It is early afternoon Thursday, June 12, 1986. Lori, Bobby, Lincoln and Lily are all in Lori's bedroom, as they are all packing up for a vacation for the weekend. It reveals that Lori has had an on old jug that she has been keeping ever since she took Lincoln in as her adopted son soon after he was born. It turns out that it was full of loose change from her past eleven years of raising Lincoln and helping him out with serious things that Lincoln and Lily both had to face.
"Wow, dear, I can't believe you and Lincoln saved enough money for a whole weekend at a luxury spa," Bobby said to Lori, "Just thinking about the five of us having the whole weekend to ourselves."
"Yeah, Dad. It looks like this weekend will be the perfect time for you, me, Mom and Lily to all get away from those girls and spend it at a beautiful luxury spa," Lincoln said, "And maybe my sister Ronnie Anne come with us."
"Really?" Bobby asked.
"Yeah. It will be a blast with her coming with us to the spa," Lincoln said as Lori was getting many of her important things packed inside their luggage including her wallet, her diary with spare pencils, 4 things of sunscreen for extra UV protection when they get into the pool, five pairs of sunglasses (one for each including Ronnie Anne), her camera and her phone.
"Ahhh, yes. It took me eleven years to get this jug filled with loose change. But now, it looks like the loose change is finally going to pay off for this weekend as the four of... I mean... five of us, because Ronnie Anne is also coming with us, we four are all going to be spending the next three days at the beautiful Royal Woods Luxury Spa & Hotel," Lori said to the viewers as she gets out and shows the viewers the spa pamphlet, "From what you may understand, in case you were all wondering what it is like, this pamphlet here is all you need to know what it is like. It's got a beautiful spa, eight different swimming pools, and believe it or not, it even has a fancy business center," Lori puts the pamphlet away and giggles for a bit, "Ahhh, and I just can't wait to forget about the troubles those girls have been causing for the past five years for a whole three days. It's too bad that the girls will have to miss out on all the fun though, because they'll all be staying with their great Aunt Ruth while Bobby and I and our kids have all the fun at the spa and hotel."
Meanwhile, outside the door, the girls are not happy after hearing what Lori was saying.
"Oh no. What are they doing now?" Leni asked.
"Sounds like Lori, Lincoln and Lily must be heading off to the spa together to get away from us for a whole weekend," Luna replied.
But then, all of a sudden, they then hear their parents from below.
"Wow. That jug of ours has finally paid off for us for all this work," Rita said off-screen.
"Aw man, not Mom and Dad, too," Luna said as they head to the bathroom and listen to them very closely from the bathroom air vent.
"Well, no kidding. It looks like it has indeed paid us off for real!" Lynn Sr. said off-screen.
In their parents' bedroom, Rita and Lynn Sr. were also getting ready to pack for a weekend-long vacation.
"I cannot believe we saved enough money for a three days at a luxury spa," Rita said, "I cannot remember the last time we had one to ourselves."
"Ahh, yes, summer of 1968. Lyndon Johnson, The Beatles, Michael Lollich," Lynn Sr. said as he puts a rather tacky hat into the suitcase, while Rita discretely takes the hat out, and puts it on Geo's hamster ball, where Geo quickly runs off. Lynn Sr. pulls out some red pairs of trunks and sticks them into the suitcase,
"Hey, Rita, do you think our girls will be okay? I feel bad that we aren't taking most of them."
"Oh, not to worry. They'll be all right." Rita replied. However, unbeknownst to them, eight of the Loud kids minus Lori, Lily and Lincoln, who are also going, are listening to them from the bathroom air vent.
"We will not be fine!" Lola shouted as she picks up and looks at the spa pamphlet that Lori held at the viewers earlier, "Look at this place, you guys! It's got a spa, eight different pools, and a business center! We are missing out on all of it!"
"Yeah, and while Mom, Dad, Lori, Bobby, Lincoln, Lily and Ronnie are all living it up for the next three days, we'll be sucking in cat hair at Aunt Ruth's!" Lynn said sternly.
"Ooh, I call dibs on not clipping her toenails," Luan said as she touched her nose and everyone does the same, but Leni is the last to react and Leni realizes it.
"We're just gonna have to convince Mom and Dad to take us with them," Luna demanded.
"Well, I don't think there's an idea. Not even our best ideas could even convince them one bit," Lucy said as Lori enter the bathroom to grab her toothbrush along with Lincoln and Lily's toothbrushes and toothpaste.
"Hey, girls. Whatcha doing right now?" Lori asked her sisters.
"Hey, Lori. I know that you, Bobby and your kids Lincoln and Lily are about to head to the luxury spa for the weekend and we all want to wish you good luck while you're all relaxing for the weekend while the rest of us slouch at our great aunt's house," Lynn answered.
"Gee, uh, thanks for telling me that," Lori said politely, "Now if you'll excuse me, Lincoln and I have a weekend of relaxation ahead. So why don't you all get ready to see your great aunt Ruthie?"
The girls didn't have any other choice but to obey her.
"All right, Lori. You win," Lola said as Lori walks back to her bedroom humming happily, putting her, Lily's and Linc's toothbrushes in their suitcases. They then hear the doorbell ring.
"Oh, my. That must be Ronnie Anne ringing the doorbell," Lori said.
"Oh, you might be right, dear," Bobby replied, "Lincoln! Get the door!"
"Right on it, Dad," Lincoln said as he runs downstairs to the door, "I really hope it's Ronnie Anne," he then opens up the door to see that it is actually Ronnie Anne at the front porch with Maria.
"Hey, brother. Are you all ready for a long weekend away at the Royal Woods Spa?" Ronnie Anne said.
"What? No way," Lincoln replied excitedly, "You're both coming along, too?"
"Why of course we are, Lincoln," Maria said, "We decided that we should come with you, Lily, Lori and Bobby to the luxury spa because we also decided to have ourselves the whole weekend away from some long work."
"Well. Count me in, grandma," Lincoln said.
"Poo-poo," Lily said happily as their parents Lori and Bobby then head downstairs with the luggage. Lori also carried her that contained her wallet with her credit cards and driver's license, her diary, her phone, her sunglasses and Leni's car keys to her Mustang.
"Oh, hi Mom. Hi, Ronnie. Glad to see you made it just in time," Lori said.
"Hey, Ronnie, do you mind helping us out with our luggage by the way?" Lincoln asked Ronnie Anne before she answered, "Don't mind if I do, brother."
Ronnie then helps out by carrying some of the luggage to the Mustang and placing it in the back where the groceries normally go. Rita and Lynn Sr. then come out luggage ready.
"Lori, Bobby, Lincoln, Lily, you're all going, too?" Rita asked.
"Yeah, Lincoln and I haven't had any relaxation time together in a long time," Lori said, "And my daughter Lily barely even had any relaxation time for the past year. And I though it would be best if the four... uh... I mean six of us went with you both to the luxury spa for the whole weekend."
"Even with six people coming with us, it does seem like a bit too much," Rita said, "But at least you all want some time away from those girls, so yeah. I can take it."
"Look, this is the first chance your mother and I have to relax for a long time," Lynn Sr. replied.
"I know. I'll call for the girls. Come on, girls! Are you all set to be with Aunt Ruth for the weekend?!" Lori asked as the girls head downstairs normally.
"Hey, uh Lori. Since you, Lincoln, Lily, Ronnie and Bobby are the only young ones going with our parents, we just want to wish you good luck like we said," Leni said to Lori.
"Gee, thanks Leni. Be careful while you visit your great aunt," Lori said as she pats Leni on the shoulder, "And girls, try not to get into any trouble with your aunt Ruth while we're away, okay?" and the girls responded, "Yes, Lori."
"That means you, LJ!" Lori said sternly to Lynn.
"With all due respect, Lori," Lynn said.
"So guys, are we ready to send your girls to stay with Aunt Ruth for the weekend?" Lori asked.
"Yep, we're ready," Rita responded.
"More than ever," Lynn Sr. responded.
"At ease, Mom," Lincoln responded to Lori.
"No problem, Ronnie Anne replied.
"Well, fellas, it seems like you're gonna be the ones taking the girls to your Great Aunt Ruthie's, and Lincoln, Bobby, Ronnie, Lily and I will all head straight to the luxury spa and check out right away," Lori said.
"Hmmm. That doesn't sound like a bad idea," Lynn Sr. responded.
"Come on, girls. Time for you to go to Aunt Ruthie's for the weekend," Rita called.
"Yes, mother," the sisters said dejectedly as they all went out the door. Lori, Bobby, Lincoln, Lily, Ronnie Anne and Maria all got inside Leni's Mustang, which Lori, who was at the wheel, starts up the vehicle and Bobby was carrying their jug of change, while the rest of the family hopped into Vanzilla which was right next to the Mustang that Lori, Lincoln, Bobby, Ronnie, Lily and Maria were about to head off in.
"Don't worry, everyone. Those parents are gonna stop at Aunt Ruth to drop the girls while Lincoln, Bobby, Lily and I all head straight to our luxury spot for the weekend," Lori said, "Are you all ready to go, everybody?"
"Yes dear," Bobby responded.
"Yeah, Mom. I'm ready," Lincoln responded to Lori.
"All set, Mom," Ronnie Anne replied.
"Wiwy all set," Lily responded.
"Well, all right then, let's go," Lori said as she pulled the Mustang out of the driveway and onto the road to head on off to the luxury spa where they'll be spending the weekend. Rita then pulled out of the driveway in their Vanzilla and onto the road as well, but Rita is going to make a stop on the way at Aunt Ruth's where she'll drop the eight girls off.
At Aunt Ruthie's house, things were going quite well, since she was taking care of her old precious plants and her beloved cats as well.
"My, these plants sure look gorgeous," Aunt Ruth peacefully said, "I wonder if I'll serve them something different for those guests besides my old crummy molded pudding this time," suddenly, the van arrives at her house, "My, oh my. Who could that be?"
Rita and Lynn Sr. then get out of the van and greet her, "Hi, Ruthie. How ya doing?"
"I'm doing great. Glad to see you dropped by," Aunt Ruth said as the girls then get out of the van and head towards the aunt, "Well, well. What have we here?"
"Lana, Aunt Ruth does seem a bit, uh, smelly," Lola said nervously, "But since Lori and her kids are gonna be away for the weekend, I guess I'll take it."
"There you go, Lola," Lana said.
"We're gonna do exactly what you say," Lynn said depressingly.
"And we'll take good care of your kitties while we're here," Luna said depressingly.
"Yeah, and I may even scrub your little bunions too, Ruthie," Leni said depressingly.
"Yeah, and we'll be good to you while they're away," Lucy said depressingly.
"Hey hey hey, looks like you're all wanting to be with me right now," Aunt Ruth said cheerfully.
"Yeah, we all wanted to since we really didn't have a choice," Luan said depressingly.
"Wow, Ruthie, my kids are actually being different lately," Lynn Sr. said surprisingly.
"Yeah, they're actually agreeing to be with you since they really didn't have a choice," Rita replied to Ruth.
"Well, that's quite nice, dear," Ruth said to Rita.
"Yeah, and talking about a vacation, I think we should get going," Lynn Sr. responded.
"Maybe you're right, honey. We should be getting going. I think Lori and her kids might be waiting for us at the spa," Rita said as the two then get back inside the van, "All right, kids. We're going to the spa now. Be good to your great aunt and we'll see you on Monday. Okay?"
"Bye. Good luck. Be careful. We love you. Have fun. Take care," the girls all replied as Rita and Lynn Sr. drive off to the luxury spa at last while the girls went inside Aunt Ruthie's.
At the Royal Woods Luxury Spa, Lori, Bobby, Maria and the kids have already arrived, as they parked inside the parking lot before they headed out of the car and got their luggage out of their back and Bobby was carrying the jug of change.
"Doesn't it feel great, guys? A long weekend away from those troublesome girls is what we all need," Lori said in relief.
"Yep, you said it, dear," Bobby said.
"Lily love vacations," Lily replied.
"Well, I'll be honest. It feels very much like a family vacation for me," Ronnie Anne remarked.
"Hey, Ronnie. Take a chill pill," Lincoln informed Ronnie Anne, "It's a little weekend getaway. Okay?"
"Maybe you're right. We are here to vacate and relax for a whole weekend, am I right?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"Now now, fellas. Just keep yourselves calm," Maria said to Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily, "Like you said, we're on a long weekend away from those troublesome girls like Lori said."
They then hear another vehicle pulling into the parking lot, which happens to be Vanzilla pulling in.
"Wow. We're here at the spa at last," Rita said as she and Lynn Sr. then get out of the van, carrying out their luggage and jug of change.
"Wow. You both got here quick," Lori said surprisingly.
"Yeah, we were able to come to this place without any problems," Rita replied.
"Well that's good because we were about to check out right away," Lori said.
"Well, let's not just stand here and chat, let's go inside and check out," Bobby said as they all then head inside with all their luggage. Lori then decides to check out at the front.
"Welcome to the Royal Woods Resort and Spa," an employee named Jared Morgan said, "How may I help you?"
"Hi, this is Lori Marie Loud checking in. There's six of us. Me, Bobby, my uh... mother-in-law, and my kids, Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily. Oh, and uh, Mom and Dad are also checking in," Lori said as they all place the two jugs of change towards one another.
"Oh, all righty, then. Uh, just the four bags for you all?" Jared asked before Lynn Sr. responded, "No, that's not all. We also got two of our own."
"All right, so that's six bags. Don't you worry. We got two rooms perfect for you all. I'll get you both some keycards," Jared said as she proceeds to grab some keycards for the two guests checking in and they then look around the lobby.
"Wow, Mom, we're really excited!" Lincoln said to Lori.
"Me too, kid! We all are!" Lori responded.
"Wow! This resort is actually quite nice," Bobby said.
"Yeah. I actually could kind of get used to spending a weekend here with you all, along with your daughter Lily and even Lincoln, my one and only adopted brother that's perfect for my age," Ronnie Anne responded.
"Hey, look, fellas. This is the first chance my wife and I have to relax for a long time," Lynn Sr. replied.
"Yeah, and we haven't had one since the summer of 1968," Rita said.
"Yeah, I know. And Lincoln and I haven't had a chance to relax for a long time. And Lily hardly had any chances to relax for the past year," Lori said nervously.
"Hmmm. I guess you might be right, Lori," Lynn Sr. replied.
"But don't you worry. I'll make sure that no trouble ensues at the spa, all right?" Lori asked.
"Yeah, and we'll call our Aunt Ruth once in a while and tell her how the girls are doing," Bobby replied.
"Yeah, we'll all be so good that you both won't even know we're there," Lincoln said.
"Yeah. I think this might turn out great after all," Lori agreed.
"Well, it looks like this might be it," Rita replied," We'll all be in two separate rooms this weekend and my husband and I are gonna have a room to ourselves, I think."
"I know, mother. I know. We'll see how the vacation goes for all of us," Lori said.
Jared then returns with the two keycards, one for Lynn Sr. and one for Lori, "All right, your rooms are all set, here are the keycards to your separate rooms," she said as she handed the two keycards to them, "The elevators are on your right. We hope you all enjoy your stay for the weekend ."
"He he. Thank you, uhhh..." Lori said.
"Jared. Jared Morgan."
"Jared, right," Lori replied.
"Hey, fellas. Let's head to our rooms right away," the father replied as they all carry their luggage with them as they all then enter the elevator. Lori then pushes a button for the parents' floor. The elevator then went up to their parents' floor. When the elevator opened on their floor, the parents then walked out of the elevator.
"Hey, guys. Be good while we're in a separate room, okay?" Rita asked.
"Don't worry Mom and Dad, we will," Lori said as they all waved at Rita and Lynn Sr. as the elevator then closed as they all went up another floor.
"Hey, hon. Do you think they'll be all right on the next floor up?" Lynn Sr. asked.
"Not to worry, dear. They're gonna be fine. Now come on, honey. We've got a weekend of relaxation ahead," Rita said as she and Lynn Sr. then walk down the hallway to their respective hotel room in which their room number is 236. Rita then pushed her keycard in and she and Lynn Sr. both entered the room and they see that their room includes a living room with a brand new 25-inch CRT TV that was installed into the room last month, a kitchen with a regular-sized fridge and counters, a normal bathroom with a bathtub and a shower area, and a medium room with a king-sized bed, "Wow. This is quite the style for us, honey."
"Yeah, and come to think of it, I think this trip might be what we need. I wonder how they'll do in their room which is a floor up," Lynn Sr. replied.
Meanwhile, with Lori, Bobby, Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, Lily and Maria, they were all carrying their luggage with them as they were located a floor higher than the parents. They then arrived at their hotel room which their room number is 284.
"Wow. This is actually nice, Mom. We could get used to being here for a long weekend," Lincoln said to Lori.
"Poo-poo," Lily agreed with Lincoln.
"Ha ha ha. You said it, kids," Lori said as she pushes the keycard in and enters the room with Lincoln, Lily, Bobby, Ronnie Anne and Maria as they see their room includes a large living room with a big 32-inch RCA ColorTrak2000 TV, a kitchen with a full size fridge and counters, a large bathroom with a big bathtub the size of a hot tub, and a large room with two king sized beds.
"Whoa! This is huge!" Lincoln said with surprise.
"No kidding! This is perfect for our vacation!" Ronnie Anne said with surprise.
"Poo..." Lily said with surprise.
"Oh my! This is bigger than a real apartment room after all!" Bobby said with surprise.
"Wow! Look at this! This is like a real luxury!" Lori said with surprise.
"Wow! I have to agree with you all. It sure is like a real vacation," Maria said with surprise.
Lori then opened the curtains to see a large view of the entire city of Royal Woods, along with a big swimming pool down below, a tennis court, and more.
"Guys, I've got the feeling that this is gonna be the best summer ever!" Lori said to her family.
"I have to agree. This is quite a real luxury," Bobby said to Lori, "Say, why don't we all head on over to the spa for a little massaging."
"Massage?" Lincoln said excitedly.
"A little massaging doesn't sound bad," Ronnie Anne responded.
"Yeah. Sure. A little massaging will be great," Lori said.
"Hmmm, yeah. Maybe it'll help us get our minds off those troublemaking sisters of yours, Lori," Maria replied.
"Well, let's waste no time and head to the spa immediately," Lori said as they all head onto the spa, now wearing bathrobes as Rita and Lynn Sr. head onto the spa with them over at the counter. Lori then rings the bell, "Hello, manager. You got some customers here."
A worker named Diem Doan responds to the bell and comes out, "Welcome to our spa, young lady. How may I help you all?"
"Hey there, manager. There's eight of us here and we'd like to book up the entire massage facility," Lori said.
"Go right ahead, young lady. We'll get you all motivated," Diem Doan said.
Boy, this is gonna be great," Lincoln said.
Later on in the massaging facility, the seven guests are getting oil rubbed on them. As the camera pans around to see what was going on, the last one to show up is Lori, who was wearing only her pink one-piece swimsuit, Diem Doan approaches her, and she then squirts some oil onto her hands and starts rubbing Lori's upper back.
"Mmmm, that oil is quite the beauty," Lori said quietly, "It's making me feel like I'm having a real vacation."
"You sure are quite the young lady that loves enjoying this place, aren't you?" Diem asked.
"Yeah, I sure am. A little lower on the back, please," Lori demanded with a soothing voice.
"As you wish, your majesty," Diem Doan said as she then rubs the oil a little lower on Lori's back.
"Mmm mmm mmm. This is the life," Lori said softly.
"Yep, you said it, Mom," Lincoln agreed softly.
"Goo-goo," Lily said softly.
"Mmmm, lower please," Ronnie Anne said.
Later, after their time of being massaged, they all then decided to head to the hot tub for a little relaxation.
"Mmm mmm mmm. This hot tub is like a real luxury for our vacation," Lori said as she was in the hot tub with the others.
"You said it, Mom. This just doesn't get any better than this," Lincoln agreed with Lily.
"Poo-poo," Lily said before suddenly, Ronnie Anne then farts in the hot tub, causing more bubbles to circulate in the hot tub.
"Ronnie. Did you just..." Lori said to Ronnie Anne.
"No way," Maria said.
"How was that even possible?" Maria asked.
"Well, it kind of gets the bubbles going nice and smoothly," Ronnie Anne replied.
"Mmmm. Nothing better than a nice weekend away from the girls," Bobby said soothingly.
"Yep. It's quite the experience," Ronnie Anne said.
"Ahhh. Yeah, I wonder how the whole weekend is gonna go," Lynn Sr. said quietly.
Later that night after a day of relaxation, Rita, Lynn Sr., Lori, Bobby, Lincoln,, Lily, Ronnie Anne and Maria all went back to their respected rooms to rest up for the night. Lincoln was then seen climbing into bed with Bobby, Lori and Lily, while Ronnie Anne climbed in with Maria.
"Ahhh. Nothing better than relaxing in a nice beautiful bed with Mom and Dad," Lincoln said peacefully.
"Mm-hmm. It's perfect and I think that's how it should stay," Bobby agreed.
"Poo-poo," Lily agreed.
"Bobby honey, would it spoil the mood right now if I call Aunt Ruth to see how she's doing? I have her phone number so I can call her anytime," Lori said as she picks up the phone and calls Aunt Ruth.
At Aunt Ruth's house, where the eight girls were, Ruth had the girls tucked into bed altogether after she told them a bedtime story.
"Wow. These girls are so precious. I'm so glad they're obeying me on their weekly visit here," Aunt Ruth said before she then hears a phone ringing, "Ooh. Must be a phone call going off," she then heads up to the phone to answer and picks it up, "Hello there. You've reach the house of Great Aunt Ruth. How may I help you?"
It then starts up a split screen with Lori at the Royal Woods Resort and Spa on the right and Aunt Ruth on the left.
"Hi, Great Aunt Ruth, How are you doing?" Lori asked, "Are the girls behaving while visiting you?"
"I'm doing great," Aunt Ruth replied politely, "And the girls actually seem to be getting along with me this weekend, and they're actually doing whatever I tell them to do."
"That's amazing. And did you feed them anything for a meal?" Lori said nervously, "I really hope it wasn't that crummy moldy pudding that time."
"What? No no, Lori. I fed them some fresh turkey and potatoes for dinner," Aunt Ruth said before Lori gave a sigh of relief.
"Thank god. That's a much better meal for them," Lori said, "Well, I'll call you again sometime later this weekend and see how the girls are doing. Have fun with the girls. Night, Ruthie.
"Night, Lori," Aunt Ruth said as the split screen then moves leftward to Lori as she hangs up the phone and was about to doze off. Lincoln, Lily and Bobby are already asleep along with Ronnie Anne and Maria.
"Boy, I have a feeling that tomorrow's gonna be another bright and wonderful day," Lori said as she gives her son Lincoln, daughter Lily, and Bobby all a goodnight kiss, "Good night, kids. Sweet dreams. Good night, Bobby. Love you dearly, honey," Lori then turns off the bedroom lamp before she yawns and falls asleep with Lincoln and Bobby and started dreaming, "And Goodnight, Royal Woods Spa."
Meanwhile, later that night at Aunt Ruth's house, the entire house was quiet and dark since all the lights were turned off and Ruth and her kitties were sleeping together. All of the girls were also sleeping soundly together, except for Luna who was still wide awake.
"Man, if only I went on that weekend vacation at the resort with Lori and her kids," Luna said in her thoughts as she sits up on the bed and shakes Luan awake, "Hey, Luan! Luan!
"What is it? Isn't it a little past 11:00 P.M.?" Luan asked.
"Don't worry. I'm going to save you girls," Luna said.
"Okay. Save me from what?" Luan asked as Luna nods off, and walks to the middle of the big group of sisters.
"Ladies! Ladies!" Luna said as she claps and the girls begin to stir around one another.
"What? Who is it?" the sisters proclaimed.
"Shhh. You guys, I have to get all of us out of here," Luna said to her seven sisters.
"Who else can we call, Luna?" Lynn asked.
"No, bro! We have to get out of here! Now! We need to see our bro at the Royal Woods Spa," Luna said.
"Are you literally nuts, Luna?" Leni asked sternly.
"No. I really mean it. We have to go out and do something fun this summer!" Luna said.
"Luna, Lori, Lincoln and Lily are already having a fun time away from us," Lisa informed Luna, "I'm worried that if you joined in with them, you'd end up making their ears bleed with your guitar riffs!
"Well, all I'm saying is that we can't wait around and wait for people to figure things out, okay?! It's not gonna happen!" Luna proclaimed, "Lori and her kids just keep taking everything from us and saying it's for our own good! Well, it isn't because it's wrong! But who's to say we can't go out and have a little goddamn fun this summer?! If we want things to be fun, then we just gotta go do it!"
"Luna's right. It's time we actually spend some of our own time at a hotel with them," Lynn agreed with Luna.
"Well, the parents are just gonna be making more restrictions, and more rules when we're supposed to be having fun," Lucy said.
"Yeah, who's gonna fight to go back to the way things were?" Luna asked.
"We sure as hell will!" Luna replied quietly.
"Well, Luna is saying to us that we can make things normal for all of us again, and make this summer the way it's supposed to be!" Lana agreed.
"That's right! The way it is supposed to be!" Leni remarked, "Chilling under the hot sun, checking out at hotels, spending days at the beach, going on road trips!"
"Look it all doesn't matter right now, guys," Lana said, "All we gotta do is just break the hell out of here."
"But, keep quiet. Ruthie's sleeping," Luna replied.
Meanwhile, in the front of the house, Luna, Leni, and Luan sneak down the hall; Aunt Ruth does not notice since she is sleeping. Lucy, Lana, Lola and Lisa all follow them, with Luna leading. At the front of the house, Luna heads to the front door, which is locked, "Shhhh," Luna informed as she unlocks the door, and opens it wide. The girls then rush out the door and pour out of Aunt Ruth's house quietly.
"All right, everyone. Keep quiet," Leni said to them, "Let's head back to our house and switch into our summer attire."
They all then head back to the house through the back door, before heading on up to their rooms to switch into their summer clothes. After they switched into their summer clothes, they all then got some of their stuff packed in some luggage before heading back outside onto the cold streets in the middle of the night, given that is was about 11:28 P.M. While walking on the sidewalks, Luan then yawns, "Shouldn't we go back to bed, Luna?"
"Nonsense, sis. I'm doing this just so that we can be with our baby bro this summer," Luna said as Leni gets an idea.
"Hey, girls. I think we might be near a bus stop," Leni said as everyone looks at her confused.
"What?" Lynn asked Leni.
Leni then responded, "I think a ride on the transit bus should help us get to the Royal Woods Spa faster."
"But Leni, people don't normally ride on transit buses in the middle of the night," Lynn said as they then discover that they are near a bus stop.
"Leni's right. Maybe we are at a bus stop," Luna said as they all then sit at a bus stop. About three minutes later, the bus arrived.
"The bus is here. We should probably get on," Leni said as the eight girls went inside the bus with their luggage.
"Hi, ladies. What are you all doing up this late at night?" the bus driver said.
"I have a question, how much does it cost us to ride this bus?" Lynn asked.
"It's fifty cents, actually," the bus driver said.
"Hmmm, good question," Leni said as she pulls out her wallet and grabs 2 quarters out of her pockets and then hands the quarters to the bus driver, "This one's for all eight of us girls by the way. We're heading to the Royal Woods Spa by the way."
"Is that where you want to go, girls?" the bus driver asked.
"Yeah, because we need to find our little bro," Luna said sadly.
"Okay. Thank you," The bus driver said as the girls then take their seats and the bus drives off. At around 11:40 P.M., the bus arrives at Royal Woods Spa. Leni and the other girls grab their luggage and all get off the bus.
"Hey, thanks for giving us a ride on the bus," Luna told the bus driver.
"Yeah, it was worth our time," Leni said positively.
"No problem. Have a good time," The bus driver said as he leaves. The girls then head inside the resort with their luggage, surprised to see that the doors were still open.
"Wow. I had no idea that this resort is actually open during night hours," Leni said.
"My guess that it's open 24/7," Luna said as they head onto the front counter where Jared Morgan is.
"Welcome to the Royal Woods Resort and Spa. How may I help you?" Jared Morgan said.
"Uh, yes, we're actually looking for Lori, Lincoln and Lily right now," Leni said.
"Yeah, I just want to be with them this summer. Do you know where they are?" Luna asked.
"Oh, uh, uhm, yes. Uh, They're in room number 284," Jared Morgan said, "Make sure to knock right now because they're asleep."
"Okay, thank you," Luna said as they then head to the elevator with their luggage. Leni then pushes a button for Lori, Lily and Lincoln's floor as the elevator went up for it. When the elevator opened on that floor, they all then walked out of the elevator, carrying their luggage with them. They then arrive at room number 284, where Lori, Lincoln and Lily are all residing.
"All right, dudettes. Make sure to keep quiet. Lori and her kids are sleeping," Luna said silently and they agreed with her.
Meanwhile inside Room #284, Lori, Bobby, Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, Lily and Maria were all sleeping soundly when they heard a knock on the door that happens to wake them from her sleep.
"Hello? Is somebody there? It's close to midnight and I think you should find a place to sleep," Lori said as she was yawning and getting up.
"No, Lori. It's just us," Luna said as Lori realizes that it's actually Luna outside of the room at the door. She then decides to open the door to see that her eight sisters have entered the spa, looking guilty at her.
Lori then spoke drearily, "Huh? What are you all doing here? It's a quarter to midnight."
"Hey, Lori. We all came here because Luna missed you and Lily and even Lincoln," Leni said sadly.
"Oh my god, really?" Lori asked with revelation.
"Yeah, it's true, Lori. I really do miss you three when you're away," Luna said as she was tearing up.
"Yes, but at least we were good with Aunt Ruth," Lynn replied sadly.
"Really?" Lori asked, "You... you were?
Meanwhile, Lincoln, Bobby, Ronnie and Maria all get out of bed to see what's going on.
"Hey, Mom. What's going on here?" Lincoln asked Lori.
"Yeah, what's all the ruckus during the middle of the night?" Bobby asked.
"Yeah, and I need to rest up for tomorrow," Ronnie Anne asked as they also see that the sisters have entered.
"Luna?" Lincoln said.
"Lynn?" Ronnie Anne said.
"Girls?" Bobby said.
"Hey, bro. How ya doin'?" Luna asked.
"What are you all doing still up during the night?" Lincoln asked.
"We just want to be with you all since Luna misses you," Leni said sadly.
"I have a feeling that spending the weekend at Aunt Ruth's wasn't really a good idea for us eight sisters," Lisa informed.
"Don't you worry. We will be good here the whole time," Luna begged.
"Yeah, Lori. You and I will both make sure they will not cause any trouble," Luna begged.
"Lori, please let us stay with you guys," Leni begged.
"Yeah, we really mean it," Lynn said as all of the girls look at her with promising faces, Lori, Bobby, Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, Lily and Maria were a bit nervous and they look at each other.
"Uh, guys, should we let them stay because Luna misses us?" Lori asked.
Lincoln then thinks for a few moments and makes his decision afterwards, "Yeah, Mom. We'll let them stay with us."
"Yeah," Lily agreed with Lincoln.
"Yeah, we should probably invite them in," Bobby responded.
"Yeah, go ahead, Lori," Maria responded.
"Yeah, as long as they don't cause trouble," Ronnie Anne responded.
Lori nods and they turn back to the sisters, "All right, girls. You can stay with us. Room's open for you all."
The sisters then have happy looks on their faces as they all enter the room with their luggage, having joyful looks on their faces. Luna then hugs both Lori and Lincoln.
"Aw, thanks, dudes. I knew you would invite me here," Luna said cheerfully, "We promise we'll be good."
"Gee, you're welcome. Now, everyone in bed. We still need to get some rest," Lori said softly to her family.
"Oh, thanks, Lori," Lana said as they all then get into bed. Luna, Lucy, Lana, Lisa all jump in with Lori, Bobby, Lily and Lincoln, and Leni, Luan, Lynn and Lola all jump in with Maria and Ronnie Anne.
"All right, everyone. There's nothing to worry about, now everyone, let's go back to sleep. Good night, everybody," Lori said as they all went to sleep and Lola was the last one to doze off as they all snuggled up in the two beds together for the night.
Friday, June 13, 1986
They were all still snuggling up in bed as the sun was rising at 6:15 A.M. Lori then wakes up and yawns, before she looks at Lincoln and Lily with a big smile on her face.
"Good morning, kids," Lori quietly whispered to Lincoln and Lily as they begin to wake up.
"Morning, Mom.
"Morning," Lily said as she giggles.
"You ready for another day of fun and relaxation, kids?" Lori asked softly.
"We sure are, Mom," Lincoln replied quietly as everyone else started waking up, including Leni, Ronnie Anne, Maria and Luna.
"Boy, I sure had a pretty good dream," Luna said relaxingly.
"Yeah, Lori's literally a lifesaver," Leni said relaxingly.
"Wow. This beauty sleep is quite a real treat," Lola said in a positive manner.
"Yep. This is the life," Lana said happily.
"I have to say, this is like a step out of the darkness and into the sunlight," Lucy said relaxingly.
"Well, let's all get us some breakfast together," Lori said as they all got out of bed and started getting ready for another great day at the hotel, starting it out by heading down to the first floor to get some nice fresh eggs, bacon and waffles for breakfast, "Mmmm. Nothing like some plates full of bacon, eggs and waffles to start a beautiful day at a hotel."
"Yep, Mom's the genius here alongside Dad," Lincoln agreed.
"Mm-hmm. It sure sounds tasty and delicious here," Maria commented.
Rita and Lynn Sr. then come into the first floor, excited for another fun day, only for them to find out that their daughters are now with Lori, Lily and Lincoln.
"Uh, guys, can someone explain what our kids are doing here?"
"Well, ummm..."
"Lincoln, honey, I think we should all explain together. Ma, Pa, maybe you should both sit down with us," Lori said as Rita and Lynn Sr. then sit down with Lori and the others, ready to find out what happened.
"So, what was it you want to tell me, Lori?" Rita asked Lori.
"It's about what happened overnight. Apparently, the girls came here looking for me and my kids," Lori continued explaining.
"WHAT?!" Rita and Lynn Sr. said in shock and fear.
"It's true. We all broke out of Aunt Ruth's last night because I was missing them both a lot," Luna explained.
"Wait, what?" Rita said in surprise.
"It's true. Luna led all of us out of Aunt Ruth's house to find you guys," Leni explained.
"Really? You did all of that during the middle of the night to find all of us?" Lynn Sr. asked in surprise.
"Yes, after we escaped, we all went back home and got our luggage packed," Leni explained.
"Yeah, and after we got our luggage packed, we all took a night bus to the Royal Woods Spa. And then after we arrived here, we then arrived at room number 284, while Lori was sleeping soundly," Lynn explained.
"Yeah, and then we all realized that they were missing us while we were all away here at the hotel and spa," Lori explained.
"Hmmm, Lori seems to have a point," Maria commented.
"Yeah, and when we found out that Luna was missing me and and the kids during the vacation, I decided to let them stay with us for the rest of the vacation. Do you both agree with me on it?" Lori asked her parents as they look at each other, a little nervous. They then nod and turn back to Lori.
"You know, Lori? I'm glad you decided to invite them here at the spa because they were missing you. So, yeah. We do agree with you on what you all said," Rita said as they were touched.
"Why thanks. Now, eat up, fellas. We've got another fun day ahead of us," Lori said happily as they continue to eat up their breakfast.
Later, after they finish their breakfast, they then prepare to head on back to their hotel room together.
"Hey, guys."
"What?" Rita asked Lori.
"What is it?" Lynn Sr. asked Lori.
"Before we all have another day of fun, I want you both to come to my hotel room for something important," Lori explained, "It's something that I wanted to tell to the younger girls since they were not even born yet by the time it happened... and... I just want to give it out to you all."
Rita and Lynn Sr. then join in with them and head on back up to room #284. By then, they all sit down together with Lincoln sitting right next to Lori.
"All right, everyone. You all know why we are together here right now. Right?" Lori explained.
"What is it about?" Leni asked her.
"It's about something I've wanted to tell to the younger girls just now..." Lori explained in fear.
"Huh?" Luna asked with concern.
"What?" Luan asked with concern.
"And if you are wondering what that story is..." Lori paused for a moment and then... "Here's the thing. I'm about to tell Lisa and Lily about how I took Lincoln in as my son."
"Here's the thing. I'm about to tell the younger girls about how I took Lincoln in as my son soon after he was born."
"Whoa, Lori. You... you took Lincoln in as your son?" Lisa asked her in shock.
"No way!" Lucy said in surprise.
"How was that even possible?" Lana said in surprise.
"Yeah," Lori said softly, "...and I'm going to tell you girls all about how it happened."
It then fades to a long flashback to April 12, 1975 at the house backyard, where a baby shower was being held for Rita, who was pregnant with Lincoln at the time.
Lori started narrating the backstory, "It was during the spring of 1975. Early-to-mid April to be exact. Mom was 36 weeks pregant with Lincoln. And a baby shower was being held in our backyard. But it felt like it suddenly became the best day of my life for me, since I was so excited when they said they were going to have a boy."
Arturo was quite pleased with Rita inviting him and Maria over, "Thank you for inviting me and my family over to your baby shower, Mrs. Loud."
"Glad you could all be here," Rita said pleadingly to the Santiago family.
"Everybody was here at the baby shower," Lori continued narrating, "But out of all the people here, I was the most excited about Mom and Dad having a boy."
"Oh my, god! Mom and Dad! I am so excited for the baby to come!" Young Lori said excitedly to her parents.
"Now now, Lori. We know you are excited about us having a boy," Rita said to Lori who was so ecstatic, "But you've really got to calm down or you'll pass out!"
"I know I have to, but I don't think I could be much happier than I am right now!" Young Lori said happily before she squealed.
"But with Leni on the other hand, she was not happy with our mom and dad having a boy, as she thinks that boys are annoying, though she was however having a fair time nonetheless," Lori narrated.
With Young Leni, she was wearing a new party dress and was with her aunt Shirley.
"What a pretty party dress, Leni," Aunt Shirley commented.
"Thank you, Aunt Shirley," Young Leni responded, "My mom and dad bought it for me especially for my mom's baby shower. I'm just hoping it's another sister for me."
But suddenly, Luna laughs while making fun of Leni's dress. Young Leni then took notice and turned to her.
"Don't say a single word, twerp," Young Leni said angrily to Young Luna.
"Boy, I am so excited about this, Luan and Lynn!" Young Lori said happily to her sisters, "After six years, Mom and Dad are finally going to have a boy! In fact, I want to be like a mother to that boy!"
"Now, take it easy, Lori!" Young Luan said to Young Lori, "We all get that you're excited about the new baby being a boy! We all know that."
"I mean, it's nothing," Young Lynn replied, "Look at Pop-Pop. He's taking bets on the new baby's weight."
It turns out that Albert was in front of a blackboard, taking bets on the new baby's weight.
"All right, everyone, I got $20 on 8 pounds, 6 ounces. 8 pounds 6. Who's got 8-7?" Albert asked them.
"I'm in for 12!" a man shouted.
"What?! Twelve pounds?! What the hell are you, crazy?!" Albert said angrily.
"God, girls. You can hardly tell that she's gained any weight," Uncle Ethan said to them.
While turning over, Rita accidentally knocks over the table with her stomach.
"Oh, don't worry," a woman said to Rita.
"I mean, you know from behind." Uncle Ethan said to them.
Albert then came to Rita, "There you are, Rita," he said happily, "How's our little man?"
"He's doing quite well, Dad," Rita said sweetly to her father, "In fact, your granddaughter Lori is super excited about this that she can't even control her happiness right now."
Lori was squealing in excitement, still happy about her parents having a boy.
"I'd say, you're doing quite good, Rita," Albert said in a proud tone, "In fact, I can't wait to have myself a grandson at last, Rita."
"Yeah, let's hope for Lori's sake it's a boy," Aunt Ruth said to Rita, "Because I'd hate to think how much those kids were squabbling if there was another girl in the family."
"Uh uh uh, let's not to any gender stereotyping now," Rita said to them.
"Say, I wonder what my granddaughters are up to right now," Albert said to himself.
It turns out, Young Lori was inside the house showing her sisters Luan and Lynn to the baby's new room.
"Inside, I showed Luan and Lynn the new room for the baby," Lori narrated, "And throughout the whole time, I was really expecting Mom and Dad to have a boy."
And it was true, as the room has been remodeled for the new baby boy, as the walls were repainted orange, with a crib festooned with balloons and an "It's a boy!" banner on the wall. Young Lori, Young Luan and Young Lynn enter the remodeled room to their amazement.
"Wow, sounds like Mom and Dad have remodeled the room," Young Luan said to Young Lori.
"Yep, it's for the new baby boy," Young Lori explained happily, "In fact, I cannot wait to take responsibilities for him once he's brought into the world."
"Wow, are you really serious about being the baby's mother once your mother gives birth to him?" Young Luan asked her sister.
"Well, the baby will be boy. We already know it," Young Lynn said, "So we'll know he'll be cute like me. But he might also be a little sporty."
"I don't know, Lynn," Young Lori said nervously, "We'll find out what interests he'll have once he's born."
Suddenly, Leni enters with an angry look on her face, "Oh, brother! You dumb girls have got a lot to learn about the facts of life," Young Leni said grumpily.
"Calm down, Leni," Young Lori said in a concerned manner, "Mom and Dad told us that they're going to have a boy."
"Oh, you really think so, Lori?" Young Leni said angrily to Young Lori, "Because I already met boys at school, and they are so stupid, selfish and annoying!"
"Leni, boys are not stupid, selfish or annoying," Young Lori denied, "I think boys are super cool, and they're radical!"
"I don't like the look of this, Luan," Young Lynn said to Young Luan.
"Since I'm the most intelligent and responsible of the family, do you think I'll be able to take care of Lincoln once he's born, Leni?" Young Lori asked her sister.
"You'll have to figure it out for yourself, Lorraine!" Young Leni said suspiciously to Young Lori, "Because when your new baby brother gets here, he's gonna gets all the toys and the love and the attention. And your mommy and daddy will forget all about you. It'll be like, "Look, Rita... there's that stupid little girl in the house again."
"That's not true, Leni!" Young Lori said angrily, "He's gonna be my son once's he born!"
"Yeah, Leni! Please be reasonable with us!" Young Luan said, agreeing with Young Lori.
"Besides, even if the new baby is born, Mom and Dad will still love me no matter what!" Young Lori said to Young Leni before she heard something special to her ears, "Say, what's that beautiful music out there?"
Once Young Lori finished, the four went to see what was happening out the window.
"And there was Luna right outside, preparing to sing such a special song to all the guests out there," Lori narrated.
It turns out Luna was singing to the tune of the first couple of lines of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "The ABC Song" and "Baa Baa Black Sheep". One of the guests accompanies her on accordion.
"A baby is very neat, a baby is a special treat"
Young Leni then looks on from the new baby's room and said, "Ugh! Who does Luna Loud think she is?!"
"Leni! Wait!" Young Lori tried to speak to Young Leni.
"But it was too late, Leni went outside immediately, and we all followed suit," Lori narrated.
"A baby has lots of toes, a baby has a tiny nose"
Outside, the four sisters went outside where all were singing, unless specified.
Luna was still singing along, "A baby is a little dickens, a baby is a cuddly chicken"
However, Leni was next to Rita's belly, chuckling, as she plans to make her move as Luna still sang.
"A baby is lots of joy..."
Suddenly, Leni barges in and interrupts them, "A baby will get all the toys!"
"What are you doing?" Young Luna said angrily before she continues singing, "A baby has a smily face"
Leni sang interrupting Luna, "A baby is from outer space"
"Leni!" Young Luna said frantically.
"Luna!" Young Leni said grumpily.
Luna sang along again, "A baby is extra fancy"
Leni then sang in interruption again, "A baby poops in his diapey"
"Leni, cut it out!" Young Luna said angrily.
"No!" Young Leni yelled quietly.
The music switches to a Tejano beat, using different arrangement as Lori, Luan and Lynn come outside to watch.
Luna continued singing, "Like a birdie, singing in a tree!"
Leni then sang along, "More like a dinosaur, screaming in your ear!"
Leni and Luna both sang along but angry to one another, "A baby is a gift, a gift from God! A baby is a gift from God, God, God! A baby is a gift."
Suddenly, Leni does a gagging gesture as Luna continues singing, "A gift from God."
With Lori, Luan and Lynn, they were with Lynn Sr. at the table.
Young Lynn then asked her sister, "Lori, do you really think babies are a gift from God?"
"Yes, babies are a gift from God," Young Lori replied, "And they come right out of the mother of the family."
Back to Luna and Leni as the music reverts to "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", though the Tejano flavor remains.
Luna still sang, "A baby is very special!"
But Leni then cut her off, "A baby is, is NOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTT!"
And the song suddenly ends abruptly as Leni's screaming has ultimately induced Rita's labor after 36 1/2 weeks, much to the shock of her husband, her father and the others.
"L...Lynn..." Rita said fearfully to her husband, "My water broke. I think it's time!"
"It's time?! Oh boy!" Lynn Sr. started to panic as he alerted everybody, "Everybody to your stations! Rita's about to have her baby! Dad, get Aunt Ruth! Maria, call the hospital! All right, Rita. Come on. Start your breathing."
With that, Rita started her rhythmic breathing, meaning that the baby boy was about to come soon.
"Don't worry, Mom and Dad! I'm coming with you!" Young Lori said in excitement as she went with her parents to help her mother deliver the baby.
With that, everybody else started rushing to their respected cars.
"Everybody to the cars immediately!" Aunt Ruth commanded.
"Come on, grandkids! We've got a boy to deliver!" Albert commanded as he grabbed Leni, Luna, Luan and Lynn.
"Let's get to the car!" Arturo said as he and Maria went to the car together.
During the rush, everyone continued running to their vehicles in panic, with bags of chips flying in the air and cups of soda getting spilled and chairs being knocked over, and one of the guests suddenly sets off the sprinkler system.
"Would somebody turn that sprinkler off?" Aunt Shirley yelled as they all continued to their vehicles, with Albert and Lynn looking on to one another.
"Now that's what I call a baby shower, LJ," Albert said happily to Lynn Jr.
"Yeah!" Young Lynn said happily.
With that, they all rushed to their cars immediately and they all raced to the Royal Woods Hospital as Lori continued narrating the story, "We all knew this would happen right away. That very day, when we all rushed to the hospital to get the baby delivered. And man, oh man, it was such a tough day for my sisters, but it felt like it would be the best day of my life for me."
Inside the hospital, the entire family rushes in with Rita now in a wheelchair, still doing her rhythmic breathing, as they all come up to some doctors up at the front. One of them being Dr. Roth.
"Doctor! Rita's having a baby!" Lynn Sr. shouted frantically.
"Oh yes, I heard about it," Dr. Roth replied, "In fact, Maria called and said you were on your way. I had no idea you were bringing the whole party. How far apart are the pains, Lynn?"
"Oh, I think they're..." Lynn Sr. spoke while Rita squeezes his hand very tightly, "...pretty much constant."
"All right, Rita, let's go and get you settled in, huh?" Dr. Roth said.
While Dr. Roth gets Rita ready to be put in an ordinary birthing room, Leni, Luna, Luan and Lynn had to be looked after.
"Here you go, grandkids," Albert said softly to his granddaughters.
"It's all right, girls. Mommy's going to be okay," Rita said softly to the girls.
"Girls, I have to go away for a while. I have to help Mom deliver the baby," Young Lori said sympathetically to her sisters before she went with her parents, with Rita continuing her breathing exercises, "This is something I have to do. I'll see you girls later. I promise"
With that, the doors to the birthing room closed behind Young Lori, her parents and Dr. Roth.
Inside Rita's room, which was the usual, ordinary birthing room, Rita's rhythmic breathing continues, though it's now at a faster pace. Lori and her father held onto Rita and the staff worked on Rita while Dr. Roth was giving orders.
"And it was that moment when Lincoln was about to be born," Lori narrated.
"Alright Rita, you can do this," Dr. Roth said to Rita., "I'll count to ten, and I want you to push as hard as you can, okay?"
"Okay, I'm ready," Rita responded bravely.
"Okay, one…two…"
As the doctor counted, Rita pushed, putting all the pressure on her pelvis as her husband Lynn Sr. and daughter Lori both squinted as they heard her scream.
"Nine…ten…that was good, Rita," the doctor said. "Okay, and another one. One…two…"
A few minutes passed, with Rita pushing and screaming as hard as she could.
"Nine…ten…and stop."
Rita fell back onto her pillow, with sweat dripping down her face while a nurse named Valerie offered her water, which she pushed away.
"Okay, Rita, I can see the head," Dr Roth said. "I just need you to push one more time, okay?"
Rita closed her eyes, shaking her head. "I-I can't, I'm too tired," she cried out while breathing heavily.
Lynn Sr. then scooted in closer to her. "Hey, it's okay, you're so close, honey," he said as he was wiping the sweat off Rita's face. "You can do it."
"Yeah, mom! You can do this!" Young Lori agreed, "I know you can do this! You're a strong person! You've delivered five kids over five and a half years!"
Lynn Sr. then grabbed his wife's hand and said, "Hey, Rita, I know you're tired, it's tough. But listen to me, you are so strong like Lori said. You never let anything get you down."
"Now, don't forget, mother," Young Lori said to Rita, "Five minutes of pain for a lifetime of happiness."
"Yeah, you can do it, Rita," Lynn Sr. agreed, "I know you can deliver that boy."
With encouraging words from her daughter, and husband, Rita knew what she had to do.
Letting out a scream that probably woke up half the town, she pushed as hard as she could.
"Good, keep going," Dr. Roth said.
"All right, Rita! Here it comes!" A nurse exclaimed.
"Come on, please be a boy. Please be a boy. Please be a boy." Young Lori said to herself in a hesitant manner.
"And it was that moment when that sweet little Lincoln was finally about to enter the world," Lori narrated.
Lori and Lynn Sr. were now at the end of the bed like father and daughter.
"Lori, what are you doing?" Lynn Sr. asked her.
"Dad, we have been waiting for this moment for nine months!" Young Lori exclaimed, "Now it's finally gonna happen!"
"All right! Here it comes!" A nurse exclaimed.
The baby's head was nearly out, just dangling in the doctor's hands. He could feel his eyes begin to itch as he started to cry.
"Oh my god!" Young Lori said as she was awaiting the baby's gender, hoping it was a boy.
"Okay, I got it," Dr Roth said as she pulled the baby's head out, then the shoulders.
"Finally, Lincoln has officially entered the world," Lori narrated.
Dr. Roth then looked at the baby's nether regions and then gave out the big announcement, "IT'S A BOY! WITH WHITE HAIR!"
Upon hearing that it was a boy, Lynn Sr. and Rita smiled upon that while Lori became so ecstatic as she started to cry tears of joy.
"Yes! Woo-hoo!" Young Lori cried tears of joy, "We got a baby boy! I can't wait for him to be my responsibility! Yahoo! Yeah!"
"Rita..." Lynn Sr. said quietly as he and Lori went over to Rita with tears dripping down his face as he continued, "We finally got us a baby boy."
But something different was happening. It turns out that Lori was actually carrying the baby boy in her arms, now wrapped in an blue blanket, much to Lynn Sr. and Rita's surprise.
"And there I was, holding my sweet little baby boy that would soon be known as my son," Lori narrated.
"Hello there, my wonderful, sweet baby bro," Young Lori said sweetly to the baby boy whom she thinks is her son.
"Well, I don't know if we're gonna be naming him after my father," Lynn Sr. said to Rita.
"Lynn, Lori, do you both know what you're naming him?" Rita asked.
"I think…I have one that fits him pretty well," Young Lori said as she kissed his cheek.
"You do?" Rita said quietly.
"Yeah," Young Lori agreed and gave the baby a good name, "I think we should name him Lincoln, after the 16th President of the United States, and because of how special he is to me from that white hair he has on his head."
"R-really, Lori?" her parents said quietly.
"Really, really," Young Lori said as she nodded, "Lincoln Albert Loud."
"Lincoln Loud," Lynn Sr. said to himself as he and Rita realize what a great name it is, "Yeah... that's a great name for a boy."
"I totally agree," Young Lori said happily as she still carried Lincoln in her arms, "He's amazing."
Rita and Lynn Sr. then started to become concerned while seeing Lori carrying Baby Lincoln whom she was smiling upon.
"Uh, Lori?" Lynn Sr. started to speak with Lori.
"Yeah, Dad?" Young Lori responded.
"Lori, I have something to ask you," Lynn Sr. then asked Lori, "Why are you holding our little Lincoln in your arms? Isn't your mother supposed to hold him?"
"Yeah, Lori. I just wanted to hold Lincoln while we were being carried out," Rita said in concern.
"I'm sorry, Mom and Dad," Young Lori started speaking with her parents in concern, "but since Lincoln is born, I'm going to be taking care of Lincoln."
"What?!" Rita and Lynn Sr. said in shock.
"Yeah," Young Lori continued, "I'm going to be Lincoln's mother since I was very ambitious about taking care of a baby boy like him."
Lincoln was giggling and squealing upon hearing that Lori is going to be his mother.
"Lori, are you crazy?" Lynn Sr. said in concern, "It almost seems to us that you're throwing your future dream away so you could take responsibilites for him and being his mother."
"Look, Lori, this is insane. We just cannot accept you being Lincoln's mother," Rita denied, "You're six years old, you know?"
"Look, Mom, I can take care of Lincoln just fine," Young Lori explained to her mother, "I'll be the best mother I can to my little Lincoln."
Lynn Sr. then spoke to Lori in a stern voice, "Lori, if this is the case about you wanting to be Lincoln's mother, then it seems like your mother and I will probably make plans to put Lincoln up for adoption."
Hearing the words "put up for adoption" caused Lori to gasp and also made poor baby Lincoln cry and bawl, "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
Lori then started to get defensive as she continuted holding Lincoln who was crying, "Hey, that isn't very nice, Mom and Dad! You made poor little Linky cry!"
"Trust me, Lori, if this is what you're trying to be, then it might be for the best," Rita said, concerned with Lori.
"No! I won't let you get rid of someone you gave birth to earlier!" Young Lori said sternly to her parents.
"Lori, please, you're too young to be a mother!" Lynn Sr. complained to Lincoln.
"Oh yeah?!" Young Lori said as she was starting to get angry towards her parents, "Because I was able to take care of Lynn and Luan at home by myself when Dad was away at work!"
"Lori, we're being serious! We're supposed to be his parents!" Rita proclaimed to Young Lori, "Your father and I know how to handle and take care of a baby!"
"Oh really?!" Young Lori said angrily while she raised a brow, "Because I can take care of a baby sibling as well! I already know how to do this!"
"You really think so, Lori?!" Lynn Sr. complained to Young Lori who was still holding Baby Lincoln, "Lori, your mother said you're too young to be his mother! Now give us the baby so that we can get over it or we'll have him put up for adoption!"
"NO! I won't let you!" Young Lori denied as she protected Baby Lincoln who was still crying, "I'm not gonna let you both put Lincoln up for adoption! In fact, I am not going to give this poor baby up! I'm going to do everything I can to make sure my little baby boy has a nice long happy life!"
"Lori, we're not gonna say it again!" Rita demanded, "Please hand Lincoln over to us right now or we'll put him up for adoption! You're too young to be Lincoln's mother!"
Suddenly, Baby Lincoln began crying even harder and louder, which startled the three, "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
"Ahhhhhhh!" Lynn Sr. screamed in fear, "My ears!"
"Ahhh, I never thought he would cry this loud!" Rita said now fearful.
"Hey, don't worry, Mom and Dad. I know how to make a baby stop crying," Young Lori said before she began to sing to her baby Lincoln, "Hush, little Linky, don't say a word. Mommy's gonna buy you a mockingbird. And if that mockingbird don't sing, Mommy's gonna buy you a diamond ring."
By the time she finished singing a little lullaby, Baby Lincoln stopped crying and Rita and Lynn Sr. were surprised to see that.
"Lori, di... did you get Lincoln to stop crying?" Rita said in surprise.
"Yes," Young Lori said, "This proves that I can be Lincoln's mother because I was able to get him to stop crying."
"Lori, are you sure about that?" Lynn Sr. asked her in concern.
"Yes, I'm sure of it," Young Lori replied, "Now is this really what you want, Mom and Dad?! Are you both really trying to throw something valuable away from our family just because I'm wanting to be Lincoln's mother?! If that happens, I am actually gonna have Grampa consider calling Child Protection Services for this! Please, think about what would happen if you went with that.."
Rita and Lynn Sr. then looked to one another, as they were starting to believe that Lori was speaking out the truth to them.
"So, what do you both think?" Young Lori said eagerly to her parents, "After everything I told you, will you both accept me being Lincoln's mother?"
Lynn Sr. and Rita then turned to each other and nodded heads before they then made their decision.
Lynn Sr. then gave out their decision, "You know, Lori? I think you're right about all this. We almost forgot about the fact that we'd never kick anybody out of the family. Well, Lori, I guess Lincoln can stay with us in the family as your adopted son. He's your responsibility now."
Hearing that Lincoln is now her adopted son made Lori happy as he looked up at Lori and smiled at her.
"Really?" Young Lori said happily.
"Yes, Lori," Rita said as she agreed with Lynn Sr, "We'll let Lincoln be your son."
"Thank you, Mom and Dad," Young Lori said happily before she looked down at her baby Lincoln, as they were both smiling at each other.
Later on, Albert, Aunts Ruth and Shirley and Uncle Ethan took the Loud kids into Rita's room where Lori, Rita, Lynn Sr. and Dr. Roth were.
"And there we were, when I was finally able to introduce the family to my beloved son," Lori narrated, "And boy, was i really jolly about it."
"Come on, grandkids. Time to see the new baby boy," Albert said to her granddaughters happily.
With that, all the girls were excited to see the new baby boy that Lori just took in as her son.
Young Leni was feeling sad that it wasn't another baby sister, but Young Luna comforted him, "Hey, it's all right, Leni. I know you're sad about the baby not being a girl, but you know, you just gotta get used to him."
"All right, Luna. I'll try my best," Young Leni said dejectedly.
With that, the girls went up to Lori, who was now holding Lincoln in her arms.
"Girls, We want you to meet somebody very special," Rita said softly.
"Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn. This my new adopted son, Lincoln Loud," Lori explained to her sisters, "My mom gave birth to him earlier today, and I was so excited to be his mother, and Mom and Dad agreed with me on the decision," and she then decided to introduce Lincoln to her sisters, "Lincoln, these are my sisters, Leni, Luna, Luan and Lynn."
"Awwwwwww! He's so cute!" Young Luna said sweetly.
"Super cool, bro," Young Lynn said happily.
"Well, he does look cute... and cuddly," Young Leni said sadly.
"Hehe... you really are Lori's little baby boy," Young Luna said cutely.
"See, Mom and Dad?" Young Lori said softly to her parents, "They already love one another."
And in return, Baby Lincoln giggled upon knowing that he'll be living a nice, long happy life, and that he actually has a loving and caring mother to take care of him.
Flashback ends, and camera returns to the present day in June of '86. Everyone was left in tears after hearing Lori talk about how she adopted Lincoln. Some were even blowing on tissues.
"That was the whole story about how I took Lincoln in and raised him as my own son soon after he was born," Lori finished and several of the sisters including her daughter Lily were shedding tears and blowing tissues, with Leni even having mascara on her cheeks, "Girls. Are... are you okay?"
"That was such a beautiful story, bro," Luna said as she cried tears.
"I'm so left in tears right now," Lynn commented as she also cried.
"I normally don't have emotions right now but... that story has awoke me from my genius state," Lisa started crying.
"Oh, god. I feel like you're a better sibling than I am, Lori," Lola said before she sniffs and starts crying like a baby.
"Lori..." Leni said as she was slightly crying.
"Yeah, Leni?" Lori asked in concern.
"It looks like you might possibly be the nicest sibling in the family," Leni said as she was still crying, "I was so impressed that you did something great."
"Wow. It looks like you are my mother after all," Lincoln said as he was laying his head on Lori's torso.
"That's right, Lincoln. I am your mother," Lori said softly to Lincoln as she gives hmi and Lily a kiss in the forehead and they were all in awe by this.
"Wow. It seems like Lori is Lincoln's parent since she did take him in after all," Rita replied in sadness.
"Well, I'm glad you all know that I'm Lincoln's adopted mother by now, ever since his birth, and I even told it to the younger girls as well. Say, now that we all know it, we can now start our day by continuing our fun here at the spa. How about we all go for a swim down at the pool today?" Lori suggested and they all cheer in response.
Later, they all changed into their swimsuits. While they did so, Lori and Lynn changed into their red lifeguard swimsuits and came out both holding red and white floaties.
"Look out, Royal Woods Spa. Here come Lifeguard Lori!" Lori announced.
"And Lifeguard Lynn!" Lynn announced.
"We're presenting to you..." Lori and Lynn said together, "...The Lifeguard Sisters!"
They were all amazed by the presence of them being lifeguards.
"Oh-aye! They are looking totally hot today!" Luna replied happily.
"Ooh! Looking good for lifeguard duty," Leni commented.
"I'd say this pure lifeguard presence here," Bobby commented.
With that, they all headed down to the swimming pool down below. When they arrive at the pool, they see that the pool has only a few people in it.
"Wow. This pool is barely crowded," Leni commented.
"Yeah. I could definitely use some relaxation right now," Luna commented.
"Well, don't you know? None of us have a reason to ruin your beloved vacation," Lisa commented.
"Let's hope not," Lincoln prayed.
"Well, we're all just gonna chill back on these pool chairs. We'll meet you all in the water later," Leni commented as she and the others grab some sunscreen and spray it all over their bodies before they all lay on the deck in the sun.
"All right, whatever you say, Leni," Lori commented.
"Watch out now! Papa Loud is in the house!" Lynn Sr. shouted before he tosses an inflatable lounge chair into the pool.
"Dad!" Lori shouted at her father.
"Geez, sorry!" Lynn Sr. said nervously.
"Well, are you ready to have some fun, kids?" Lori asked happily.
"I sure am, Mom!" Lincoln said happily.
"Goo!" Lily said in happiness.
"Don't worry. I'll keep a watch on the girls to make sure they don't cause any trouble," Bobby replied.
"Well, I'm in with Lincoln," Ronnie Anne commented.
"All right. Let's get in," Lori said happily as the four jump into the water together and swim around in the pool for a while with Rita, Lynn Sr. and Maria who has also went inside the water.
Sometime later, Lori notices the sisters looking bored.
"Hmmm. Maybe I could get them to have fun," Lori said to herself before she got an idea, "Wait a minute, that's it. Lincoln. I'll be right back," she then gets out of the pool and goes to the Water Toys shack on the deck. Later, she quietly walks up to Leni who was laying down, before she shoots water from a water gun onto her, which alerts her.
"Ahhhh! Lori! What was that for?" Leni said in surprise.
"Yeah? What was that water for?" Luna asked in surprise.
"I'm having some fun, girls! You all want to join in?" Lori asked happily as she hands them all some water guns, she even hands one to Lincoln as they all grin.
"So that's how you want to play?" Lynn said as they all stand up and start shooting water from the gun at Lori and Lincoln, and even Bobby.
"Now we're talking!" Lincoln shouted happily.
"Oh, it is on, girls!" Bobby shouted as happily as the Loud Family plus Bobby and Ronnie then chase one another as they all jump into the pool and continue shooting one another.
"You know something? You're all right! This is fun," Luan shouted happily.
"Yep! It is fun," Lynn commented as they all splash one another in their faces for a while. After some time, they all laugh after having some fun in the pool.
"Ooh, man. That was fun!" Ronnie Anne said.
"Hey, kids. How about we all get something to eat?" Lori asked.
"Sure, Mom. All that splashing has sure made us hungry," Lincoln responded.
Yeah, son. It sure has made our stomachs grumble," Bobby responded as they all get out of the pool and walk over to a snack shop next to the pool. Lincoln and his real parents, Bobby and Lori sit at a table with Ronnie Anne, Lily and Maria. The rest of the Loud Family sit at two different tables with Leni and Luna coming back holding baskets of pizza bites as they place them on their tables.
"Got us all something to eat," Leni said happily.
"Gee, thanks," Lincoln commented.
"Dig in, everyone," Luna finished as they all eat the large baskets of pizza bites, making sure they share.
"Mmm, mmm, mmm. This. Is. Good," Lori commented happily.
"You know, the guy up front said it was the most popular item on their menu," Luna commented as they all continue eating the pizza bites.
"Any questions you'd like to ask me and the kids?" Lori asked Leni.
"I have a question. Is there something different about you or is it something that you have that makes you better than a lot of us sisters?" Leni asked nervously.
"Well, it's because I'm actually Lincoln and Lily's mother. And that I'm always nice to him and Lily no matter what we all do wrong. Luna's also a nice sister to us as well," Lori explained.
"Yeah, and Luan may prank me too much, but at least she still cares about me," Lincoln replied.
"Hmmm, yeah. I do care," Luan commented.
"Well, what is it that makes me unlike you and them?" Leni asked.
"Leni, I can not believe you have not noticed this much. A lot of times, you were treating my kids like garbage," Lori explained, "Do you remember the time that Lincoln stumbled into your room with his handheld videogame?"
"The handheld videogame incident. I do remember it," Leni said nervously.
"Yeah, you kicked him out, and it really hurt him and made me angry," Lori said to Leni sternly, "Not to mention, when you apologized to both me and Lincoln, you didn't even sound like you cared. Not only that, you're always making fun of him when my kids and I both like something that you don't. Not to mention almost every day ever since they started placing you in charge at the age of thirteen, you have been placing dibs on EVERYTHING! Just because you're the second oldest sister, does NOT mean you're entitled to everything!"
"Oh, no. I cannot believe this. Am I like this with a lot of people?" Leni said nervously.
"Yeah, Lens. You're like this to almost anyone most of the time. And sometimes, you may even team up with the other sisters against her and the kids, like what happened when you fought Lincoln and his parents for the best seat in the car with that Sweet Spot incident that happened last week and ruining Lincoln and Lori's pool time back on Tuesday," Luna said concerned to Leni.
"Well, we were still able to work things out in the end," Leni said nervously.
"Yeah, but only on a rare occasion! Mom and I don't even know why you act kind of mean to a lot of people, especially to me and my sister Lily," Lincoln replied in concern.
"Yeah, that is kind of a problem," Leni said nervously at first, but soon became stern, "Well, so far, your son almost caused a break up between you and Bobby, you made a message on "WHY I WAS THE WORST SISTER EVER" because I broke his handheld game, you tried to keep Lily away from us because you're her mother as well, you both made us fight over a stupid spot in the car, you kicked us out of your own pool, and to top it off, you both often sleep in my room together!"
"Yeah. I know. Lincoln and I both did all of that just so we could try to keep the house perfect and try to set you all straight! But there's one thing that Lincoln and I both did! We apologized to you, all of you, and made it up to you guys for doing those horrible things! That is something that YOU sometimes do for ANY of us! Well, sometimes, think you can get off scot-free for all the stupid things you do, and my kids and I always make up for the stupid things that WE have done! But at least you apologize to us for what you do," Lori explained to Leni.
"Yeah, sis. You really need to think about what you've been doing," Luna replied.
Seeing glares from Luna and Lori, Leni sighs in defeat.
"Maybe you're right. I think I need some alone time right now to think about what I've done," Leni said sadly as she then gets up and sadly walks out of the snack shop with a now dejected look on her face. The family continues to eat, knowing that Leni must have done something bad to Lincoln.
"Boy, Leni has some making up to do," Lola commented.
Sometime later, they return to their hotel room, but they don't see Leni.
"Hey, Leni. Where did you go?" Lori said as she and Lincoln realize something.
"Wait, Mom. We have the keycard to the room," Lincoln said to Lori, "That means Leni couldn't have been able to get in."
They then enter the room and sit down, their swimsuits still on.
"Maybe we should put on some entertainment," Lori said as she turns on the TV as they stumble onto a show.
"Honey, is something wrong?" a woman on TV said.
"It's my older sister, she told my parents I stole money from them when really she was the one who stole it," a frustrated man on TV said, "She also made fun of my costume I made for the convention today."
"Probably reminds me of one of my sisters, Lincoln," Lori said as she realizes something.
"Is it always like this with your sister?" the woman on TV said.
"Most of the time, but even despite all that I still love her," the man on TV said, "Back in high school she gave me free food at the restaurant she was working at and she got me to really enjoy hanging out with her boyfriend Danny."
"So she can be nice?" The woman on TV asked.
"Well yeah of course, we may fight sometimes," the man on TV said, "But I always remember that she is family and that at the end of the day, the positives always outweigh the negatives, no matter how much the person makes you mad."
"Awww, that's so sweet, honey," the woman on TV responded as she kisses the man and Lori begins to feel bad, and Luna and Lincoln follow suit.
"Aw, man. Lincoln, Luna. I think we've been a little too hard on Leni," Lori said, "I mean, she may fight with us a lot, but I know she does love us. It almost feels like none of us really love her," she turns off the TV, "Girls, you stay here. I have to go find Leni. Luna and Lincoln are gonna have to come with us. Ronnie Anne, you and Bobby keep watch of Lily, please."
Lori, Luna and Lincoln then walk back down to the pool deck looking for Leni.
"Leni! Leni! Where are you?" Lincoln called.
"Leni, are you around here?" Lori called.
"Hey, I think we were at the snack shop" Luna responded.
"Good point," Lori remarked as they go to the snack shop and approach the man at the cashier, "Hey, uh, excuse me? Have you seen a tall girl wearing a light blue swimsuit? She has blonde hair but it's lighter than mine."
"Yeah, I think I know who your talking about, I last saw her she went inside somewhere in the bar," the cashier responded.
"BAR?!" Lori, Luna and Lincoln all screamed in shock.
"Oh, dear! This can't be good!" Lori said in fear as they rush inside and go into the bar, and they approach one of the waiters, "Excuse me! Have you seen a tall girl with light blonde hair?!"
"I think I know who your talking about, I think she went over to the other side of the hotel holding a large bottle of wine," the waiter explained.
"Are you serious?! She's 16! She's not old enough to be drinking! Come on, we gotta find her!" Lori said as they run off to find Leni. While finding her, Lori, Luna and Lincoln check the map to see where Leni could be. After a while of looking, they find a slurred Leni laying around the indoor Hot Tub with the bottle of wine next to her.
"He-hey, buddies! What's goooooing on with you?" Leni said in a slurred manner.
"Leni! You can't drink wine! You're not old enough yet!" Lori explained.
"Oh, come on, bro. Let's have some fuuuuuuun," Leni said in a drunk manner, "Forget about what's going on today. Try to guess who I am," she clears her throat, "STAGE DIVE!" she giggles, "Come on, that's you, Luna!"
"Leni! Snap out of it! That wine has made you crazy, dude!" Luna shouted as she shakes Leni by the shoulders.
"Yeeeeah, well, so what?" Leni said in a drunk manner, "I've literally been a bad person all day and now I want to do is be alone, sit in a hot tub, and try something different in life that isn't chatting with ol' Chas or worrying about my family. So I figure I'd try a liiiiitle bit of al-key-hol!" Leni grabs the bottle of wine and chugs some more out of it, but Lincoln tries to pull it away from her.
"Leni, you gotta stop! This isn't good for you at this age!" Lincoln explained but Leni then accidentally hits Lincoln with the bottle as he falls into the indoor pool.
"Lincoln!" Lori screams as she runs over to the indoor pool toward Lincoln.
"Lincoln, brother?" Leni said as she looks around, "I guess he left," she then yawns, "I need some sleeeeeeep!" Leni then closes her eyes as she slowly slides down into the water of the Hot Tub.
"Oh my god. This isn't good," Lori said to herself as Lincoln climbs out of the pool in some pain, "Lincoln. Are you all right?"
"Yeah, Mom. I'm fine," Lincoln said as he coughs, "Damn it, Leni. Why did she have to knock me backwards into the indoor pool?"
"Uh, Linc. I think we may have noticed something in the hot tub," Lori said as they walk over to the hot tub to find her. They notice something in the hot tub that looks like Leni, "Wait a minute, that looks like..."
Lincoln, Lori and Luna then scream at one another in fear, "LENI!"
Lincoln turns off the hot tub as he, Lori and Luna then work together with all their strength to pull an unconscious Leni out and put her on the ground.
"Leni! Mom, we need to get some hole!" Lincoln said in fear.
"LENI! Wake up! Lincoln, Luna, I think we should perform the CPR right away!" Lori said as they try performing CPR on Leni. Then, after Lincoln puts his lips on Leni to help her breathe, she spits out water all over Lincoln, Luna and Lori, as she coughs and rolls around.
"Ugh! I feel... bad!" Leni said as she covered her face up and fell back asleep as Lincoln, Lori and Luna run off to get some help. A couple of hours later, after getting some help, Leni wakes up still in her bathing suit but in one of the beds of the hotel room as she holds her forehead in some pain from the headache.
"Wha... am I at the hotel?" Leni said as she woke up.
"Leni!" Lori, Luna and Lincoln all said in happiness.
"Oh, thank goodness you're okay!" Luna said in happiness.
"Do you all know what happened to me? Why does my head hurt and why do I feel all wet and gross all of a sudden?" Leni asked quietly.
"Well, after we had our argument, you went to the bar to get some alcohol, and then you went back to the Hot Tub!" Lori explained.
"Yeah, and then they told us that you got drunk, and nearly drowned!" Lynn explained.
"Are you serious? No wonder I'm still in my bathing suit and my head hurts!" Leni said sadly.
"Yeah, and we had to try and wake you up," Lori explained.
"We even had to do it mouth to mouth!" Lincoln commented which left the family disgusted.
Leni then realized it, "You... you actually tried to wake me up?"
"Of course, we even went to get you help," Lori replied as Leni looks down and then sits down in between Lincoln, Lily and Lori and hugs them.
"T-thank you so m-much," Leni said happily to them.
"I'm just glad you were relieved that we all saved your life," Lincoln said happily to Leni.
Suddenly, something erupts in her stomach, causing Leni to cover her mouth, "Uh oh. Pardon my french, but I literally need to hit the toilet bowl right now," Leni said as she rushes into the bathroom and begins puking into the toilet, with the others hearing this from outside the bathroom.
"I knew this would happen to her," Lincoln commented.
"Man, she is just up the wall today," Lori commented.
"Boy, Leni really isn't having a good day," Rita commented.
"She must have gotten herself drunk earlier today," Lynn Sr. commented.
"Hey, uh, fellas, maybe at around 5:30, why don't we head downstairs for dinner at the nice restaurant on the first floor, you know... maybe do something fancy," Leni suggested before she puked a little more in the toilet.
"Sure, that would be nice," Lincoln commented.
"Fancy restaurants? Oh wow!" Lola shouted in happiness.
"Now I'm not really into fancy stuff, but fancy restaurants are an exception," Lana happily commented.
"Okay, just make sure you don't let me or my parents drink," Leni informed Lori.
"All right, we won't," Lori replied as she laughs slightly.
Later, at around 5:30 P.M., the whole family, alongside Maria, Bobby, and Ronnie Anne all walked into the fancy restaurant on the first floor wearing nice clothes, the waiter shows them to their tables as they finish taking their orders and wait for their food.
"So, after what happened today, do you really believe I am still the worst sister to you guys, just because I was pretty harsh on you all?" Leni asked.
"Leni, I know that Luna and I have said some things about you back at the snack shop," Lori replied, "But I think that we were all being too harsh on you."
"Yeah, We may always have fights, or get into arguments, but Mom and I will always remember that you're all our family," Lincoln said.
"And that at the end of the day the positives always outweigh the negatives, no matter how mean you are to us," Luna said.
"Oh wow. Thank you. I can't believe you all would actually say that after I got drunk and nearly drowned in a hot tub," Leni said, "I felt defeated after our fight and all I wanted to do was try something new in life. As in try something that would help me think more, after failing to try things out around the hotel, one of the lifeguards took me to the bar to get a drink. I literally thought trying my first drink would do something to help motivate me. But it turns out that I was completely dead wrong."
"You know, Leni? You may not always figure out what to do so quickly," Lynn replied.
"But we all know you will figure out what your dream job is and what defines you," Lincoln said to Leni.
"Lincoln seems to have a point. Drinking can't solve your problems, and they should know, because a similar thing happened with Luna one time," Maria informed Lincoln, "She was so excited to perform with her friends, that she often got carried away and drank alcohol."
"Hey, bro! Don't bring that up!" Luna said sternly.
"But to be fair, drinking can never solve problems you have," Lori said, "But don't worry Leni. Even though you haven't figured it out yet, you will figure out what kind of dream job can define who you are."
"We know you will, because we have faith in you, Leni," Lincoln replied,
"Gee, thanks again, everybody. I'm sorry I nearly ruined your three-day-long vacation at the hotel," Leni said sadly.
"Yeah, it doesn't matter. This is still the best weekends that Mom, Dad, Lily and I all ever had. Especially with you, Leni," Lincoln said as Leni hugs the four as the whole family enjoys the rest of their dinner. Afterwards, the families return to their separate hotel rooms. The family, now in their PJ's, just finished watching a movie together. Lincoln is asleep on Lori's tummy, and she was rubbing his head really softly. Leni notices and smiles.
"Thanks for everything, my beloved family," Leni said dreamily as Lori turns off the TV and carries her son Lincoln to their bed with Bobby, Lana, Luna and Leni. She climbs into bed with them as well and they all go to sleep.
Saturday, June 14, 1986
The following day, Lincoln, his mother Lori, father Bobby and sister Ronnie Anne walk out to the tennis court, wearing all white, as each hold a tennis racket and Lori holds the ball.
"So Lincoln, have you ever played tennis before?" Lori asked Lincoln.
"Uhh, not really," Lincoln responded.
"Well me neither. I haven't played a lot of sports but Lynn sure is an expert when it comes to sports," Lori replied.
"Yep, I'm sure it doesn't hurt that we all try this out," Bobby explained.
Lincoln grabs a tennis ball, and he serves the tennis ball, he hits the ball across the court as Lori, Bobby and Ronnie all hit it and the four continue to hit the ball with their rackets.
"You know, didn't Lynn ever teach you any sports, like, at all?" Lori asked.
Flashback to Lynn and Lincoln playing tennis.
"Hey Linc! Incoming!" Lynn shouted as she hits the ball with all her strength, but the ball hits Lincoln in the head, knocking him out.
"Uhh, little bro?" Lynn asked nervously.
"Lincoln, son? Are you all right?" Lori asked in fear.
End flashback.
"I do remember playing tennis a while back, but it didn't end well," Lincoln replied.
"Well maybe this time, it will be different," Lori explained.
"I really hope so," Ronnie Anne said as Lincoln hits the tennis ball with all his strength, but the ball hits Lori in the head, knocking her out. It cuts to Lincoln and Lori in their hotel room in their summer clothes with Lori heading an ice pack against her head.
"I guess it wasn't as different as I thought," Lincoln said dejectedly.
"I guess so, but maybe sports shouldn't be our thing we do today," Lori replied softly.
"Yeah, maybe we should try and keep ourselves chillin' today," Bobby said softly.
Later when the four arrive back on the deck, as they notice a Slurpee drinking contest is being held with Leni awaiting them.
"Alright folks, we have five slots open for anyone who wants to drink an ice cold Slurpee all the way to the bottom!" The announcer shouted out.
"Wanna try that out, everyone?" Lori asked.
"You know it!" Lincoln said happily.
"Count me in!" Bobby said happily.
"I'm up for it!" Ronnie Anne agreed.
"Poo-poo!" Lily agreed. as the five of them go to the stand where the Slurpee contest is held, as each of them are given a large Slurpee. Bobby's is green, Lori's is pink, Lincoln's is red, Ronnie Anne's is purple and Lily's is lavender.
"Wow, these colors match our shirts," Lincoln said.
"Oh yeah, they do!" Lori replied.
"Alright contestants! Whoever can drink the most of their Slurpees without passing out or quitting wins this fifty dollar coupon to Gus' Game and Grub!," the announcer said to Lincoln and his real family, "You all ready?"
"We're ready!" Bobby, Lori, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne all said in unison.
"Wiwy ready!" Lily said.
"On your mark, get set... ...Ready... ...GO!" the announcer shouted as Lincoln, Lily, Lori, Bobby and Ronnie begin drinking their Slurpee's, Lori and Bobby were leading as they both reach the halfway mark, Lincoln, Ronnie and Lily manage to catch up to them as the five relatives are head to head and have only a quarter of their Slurpee's left. Lori stops and falls over getting a brain freeze, Bobby, Ronnie Anne and Lily all follow suit. Lincoln manages to finish but he holds his head in some pain receiving a brain freeze. Later the family is at the snack bar as Lincoln is glad that he won the coupon.
"Wow. I can't believe it. I actually won the coupon," Lincoln said happily.
"Well, Good for you, Linky," Lori said as she holds her head, "Ugh! I think your father and I are still feeling that brain freeze."
"Yeah, I gotta slow down on drinking those ice cold slushies, dear," Bobby replied.
"Boy, that felt like quite a breeze in their head," Leni said when suddenly, she gets a phone call as she answers it, "Oh hi, Chazzy-wazzy bear! I'm so glad you called. Sorry I've been busy. My family and I are all at this amazing resort hotel and spa. And let me tell you. It is literally the best." suddenly, Lincoln, his parents, Bobby and Lori, and his sister Lily see that Leni is busy so they walk off. Meanwhile, an hour later while the girls are still residing in the hotel room, Leni finishes on the phone and notices Lincoln, Lily and their his parents swimming in the pool looking bored, "Oh, fellas. Was I on the phone for a while?"
"Yeah, you were," Lori replied.
"Oh, geez. I'm sorry. I really haven't talked to Chas in a while," Leni said dejectedly.
"Man, I just cannot believe you would spend more time on your cell phone than you would with your family," Lori explained.
"What, right now?" Leni asked in surprise.
"Yeah, you do it a lot at home. Everyday, you're on your phone for almost the entire day talking to Chas, and you do that instead of doing all the fun stuff you do with your family," Lori replied dejectedly as she sighs, "Now it feels like the same here too."
"You're right, I'm on vacation," Leni replied as she puts her phone away, "I guess I'm on my phone a lot of the time because it's one thing that I'm quite skilled at alongside aerobic dancing."
Oh, come on Leni. You're skilled at many things. Remember what Mom and I did here in the pool yesterday?" Lincoln explained before he and Lori splash water on her.
"Gah! Lincoln! I'm... actually kinda dressed to swim since I still have my bathing suit on!" Leni said now happily.
"Sorry, the kids and I were just trying to have some fun," Lori replied.
"Wait, you know what, you're right. I need to let loose of all my problems and have some fun!" Leni shouted happily as she takes off her brown shorts, leaving on her swimsuit and sandals and jumps in the pool and begins splashing Lincoln, Lily, Ronnie, Lori and Bobby.
"That's more like it!" Lincoln shouted happily.
"Oh, and while I'm at it..." Leni said happily before she makes a huge wave in the water using her arm as she splashes Lincoln, Lily and their parents and sends them almost to the other side of the pool.
"Whoa! That was awesome!" Lincoln shouted happily.
"Rock on, dudes!" Lori shouted happily.
"Really, thanks!" Leni said happily as they continue to play in the pool as time went by. Later, they were sitting at the snack bar each of them drinking juice out of a coconut, as the sun sets behind them, "I can't believe we all literally had a chicken fight with those two boys at the pool!"
"I know! We had a lot of fun today, Mom and Dad!"
"Me too!" Lori agreed.
"You can say that again, lad," Bobby replied.
"Goo..." Lily said happily.
The five notice groups of people by the deck as tropical music plays and they start to dance.
"Wow, what a catchy beat!" Lincoln replied as they started dancing.
"I could get used to this," Lori said happily.
"Oh, you wanna dance?" Leni asked.
"Uhh, we ARE dancing!" Bobby said nervously.
"Yeah, but with yourself, "Leni replied right before she grabs Lincoln's hand, "Come on," The five meet up with the groups of people on the deck, "NOW we can dance."
"B-But I've never danced like this bef..." Lincoln said nervously
"Lincoln, you and Lori literally need to quit being nervous and just enjoy the moment," Leni explained before she grabs Lincoln and Lori's hands to do the tango dance with them as they smile enjoying the dancing and everyone notices them enjoying it.
"This is nice," Lincoln happily commented.
"You know, we both learned how to dance with Bobby and Ronnie as part of a date one time," Lori explained to Leni.
"Yeah, hopefully I can show these moves off to Chas someday and see what he thinks of them," Leni suggested.
"Hopefully, I can too," Lincoln replied.
"What can I say? This is great," Ronnie Anne commented.
The five continue to dance. Later that evening, they returned back to their hotel room, still wearing their summer clothes, smiling from having such a fun day.
"Wow. I can't believe how good I am at dancing with you all!" Leni said happily.
"I know! I didn't think I would dance so well," Lincoln replied.
"Yeah, I was a bit nervous there," Lori commented.
"Sometimes you just have to leave everything up to chance," Leni said as she hugs Lincoln and Lori as she sits down on the couch with Luna, Lucy, Lana and Lola, takes her sandals off, and stretches her body.
"Boy, I'm pretty tired after all we did today," Leni commented.
"Me, too. It seems like we got plenty of time to spend until we all leave for home Monday morning," Lori said happily.
"Yeah, at least we made the most of it, Mom," Lincoln replied.
"We did, "Lori picks up one of her yellow sandals off her right foot and pretends it's a brush on her hair, "Ahhh. I brush my hair exactly 50 times a night to keep it looking beautiful the next day."
"That's what Leni used to be before she became addicted to phones," Lincoln responded.
"Yep, that's what she once was before she turned into a sort of a bossy girl," Lori commented.
"Well, The days that it rain, are my favorite kind of days. The sun makes my friends go away," Luan said dejectedly as she sighs deeply while Bobby laughs.
"You got it, Luce! Now let's go downstairs so we can jam to the rockin' beat!"
"Hey, guys! watch this!" Lynn said as she uses one of her hi-tops and pretends it's a wooden dummy, "Gee, Mr. Coconuts. I liked the joke, but your delivery seemed a little wooden!"
"That's Luan!" Lincoln said as they all laugh from doing impersonations of one another.
"Remember when we all had fun with one another like this when we were younger?" Leni asked them.
"I remember, we all used to do it all the time!" Lincoln replied.
"I guess when you get older you lose focus on spending time with those you love and instead focus on yourself," Leni responded.
"Yeah," he replied as he looks down.
"Well, do you ever worry you'll turn out like me and treat my younger sisters badly?" Leni asked in concern.
"Sometimes. Because the truth is, Mom, Lily and I all sometimes get attached to what I like to do, too," Lincoln said.
"I think for me that first happened when I got my first phone when I was around twelve years old and started to develop a feeling for Chas," Leni said to them.
"Oh, dear. What if we turn out the same?" Lori said with worry.
"I hope it doesn't. After this weekend, I think you'll turn out better than me when I was around your adopted son's age," Leni explained.
"Why's that?" Lori asked.
Leni then explained to Lori, "Because, even when Lincoln came into the world, I was kind of reluctant to play with you guys. It wasn't until Luna helped me play with you that I grew attached. Even though Lincoln is almost a teenager, you both still enjoy hanging out and helping not only your loved ones but your younger ones. Even Luna, Luan, and Lynn would still play with you and the kids and everyone else in the house, and they are literally teenagers. But unfortunately, I lost focus on being with my family and they didn't, and I think you'll turn out like them instead of... me."
Once Leni finished, she looked down and they began to feel sorry for her and then they walked up to her, and sat next to her.
"Leni, look. Everything you say is true, but there's one thing you can do. You can change. Look at this weekend we had, my kids and I and Bobby don't think we've ever had this much fun with you in a long time. And you know something? We all thought it was totally worth it. And even though sisters like Luna and Luna still play with us, they never played with us as much as they did when we were younger," Lori explained.
"Yeah, the point is Leni, people change over time, including myself," Maria explained to Leni, "I'll never know how Lincoln will behave when become the same age as his real mother, Lori, but they will always love everyone, including you.
"Yeah, and after this whole weekend we have, Mom and I only hope that we can all have a closer relationship together, because... It's something that Mom and I sure missed doing," Lincoln replied.
"It's something we missed as well," Leni said as she hugs them tightly.
"Yeah, it is indeed," Lori said softly to her kids before her phone rings and she picks up and answers, "Hello?"
"Hi, Lori. Have you seen the Loud sisters anywhere recently?" Aunt Ruth asked on the phone.
"Um, yes. They're actually with me here at the Royal Woods Resort Spa & Hotel," Lori explained to the phone.
"That's quite interesting. How did they get here anyway?" Aunt Ruth asked on the phone.
"Well, it happened overnight back on Thursday night. Apparently, the girls came here looking for me and my kids," Lori said on the phone..
"Ahhhh. So is that why they decided to break free from my kitty-infested house?" Aunt Ruth said on the phone in surprise.
"Yes. They all broke out back on Thursday night because they missed us a lot, and Luna led them out of to find us," Lori said to the phone.
"Really? Your sisters did all of that during the middle of the night to find you?" Aunt Ruth asked on the phone.
"Yes, and after they escaped, they all went back home and got their luggage packed and then they took a night bus to the Royal Woods Spa, and then after arriving here, they arrived at my hotel room. And that was when I realized that they were missing us while we were all away here at the hotel and spa," Lori said to the phone.
"Ahhh. Luna must have been homesick for you," Aunt Ruth commented on the phone.
"Yeah, and when we found out that Luna was missing me and the kids very much during the vacation, I decided to let them stay with us for the rest of the vacation," Lori said to the phone.
"Awww. That's very sweet, Lori. You know, I'm glad you decided to invite them here at the spa because they were missing you and Lincoln. You're actually a very good parenting sister of mine. Now, don't you worry. I'll be coming by tomorrow when you're having dinner down at the fancy restaurant there. I'll be there at around 5:30. Until then, take care," Aunt Ruth finished as she hangs up, and Lori puts her phone away.
"Hey, Mom. Who was that?" Lincoln asked her.
"Oh, uh, it was Aunt Ruth. She's actually proud of what we did. And she also said that she'll be coming to this resort tomorrow for dinner," Lori explained softly but the family gasps.
"Ruth's coming here for dinner tomorrow?" Lola and Lola asked in surprise.
"Yep," Lori responded passively.
"Well, that's quite nice," Rita commented.
"Well, let's get inside and prepare for tomorrow," Lori replied as they all went inside and back up to their hotel room. They changed out of their swimsuits and got themselves some quick showers.
After they got their quick showers, they dried up and stepped into their pajamas. Afterwards, they all brushed their teeth and hair before they all got into bed together for the night, knowing that tomorrow is going to be a great day.
"Hey, Lincoln. Lori. Thanks for letting me sleep with you in this hotel room," Leni commented.
"Yeah, it sure is warm in here like a tropical breeze," Luna commented.
"Yeah, Mom and I know how we were sleeping when we were all younger," Lincoln explained before they all cuddle up in the bed with Bobby, Lily and Ronnie Anne
Lori kisses Lincoln on the forehead and spoke softly to him, "Goodnight, Lincoln. Goodnight, Lily. Love you, kids."
"Love you, mom," Lincoln said as he fell asleep.
"Love you, Mommy," Lori said as she also fell asleep and they all sleep in the two beds together for the night.
Sunday, June 15, 1986
It was their last full day at the hotel together, starting off with the family having some nice chicken and waffles for breakfast.
"Well, fellas. This is our last full day at the hotel together. Anyone have any idea what we'll do?" Lori asked them.
"We do know that Aunt Ruth is coming's here for dinner tonight at 5:30," Rita informed Lori.
"Sounds good, mother," Lori then asked them, "So any suggestions, girls?"
"Hmmm. I was thinking we'd check out the gym here since we haven't saw it yet?" Lana suggested.
"Yeah, I'd like to give the exercise bike a try," Lynn commented happily.
"And I'll probably show off some more of my aerobic dancing moves," Leni replied happily.
"And I'll give myself a little run on the treadmill," Lincoln replied.
Once they finished having their breakfast, the family changed into their new workout outfits and some even wearing legwarmers, were at the hotel's gym. The gym showed some exercise bikes, treadmills, work benches and weights.
"Wow. This gym doesn't seem too bad," Lincoln said.
"Come on, fellas. I'm sure you'll all get used to it," Lori explained.
"Is everyone ready for a workout?" Leni asked and they all cheer in response.
They all then went to their work stations. Rita, Maria, Lynn Sr. were on the exercise bikes, Luan and Lana were lifting weights, Bobby, Ronnie Anne, Lucy, Lola and Lisa were running on the treadmills, and Lori, Leni, Lynn and Lincoln were working out those aerobic dancing moves. Luna was sitting on a bench taking care of Lily and listening to some 80's workout-themed music.
"Come on, fellas! We need to loosen up those ancient joints!" Leni said cheerfully.
"Yeah. Yeah. Rocking it out here," Lincoln shouted.
"Yeah! We're all feelin' the burn!" Lori said cheerfully.
"Get with the basics, girls! And one and two and..." Leni said cheerfully when something suddenly cracks inside Lori.
"Agh! Ow! Gah!" Lori said in pain.
"Hey, Lori, you okay?" Leni asked with concern.
"Yeah, sounded like you broke your leg," Lynn commented.
"Agh! No, that was my spine, workout sister," Lori said painfully.
"Come on, Mom. Keep up with us and stick with the basics!" Lincoln said bravely.
"Thanks, Lincoln. Let's get with the groove!" Lori said happily as she gets back to the working out with them.
"Yeah! Work that body out, fellas! Move that muscle!" Leni shouted happily.
And for a few hours, the family continued with the workouts, often switching between stations of aerobic dancing, running on treadmills, riding on exercise bikes and lifting weights. Later around 12:50 P.M., after a long while of working out, they went back to their hotel room, some were exhausted from the long workout hours.
"Oh, my. I'm pretty exhausted for all this working out," Leni commented.
"Are you kidding? It got me pumped!" Lana happily commented.
"What else can I say? These weights were just what I needed," Lynn said happily, "We sure could use some lunch right now."
"Wow. Mom and I are actually getting kind of stronger," Lincoln commented.
"Yeah, and my aerobic dancing literally shows a perfect example for working out everyday whenever we have a chance," Leni explained.
"Maybe we'll grab us some lunch down at the first floor," Lori suggested.
"Yeah. Sure. I'm starving. Literally," they all replied before they all got themselves some lunch. This time, they got pizza for lunch.
While they were having the pizza lunch, the family was overjoyed by the taste of it.
"Oh, dear god! These are delicious!" Rita said happily.
"Oh, boy. I have no idea why they make these so good!" Lynn Sr. said happily.
"Yeah! This party will never stop!" Leni said happily.
"I may not good at serving meals, Lori. But this pizza for lunch are perfect for today!" Lana said happily.
"Yeah, this is quite a great meal for a hot day like this!" Lola said happily.
Luna then asked them, "You know, how about we head on back to the pool for the rest of the afternoon?"
"Yeah, that'll help us chill for another the rest of this summer day," Lori responded.
After they had their lunch, they all went back to their hotel rooms and changed out of their workout clothes and into their swimsuits, applied sunscreen on their skin and grabbed their pool items with them and went down to the pool. This time, everyone was in the pool, some were lounging, other were making splashes and playing with pool items.
"It sure feels like a great Sunday at the spa. But of course, it's our last full day here at the spa unfortunately, because we're all gonna be leaving tomorrow morning. So we'll do whatever we can to make this last full day great," Lori said to the viewers.
"Hey, Mom, wanna swim together?" Lincoln asked.
"Of course, kid," Lori said before they both then swim together around the pool and began to dance around in the pool as well, which kind of sets up a nice instrumental music number for a while as the entire family in the pool again continued having fun.
"Hey, guys? Wanna make some splashes?" Lori asked.
"Oh, it's on, Lori," Leni said happily.
"You said it, sis," Luna said happily as they started splashing one another for a while and even Lynn joins in.
"Now this I really like!" Lynn shouted happily.
"I've done this before! But I can't stop doing it when I'm in the pool!" Leni said happily as she makes a huge wave in the water using her arm as she splashes several of her relatives and sends them almost to the other side of the pool. Of course, it also splashes onto Lynn Sr., Rita and Maria.
"Whoa! That was awesome again!" Lincoln shouted happily.
"Rock on, dudes!" Lori shouted happily.
"Leni!" Rita screamed.
"Leni! That was soaking great!" Maria commented.
"Yeah! I just can't stop having fun at all!" Leni said happily.
"Hey, Lola! Check this out!" Lana called.
"What?" Lola asked before Lana squirts her with water with a pool noodle, "Oh, you're gonna get it!" she then pulls out two water guns and squirts everyone with them, Lisa pulls out a super soaker and squirts Lincoln, Lori, Leni and Bobby with it, they all laugh.
"Bring it on, fellas," Lori said happily.
"Oh, it's on," Bobby replied.
"Yeah! Count me in!" Leni shouted happily as the others brought out their super soaker water guns and started squirting one another with water guns. The older ones and the parents even decided to join in on the fight. After a while, they were all overjoyed by them having fun in the pool.
"Best splash fight, ever!"
"Oh, yeah," Lori said happily as they high five one another.
"Boy, I'm aching, Mom. Why don't we go to the spa?" Lincoln suggested.
"Me too, Lincoln. We can totally hit the sauna," Lori agreed.
"Yeah, this is really such a big luxury here," Bobby replied.
At the spa, Lincoln and family are in the sauna, wearing towels, Lincoln blushes, but he, Lily and Lori are all happy everyone is here with them.
"Yeah, nothing better than spending time in the sauna," Lincoln replied.
"Mm-hmmm. It sure is comfy," Lori said relaxingly.
About an hour later, the family is in a Jacuzzi, relaxed. Lincoln put his arms around Lori and Bobby and Lily was sitting in Luna's lap.
"Ah, this Jacuzzi is relaxing, good for the skin," Lincoln said relaxingly.
"Yep, it's very good for the skin," Lori said relaxingly.
"You sure both said it," Bobby agreed relaxingly.
"This vacation just couldn't get any better," Lola said relaxingly.
"What better time than now?" Ronnie Anne asked relaxingly.
"Yep. It's actually very nice and calm," Leni said relaxingly.
"Bubbles," Lana said relaxingly as she giggles.
"I may have a heart, but it's not burning," Lucy said relaxingly.
"Such a hunk of burning jacuzzi love," Rita said relaxingly.
"Something we all need once in a while," Lynn Sr. said relaxingly.
"Wubbly," Lily said relaxingly as she was sit
"In a container of water that is over 104 degrees, it does seem perfect for a nice last day at the resort," Lisa said relaxingly.
"Yeah. It's just what we all need," Maria said relaxingly as they all sigh, and they are all relaxed.
Around 5:00, they dried up from the jacuzzi and went back to their hotel rooms and changed into their formal attire.
"All right, fellas. Let's get it all set and ready because we've got us a big dinner with Aunt Ruth at the first floor tonight.
"Yeah, I need to make sure none of us older siblings drink," Leni added.
"Yeah, who knows if one of us sisters gets drunk during dinner?" Luna said in fear.
"It's gonna be a great dinner with your great aunt, Mom," Lincoln replied.
"I know it will be, hon," Lori said softly as she kissed Lincoln in the forehead.
"Let's head on down to the first floor and get ourselves ready for the dinner," Bobby replied.
After they all changed into their formal attire, they all took the elevator down to the first floor where the fancy restaurant was. While they were at the fancy restaurant, Aunt Ruth arrived at the hotel for a fancy dinner as she headed on over to the front counter.
"Welcome to the Royal Woods Resort and Spa. How may I help you?" Jared Morgan asked.
"Hello, Morgan. I'm just coming here for a little fancy dinner with my family," Aunt Ruth replied.
"Oh, um, okay. They're right at the fancy restaurant here on the first floor," Jared Morgan explained.
"Okay, thank you," Aunt Ruth thanked as she heads over to the fancy restaurant where the others were.
"Hi, Aunt Ruth. Glad you came here just in time," Lori greeted Ruth.
"Hey, Ruthie. It's so nice of you to come here for dinner," Rita welcomed her.
"I figured I'd do something great outside my home once in a while," Aunt Ruth replied.
"Well, that's good of you," Lori said happily as she hugs Aunt Ruth.
"Well, I'm glad you all agreed," Aunt Ruth replied before a waitress came to them.
"All right, everybody. So there's seventeen of you here tonight?" the waitress asked.
"Uh-huh./Yeah./Yep./Yeah." They all said in unison.
"Come on, then. We have three separate tables ready for you," the waitress said happily as she shows the seventeen relatives to the three separate tables, with Aunt Ruth sitting with the younger sisters. Later, after they finish taking their orders, they are now waiting for their food.
"So, fellas. How was your weekend being with your parents again?" Aunt Ruth asked.
Lori then explained, "It's great, actually. We did lots of great things while we were here. We went for a swim in the pool, went to the gym, checked out the spa, and relaxed in the hot tub."
"Wow. That's amazing," Aunt Ruth commented.
"And we also learned something important while we're here. And it is that drinking can never solve problems you have. And we learned that when Lori, Luna and Lincoln saw Leni drinking and saved her," Lucy explained.
"Why, that's really good info there," Aunt Ruth commented.
"Hey, Aunt Ruthie. How are you doing?" Lori asked.
"I'm doing great. Our dinner's gonna come here momentarily by the way so get your silverwear ready," Aunt Ruth responded.
"All right. Well, this was the best weekend we've ever had altogether," Lori replied and Aunt Ruth humbly agrees as their dinner arrives on their respected tables.
"Your dinner is here. Enjoy," the waitress said happily.
After the waiter exits the scene, the seventeen relatives enjoy their dinner for a while. After they had their dinner, they were about to head to their hotel room when Aunt Ruth prepares to leave the hotel and head back home.
"Hey, Lori. Thanks for inviting me to your dinner here," Aunt Ruth thanked.
"No problem, Ruthie. Be careful on the way home," Lori said gracefully.
"Awww, gee thanks Lori," Aunt Ruth replied as she exits the hotel and takes a taxi back home.
"Bye, Ruth./Take care./Be careful./We love you," Everyone waved at Aunt Ruth as she left.
"Well, that sure was a great final day here at the hotel together. Why don't we all get ourselves packed up so we can be all ready to go home tomorrow morning?" Lori suggested.
"Yeah, I could use another beauty sleep," Leni explained.
"Leni?!" Lola was shocked by what Leni said.
"What. I'm just expressing here," Leni explained to Lola.
They all went back up to their hotel room, most of the family got themselves washed up and dried, and afterwards, they changed into their pajamas and got their things packed all their things into their suitcases so they can be ready to leave tomorrow morning.
"Boy, it's sad that we have to leave this beautiful room tomorrow morning," Luna said sadly.
"Yeah, we're pretty tired after all the fun we did this past weekend. It's too bad that we have to leave tomorrow morning," Leni said dejectedly.
"Yeah, that is a bummer, but at least we all made the most of it together," Lincoln replied.
"Yeah. Lincoln, Bobby. How about we go for a swim together under the moonlight?" Lori asked them.
"Yeah. That sounds great," Bobby responded happily.
"Well, let's get ready for a little night swim," Lori said.
Later that night, while the others went to bed, Lori, Bobby and Lincoln changed into their swimsuits and went out for a little nighttime swim in the pool.
"Ahhh. Nothing like a little swim under the moon to finish off the vacation," Lori said to herself.
"Yep, Mom. Just you, me and Daddy," Lincoln said as they got into the pool and started relaxing under the nice blue moon.
"No one at the pool during the night. It must be the perfect night for a swim," Bobby said softly, "The skies are clear, the moon is full. It's perfect."
"Mm-hmm, it must be our first time swimming in the moonlight in a while," Lori agreed.
"Yeah. It sure is. So, Mom. Where where do you want me to swim to right now?" Lincoln asked his mother Lori.
"I dunno, hon. Just try to swim from one end and then come back to me, for just one lap," Lori answered sweetly.
"Okay, here I go," Lincoln said as he begins to swim to the end of the pool, then he swam back to Lori who is now opening her arms to grab Lincoln, as Lincoln swam back to his mother Lori, she picked him up in a very proud look on her face.
"Wow, Linc. You're really good at this. It looks like you are growing up after all," Lori said as she puts Lincoln down and rubs his head.
"Looks like Lincoln sure is growing," Bobby said.
"Would you like to dance with us while we're in the pool tonight, kiddo?" Lori asked Lincoln.
"Yeah, Mom! We love to," Lincoln said in a very quiet polite manner.
With that, a music montage of Lori, Bobby and Lincoln dancing together in the pool under the moon begins, they all got to the deep end, and floated, then they begin to dive until the pool turned into an ocean, they were all swimming and dancing they both continued to swim by a pod of dolphins, then they sat on a whale and surfaced, then they got in the water back into the pose they were before, only to swim back up to the surface at the shallow in, then they danced until the music montage ends, until quite recently, Lincoln then yawns and his parents see that he is about to fall asleep.
"Oh, Lincoln. You must be getting tired," Lori said.
"Yeah, it was a long day," Lincoln said drowsily.
"More like a weekend of nothing but luxury," Bobby replied.
"Yeah, let's get washed up and ready for bed," Lori said softly to Lincoln as they get out of the pool and get dried up, before they went to the bathroom to get themselves a quick shower. After they got their quick shower, they dried up and then stepped into their pajamas and began to get into bed with the others with their luggage already packed for when they leave in the morning.
"Hey, bros. How was your nighttime swim in the pool?" Luna asked drowsily.
"It was great, actually," Lori responded drowsily.
"Yeah, we all went for a swim under the blue moon," Bobby said drowsily.
"Yeah, we sure had a fun time," Lincoln replied before Lynn Sr. and Rita then come into the room with their luggage in hand.
"Hey, Lori, Linc. Can we both ask you a favor?" Rita asked them.
"Sure, what is it?" Lori asked.
"Hey, can we sleep with you all tonight. It would be nice," Lynn Sr. asked.
"Yeah, we would like that very much," Lincoln responded.
"Really?" Rita asked.
"Yeah," Lori responded.
"Why, thank you,' Rita said as she and Lynn Sr. then get into bed with the others as they all cuddled up in the two beds together. Rita then kisses Lincoln, Lily and Lori on their foreheads, "We love you, fellas," they all smile as Rita and Lynn Sr. snuggle with the younger sisters, Ronnie Anne and Maria.
"We love you, too, Mama," Lori said as they all sleep together for the night as they are already prepared to leave for home tomorrow morning.
Monday, June 16, 1986
That morning when Lincoln, and his big family all walk into the hotel lobby with their suitcases.
"It's sad that we have to leave this beautiful hotel," Lucy said depressingly.
"I know, Luce. But we think it was all worth it," Rita replied to Lucy.
"But, we had an awesome time with Lincoln," Lana said happily.
"Yeah, I guess we all did," Leni said happily as they approach Jared Morgan at the front desk.
"Here are the keycards," Lori said as she gave Morgan the keycards to their rooms.
"Excellent, did you all enjoy your stay?" Jared Morgan said happily.
"We sure did! But," Lincoln said as he looks up at his mother Lori, "it wouldn't have been as fun if my sisters weren't with us."
"Awwww..." the sisters said sweetly.
"Well, you all seem quite close, hope you make it home safe and you're always welcome to return anytime," Jared Morgan said happily.
"Thank you," Lori said happily.
"Hey, thanks for letting us stay," Lynn Sr. said as they all walk out to the parkway where they put all their luggage in their vehicles.
"Oh, and uh, mother? I think Lincoln and I should say something before we head off," Lori said.
"What, guys?" Rita asked.
"When we all explain to your father about our time at the spa, we'll try not to mention how Leni got drunk and nearly drowned," Lincoln said.
"Yeah, please don't," Leni said nervously, "I really don't want to get in trouble for it."
"Come on, everybody. Let's go home," Lori said as they all got inside their vehicles after putting all their luggage in and drive out of the parkway and onto the road back home.
"Ahhh. It was such a fun weekend. We all went swimming, we danced, played tennis, did some workouts at the gym, chilled down at the spa and Lincoln won a Slurpee contest against us," Lori said to the viewers, "Well, we still have a lot of the summer left so we still have plenty of fun to do before school starts back after Labor Day."
With that, the two families then spend the rest of the trip talking with one another as they make their way back home from their weekend away at the resort spa and hotel.
