It was Wednesday, July 16, 1986 in the Loud House. The family was getting ready for their parents' anniversary as Lori was preparing to help Lincoln and Ronnie Anne out on the gift.
"Tomorrow is the Mom and Dad's anniversary. And I bet the others sisters of mine are all making great gifts. I wonder what my kids are making for them this year," Lori explained before she comes into the Loud kitchen where Lincoln and Ronnie Anne are making something, "Hey, kids, how's the gift coming along, what are you both making?"
"Well, Mom, the key to the perfect anniversary present for the parents is simple: know your audience," Lincoln explained.
"Yeah, and since our folks love what we bring to the table, my brother here makes them the same thing every year: this awesome coffee mug!" Ronnie Anne explained as Lincoln raises a "coffee mug" which doesn't look complete.
"Oooooh. Wow, Lincoln. That's a nice use of clay. I'm sure my parents are gonna love it," Lori said happily but...
"Coffee mug? I thought it was a paperweight," Leni replied, mocking the present.
"Paperweight? That thing is definitely a pencil holder," Lynn commented.
"Negatory. Clearly it's a bust of German philosopher Immanuel Kant," Lisa commented.
"I Kant even tell what it is!" Luan replied with her gag glasses as she laughs as all the other sisters walk in the scene to their sister and her children.
"Come on, you guys, My kids just said it was a coffee mug," Lori confessed.
"Clearly no one can figure out what that thing is. No wonder Mom and Dad just throw all your old gifts in the attic," But the girls gasp at what Lola just said and Leni shuts her up.
"WHAT?!" Lincoln shouted.
"Are you serious, Lola?!" Lori complained.
Meanwhile, up in the attic, Lori, Ronnie Anne and Lincoln are looking around for evidence of what Lola just said.
"Lola must've been messing around with us, Mom," Ronnie Anne replied.
"Yeah, they love our paperweights," Lincoln added.
"They're coffee mugs, kids," Lori corrected before they notice a box, "What's this? "DO NOT OPEN!""
"Well, only one way to find out," Ronnie Anne said to them.
With that, the three open the box and find that Lola was telling the truth and gasp.
"It's true... They do hate our gifts!" Lincoln said as he was about to cry and Lori and Ronnie Anne both felt sorry for Lincoln and pat him on the back.
"Don't worry Lincoln, I'm sure they don't hate our gifts they just get so much, they don't want things to get cluttered," Lori said softly as she hugs Lincoln and Ronnie Anne pats Lincoln on the back while Luna and Lucy are looking at the mug Lincoln and Ronnie Anne both worked so hard on.
"If you turn your head to the side and squint, it almost looks like Aunt Shirley," Luna replied as an image of Aunt Shirley shows up and a scream of horror is heard upon her appearance.
"Or an inflamed liver," Lucy commented.
"When they're this pathetic, it takes all the joy out of making fun of them," Leni replied sadly.
"WE CAN HEAR YOU!" Lori, Ronnie Anne and Lincoln all shouted.
"WE KNOW!" The sisters replied but Lori, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne all facepalm in anger.
"Man, that wasn't very nice," Lori said to herself angrily.
"I agree, Mom!" Ronnie Anne agreed, "Those sisters are a bunch of savages. Especially your abusive, selfish and childish parents!"
"Mom, what are we gonna do? The parents' anniversary is tomorrow," Lincoln panicked.
"Well, maybe you should try something new, Lincoln. I know, since I'm your mother, I wouldn't mind a little variety from time to time," Lori explained to Lincoln.
"Hmmm, maybe you're right, Mom," Lincoln replied as he sits down on a box that causes a flash to occur. They then examine it and find Dad's old camera that dates back to the late 1960's and finds out there's still some film in it, "Wait a minute. Mom, I think an idea's developing!"
"Wow! For real?" Lori said in surprise.
"Really?!" Ronnie Anne said in surprise.
"Yeah, we should do a family portrait," Lincoln replied happily but walks backwards and suddenly falls down the stairs.
"Lincoln, Lincoln, honey, are you OK?" Lori asked in fear as she and Ronnie Anne both went downstairs and helped Lincoln up.
"Yeah, I'm fine, Mom. I'm fine," Lincoln replied.
"What's going on here?" Luna asked.
"Everyone! My kids and I have figured out the perfect present for Mom and Dad!" Lori explained as she holds up the camera that she and her kids have found, "It looks like we're going to be taking a photo."
"You're giving them Dad's old camera?" Lana confessed.
"Wow, Lori. You are cheap," Lola complained.
"No, we want to take a picture of all of us, with Dad's old camera," Lori explained.
"Yeah! Don't you all remember that people make family portraits?!" Bobby confessed.
"Why use that old thing when you can just use your own new camera?" Leni commented as she holds up her new camera.
"Leni, anyone can use a camera of their own," Lori replied
"Yeah, that would be like painting the Mona Lisa with a crayon!" Lincoln commented.
"Wow. This may be the year you don't fail miserably and crush Mom and Dad's souls," Leni said eagerly.
"Thank you for the vote of confidence. All right everyone, to the backyard!" Lincoln called and the entire family heads on out to the backyard.
Once everyone got there, Lincoln is focusing the camera to make sure the whole family, including Lori, Bobby and Ronnie Anne stay perfectly in the frame.
"Okay, that's it. Dad, scooch to the left," Lincoln said as Bobby moves to his right which is Lincoln's left, "Dad, your other left," Bobby gets it right, "Perfect! All right! Someone grab Lily now."
"Don't worry, brother! I got this!" Ronnie Anne said as she grabbed Lily and puts her back in the frame.
"Wow, I can't believe that Ronnie and I get to be in this picture," Bobby said happily.
"Yeah, it's like we're part of the family," Ronnie Anne said happily.
"You know, honey. It turns out that you and Ronnie Anne are both part of my family," Lori agreed.
"Not biologically of course, since our mother didn't give birth to you. But figuratively, yes, you are like a brother to us," Lisa commented.
"Yeah, dude. You're our rockin' bro," Luna replied and the other sisters agreed.
"Well, you're the son of me and Lori, Lincoln," Bobby replied softly.
"That's right, Lincoln. You're our beloved son of me and Bobby," Lori said softly.
"That's exactly what I want to hear.. Just gotta set the timer, and..." Lincoln sets it and joins the others in the shot, "Done. Now, here we go. Everybody smile! Look cheerful.
Everyone started holding big smiles, but the camera still hasn't gone off.
"When is it gonna flash? My jaw's cramping up!" Lynn said as she held her smile.
"Come on, guys! Give it a second!" Lincoln said as he held his smile.
"Any minute now!" Lori said as she held her smile.
"This one's for our son, Lori," Bobby said as he held his smile.
"Yep," Lori said as she held her smile.
"Yeah, it's for my brother," Ronnie Anne said as she held her smile.
"Yeah, I knew he'd blow it," Leni said, giving up and gets out her camera, "I think I should go ahead and do a selfie instead."
"No way! Keep smiling, Leni!" Bobby complained.
"No, wait!" Lori shouted as Leni takes a selfie with her and Lincoln getting caught by the flash and feeling dazed from it.
"I know just what this picture needs," Luan puts on her gag glasses and laughs.
"Come on, Luan. You can't wear those in the photo." Ronnie Anne said in anger.
"Oh, don't be such a Groucho," Luan laughs and squeaks a squeaky cigar before Luna got her electric guitar out.
"What this photo needs are some tunes," Luna replied.
"Luna, no!" Lori screamed, "Photographs don't have..." but Luna plays a loud chord and blows Lori, Lincoln and Ronnie Anne away, "...SOUND!"
"You're ruining the picture! Maybe you should take off that gross hat," Lola complained.
"Maybe you should take off that gross face!" Lana screamed as she throws mud at her but Lola ducks and the mud hits Lincoln instead.
"Lola! Lana! Don't fight!" Lori shouted as she tries to make them stop fighting while Lincoln and Ronnie Anne are chasing after their half-naked Lily.
"Lily! Where is your diaper!" Lincoln screamed.
The photo shoot goes out of control with the girls and pets being themselves.
"GUYS, PLEASE! CAN WE ALL JUST SETTLE DOWN?!" Lori shouted in anger.
The camera takes the picture. Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and their parents were now looking at the photo that was taken with worry.
"Well, that didn't go as planned," Lori commented with worry.
"Definitely didn't," Ronnie Anne said in worry.
"Look at us. We're like a vision of insanity," Lincoln said in fear.
"Yeah. I can't give this to Mom and Dad," Lori said in fear as she holds up the coffee mug.
"Yeah, I can't either. That's worse than Aunt Shirley here, which is actually a coffee mug," Lincoln replied, "I got to give them a better picture."
"Wait a minute. Lincoln, the perfect picture!" Lori got an idea, "Yes! That's it!"
"Come on, fellas! Time for a do-over," Ronnie Anne commanded.
"That's a good idea, but I don't think my sisters will want that, but I think we would," Lori explained.
"We have to try, Mom. Now, come on! We need to get the twins first," Lincoln exclaimed as he and Lori went to get the twins.
In Lola and Lana's room, Lola has worked on her face.
"Mirror, mirror in my hand. Who's the prettiest in the land?" Lola asked softly before Lana emerges from their closet covered in mud.
"Not you, once Mudzilla gets a hold of you!" Lana roars and Lola reviles in horror.
Until suddenly, Lincoln sprays Lana with the hose.
"Hey! You washed off my mud!" Lana complained.
"Ha ha! You got spray..." but Lori sprays Lola, "Hey! You washed off my makeup!" Lola complained.
"Good news, guys! We're taking another family photo!" Lori explained.
"But we already did one!" the twins whined.
"Well, we're doing another one! And we're not stopping until we get the right one!" Lori said to the twins, "Now let's go, girls!"
With that, she and Lincoln tie them up with the hose and drag them back into the backyard, where Ronnie Anne and her father Bobby already were.
"Stay right here. And no more mud or makeup," Lincoln replied and the twins pout, "And try to get along this time! Thank you for understanding!"
With Lori, she was talking to her daughter Lily, "Look. I'm all about self-expression, but this new picture needs to be perfect, so Mommy's gonna need you to keep your diaper on."
"Mommy?" Lily said nervously to Lori.
"Thanks for understanding," Lori replied as she puts Lily's diaper on but Lily then takes it off and throws it at her.
"Poo-poo," Lily babbled as she toddles around.
"No, Lily, no. The diaper stays on you," Lori explained as she puts the diaper back on Lily, but she takes off and throws it at her again.
"Let's just put a pin in this for now, Mom..." Lincoln replied.
"Yeah, Mom, it should work for now," Ronnie Anne agreed.
Lisa is working on her studies.
"If the hypotenuse of a right triangle is the mean proportional between segments, then...
"Hey, Lisa! We're doing another family picture. How about we lose the glasses and do something with your hair?" Lincoln fixes up Lisa's hair in different styles such as a shaggy wild do, an afro, and even a horned style until he settles on her normal style, "Or maybe just lose the glasses, Lis."
He then takes her glasses causing Lisa to go blind.
"But, Lincoln, my astigmatism!" Lisa exclaimed before she falls down the stairs.
"Lisa, are you OK?" Lori called for her.
"It's okay! It's just a hairline fracture!" Lisa replied.
"We're taking more photos? It looks like we're gonna have to get ready for the big photo!" Leni exclaimed before her shades drop over her eyes, "Wow! I actually look good with my shades on! It makes me look like a real movie star!"
Lincoln and Bobby looked exasperated, while Lori looked dreamily.
"Wow, Leni looks great with her sun shades on," Lori said to herself dreamily, "Here, Leni. Let me help you."
Lori then takes off Leni's shades.
"Lori! I need these shades. I love them! They make me a real star!" Leni said exaggeratedly.
"Not to worry, Leni. We'll switch glasses around for you," Lori giggled before Lincoln gets an idea of switching the glasses around and decides to give Leni Lisa's glasses.
"Leni, maybe you should wear these for the picture. They make you look...um...even smarter than you already are," Lincoln explained.
"Are you sure about this, Lincoln? I don't think I can handle this." Leni replied nervously before she falls down the stairs but lands on Lisa, "I'm alright! I landed on Lisa!"
"Okay, now it's a break!" Lisa winced in pain.
"Don't worry, Leni, here, let usi help you," Bobby replied as he helps Leni up and walks her to the backyard.
"What a gentleman," Leni said to Bobby before she headed outside and Lincoln walks Lisa over.
"Okay, just stay here," Lincoln replied and he heads off.
But, guys! Are you sure about this?!" Leni asked.
"Here's some ice packs and a bandage!" Lincoln complied as he tosses them to his blind aunts who are still waiting, unaware of that.
"Okay! Throw them!" Leni and Lisa shout out.
Lori and Lincoln arrive in Lucy and Lynn's room.
"Okay, guys, time to take a new picture," Lincoln explained.
"A new picture? No way," Lynn denied.
"Come on, Lynn! Do it for Lincoln," Lori explained.
"N-O, No," Lynn denied.
"Don't worry, Mom. I know what to do," Lincoln grabs her football and she starts acting like an eager dog, "You ready, Lynn? Fetch, girl!" Lynn runs on all fours out to the retake. Lincoln tosses her the ball and she catches it in her mouth, "Good, Lynn! Now stay!
Lori then grabs Lucy's macabre book and holds it with her, escorting her to the retake. While doing so, Lucy was unaware of her surroundings.
"Say, when did we get grass in our bedroom?" Lucy asked in confusion.
"Lucy, we're out in the backyard! Now you stay here while Lincoln and I get Luna and Luan down here in the backyard!" Lori explained before they both arrive in Luna and Luan's room.
"Time to take a new picture!" Lincoln declared.
"Sweet! Let Lori just grab my axe," Luna said happily.
"And I'll get my funny nose and glasses," Luan added.
However, they find out that their items are gone.
"Dudes! Where's my axe?" Luna asked.
"And where are my glasses?" Luan asked.
"Girls, let me tell you this. Your axe and glasses will not be in this picture," Lori said sternly to her sisters, "We'll give them back to you after we get the shot!"
"You took our stuff?" Luna asked in shock.
"Then we're not gonna be in your picture!" Luan denied.
"Hmm...sure would be a shame if something happened to your things," Lori replied and Luna and Luan strike shocked poses before Lori raises her voice at them, "NOW BOTH OF YOU GET TO THE BACKYARD FOR THE FAMILY PICTURE! NOW!"
Scared by Lori's sudden outburst, Luna and Luan quickly went out to the backyard to be involved in the retake in those exact same poses.
"This picture thing has changed you, dude," Luna complained.
"Sorry, girls but this had to happen!" Lori explained.
"And that is exactly why I'm not going to be in it!" Leni complained.
"Come on Leni, it just wouldn't be the family picture without you," Lori explained.
"Oh, that's very sweet of you, Lori. But I'm still not doing it!" Leni complained.
"Which is exactly why Lincoln took the liberty of replacing you," Lori explained.
"He what?!" Leni yelled furiously.
The doorbell rings and Lori answers it. There's a girl who looks kinda like Lori in a way at the door. It happens to be a lady named Carol Pingrey.
"Hi, Carol. How are you doing?" Lori greeted.
"I'm doing wonderful. Thanks for bringing me here, guys," Carol replied.
"Lori, Lincoln, who are you both talking to?!" Leni asked angrily.
"Oh, Lori, Leni. I believe you know Carol Pingrey. Didn't she beat your sister out for homecoming queen?" Lincoln answered smugly.
"Uh huh. I know she did," Lori added before Leni angrily slams the door on Carol, "Leni! What was that for?"
"Let's get this over with, Lori! If you even think about doing it again, Lincoln's backbone will go bye-bye!" Leni yelled furiously at Lori.
Out in the backyard with the photo re-take, the girls are not happy about going through with this.
"Uh, don't worry girls. This picture will soon be over before you know it," Lori explained nervously.
"Okay, everyone excited? So am I!" Lincoln replied.
Suddenly, Lori notices her daughter Lily wandering around naked.
"Ah! There you are!" Lori shouted as she picks Lily up and and tapes her diaper tight, "You aren't getting that diaper off now! Okay pets, move in!
The pets then arrive onto the scene.
"Okay, almost there. Just a few more fixes," Lincoln replied as he takes out a package of marshmallows and takes out two of them, "Open up!" Lola opens her mouth and Lincoln puts them in the gap where her two front teeth would be, "You too!" Lincoln does the same to Lana as he did to Lola. The twins notice how ridiculous they look with these fillings.
"You look thilly!" The twins reply.
Lori puts a pacifier with a big smile print onto her daughter Lily's mouth.
"Okay, give it here, girl," Lincoln coaxed but Lynn growls in refusal and Lori decides to join in with Lincoln.
"Lynn! Drop it! Now!" Lori commanded and Lynn had no choice but to acquiesce. They then look at Luna's hair, "Luna, there's something different about you."
"What?" Luna asked bitterly.
"That hair." Lori explained.
"What about it?" Luna asked.
"Here, Luna. This wig will do the trick," Lori explained as she puts a big long wild wig on her.
"But this hair isn't mine, dude!" Luna complained.
"And these glasses aren't mine, either!" Leni yelled angrily.
"Uh, don't worry, you guys look great. Okay, Lucy, we're gonna need you to smile," Lori explained.
"I can't see that happening," Lucy complained.
"I can't see anything happening!" Lisa complained.
"You know, some folks think taking someone's picture actually steals their soul," Lincoln coaxed Lucy, "Just think of it. Your soul trapped and tormented inside a camera for all eternity," Lucy gives a small smirk.
"Close enough. Okay, I think we're ready," Lincoln checked, "Hmm...still needs something to pull it all together. I know! Mom! Get us all some matching sweaters!
Back outside, everyone was now wearing matching sweaters.
"All right, now this is a perfect picture. This is what we really want." Lori commented happily
"What was wrong with the other one?" Leni asked coldly.
"Oh, well, uh...it was kinda...you guys were a little..." Lincoln tried to explain.
"A little what, twerps?!" Leni asked in anger.
"Let me think. Yourselves?" Lincoln and Ronnie said.
In response, the girls except Lori and Lily are offended by that reason and chastise Lincoln and Ronnie Annefor it.
"So, that's what this is all about! You and your family don't like us the way we are," Leni said angrily at Lincoln and Lily.
"Well, I-you see, that is to say-I, uh..." Lincoln tried to explain with his tongue tied.
"Okay, guys, let's all put on perfect smiles for Lincoln's perfect picture, because heaven forbid we be our ACTUAL, LITERAL SELVES!" Leni shouted and the girls put on the supposed smiles Lincoln and his family wanted.
"Leni, we didn't mean..." Lori said before she and Lincoln take a look at their smiles.
"All right, this is more like it! HERE WE GO!" Lori and Lincoln shouted as they all hold their smiles and the photo is taken.
"Thanks so much, guys! We really appreciate your..." Lincoln said but all of a sudden, the sisters are gone but Lori, Bobby, Ronnie Anne and Lily are still with Lincoln, "Guys? Guys? Oh no. I think I hurt their feelings. Guys do you think they know I wasn't trying to hurt their feelings?" Lincoln asked in fear.
"Lincoln, look, let's just say that we were just so focused on getting the perfect picture," Bobby replied.
"Mom, Dad, I know that I can be a real idiot, sometimes..." Lincoln said miserably before Lori cut him off.
"No, Lincoln, please, you are not an idiot! Just, please don't beat yourself up over this," Lori said softly and sweetly as she rubbed his hair.
"It's all right, bro. Let's have Mom and Dad go talk to them for you," Ronnie Anne suggested.
"Yeah, let me and Lori handle this," Bobby finished before he and Lori go to talk to their sisters, while Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily stand there outside and sigh. They then go into the living room to find the eight sisters all sitting on the couch, looking very ticked off.
"Well, girls. Nice to see you all on the couch," Lori replied with worry.
"Hi, girls. How are you doing?" Bobby asked with worry.
"What do you guys want?!" Leni asked bitterly.
"Look, girls. Bobby and I came here to talk to you girls," Lori explained.
"About what?" Luan asked bitterly.
"About our kids, Ronnie Anne and Lincoln," Lori answered.
"We don't want to talk about those disgraceful, soulless jerks," Lucy replied angrily.
"Whoa. Lucy, that's a little much, don't you think?" Lori said in surprise.
"Lori, Bobby, you heard what your kids said! They specifically told us that we were too 'ourselves'!" Leni explained angrily.
"Yeah! That was really low of them!" Lynn complained.
"Yeah, if they don't like us the way we are, why should we care if Mom and Dad will never like your gifts?!" Luna complained.
"I honestly see nothing wrong with Lori! I'm perfect!" Lola complied.
"Maybe Lincoln and Ronnie Anne are the ones who need to change!" Lana complained.
"Yeah, maybe they should be better relatives!" Luan complained.
"I wish we had a real brother!" Lisa complained.
"ME TOO!" The other sisters complained.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Do you hear yourselves?! You're all just making assumptions without understanding Lincoln and Ronnie Anne's perspective!" Lori explained angrily.
"Well, you know what, since none of you girls seem to get it, we'll just tell you right now!" Bobby explained angrily as the girls all look at him and Lori, "First of all you girls have been really condescending towards our kids throughout the whole day! You didn't have to be so snarky towards them and insult the coffee mugs he worked really hard on!
"Yeah, how do you think my kids feel after he found out that Mom and Dad didn't like their gifts?! You pretty much just rubbed salt in an open wound!" Lori yelled angrily and the girls look slightly guilty, "And why couldn't you girls just hold still? Was it really that hard to do? He tried taking a picture of you, and you couldn't just hold still? Also, the kids weren't trying to change you girls, he just wanted to give Mom and Dad a gift they would love for once. Or should I remind you girls of the coffee mugs again?"
"Yeah, and I'm sure Lincoln and Ronnie Anne didn't mean what they said about the other picture, but Lori and I will let him speak for himself about that. Our point is, you girls really gave our kids a hard time today, and for what? Giving Mom and Dad bad gifts? Trying to give Mom and Dad a better gift? Put yourself in our kids' place," Bobby explained angrily.
"Look, just imagine if Mom and Dad didn't like your previous gifts. Then you were made fun for those gifts, then you try to give Mom and Dad a better gift, then get each other involved but you aren't cooperating with each other. How would you all feel about it?" Lori explained angrily.
The sisters all look guilty because they know how they would feel.
"Girls. I think Lori and Bobby are right. We weren't very nice today," Luan said depressingly.
"Yeah. I guess we were being condescending," Leni said depressingly.
"We made fun of Lincoln for his gifts. And all he and Ronnie Anne wanted to do was give Mom and Dad a good gift... and we weren't being reasonable with them," Luna said depressingly.
"And we just assumed they didn't like us the way we are without letting them explain themselves," Lynn said depressingly.
"We really shouldn't have jumped to conclusions," Lisa said depressingly.
"I feel ashamed," Lucy said depressingly.
"Me too," Lana replied sadly.
"As much as I hate to say it, me three," Lola said depressingly as she felt like she was about to cry.
"Lori, Bobby, do you know where your kids are? We really owe them a big apology," Luan confessed.
"Um, I think they're still outside," Lori replied as she and the others go outside, where Lincoln, Ronnie Anne and Lily are looking over the 2 pictures they took. When suddenly they see the sisters walking towards them.
"Hmmm. You guys didn't come here to yell at me some more. Did you?" Lincoln asked nervously.
"No, we didn't. Look, Lincoln. Your mom and dad talked to us and... we just want to say, we're really sorry about how we were today." Leni replied sadly.
"It wasn't cool of us to make fun of you, especially after you found out Mom and Dad didn't like your gifts," Luna said sadly.
"And we realized that... we weren't being very reasonable," Lynn replied sadly.
"We didn't understand why you wanted to take another picture, but we remembered that we didn't hold still for the first one," Lana replied sadly.
"We still weren't being reasonable when you tried to get us to take another picture," Luan replied sadly.
"We didn't realize we were giving you a hard time. We should've thought about how you felt," Lucy replied sadly.
"And we should've let you explain yourself instead of just making assumptions and leaving without listening to you. You all love us the way we are, right?" Lola asked softly.
"Of course I do. I'll always love you the way you are. I meant to say that you guys weren't holding still. And I'm really sorry if it came off the wrong way," Lincoln replied softly.
"Well, that answers that question," Lisa replied softly.
"Again, we're really sorry for acting so condescending towards you, Lincoln. And the same goes for Ronnie Anne, and Lori and Bobby. Do you all forgive us?" Leni asked softly.
"Of course we forgive you, girls," Lincoln said softly and the fourteen relatives then give out such a heartwarming hug.
"You know, now that I look at it some more. That picture does look kinda nice," Lynn replied softly.
"Yeah, we do look pretty good.." Lana replied softly.
"Look, bro, we just want you to know, we're perfectly okay with you giving Mom and Dad this picture and we're sure they're going to love it," Luna replied softly.
"Yeah, sorry it took so long for Bobby and Lori to say this, but you're gonna do great this time," Leni replied softly.
"Thanks, girls," Lincoln said softly.
"Yeah, thank you," Ronnie Anne said softly.
With that, they hug one more time, and then they all go back to doing their things.
Later, Lori, Lincolnand Ronnie Anne have gotten the picture framed.
"Well, our days of giving lame anniversary presents are over," Ronnie Anne said happily.
"Yeah, and it looks like Mom and Dad are gonna love this new portrait!" Lori said happily.
"Look at us. We're like a vision of perfection," Lincoln said happily.
"I'll say. Oh look. There's Lola," Lincoln said while he noticed Lola.
"Mirror, mirror in my hand. Who's the prettiest in the land?" Lola has fixed herself up before Lana came in covered in mud once again.
"Not you, after the mud monster gets you!" Lana roars and Lola screams. But rather than picking on each other, they're treating it like a game.
Lori, Bobby, Ronnie Anne and Lincoln all look on and see how much fun they're having and take a look at their smiles in the perfect photo.
"Hey, guys! We all got the picture framed!" Lincoln shouted but he sees Lucy reading her macabre book and looks at her smile in the photo. Luan and Lily are playing and laughing together. Lincoln and Ronnie Anne then see them and reflect upon their smiles in the photo. They then see Luna rocking out and looks back on her smile and wig in the photo. Lisa is continuing her studies.
'Computing of the original formulation. Okay, parameters..." Lisa explained.
Lincoln and Ronnie Anne see her studying and recalls how they made her smile and wear Leni's shades. Leni was taking a selfie with her camera and giggling with joy. They remember how Lincoln made Leni wear Lisa's glasses and what Leni said to them and how she got everyone to wear the fake smiles. Seeing the sisters being happy to be themselves causes him to rethink their decision on the so-called perfect picture. They step inside Lincoln's regular room.
"So, what are you gonna do now, kids?" Lori asked.
"I know which picture we're gonna give," Lincoln replied.
"And by tomorrow, they will be pleasantly surprised," Ronnie Anne said happily.
Thursday, July 17, 1986
It was now the Loud Parents' anniversary. The family was ready to give the parents Lynn Sr. and Rita a pleasant surprise this year. When they came into the living room, the Louds were ready to give them a surprise.
"HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!"
"Thanks, kids," Rita said happily
"Ooh. Whose present should we open first?" Lynn Sr. demanded.
"Hey, hey, we should open ours!" Lori suggested and the girls agree that the present that Lori and her kids took should be opened first.
"Go ahead bro, you're gonna knock em dead," Luna replied.
"Ditto!"
It turns out Bobby, Lori and their kids Lincoln and Ronnie Anne gave their parents the picture from the first take where the sisters are being themselves.
"Oh, fellas, this is wonderful! It's the best gift we've ever gotten," Rita said happily.
"Yeah, and Bobby and I helped out with the picture," Lori added.
"That's quite nice. It's going above the mantle right now," Lynn Sr. commented as he places the picture above the mantle.
Suddenly, the girls are confused with Lincoln and his family's last-minute decision.
"Lincoln, did you and your family give them the other picture?" Leni asked in confusion.
"We thought it was the wrong one," Lana said in confusion.
"No, we gave them the right one. The one that shows the real you. The perfect you. The ones that Mom, Dad, Ronnie Anne and I really love," Lincoln said happily.
"Yeah. It's what you all are, girls," Bobby said softly.
The girls embrace Lincoln and his parents in gratitude and happiness.
"Aww! Thank you, Lincoln!"
"Yeah, thanks, boy," Bobby thanked Lincoln as he, Ronnie Anne and Lori then join in on the hug.
"Aw, we love you guys!" Lori said happily.
"Yeah, we sure do," Ronnie Anne said happily.
"Yeah, thanks, everybody. And especially you, Mom and Dad," Lincoln said happily.
"You're welcome, sweetheart," Lori replied happily.
"Yeah, thank you," Bobby added.
"You know something? I think we should join in too," Rita replied as she and Lynn Sr. decided to join in on the hug as well.
"After all, we're one big happy family," Lynn Sr. commented.
"No one should ever be left behind or forgotten," Lori said happily as they continue to hug, showing the the love they have for each other.
