Not only is it the first chapter to feature Lily in her first year in daycare, but this chapter is a partial parody of the Rugrats episode "The Big House" from Season 2. The rights of that show go to the creators Arlene Klasky, Gabor Csupo and Paul Germain.

It was early Monday Morning, September 8, 1986 in The Loud House. Inside the house's hallway, everyone was getting ready for school as they were grabbing they backpacks and school supplies and went out to Vanzilla as they waited for their parents in the van.

"Come on, everybody! You don't wanna be late for school!" Lori called for her siblings.

"Yeah, fellas! You snooze, you lose!" Bobby agreed with Lori.

"Coming, Mom and Dad," Lincoln replied.

"Yes, Lori and Bobby, we're coming!" Leni replied as they all went outside to the van.

Just when all of the siblings left the house, Lori and Bobby suddenly noticed there's only one child missing, and it was Lily.

"Honey, where's Lily?" Lori asked Bobby.

"She's right here, babe," Bobby said as it turned out Lily had appeared next to Bobby, "Right next to me."

In response, Lori looked down and saw Lily wearing clothes this time around with a smile on her face.

"Awww... You look cute for your first day of daycare," Lori said in a sweet maternal tone as she picks up Lily and kisses her.

"You know, babe, Lisa told me last night that there would be plenty of things for Lily to do at her new daycare," Bobby explained.

"There sure are, Bobby," Lori said softly as she turns to Lily, "And Lily, Bobby and I are very sure that you are most certainly gonna love it."

"Lori, Bobby, hurry it up! We haven't got all day!" Rita called for Lori and Bobby in a stern voice, "Your father and I don't want to be late for work!"

"We're coming, Mom and Dad! Don't you think about budging in on our parenting!" Lori said sternly to her mother before she turned to Bobby, "Well, honey. It's time to go."

With that, Lori, Bobby and the parents walk out the door with Lori holding Lily firmly in her arms as they all got inside the van with Lori at the wheel and Bobby and Lily sitting up front with her. Once they got in, Lori pulled the van out of the driveway and they all headed on their way to school and work in the van.

But while they were on their way, Lily was shy on first day as she couldn't figure out how to explain it.

"So, Lily. Are you excited for your first day at daycare?" Lori said softly to Lily.

"I dwon't know," Lily said nervously, "I am a bwit nervous."

"Don't be, my youngest sibling. Your not the only person who use to feel this way,
Lisa explained to Lily, "I had the same feeling when I was your age."

"Yeah, Lily. It's kind of like kindergarten, but for younger people," Lori said softly to Lily, "I'm sure you'll make it through your first day."

"Yeah, trust us, my dear girl," Bobby said softly to Lily in agreement.

About a few minutes later, the Vanzilla pulled up in front of the Shuttleworth Academy Daycare, where Lori got off and she took Lily inside in her stroller where they came in and met one of the daycare teachers for the first time.

"Why hello there."

But Lily starts to feel afraid about being in the daycare on her first day as she slowly started crying.

"Oh my, what's wrong, dear?"

"Oh, he's just really shy to strangers, Miss..." Lori tried to finish as she picked her up, "...uh..."

"Miss Branson," Miss Branson introduced herself, "And you are..."

"I'm Lori Loud, Miss Branson," Lori introduced herself, "I'm Lily's mother."

"Why, Lori. You must be someone very special," Miss Branson said to Lori, "By the way, I am a very friendly teacher, and I shall take good care of your daughter."

But at that moment, Lily continued crying in Lori's chest.

"Don't worry, Lily Wiwy. You're safe right here in this daycare," Lori said softly to Lily, "Mommy's gonna pick you up after school okay? I love you, sweetie."

With that, Lori kissed Lily and hands her over to the daycare teacher and gives her the stroller.

"I... I wove you, Mommy," Lily said as she was still crying softly.

"Awwww, I love you too, sweetheart," Lori said as she hugged Lily before she started leaving as she had to go to school.

And around the time Lori walked out of the daycare and closed the door, Lily's face became very sad and she started bawling like Tommy Pickles.

"WAAAAAAAAH! AAAAAAH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

"Oh, Lily Wiwy, Don't cry. It will be okay, Lily," Miss Branson said softly to Lily as she picked her up out of the stroller and set her on the floor, "Here, you can play with this lovely ball here."

At that moment, Miss Branson handed Lily a ball, causing her to stop crying as she starts playing with the ball and starts to become happy.

Just then, Dr. Shuttleworth came up to them in fear and she shouted out, "Miss Branson! Come in, Miss Branson! We've got a toilet incident in the bathroom facility!"

Miss Branson then quickly came to notice, "Yes, Dr. Shuttleworth! Toilet Incident in the bathroom area! I'm going to check on both the little boys and little girls rooms to see which one of them had the incident occuring!"

With that, Miss Branson and Dr. Shuttleworth proceeded to the bathroom section to investigate on where the incident occurred while Lily was playing with the ball happily, knowing that her first day was actually off to a decent start.

But just when all seemed well, an infant her age who was playing with a toy school bus and wore a red shirt and blue overalls decided to call for Lily.

"Psst."

Just then, Lily stopped playing with her ball and looked around, believing that someone else her age must have spoke.

"Over here," the infant spoke to Lily, "Gotta speak with you."

"You talking to me?" Lily asked the infant but...

"Shhhhh," the infant silenced Lily, "You don't want them screws to hear you speaking, do you?

"Screws?" Lily asked in confusion.

"You know, grown ups?" the infant replied.

"Oh, yeah, like uh... our new teacher, Miss Branson," Lily replied to the infant.

"You're new around here, ain't ya?" the infant suggested.

"Yeah, I am," Lily replied while she held her ball.

"By the way, my name's Jake," Jake introduced himself, "But everyone around here calls me "Wiseguy" since I'm possibly the wisest of the infants your age here in this daycare. In fact, I'm a counter. I know everything that's going on."

"That sounds good, Jake" Lily said before she introduced herself, "By the way, my name's Lily Loud. The youngest of the Loud siblings. And I'm Lincoln and Ronnie Anne's younger sister."

"Sure. Sure, Lily," Jake started explaining to Lily, "Listen, if you're gonna make it here in this daycare, you got to know what's going on around here."

"Wait, what?" Lily said in confusion.

"You see that kid over there?" Jake said as he pointed to a slightly older infant who was wearing a green shirt and blue overalls who was walking up to an infant in a light blue onesie drinking a bottle, "That's big Justin. He's gotten into bossing some of us around every time when he's the biggest infant around in this part of the daycare."

At that same moment, Justin took the other infant's bottle away and started drinking out of that bottle.

"You see that girl over there?" Jake continued as he pointed to a little girl with black hair, a pink shirt and red overalls building a structure with wood blocks, "That's Mollie, but they call her The Builder. On a counter, she's always playing with blocks. And look over there," Jake then pointed to another infant with black hair, a purple shirt and blue trousers playing with some playdough, "His name's Toby, but we around here call him Doughboy. He can make anything out of Play-Doh."

A few moments later, when all seemed well, another infant in a green onesie started bawling his eyes out which got Miss Ranson and Dr. Shuttleworth's attention.

"What's wrong with that kid?" Lily asked Jake in worry.

"Ah, don't worry about him, Lily. He's just faking you," Jake replied.

"Faking you?" Lily asked with worry.

"Yep," Jake explained, "His name's Robert, but we infants call him Crybaby. He can make himself cry even when there's nothing bothering him."

Around that same moment, Miss Branson and Dr. Shuttleworth tried to offer Robert a teddy bear and a rattle, but Robert makes himself cry again in response, but suddenly...

"Hey," Justin said as he came up to Lily and Jake, "Who's the new kid?"

"Oh, uh... hi, J-Justin," Jake said to Justin, "This here is L-Lily L-Loud. She's new here."

"Nice ball, kid," Justin said as he prepared to take the ball from Lily, "Give it to me."

"No!" Lily denied as she refused to give the ball to Justin, which got the attention of the infants in the daycare.

"What'd you say, kid?" Just asked in concern.

"It's my ball, and you cannot have it!" Lily said in anger.

"Look, Lily, you're new around here, and maybe nobody told you," Justin explained, "I'm Big Justin, and I run this area. Now give me the ball!"

"No!" Lily denied as she refused to give the ball to Justin.

"I said give it to me!" Justin yelled as he tried to take the ball from Lily.

"I said NO! You cannot have it!" Lily denied in anger as she and Justin started fighting over the ball, which got the attention.

"I bet you a cookie, Justin gets the ball," Robert said to Jake as he got out a cookie.

"You're on," Jake replied as he got a cookie out of his pocket.

A few moments later, while Lily and Justin were fighting over the ball, Lily ends up losing her grip on the ball and falls into a wagon named the "Speedster" which starts rolling across the room. As it started rolling across the room, the wagon knocks over Mollie's block structure, crushes Toby's clay cat sculpture, and it then rams into a wall.

At that moment, Toby stares at what happened to his clay sculpture.

"Oh, geez. I am so sorry, Toby. I didn't mean it!" Lily said in fear.

But in response, Toby started crying about his dead clay cat with density effect sound, which got Miss Branson's attention alongside Dr. Shuttleworth as they both entered the room.

Once they entered the room, they noticed the damage that was caused in the playroom, before noticing Lily in the wagon, believing that she did it on purpose.

"What's the problem here, Miss Branson?" Dr. Shuttleworth asked Miss Branson.

"It seems like Lily must have caused a bunch of ruckus while we were investigating the toilet incident," Miss Branson explained to Dr. Shuttleworth, "What do you think we should do with her?"

"Should we call her mother and tell her about this?" Dr. Shuttleworth suggested.

"No, that's too harsh," Miss Branson denied, "Different suggestion please."

"Or maybe we should do a withdrawal of snack ratification from her?" Dr. Shuttleworth suggested.

"Uh-uh," Miss Branson denied.

"Or maybe change her diaper," Dr. Shuttleworth suggested as she got out a fresh diaper.

"No, Dr. Shuttleworth. I'm afraid we have no other option but to give her... a time out!" Miss Branson said in concern as she pointed to Lily.

And the infants all gasped in shock.

"Oh my god!" Big Justin said in shock.

"They're gonna give Lily the pen!" Jake said in shock.

"I can't bear to see it!" Robert said in fear.

With that, Miss Branson and Dr. Shuttleworth proceeded to pick Lily up and send her to the time-out play pen that had signs saying "No Playing" and "No Talking".

"Miss Branson, I'd still say a nice change of diapers would at least cheer the little girl up," Dr. Shuttleworth confessed as Miss Branson put Lily in the time-out pen.

"How long should Lily stay in there?" Dr. Shuttleworth asked Miss Branson.

"Five minutes," Miss Branson responded.

"Five minutes?" Dr. Shuttleworth said in shock, "Don't you think this is a bit harsh on Lily?"

"Do it, Dr. Shuttleworth," Miss Branson said in a stern voice, "Don't fail me."

"Y-yes, ma'am," Dr. Shuttleworth said as she set the timer for 5 minutes.

At that moment, Lily started to become fearful upon knowing that she has to spend the next five minutes in time-out.

"Five minutes?!" Mollie said in shock and fear.

"Those screws are being kind of overprotective with us during our time here," Toby explained to Mollie.

With Lily, she began to stare at the clock that was ticking before she noticed a sippy cup that was right near her feet. Once she noticed, she picked the cup up and began rattling the cup against the bars of the pen for a few moments before Miss Branson came to take the cup away.

"No, no, no Lily. Remember, noisemaking is not part of... timeout," Miss Branson said as she took the cup away.

For the next five minutes, Lily's face soon became fearful again, as she began to watch the clock tick for the time she was spending in the time out.

As the clock was ticking, Lily was counting the minutes with her fingers, and began wandering around the pen, wondering how much longer she would be in there. Within the last two minutes or so, while she counted with her fingers, she stared at the clock with her hands gripping the bars.

Just when Lily believed that she would never, ever get out of the pen, the 5 minute timer had hit 0:00, meaning that her time-out is up.

"Well, Lily Wiwy, I think we're feeling a whole lot better now, aren't we?" Miss Branson said politely as she picked Lily up out of the pen and placed her back into the playroom floor.

"Wow, Lily. Five minutes," Jake said to Lily, "I've seen some infants here crack after two."

"I got to admit, Loud. You're a lot tougher than I guessed," Justin explained as he walked up to Lily.

"It was snack time while you were in the pen, by the way," Jake explained as he handed Lily a cookie, "I saved this for you."

"Thanks, Jake," Lily responded politely as she grabbed the cookie and started munching on the cookie right away, "Mmmm. This is good. What kind is it by the way?"

"It's a cookie that I left over from snack time," Jake replied as Lily finished up on eating the cookie, "It's one of the few common snacks they give us here in this daycare."

"Okay, listen up. I did some thinking while I was in the time-out pen," Lily explained.

"Yeah? What was it?" Jake asked Lily.

"We're listening, Lily," Justin added.

"I've got an idea, you two," Lily said as she got the two together, "We're gonna bust ourselves out of here."

But the two infants become shocked upon hearing what Lily said.

"What's the matter?" Lily asked in concern.

Jake then started explaining, "Well, some of the infants that were younger than us have tried it, and..."

"He had a buddy who tried to break out," Justin added before Jake pushed him aside.

"I can tell it," Jake continued as he pushed Justin aside, "He tried to climb out the window. But guess what? They caught him before he even reached the bars!

"And what... what did... did they do to him?" Lily asked with worry.

"First, they put him in the pen... just to soften him up. Then, they made him put away all the toys in the playroom, by himself!" Jake explained before he begain to start crying, "Then, they... c... CALLED HIS MOM!"

"They transferred him to another daycare here in Royal Woods. We never saw him again," Justin finished as he comforted Jake.

"Well, my plan's different," Lily started explaining, "We're not gonna get caught, and we're not gonna get transferred either. We're just gonna get out and get back to our parents."

"I... I don't know," Jake said in worry.

"Look, I can't promise you much, but if we get out of here, there are a few things I can promise you!" Lily explained as Jake and Justin followed along, "No more naps! No more forced healthy foods! No more screws! And best of all... no more time-out!"

"No more time out..." Justin said to himself.

"But I just need to know one thing. Are you with me?" Lily said to Jake and Justin.

With that, Jake and Justin agreed with what Lily said and put their hands with Lily's knowing that they are with her, ready to put their plan into action.

Two hours later around 12:05 P.M., lunch was now being served, and Dr. Shuttleworth was giving them their lunch meals.

"And here's your chicken and vegetables for you, and here's one for you," Dr. Shuttleworth said as she was giving the infants ther lunch meals at one table.

At another table, Jake has told Robert and Mollie some news about Lily's plan quietly.

"Lily wants us to meet behind the swings at playtime," Robert informed Mollie, "Pass it on.

"Lily wants us to meet behind the swings," Mollie informed Toby, "Pass it on."

"Meet us with Lily behind the swings. Pass it on," Toby informed another infant.

After lunch, it was now recess time, but the infants were not playing on the seesaw, nor they were playing in the sandbox. In fact, they were actually meeting up with Lily behind the swings

"Okay, everybody, bear with me. The first thing we've got to do is get the screws' attention," Lily explained to the other infants, "Robert, this is where you come in."

"Don't worry about me, Lily. Tears is my business," Robert replied as tears began to form in his eyes.

"Good," Lily responded before she continued, "Next we're gonna need to make something big and tall. Mollie, that's what we need from you. You think you can do it?"

"No problem, Lily," Mollie replied.

"Next, we got to find a way to open the lock," Lily continued, "Toby, do you think you can make a key out of playdough?"

"No worries, Lily. I can do it," Toby responded.

"Okay, here's the plan," Lily started explained before they all got into a group together.

But little do they know that Dr. Shuttleworth and Miss Branson are watching from the back window of the daycare.

"Hmmmm... that Lily Loud is quite popular for a first year in this daycare," Dr. Shuttleworth said to Miss Branson.

"Yes, and perhaps, she's quite intelligent, too," Miss Branson added.

About an hour later, the infants were all napping in the floor, and Dr. Shuttleworth was checking on the infants to make sure they were napping as they were supposed to. After she had checked and left the main room, Lily, Jake and Justin all opened their eyes so they could have a secret conversation.

"I sure hope your plan works, Loud," Jake said to Lily, "We don't want to be transferred to another daycare."

"Don't worry, Jake. It'll work," Lily replied.

"What are you gonna do when you get out, Lily?" Justin asked Lily.

"Me? I'm looking forward to being with my mommy, my daddy, and my big brother and my big sister," Lily explained, "How about you, Jake?"

"I got a bottle back home with my name on it," Jake explained.

"Yeah, there's a girl back home waiting for me," Justin explained, "I call her... Mom."

"Yeah," Lily and Jake replied before Dr. Shuttleworth came back in and the three of them closed their eyes to pretend they were sleeping.

Around 2:45 P.M., the infants were back to playing with their toys with Lily and Justin playing with the ball together, as Dr. Shuttleworth prepared to leave the main area.

"Now you kids be good while I go see Miss Branson for a little something that's only for the grown-ups," Dr. Shuttleworth said before she left to see Miss Branson for something important.

But once Dr. Shuttleworth left the area, Lily immediately rose up to give out the signal.

"It's all clear!" Lily announced before she turned to Robert, "Now, Robert!"

"With pleasure, Lily," Robert said before he began bawling and throwing a tantrum, which got Dr. Shuttleworth's attention.

"Oh dear, sounds like little Robert's crying his eyes out again," Dr. Shuttleworth said to herself before she called for Miss Ranson, "Miss Ranson! Miss Ranson! You better get over here!"

In response, Miss Ranson immediately came in upon hearing Dr. Shuttleworth, knowing that one of the infants is crying again.

"What is it, Dr. Shuttleworth?" Miss Ranson asked.

"We have a crying situation, Miss Ranson! And I mean a really big one!" Dr. Shuttleworth explained to Miss Ranson.

"Oh my word! Is it Robert again?" Miss Ranson said in worry.

"Yes it is, Miss Ranson! And we better act fast!" Dr. Shuttleworth replied quickly, "We've got a full-on crying tantrum situation! We better do something about it immediately!"

"Right on, doctor," Miss Branson replied as the two proceeded to do what they can to try to take care of the situation.

With Lily, she knew that Robert did his part in their plan and gave out the signal.

"All clear, Jake!" Lily exclaimed.

In response, Jake just gave a thumbs up before he and the other infants began passing the blocks onto Mollie before she and another infant girl began building a staircase out of the wooden building blocks.

Around that moment, Lily looked to Toby who made a statue of Liberty out of playdough, and she then gave a thumbs up signal and said, "Now, Toby!"

In response, Toby went ahead to grab his playdough statue and change it up so that it looks like a key. Once he did so, he passed it on to Jake whom he passed it onto Justin.

Once Justin got a hold of the "key", he carefully put it in his blue overalls before proceeding to climb up the built staircase to the top just under the keyhole. Once he did so, he looked down at his friends including Lily who were encouraging him to move forward.

With that, Justin proceeded to grab the "key" that was made from playdough out of his blue overalls and began reaching for the keyhole, but realized that it's too high and he cannot reach.

"It's too high! I can't reach it!" Justin recalled, which got the infants worried.

"What are we gonna do, Lily?" Jake asked with worry.

"Maybe if I can stand on his shoulders, I might just about reach it," Lily explained as she went to climb the staircase made from Mollie's blocks before climbing onto Justin's shoulders.

Once she did so, Lily tried to be careful while standing on Justin's shoulders while trying to carefully grab the "key" out of Justin's hands so she can reach for the keyhole.

"Okay, I... I... I think I can do it," Lily said to herself as she reached up high so she can insert the "key" into the keyhole. But once she did so, the "key" began to squish upon entering the keyhole and Lily realized that it was indeed made out of playdough.

"It's too soft! I can't turn it!" Lily screamed in fear after realizing the material it's made out of.

"Hurry, Lily! I don't think Rob... I mean Crybaby can last much longer!" Jake screamed as it turns out that Robert was still crying and Dr. Shuttleworth and Miss Ranson were still investigating the crying situation.

And just when all hope began to seem lost for the infants, the door suddenly opened, and it reveals to be Lori who has come to pick Lily up since her day at high school just ended, and she became surprised upon the sight of what she saw, thinking that Lily was playing with the new friends that she made during her first day at the daycare.

"Hi there, sweetie," Lori said softly to Lily, "Did you have a lovely first day at daycare?"

"Goo-goo!" Lily babbled happily, meaning that she did have a good day.

"Awwww. I thought so too, sweetheart, "Lori said sweetly as she picked Lily up and hugged her, "Mommy missed you so much."

With that, Lori proceeded to put Lily back in her stroller and take her out of the daycare and back to Vanzilla so they can head on home as Jake and Justin watched in awe and happiness, knowing that Lily made it out alive.

"I guess she made it after all," Jake said in relief.

But what about the rest of us?" Justin said in concern, "She said we'd all get out. I trusted that baby girl."

Around that same moment, someone else came in.

"Justin sweetie!"

It turns out that Justin's mother had come to pick him up and Justin became happy to see her.

"Mommy!" Justin said happily as he hugged his mother.

"For once, I knew Lily would keep her word," Jake said happily to his friends.

Outside the daycare, Lori and Lily were headed towards Vanzilla with smiles on their faces as she opened the door and very gently placed Lily in her carseat up front with Bobby before placing her stroller in the trunk of the van. Once she did so, she got in and sat in the driver's seat before they all went home.

"So, kids. How was school today?" Lori asked softly.

"It was great for me today, Mom," Lincoln replied joyously, "I had my first big math assignment today, and my English class is going along smoothly. And plus, I'm learning some more about prehistoric life in history, and plus, I'm got an A minus on my science and math assignments today."

"That's awesome, sweetie," Lori said happily before she turned to the girls, "And how about you girls?"

"I focused on my work just like last time, and I got some A's and B's on some of my assignment today and from the past week," Leni said in a satisfied tone.

"Yeah, we all focused on our schoolwork this time around, bra," Luna replied sorrowfully.

"Yep, Lucy and I didn't skip school this time around," Lynn added.

"It means we have learned our lesson from what happened this past Tuesday," Lucy added.

"Well, that's great, since Bobby and I both focused on our schoolwork, too," Lori replied, "And plus we both got mostly A's and some B's on our assignments from today and the previous week. And you know, I'm glad Lily had a great first day at daycare."

"So am I, babe," Bobby replied, "So am I."

With that, the whole family went back home, including Lily, knowing she had a great first day at daycare.
