Chapter 12: Kelly Gibbs: Part 1
"Because they are not meant to be", someone says
Gibbs turns around to come face to face with his daughter. His little girl. She looking the same as when he saw her last all those years ago.
"Kelly is that really you?" Gibbs asks
"It is really me Daddy", Kelly says smiling
Gibbs pulls Kelly into his arms and hugs her tight. He couldn't believe he was seeing her. He cries on his daughters head. He couldn't believe she was here in his arms.
"Is this a dream?" Gibbs asks
"No. You already know your close to death. That is why everyone is talking to you. Now it is my turn Daddy. Why do you keep putting yourself in danger?" Kelly asks
"I don't", Gibbs denies
"Yes you do. You were nearly killed by Ari. And you nearly died after being blown up. And the car in the river with Maddie. They are only 3 examples there are hundreds more. You are being reckless Daddy. And this has to stop right now. Why do you want to die so much?" Kelly asks him
"I can't live without you and your mother Kelly", Gibbs states
"You must Daddy. If you go back you will be happy. Trust me", Kelly says
"Aren't you going to show me like the others did?" Gibbs asks
"No I am not. I am not allowed to show you the future of your life. You will find out though. But I will show you something you should know about Tony DiNozzo the man you think of as a son", Kelly says
The scene fades and they appear in a mansion.
"Where are we?" Gibbs asks his daughter
"This was the home of the DiNozzo's of Long Island, New York", Kelly says, "There is Tony now"
A little Tony was hurrying up the stairs with a big chocolate cake. It was so heavy that little Tony dropped it. There was a load smashing sound and Anthony DiNozzo Senior appears looking furious.
"Why you little bastard!" Senior snarls
"Please sir I will clean it up", Tony stutters
"Not good enough brat", Senior snarls removing his belt
Gibbs's eyes widen as Senior belts Tony to within an inch of his life.
"I will kill him", Gibbs growls
"Oh my baby. My Tony", a woman says tending to Tony's wounds
"That is Isabella DiNozzo. Tony's mother", Kelly explains to her father
"Mummy why does Daddy hate me?" Tony asks his mother
"He doesn't hate you baby. He is just stressed with work", the woman says
"Ok Mummy", Tony says snuggling up to his mother
"That was not the hardest part for Tony", Kelly says softly
The scene changes to one of a bedroom with Isabella lying on it and Tony with her.
"I love you baby. Always remember that", Isabella whispers her voice weak
"I will. Please don't leave me", Tony says as tears start to fall
"I have to baby. My time is up. I love you with all my heart baby forever I will watch over you in heaven", Isabella says
"Will I see you again?" Tony asks
"We will see each other again when you after hopefully a long life and have grown old with your beloved die and reach heaven", Isabella says softly weakly running her fingers through Tony's hair
"Please Mum don't leave", Tony begs
"Be strong my love. Will you promise to be a better person then your father?" Isabella asks
"I pinkie promise mum", Tony says
"I love you my little baby", Isabella says as she breaths her last
Tony cries and crawls up onto his mothers dead chest. He cries into her.
"Isabella DiNozzo was the only person Tony had for comfort. After she died. Senior spent years beating Tony", Kelly says as imagines pass showing Gibbs the abuse
"He will die for all he has done", Gibbs growls
"This is the WILL hearing of Isabella Marie Venice-DiNozzo", a lawyer says
Sitting in the room was Senior, Tony and a number of other people that Gibbs didn't recognise.
"The WILL is fairly simple. She left all her possions and fortune to her love", the lawyer says
"Yes", Senior says with glee
"No you Mr DiNozzo. Her son Anthony DiNozzo Junior. She says he deserves it. It will be in a trust till he turns 21", the lawyer says
Senior goes red with anger, "There must be some mistake"
"There isn't Mr DiNozzo. She left a total of 4 million US Dollars to your son", the lawyer says
"Senior didn't like that. That was when he ended up in hospital for inheriting his mothers fortune or what senior says stealing it from him", Kelly explains
"You WILL go into the family business junior", Senior snarls at a 12 year old Tony
"I will not follow in your footsteps! I am going to be a cop. I what to save people from the likes of you!" Tony growls
Senior punches Tony
Gibbs snarls all he wanted was to pull Tony away from that man and shot Senior a few times.
"Daddy there is nothing you can do", Kelly says with regret, "This is the past. We can't change the past"
"I disown you. You will never inherit my fortune!" Senior says with a evil grin at his son
"This memory shows you a day. That you forgot. Before all this", Kelly says as the scene changes, "You have meet Tony DiNozzo before Baltimore you just didn't recognise him"
"When was this?" Gibbs asks trying to think of a time he meet Tony before Baltimore
"When I was 5. We had gone to the lake. Here let me show you", Kelly says as the scene changes around them
The Gibbs's family sat at a picnic table having a weekend camping trip. Kelly fell of the jetting with a scream. Gibbs and Shannon turn and rush to save there daughter but they were too late. A young boy was dragging Kelly to shore.
"I remember this. That is Tony?" Gibbs asks
"Yes that was Tony. He saved my life that day. He was only 11. So before he went to military school", Kelly says smiling
"I never knew. I wish I could thank him", Gibbs says softly
"You still have a choice", Kelly reminds him
"I still can't live without you", Gibbs says
"What if you had Jenny?"
