Merry Christmas Everyone. I hope you all have a great and safe Christmas/holiday. Have fun and enjoy yourselves. But take time to think of those who can't be with you by distance, by illness, unable to travel or those that have past on. But also take time to think about the less fortunate.

And on a personal note to my Nan who passed this year. I'll miss you at Christmas the most. I love you and I hope you have quite the celebration in Heaven with the rest of our family and friends that have gone before you. I hope you know we will be thinking about you and everyone else at Christmas.

Chapter 13: Kelly Gibbs: Part 2

"What if you had Jenny?" Kelly asks looking off causally into the distance, like she could see something he couldn't.

Gibbs looked at her sharply. What did she mean Jenny?

"What about Jenny she is dead. Shouldn't she have seen me by now? Even just to yell at me?" Gibbs asks trying not to get angry with Kelly.

He stands up and begins to pace. What about Jenny? She was dead and ancient history. So there was no need for Kelly to bring up Jenny.

And anyway, he failed Jenny, like he always fails everyone else.

Kelly smiles, "Jenny would have if she was actually dead"

Gibbs halts in his movements in shock.

Did Kelly just imply Jenny was alive? She was alive? Why didn't she contact him? Why didn't she at least explain herself before hiding away?

"Jenny is alive?" Gibbs asks his voice changing.
"Yes", Kelly replies simply.

"How? What? Why?" Gibbs asks starting to pace and growl.

How was this possible? Ducky did the autopsy. So, wouldn't be say he, did it?

"How come she didn't come to me? How is she alive? What the hel…what is going on?" Gibbs asks stopping himself from swearing in front of the 8-year-old.

"Dad, Jenny would probably have told you if she could", Kelly tells him calmly.

"Kelly please be straight with me it had been a long day", Gibbs says with a tried say and sitting down in a huff again.

All he wanted was to die? Was that so difficult to ask? But now his thoughts where on those he would leave behind and how his death would affect them.

And he probably needed to order DiNozzo to live again if he wanted that apology, he owned him. Because yes, he had thought about what the others said. Yes, he was reckless, and he needlessly put DiNozzo in danger every time he put himself in danger as DiNozzo always had his Six.

But did he have DiNozzo's?

Then what about Jenny? He had pushed her away like he did Tony. He didn't have her six either. So, he really screwed overrule one didn't he?

He heard a voice calling him.

"Daddy come back. Come back Daddy", he heard the sweat voice of Kelly's call him.

"Yeh, yeah I'm here", Gibbs says wearily rubbing his face.

"What were you thinking about?" Kelly asks him looking at him knowingly.

Gibbs reminds silent.

"Tony AND Jenny?" Kelly asks with a mischievous smirk on her face.

"Don't start Kelly", Gibbs replies as she bursts out laughing trying not to laugh with her.

"Sorry Daddy but it IS funny. You should see the great Leroy Jethro Gibbs face when I mention them…", Kelly laughs as Gibbs tickles her.

Kelly laughs and laughs. To Gibbs this was the most beautiful sound in the world. But something felt missing.

"You feel something missing don't you Daddy? You have a new family and don't even know it and that is what you feel is missing", Kelly says with a bright smile giggling after the tickle attack.

Gibbs freezes. A new Family. Had he replaced his family without even trying?

But what about Shannon? What about Kelly? Could he leave them behind?

"Daddy you'll never lose us. Grandma, Agent Franks, Agent Lee, Agent Macy, Agent Cassidy and Agent Todd. We will always be with you no matter where you are. We will still be by your side always and one step behind", Kelly tells him wisely.

Gibbs pulls her into a huge hug.

"What would I do without you and your Mother?" Gibbs whispers.

"Never have the people you have now. But as I said family will be always with you no matter what life you choice but your choice may case a domino affect like you have seen by others", Kelly replies.

"Kelly want did you mean about Jenny? Is it too late with DiNozzo?" Gibbs asks her his mind still racing.

Kelly smiles sensing he was making a decision.

Kelly waves her hand, and he sees Jenny laying in a hospital bed. Unconscious.

"She is in a coma Dad she hasn't made her choice yet", Kelly tells him.

"But it has been a couple of years", Gibbs states shocked.

"Sometimes people linger. But not often", Kelly informs him.

Gibbs stares at the woman he loved next to Shannon. Could he take a chance and go back to her and his team no his family that needed him?

Then the scene changes to see DiNozzo hooked up to all those monitors his knee in traction. His chest covered in bandages and tubes and wires everywhere and his struggling body. Fighting for life.

Ziva by his side whispering to Tony to come home.

Tony would need him if…no when he recovered as he heard his field days were over. He could be there to support him and be the Father, Tony deserves.

As we saw his team visiting Tony and Ducky AND McGee trying DiNozzo Senior but were ignored or not listened too.

"Tony", he whispers and looks at the scene next to Tony of Jenny's, "Jen"

Kelly smiles a bright smile as he felt something change around him.

Kelly hugs him tight and whispers in his ear, "I love you Daddy. Make sure you treat you team well, and tell Jenny I like her if she can keep you in your place and remember to live"

"What?" Gibbs asks confused.

"You're going back Daddy. You're going back. You have chosen. Both your heart and body", Kelly replies.

"I love you, Kelly. Thank you", Gibbs tells her.

She smiles, "No Daddy. Thank you for everything you have done for ALL of us and remember we are always be beside you and one step behind you"

The scene was going foggy.

"I believe you sweetheart", Gibbs says with a smile, starting to feel peace settle in his heart for the first time in forever.

"Dad some rules are meant to be broken and apologizing isn't a sign of weakness among family. Remember that", Kelly says disappearing into the fog with a address whispered in his ear.

Gibbs felt the air around him changing.

He was going back.

He had to save Jenny.

He had to save Tony…
