Leaves
DaCow Takao
There goes one leaf. That must have been the first one to fall this Fall. I wish it weren't getting so cold; I hate it in Russia when it gets like this. Maybe some knew people will come to the Abbey and I can make new friends. Yeah, that would be cool, hopefully they're nice though, and I've got enough grouchy and ill-tempered friends.
"Kai, get your face off that window, what if some one outside saw some loser kid's face pressed up against a window, how would that look?" came an annoyed voice from behind a small two toned haired boy.
"Well, I guess that would prove I was a real loser." Kai retorted, turning to see his redheaded friend.
Tala sighed, the red head was obviously not in a good mood," You're so immature Kai, I don't know why people have this crazy idea you're "destined for greatness'." He said the last part in a mocking tone.
Kai frowned," I'm not immature, and you're probably just mad because I beat you in that beybattle earlier."
"Whatever, move over so I can see," Tala ordered, Kai quickly scooted over to make room for Tala.
Kai smiled; glad to now have company to watch leaves fall with. He could almost see a smile cross over Tala's face, he was glad Tala found some entertainment in looking outside, though, of course, most kids in the abbey enjoyed looking outside.
"Kai?" Tala turned to look at the blue haired boy.
"Yeah Tala?'
"Even though we're supposed to be rivals, we're friends, right?"
"Of course we are, why wouldn't we be friends?"
Tala sighed, he then shook his head," Sorry, it was a stupid question," he said, before wondering over to another window.
Kai followed him," Why Tala, we seem to be upset about something?" he stated, a sly smile crossing his lips.
Tala looked over at Kai," I'm not upset, Tala Ivanov never shows his emotions." He snapped, a glare on his face.
Kai smiled," Nice, Sir Ivanov," he commented, adding in the last part just to annoy his friend.
"I'm glad you realize I'm above you, but I'm not sure I like the mocking tone that went with it," Tala retorted, a smirk now suppressed his lips.
"Are you sure you're above me?" Kai asked, raising an eyebrow at the redhead.
"Duh, of course I am," Tala replied, rolling his eyes at his companion.
As Kai was about to say something, a group of kids ran by, one of them stopping when he spotted Kai and Tala," Mr. Balkov has something new to show us, he says it's a bitbeast named Black Dranzer!" The kid said in a rather excited voice.
Kai glanced over at Tala," What would you rather do, watch leaves fall from a tree, or go see a new bitbeast?" he asked, a smirk now only occupied his face.
Tala thought for a moment," I'm gonna have to go with seeing a new bitbeast."
"Same here," Kai said, as he and Tala got up to go find the bitbeast.
The two ran off to go find wherever it was the new bitbeast was at, the whole time one word pinged through in both of their minds.
Friends.
