops. Sorry, Lucy, I didn't notice you,' Luna said as she pokes Lucy's nose. Lori wipes off the pink paint off Lucy.
"Lori, you knew I wouldn't agree to this," Lucy explained, "Why did you let this happen?"
"Believe me, Lucy. I had to. It was just nine against one," Lori said, "Besides, they didn't notice me either at this moment.
"What makes you think that?" Lucy asked when suddenly, Luna accidentally strokes Lori with pink paint.
"Luna, did you have to stroke me with that pink paint?" Lori asked.
"Oh, sorry dudette. Didn't notice you either," Luna said off-screen.
"Man," Lori said depressingly as Lucy, Fangs, and the pets are performing a séance in the den.
"Oh, spirits, I summon thee..." Lucy said when Leni suddenly shrieks.
"What?! No, she did NOT!" Leni shouted on the phone as Lucy and the animals disregard it and resume their séance.
"Oh, spirits, I summon thee..." Lucy said when Lincoln comes in screaming while wearing Viking attire.
"Okay, first we send in recon falcons to assess the enemy's firepower!" Lincoln shouted to his friends.
Lori then sees Lincoln from above with a smile on her face, "Hi Lincoln. What Cha doing?"
"Hey, Mom, just doing a little Swords & Cyborgs cosplay with my friends right now," Lincoln answered.
"Alright, thank you," Lori said, "Just don't get hurt. All right?"
Lucy regains her composure," Oh, spirits...
Suddenly, Lynn is practicing as crew coxswain with the twins rowing and Lily riding in a sailor outfit.
"Easy on starboard!" Lynn shouted on a megaphone, "And stroke! Stroke! Stroke!"
"Ugh!" Lucy said angrily as she goes into the living room to talk to her siblings who are doing their things at once, "Guys, could you keep it down? I'm trying to contact," suddenly, she gets hit by Lily's oar and is sent flying back into the den.
"Oh my god! Lucy! Are you alright?!" Lori said as she runs up to Lucy.
"What do you think?" Lucy asked.
"Hey, what's the big idea? You can't just..." Lori said before she gets hit by Lily's oar" OOF!" Lori flies into the den.
"Sowwy, Mommy," Lily said to Lori.
"Don't worry, you're okay, Lily," Lori replied, "Mommy's in just a little pain right now. Ow."
At The dinner table.
"All right, everybody. Last slice of the pot pies that Lori made us," Lynn Sr. said as he holds it up, "Who wants it?"
Lucy raises her hand, but Lola comes rolling down the table.
"AY-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI!" Lola shouted as she grabs the slice.
"Hey, I raised my hand!" Lucy said angrily.
"Hey, dad. Can you hand me the last slice?" Lori asked, "I should probably save it for Lincoln."
"Well, I'm glad you said it, Lori," Lynn Sr. replied as he takes the slice away from Lola and gives the slice to Lori, "Here you go, young lady. It's all you and Lincoln tonight."
"Thank you," Lori said sweetly.
"I can't believe no one else wanted this!" Lola said as Lucy deeply sighs as Lori gives her slice of pie to Lucy.
"Hey, I didn't want to say this but... uh..." Lori said before Lucy finished her sentence.
"No, Lori, you can save it for Lincoln. It was yo..." Lucy said before Lola snatches the slice.
"Ooh! Seconds!" Lola was about to get the slice for herself before suddenly, Lori growls and snarls furiously at Lola.
"Uh oh," Lola said nervously as Lori furiously sits her to her lap and spanks her with her shoe while Lola bawls her tears out as she spanks her.
"THIS WILL TEACH YOU A LESSON NOT TO STEAL SECONDS FROM ANYONE, LOLA CELESTE LOUD!" Lori scolded Lola while she spanked her.
"Lori, please I didn't mean it," Lola cried while being spanked, "I just wanted another slice!"
Lucy sighs. Meanwhile at the sofa area, Lisa is working on her chemicals and the others are coming in to watch TV.
"Excuse me," Lisa explained.
"I call left armrest," Lucy said before Lana pounces on her and takes the armrest. Lucy brushes herself off, places her book of poems on the coffee table and turns the TV on to her favorite show and Lori sits right next to her.
"Next on Vampires of Melancholia..." the announcer said.
"Oh, boy, let's turn it up," Lori said excitedly.
"Griselda, I know you're only seeing that werewolf to make me jealous," Edwin said on the TV screen as the others look bored at it, though Lori and Lincoln were impressed and Lynn makes a buzzer sound on her megaphone.
"Junior! Please do not interrupt us," Lori said nervously as Lana snatches the remote out of Lucy's hand and changes the channel.
"Next, on The Audition..." the announcer said.
"Hey! I had the remote first!" Lucy said angrily.
"Sorry, dude. We also voted on tonight's TV show at the sibling meeting," Luna said.
"Lori, at least you had my back," Lucy said.
"I know, Lucy, I kinda like that show," Lori said sympathetically to Lucy, "But I'm afraid I have to follow the rules of our sisters unfortunately."
"Very well. Will someone please hand me my poetry journal? I have some very strong feelings to express," Lucy said when suddenly, Lisa accidentally spills her chemical onto Lucy's journal and it disintegrates. At this moment, Lori becomes enraged at Lisa.
"Oops. Clumsy me," Lisa said nervously as Lucy runs off with a frustrated scream, "Did anyone hear something?"
"Why You LITTLE BASTARD!" Lori screamed as she gets ready to strangle Lisa but Lisa quickly escapes as she runs back to her room. A few moments later. Lori feels bad for Lucy and follows her. She couldn't help but feel bad for Lucy, as she went upstairs to the attic where Lucy was, "Lucy? Are you up here?"
"What do you want?" Lucy asked as Lori walks in, "Oh. It's only you, Lori."
"Hey, I'm sorry about what happened to you today," Lori said sympathetically, "I'm sure the others didn't mean to do it."
"But they did, Lori. No matter what I do, my siblings walk all over me," Lucy said, "At least when things get bad, I can go to my secret dark place," she notices something wrong with her dark place, "Which they've filled with their junk. Typical."
"Here, I'll help you with that, Lucy," Lori said as she and Lucy push all the junk away, "Look, Lucy. Just because they don't listen to you doesn't mean they don't love you. It means that they are busy with something at the moment."
"It's more than that, Lori. They barely notice me. I just wish I can get back at them somehow," Lucy said as they come across an old chest and notices a tag on it saying Great Grandma Harriet 1896-1983, "Oh, look. This trunk belonged to Great Grandma Harriet. She was a pretty cool lady," she then holds up a photo of Harriet, who looks identical to Lucy but in period-accurate clothes.
"Oh wow. She does bare a resemblance. Neat," Lori said.
"You'd think I got these looks from your mother?" Lucy asked as she takes out a crystal ball and skulls and notices a secret compartment, "Ooh. What's this?" She opens it and they both find a book, pick it up and blow the dust off.
"Ancient Book of Spells" Lori said, "That is one mysterious book, but hopefully it will keep all of our sisters silent while we have Lincoln some spare time."
Lucy then looks at the book's array of spells, "Hmm. If I can't get through to my siblings, maybe a little magic will," Lucy said as she starts reading.
"Something tells me I'm not going to like where this is going… at least from what I think it is..." Lori said nervously.
It cuts to the living room where Leni was talking on her cell phone while she was dancing. Lucy and Lori were watching from the den.
"It's like, one of Lori's friends Carol gets eyelash extensions and suddenly she's literally too good for Lori's parental duties and my workouts and aerobic dancing? I know! I KNOW!" Leni said on her phone while she was dancing.
Lori and Lucy were watching from the den, "So, you like disrupting my séances with your inane phone calls?" Lucy asked sternly.
"Do you think that spellbook actually works, Lucy?" Lori asks.
"Only one way to find out…" Lucy said as she reads an incantation, "Eye of newt and toe of frog... Cease this endless dialogue!"
Leni's phone suddenly hangs up and she stops dancing, "Chas? Chas? Hello? What? No! This can't be happening!" Leni said in fear as she goes upstairs and Lucy smiles at the outcome while Lori was bewildered on what just happened.
"I can't believe it! Those spells really worked!" Lori said happily, "I never thought it would, but it did!"
"Oh. You haven't seen anything yet," Lucy said as Lana is watching TV on Lucy's spot and she comes down from the staircase, "So, you like putting my muddy butt on my favorite seat?"
"Lucy, are you really sure this is going to be a good idea? Because I'm worried about this." Lori said nervously.
"Lizard's leg and howlet's wing, Bring vengeance with an itchy sting!"
Lana suddenly jumps off the armrest and starts scratching her butt vigorously, Lucy smiles proudly. As Lucy stood proudly on her revenge on her sisters, Lori begins to worry. Even if magic was real, it shouldn't be used to get back at someone. Later, Lori is sitting by the staircase watching Leni and Lily watching TV in the living room. Then she met up with her goth sister again as she walked downstairs.
"Lori, you should've seen it. I've used a spell on Lisa and made her all sticky," Lucy explained, "She's a total mess."
"Uh, Lucy. Are you sure we should be using those spells to get back at our siblings just because they didn't notice you?" Lori asked, "I mean, this is the kind of stuff that has unexpected consequences."
"Don't be like that, Lori," Besides you know very well they abused you too.
"What are you talking about?" Lori asked.
"I'm talking about all the times they walk all over you," Lucy explained.
"Oh yeah," Lori realized, "I do know how much they abuse me and pummel me, it's because of me always being with my kids Lincoln and Lily all the time," Lori explained, "Because they're my own son and daughter and I even sleep with them a lot and I take good care of them and I even take them out with me on some important events of my own. It's just that... I just don't want Lincoln or Lily to be alone here at home."
"Oh, yeah? What about the time Leni rooted through your closet?" Lucy asked to Lori.
Flashback to Lori going back into her room and shocked to find Leni using red paint on one of her pink turtleneck shirts.
"Oh my god! This shirt literally looks prettier in red!" Leni said as she paints one of Lori's pink shirts red, but as soon as Lori found about it, she snaps and fills up with rage. She storms over to Leni and snatches the pink shirt from her.
"Lori?!" Leni said in fear.
"Leni, what the hell do you think your doi..." Lori suddenly finds out that one of her shirts was ruined, "You've ruined one of my shirts! Now I have to wash all the paint off of it because of you!"
"More like made it better! It is so you're color, Lorraine," Leni said as she pinches Lori's cheek but Lori growls furiously and slaps Leni really hard in the face.
"THAT'LL TEACH YOU A LESSON NOT TO ROOT THROUGH MY CLOTHES!" Lori shouted at Leni.
It then cuts back to present day as Lori's face burns red with anger at the very memory.
"She called me Lorraine!" Lori said angrily as Lucy smiles and lends the book to Lori, "Give me that!" She furiously snatches the spell book from Lucy and goes gets up from the staircase and begins to perform a spell, "I'll teach you to go through other people's stuff! "Bird of fowl and feathers pluck, become a chicken, Cluck CLUCK CLUUUUUCK!"
Leni gets up from the couch and starts acting like a chicken. "Bawk. Ba-Ba-ba-Bagawk!"
"Yay! Wiwy wove wicken Weni," Lily said happily as her mother Lori couldn't help but smile at this. Using spells to get back at someone actually felt good.
"That was incredible! These spells are great!" Lori shouted happily, "With this, my kids and I can finally get the respect we deserve!
"Welcome to the dark side," Lucy said.
"Ohh. I am going to enjoy this!" Lori said happily as she spent most of her day using spells to get back at many of her other siblings. She used one on Lola and a patch of hair falls from her head and she screams as Lori giggled. Next she used a spell on her Lincoln and he froze like a statue as Lori laughed even more wickedly. Lastly, she casted a spell on Luna and as she played her guitar, it stops making sound. She strummed her guitar and no music was played, she was distraught. Lori continues to evilly cackle. Later, she walking downstairs to see Lucy with Edwin, "Lucy! You should see what I did to Luna! I made lose her jams and probably her mind!"
"Can't talk," Lucy said as she walks up to the attic, Lori notices the bald spots on the back of Lucy's head.
"Huh? Wait, Did the hair spell affect you too?" Lori said as she meets Lucy in the attic, "Well, Why the long face? You should be happy! Thanks to those spells, things are finally going our way!"
Lucy then takes the book from Lori and screamed out, "Things are going YOUR way! But even if I use the spells, nothing changes around here for me!"
"What's wrong, Lucy?" Lori asked Lucy, "Don't you want to talk about it?"
"They backfired on me. Leni talking to her friends in person instead of doing her workouts, and Lana used Edwin as butt-scratcher," Lucy shouted as she points to the bust, "Those lips touched her butt! God, It's so frustrating," she tosses the book which bounces off a trampoline and hits her in the face, revealing another spell, "Oh my God! Lori! Look at this!" Lucy then shows Lori the spell.
"Ohhh! This spell is too damn perfect!" Lori said happily.
"I know! It has to work!" she turns to the photo, "Thanks for giving us a sign," Lucy said as she rubs her head, "Though next time, a simple flickering light will do," She and Lori begin working on some kind of powder and is humming some kind of chant for it as several candles are arranged in a circle around her. Lincoln pops up.
"Hey, Luce! Hey, Mom!" Lincoln said as Lucy quickly flips the circle for her powder below the floor and swaps it out with Lola's tea party set.
"Oh! Hi, Lincoln! We were just having a little tea party," Lori explained.
"Uh, okay. Well anyway. Come on. Time to visit your Grampa," Lincoln said before Luan pops up from under Lincoln who's now on her head.
"We voted on where to sit in Vanzilla, and your mother got the soggy seat!" Luan said.
"What?!" Lori said in fear.
"Sorry, Lucy. But the only spot we have left for you is the springy seat," Lincoln explained.
"SPRINGY SEAT?! WHY YOU LITTLE..." Lucy screamed but Lori stops her.
"You guys go without us," Lori said, "We're in the middle of something important," Lincoln and Luan leave and Lucy flips the spot back to her powder and turns to the book, "Springy seat indeed..." Lori steamed.
"Don't worry, Lori. Once this is over, we'll see who gets the springy seat from now on..." Lucy explained.
"Yeah, I think so, too Lucy," Lori said to Lucy.
That night, the two were in their PJ's start sprinkling the powder on all of her siblings' pillows.
"Round about the bedrooms go, on their pillows, spell dust throw. By sunrise, they will have no choice, but to listen to my voice," Lucy and Lori both read the spell.
"Do you really think that spell would work?" Lori asked.
"Guaranteed," Lucy replied.
"Well, goodnight Lucy, I'm gonna go get some sleep with the kids," Lori said as she heads on back to Lincoln's room to sleep with her kids.
"Goodnight, Lori," Lucy said before she turns to the picture of Great Grandma Harriet, "Goodnight, Great-Grandma Harriet," She yawns as she pens up her coffin only to find Lynn's sports equipment stored in it, "Ugh! Lynn!" she shouted as she dumps the equipment out and gets into the coffin to sleep afterwards, "This spell cannot work fast enough."
Saturday, April 5, 1986
Lucy and Lori go to the newly pink bathroom to see their siblings brushing their teeth.
"I got an idea, Lucy. Let's surprise them," Lori whispered to Lucy and she nods.
"Hey, guys," Lori and Lucy said as the siblings are startled by their appearance as usual, but when they scream, no sound comes out, much to their content.
"It worked!" Lori said happily as she high fives Lucy.
"Yes! Now everything is gonna change around here," Lucy said.
Lucy is now holding a sibling meeting.
LUCY'S SIBLING MEETING: REPAINT THE GODDAMN BATHROOM!
"Next item of business: repainting the bathroom," Lucy demanded, "All in favor of black, say "aye."
"Aye!" Lori responded happily.
"All opposed, say "nay," Lucy said as her siblings try to say something, but can't without their voices, "It's unanimous. Black it is!" Lucy then pulls up the tarp revealing black paint cans but the others except Lincoln and Lily look on at her, upset. Later at dinner, Lucy and Lori are eating the leftovers while her siblings except Lincoln and Lily glare at them.
"How's that leftover turkey leg?" Lori asked happly.
"Num, num, num. Delicious. I can't believe no one else wanted this," Lucy said happily.
Now they're watching Vampires of Melancholia together.
"Griselda, you're back. I see you've come to your senses," Edwin said on the TV.
"No, I just found out I'm allergic to wolf hair," Griselda replied as Edwin looks unimpressed at that revelation while Lucy's siblings look unimpressed at her for this decision. Lucy sees Lori smiling as she watched this.
"Wait, I thought you said you didn't like this show," Lucy said confused.
"No, no, I kind of do," Lori replied, "But I have to say, Lucy, I'm having a good time taking advantage of this.
"Cool," Lucy said happily.
Meanwhile, back in the attic.
"Man. Today has absolutely been the best day ever," Lori said happily.
"Yep. And we have Great Grandma Harriet to thank for it," Lucy agreed.
"Lynn, what's wrong?" Rita asked as Lynn is beating on her punching bag which Rita is holding, "Oh, now, come on, kiddo," Lynn delivers a mighty blow to the bag, "Whoa! Your crew meet can't have gone that badly."
Lynn tells her what happened at her crew meet where she couldn't tell her teammates to stroke while the opposing team passes them.
"Stroke! Stroke! Stroke!" The rival said as Lynn's team's canoe goes in a circle and they lose the race. They get angry at Lynn, toss her off the canoe and into the lake.
"They literally kicked you off the team? That is not fair!" Rita screamed as she starts punching the bag to let out all that tension her daughter did. Meanwhile. Lucy and Lori have witnessed that and hear their dad off-screen.
"Lincoln, you got one of your friends hurt?" Lynn Sr. said to Lincoln as he shows him what happened in their cosplay of Swords & Cyborgs.
"Commander Loud, what's our move?" Clyde asked but Lincoln couldn't say the command and tries to gesture incoherently, "You want us to...frost a birthday cake?" But Lincoln and Rusty are not amused, "I think he wants us to attack. I'm just gonna attack, "As Lincoln tries to protest, Rusty has his character lift his sword and charge into the enemy fortress, "RUSTY SPOKES! NOOO!"
But it was too late as Rusty gets attacked by cyborgs cosplayed by his friends.
"It's an ambush! Oh, the horror!" Lincoln replied in fear as Lucy and Lori look on with worry and hears their mom talking to Leni.
"Leni, honey, I'm sure it's not the end of the world," Rita said as Leni tells her what happened.
"The guy on my phone told me what was with the silent treatment and asking that he thinks I'm better than them," Leni said as she started crying.
No worries. You can always hang out with your old mom. You can join my book club," Rita said softly to Leni but she just wants to cry and covers her face with her pillow. Lucy and Lori look on with despair over what they have done. Meanwhile, back in the attic.
"What have we done, Lucy? I knew these spells would have consequences and I casted them anyway!" Lori said in fear.
"I didn't mean to ruin everyone's life. I just hope there's a way to undo the spell," Lucy said when she finds a shocking small printing, "Oh my god! Lori, look!"
"To put a spell back on the shelf, transfer the effects onto yourself," Lori read.
Lori and Lucy look at each other. Meanwhile, they are in Lori and Leni's room for another sibling meeting, all Loud kids are assembled.
"Okay, don't worry, guys," Lucy said as her siblings except Lincoln and Lily glare at her and Lori, "We didn't call this meeting to force anymore resolutions on you. We just want to make a confession."
"You see, Lucy and I were fed up of all the times you walked all over us and the kids," Lori explained.
"So we casted a spell to make you take away your voices," Lucy said as the others look confused.
"Look, I know you're mad at us for it, but the thing is... there can be a way to fix this," Lori showed them, "The ancient book of spells say that we can transfer the effects onto ourselves."
"Yes, We'll never speak again, but I guess we deserve it for..." But before she can finish, the others all silently show laughter, "Why are you laughing?"
"Or at least I think it's laughter. Hard to tell because you don't have any voices," Lori said as Lincoln pokes to his throat and moves his hands up and down.
"You...want us to frost a birthday cake?" Lucy asked but Lori and Lincoln look unimpressed. Leni takes out a notepad and a pen and writes something down and hands it to Lucy and Lori and she read the message, "We didn't take away your voices?"
The others shake their heads.
"Then I've got to ask something, why are you so silent all of a sudden?" Lori asked as Luan turned on the old TV in the attic room and put the tape in, showing a recording of Albert in a shuffleboard game with other people. Once Albert wins, the siblings cheer loudly, lifting him up and chanting him, "GRAMPA! GRAMPA! GRAMPA! GRAMPA!" She stops the videocassette.
"You lost your voices at Grampa's shuffleboard match?" Lucy asked and they all nodded, "But what about our other spells? Leni, I killed your phone," But Leni is changing the battery in her phone, "Oh. So the old batteries just died. But Lana, what about my spell to make your butt itch?" Lana shows her some poison ivy outside by a tree and makes a circular motion with her finger, "You rolled around in poison ivy again?" But Lana starts dragging her butt across the carpet still suffering from the itch. Charles pops out from under Lori's bed and joins Lana in butt dragging.
"Okay... But what about you, Lincoln. I casted a spell and turned you to a statue, but I feel terrible about casting a spell on you now because you're my son, and you and Lily are the only things that matter to me," Lori said sympathetically as Lincoln shakes his head and he and Lynn chased around the room, Lynn touches him and Lincoln freezes up like a statue, "Oh, you were playing freeze tag, weren't you?" Lynn and Lincoln nod, "All right, but what about Lola? I made her lose her hair," Lola shakes her head and holds out a green bottle, "Wait a minute. You used hair gel?" Lola points to Lisa, "Oh, Lisa's experimental hair gel," Lola nods and uses Lisa's hair gel and more hair falls out. Lola is silently shocked, "Wait! Luna! I made a spell to remove music from your guitar," Luna shakes her head and pushes in the amp from her room and tries to play her guitar, but no sound was coming out. She banged on the amp, "I honestly think there's something wrong with your amplifier," Luna gave her a thumbs up, "But, Leni. I think I remember making you cluck like a chicken!"
Leni then shows Lori a cartoon about a chicken on a home movie then acts like one to entertain Lily.
"Wily wove wickens," Lily said happily as she claps her hands.
"Oh, you were only acting like a chicken for my daughter Lily?" Lori asked Leni and she nods, "Wait. What about you, Lisa? Didn't my spell make your fingers sticky?" Lisa shakes her head and brings in her board showing a complex equation, "I...don't understand any of that."
Lisa holds out a tape recorder and plays a recording, "Day 1,604 in the lab: I accidentally spilled new formula, but turns out to be excellent adhesive. Apply for patent immediately," and the recording ends.
"Okay. Well, We're still sorry for casting those spells, even if they didn't work," Lucy said sadly.
"We were just so tired of you all treating us like we don't exist," Lori said sadly, "And when I found out about the spell book I... got a little crazy."
"I guess we should've have made more of an effort to tell you guys how we felt," Lucy said as Lincoln then writes something on the other side of Lisa's blackboard and flips it over to show it, "We're sorry, too."
Luan adds something else to the board.
"We'll try not to walk all over you anymore." Lori read as Leni goes up to the board and draws a Tic-Tac-Toe grid with an X in the lower left square.
"Uh...okay. Thanks, Leni," Lucy said as Luna notices the time on the alarm clock and signals Lucy by pretending to have fangs, "What? Oh! My show's on?" and the others signal her to come along, "You guys want to watch it, too?" They give her a thumbs-up and head downstairs and Lucy and Lori smile, "That's awesome. We'll be right down. I just have to take care of one thing."
Back in the attic, Lucy and Lori are putting all the things they found in the trunk away.
"Well, We certainly learned our lesson. Next time maybe we'll just talk to my sisters before doing anything rash like making them do my parenting tasks or cast spells. Even though they often worked, but still. It sure was great to believe there was actually such thing as some real parenting and real magic.
"For all it's worth, I think you definitely would've made a great witch and a great mother," Lucy said.
"Thanks, but I wouldn't use the term "Witch" on either of us. So, you coming?" Lori asked.
"Yeah, just a minute. I'll catch up," Lucy said as Lori walks downstairs. Lucy then talks to the photo of Great Grandma Harriet, "Well, Great-Grandma Harriet, I guess this book of spells didn't work after all," Lucy holds up a photo of her and her siblings, "But that's okay. because I got a pretty magical result all the same."
"LUCY, COME ON! YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR YOUR SHOW!" Lori called off-screen as Lucy puts the photo of her and her siblings next to Harriet's and leaves. Just then, a lightning flash occurs, and the photo of Harriet mysteriously changes her expression from a frown to a smile.
