I Found A Pearl

A/N: I'm alive! It took days for my new charger to get here and I'm social distancing, I hope you guys are as well and staying safe, wearing masks and such. Um, with my birthday three days away, I will try my best to upload new chapters to Chaos as a Family and Ashes in My Wake. Stay safe, have fun reading.

Sandy watched her best friend for a moment, waving her hand to conceal the entrance to the cave as SpongeBob sat across from her, asking, "Why not? It'll give Nightwell a powerful alliance and maybe. . .maybe I could learn to love Princess Holly," he continued, coughing out the word love.

For as long as Sandy knew him, he never had a problem saying love, even if it were something small. If she could, she'd like to visit the royal family of Elden. "I had a vision," she started, petting Rune for a moment. "I saw Nightwell in ruins and I-I felt a blade in my chest. You were. . .Holly was above you with a sword." She stopped, trying to gather the rest of the vision as her eyes closed. "She had said something about securing an heir and wiping Nightwell off the map." She finished, eyes glowing a light purple.

"Then when? She'll be here tomorrow, I need to tell the guards and my parents." He yelled, standing up to leave and hitting the concealment spell. He grunted as he fell onto his back, looking at the dark ceiling.

"I'll be there," Sandy said, helping him up. "if I can, I'll stay as long as I need to, so this doesn't come to pass. The only problem is my visions aren't as strong as they used to be." She continued, looking through her bag and pulling out a crystal ball. "My husband, he's a fighter for Talfryn, but he learned magic when he was young. He gave me this to make things clearer."

SpongeBob nodded, backing up as Rune transformed again, engulfing the crystal in flames as Sandy stared into it.

"On your wedding day, she will bribe the guards to leave you two alone during the consummation." Sandy breathed, eyes glowing as the crystal grew cloudy. "That's when she'll kill you."

Sandy gasped, taking her hands off the crystal as if it burned her, eyes returning to their green hue.

SpongeBob swallowed, folding his arms over his chest. "I, to be honest, I'm not ready for marriage." He said, biting his lip. "Sandy, I. . .I'll get you a room set up in the castle and have you appointed as your rightful title."

"Ya know I'll have to return home soon," Sandy replied, putting the crystal into her bag as she dispelled concealment. "I won't be able to stay long."

The sponge nodded, walking out of a cave and holding up a hand as Patrick got off his seahorse entirely ready to defend his friend from a kidnapper. "I'm fine, Pat. Let's just go home, and set up a room for Sandy." He said, glancing at her as she walked past the guards.

"Sandy?" Patrick asked, looking at her as well. "I thought she wasn't ever coming back. Something about an egg, ooo, I hope they were deviled eggs!" he shouted, clenching his hands together.

SpongeBob huffed in amusement, knowing that Sandy was pregnant with her first set of twins before she left. He just hoped that they were alright up on land and how soon they would visit.

Sandy swallowed as she looked at the room set up for her and felt a small wave of homesickness. The bed was big enough for all six of them but she doubted her husband and children would acclimate well to the amount of seafolk and their ways. Or at the very least, they would and worry over her too much.

She sighed, trying to focus on the task at hand. Keeping her best friend alive. She laid down in the bed, looking up at the crimson canopy. Tomorrow, she'd think of a plan tomorrow.
