Awakusu-Kai Headquarters
Five Years Ago
A dark and heavy rainy night in Ikebukuro, Awakusu-Kai Headquarters in which an important meeting is being held between all the high-ranking executives of the Awakusu-Kai in the Dougen's Awakusu's office like Aozaki, Kazamoto, Shiki, heir to the Awakusu after the Dougen. Mikiya Awakusu sitting at his father's desk and seat while the current head of the Awakusu is at home and the main individual who called to arrange this summit. Mikado Ryuugamine the new underground information broker of the Ikebukuro, Mikado is sitting directly across from three executives of the influential and powerful crime syndicate, the tensions are getting high concerning the circumstances and the Topic that are going to be discussed soon.
Mikado called this seat down of the upper-echelon of the Awakusu and heir to the crime syndicate itself who wanted first and foremost to make a deal involving the heir; Mikiya's daughter and so-called 'business relationship' as business partners perfectly clear in his own way.
"I'm glad you gentleman, took precious time out of your day today to have a talk with me" Mikado greeted the executives and future leader to the Awakusu-Kai with an obviously fake smile. "Now, let's get to it shall we"
Aozaki, Kazamoto, and Shiki are feeling unfamiliar overarching dread all at once and Mikiya is extremely worried fight about his 15 teenage daughter Akane, when Mikado sat down in his seat but they all put on serious expressions to hide their terror about what Mikado going to say next out of his mouth.
"Ryugamie, I mean info broker…" Aozaki replied, automatically distrusting the underground informant.
Aozaki still completely dislikes Mikado even now as an information broker of Ikebukuro, due to the fact when Mikado shot their boss of Awakusu; Dougen Awakusu at his own home.
"Now, let's talk things out people before distrusting one another just yet," Mikado taunted. "I just want to make a special deal and privileges with you the lowly Yakuza of Ikebukuro within all Toshima"
Aozaki had enough with Mikado's arrogant taunting and replied:
"HOW DARE YOU CALL US THE AWAKUSU, LOWLY!"
"YOU'RE JUST AN PATHETIC UNDERGROUND INFORMATION BROKER WHO PROFILES OFF OF PEOPLE!" Aozaki yelled, slamming his hand on the armrest of his seat where he sat.
Shiki shoot up from his seat next to Aozaki and Kazamoto, he thought that coming to this meeting with Mikado was an utter mistake in the first place and a waste of his time dealing with a special type of information broker like Mikado.
"Shiki, why are you leaving?!" Aozaki exclaimed, shouting at Shiki.
Shiki chagrined and shrugged at Aozaki's statement for losing his temper. "He wants something from the Awakusu and I highly recommend you do it before all of us in this room are six-feet under due to him." He then left the Dougen's office, where the meeting was taking place and went somewhere in the building to clear his head from the embarrassment of Aozaki's little outburst at the underground informant.
"Now that he's gone, I'm going to cut to the chase right now with the deal I'm making, I want your heir to your organization" Mikado bluntly exclaimed directly to two other executives left and Mikiya.
Mikiya's indifference expression to the informant then turns into unfiltered rage and clutches his face in anger in his seat, knowing exactly what Mikado is trying to do wanting his only daughter Akane Awakusu and future heir to the Awakusu as a hostage and bargaining chip to hang over the entire Awkusu-Kai's head, Mikiya replies:
"No way in hell, I'm letting you go even near Akane!" Mikiya snapped.
Now, Mikado with sudden and wide sadistic grin across his face, entertained at Akane's father reaction to his deal trying to coerce Awkusu then the info broker pulls out a photo slamming into the wooden coffee-table from his black business-suit front pocket of teenage 15 year old Akane Awakusu, Mikiya noticed from the picture it was clearly taking while she attending her first year at Raira Academy.
"HOW DID YOU?" Said Mikiya.
"You damned Bastard…" Mikiya remarked clearly scared for his only daughter's safety.
"Let me make things perfectly clear, I'm going to say this once and never again" Mikado stated with now a serious expression on him.
"I'm going to get special privileges in this lowly crime syndicate plus even added additional executives to the Awakusu Group as a see fit and private personal audiences with your boss, Dougen was it his name?" Mikado said displeased.
Mikado is completely unfazed by Mikiya's fury towards him not wanting to give up his daughter becoming someone else pawn for their own benefit like the last time, the Awakusu executives including Aozaki are utterly shocked at Mikado's arrogance towards their underboss of the Awakusu-Kai.
"No, we are not giving up Ms. Akane to you even if you force us…Ryuugamine" Aozaki exclaimed, angry towards Mikado.
The informant was even more pleased and excited with obvious reactions to the Mikado was trying to broker and replied:
"Even if I force you, that can be arranged, at the moment" Mikado smiled sadistically, then he put his hand in the air and snapped his fingers.
After the informant snapped his fingers, a squad of mysterious men broke through the door into the entrance to Dougen's office in the meeting room. The squad of Mikado's goons were dressed in black business-suits with green undershirts, black-tinted sunglasses, black fedoras, and red ties armed with various weapons. Pointing their guns at Mikiya at his desk, Kazamoto, and aiming at them, especially Aozaki, all three of them have their hand's being caught off guard.
"Now agree to the proposal or else, if you don't agree to my arrangement I'll personally destroy the Awakusu Group myself." Mikado with an arrogant grin, holding out his hand in front of Aozaki.
The executives and Mikiya's mind raced and quickly thought it over and replied:
"As long as it benefits the Awakusu Group and Ms. Akane doesn't get hurt…I'll take this deal you're forcing us to make," Aozaki replied, impressed by Mikado's skill as an information broker but still terrified of Mikado.
Aozaki then shook the information broker's hand, Mikado Ryuugamine, in agreement to his proposed arrangement.
"That's what I thought you would do, Shu Aozaki," Mikado with a satisfied and pompous smile towards Aozaki.
Mikado stood from his seat, right across from Aozaki and Kazamoto, strolled towards where the door used to be and stopped waiting for Aozaki's next response from him specifically.
"Nice doing business you guys, I hope maybe we can meet again soon" Mikado sarcastically said.
Mikado's armed squad of goons stopped aiming their weapons at the executives, Mikiya and Aozaki replies:
"Where's Akabayashi?" Aozaki exclaimed towards Kazamoto, Mikiya and especially Mikado. "He should have been here and I bet you had something to do with it didn't you little shit…"
Mikado walked towards Aozaki…stood there in front of him and wiped some shards of wood off of Aozaki's business-suit.
"Me and Mizuki-chan are not on good terms anymore and probably never will be after what he saw what I'm really like…oh well" Mikado replied, shrugging with a glowing condescending cold smile towards Aozaki mocking him.
Raira General Hospital
Present Day
-There is no one in the chat room-
-Mai has entered the chat room-
Mai: Oh wait, no one is on at the moment?
Mai: I wanted to chat with TarouTanaka, Saika or Setton….
Mai: About something important.
-TarouTanaka has entered the chat room-
Tanaka: Hello again, Mai
Tanaka: What's wrong Mai-San and where's Kuru? I haven't seen them for a while?
-Mai and TarouTanaka has entered private mode-
Mai: Mikado I want to talk to you and Anri.
Tanaka: what happened Mairu?
Mai: I'll give you the details when I get there, it's urgent, Kururi there's been an attempt on her life by someone or maybe an organization, there's probably a painted target on my back now as well.
Tanaka: Mai Aways
Mai: Thank you Mikado, I appreciate it.

-There is no one in the chat room-
Mairu, looking down at her screen, then swiping her finger closing the chat room app on the phone, Mairu is feeling guilt-written, while she's sitting down right next to Kururi's hospital-bedside, holding Kururi hand while Kururi is completely unconscious and hooked up to life support due to how severely injured and tortured she was when Mairu found her in there apartment. Kururi's arm and leg has casts on them, Mairu is waiting in her seat for Aoba and Kuon to arrive at the hospital.
"I'm sorry sis, I wasn't able to save you in time" Mairu depressionally said.
Mairu hears the door to Kururi's hospital room open, Aoba and Kuon both walk in with somber-looking expressions on their faces from the news Mairu told them about Kururi.
"We came as soon as possible, Mai," Kuon Said.
Aoba then walks over to Mairu putting his hand on her shoulder, while Mairu was sitting next to Kururi's bed.
"You're feeling get guilty-ridden aren't you?" Aoba guessed.
Mairu took a deep breath and many thoughts raced through her head about this unfortunate event then stood up from her chair.
"Yes," Mairu with tears started going down her face.
Mairu, feeling like she couldn't save Kururi in time, began to cry. She was near Kuon. She ran over embracing him while sobbing, wanting someone to comfort her. Kuon comforts his girlfriend back while Aoba watches, feeling regretful about Kururi's predicament.
She then stops the crying and wipes the tears off of her eyes.
"I'm fine now, guys" Mairu reassuringly exclaimed.
Aoba looks over to Kururi in her hospital bed, she is completely unconscious.
"Mairu, what did the doctor say?" Aoba asked.
"They said Kururi is going to be in a coma for at least a month give or take because of her very severe injuries," Mairu replied.
Mairu puts both of hands behind her head, removing the braid as she lets the rest of her long dark-brown hair flow down to her shoulders, shaking her head side to side with her hair completely down.
"What's with the new look Mai?" Aoba nervously asked.
Mairu began to sign the guilt of Kururi getting to her.
"It's nothing, Aoba," Mairu replied.
Mairu walks towards Aoba and replies:
"Can you stay here in the hospital until she wakes up and keeps my sister company?" Mairu asked.
Aoba puts his hand on Mairu's shoulder.
"Of course, aways" Aoba replied.
Aoba then sits down next to Kururi's hospital bed, taking Mairu's place to stay until Kururi wakes up from her coma eventually.
Mairu and Kuon walk out of Kururi's room and quickly exit the hospital a few minutes later.
Tokyu Hands
Mikado is standing atop a building on the roof and the edge of Tokyo Hands looking down upon the ordinary civilians and watching over his city, then Horada slowly walking towards near Mikado, Horada wearing his same black flashy-suit and green tinted-sunglasses when he bumped into younger Orihara Twin; Mairu.
"Horada, how was the Awakusu meeting you were in Today?" Mikado asked.
Horada put his hand behind his head and replied:
"Somewhat boring as usual but their Boss Dougen Awakusu is losing more control of the Awakusu Group even faster now that you installed me as a yakuza executive" Horada said with some confidence in his voice.
The information broker Mikado, still on the ledge of Tokyo Hands, Mikado turns around to look at Horada with a genuine smile at the news.
"Good, that's what I wanted to hear and one of the plans went smoothly," Mikado replied.
Mikado's little satisfied smile quickly went away when realizing Horada is here with him on-the-top of the building.
"What's wrong Boss?" Horada murmured to Mikado.
Mikado sighed at Horada's question.
"It's nothing, just go, just keep what you're doing in Awakusu and then maybe I'll give you the city…" Mikado said.
Horada left the Tokyo Hands leaving Mikado still on the roof, later getting off the edge of the building.
"I better go see what Anri is up to right now," Mikado said to himself.
Minutes Later
On the street at the bottom of Tokyo Hands and within Hands Plaza then Mikado hears familiar footsteps come right behind him as he's walking on his way to Anri at Sonohara Hall and then hears.
"MIIIIIIIKAAAADOOOOOOO!" Akabayashi screams at Mikado.
Akabayashi stood directly right behind Mikado after he screamed his name.
"Ah…Mizuki-chan, long time don't you think?" Mikado said smugly then he pulled Izaya's old switchblade-knife that he bought from Ikebukuro's black market.
"That's not my name, you little worthless blood-sucking insect," Akabayashi replied.
Akabayashi pointed the handle of his european-style cane at Mikado.
"Oh now you're more much like Shizu-chan right?" Mikado also pulled out his old Tokarev TT-33 out of his black business-suit, then arming the gun at Akabayashi while he held the and pointing the switchblade knife in the other hand. "Now let me go…."
All of a sudden, Mikado's red smartphone starts to ring with Vampire-Ninja-Carmilla-Saizou theme song as Mikado's ringtone through his suit as Mikado and Akabayashi are caught off guard for a second, especially Mikado himself, Mikado pulled out his phone and Anri was called him he picked up the call.
"Oh, Hello Anri, I didn't expect you to call me," Mikado said, dropping the gun and answering the phone with a cross between embarrassment and arrogance in front of Akabayashi without Anri knowing.
Mikado pretends to be innocent in front of Anri, his now girlfriend on the cellphone. After Mikado is done talking to Anri iis wanted Mikado to come back to Anri's family antique-store; Sonohara Hall to help her then he quickly hangs up the phone and walks away then starts to sprinting also replies to Akabayashi as he runs:
"We're going to have to postpone fighting Mizuki-chan again…duty calls I guess." Mikado said, as running off away from Akabayashi.
Akabayashi then goes after Mikado in kind.
"COME BACK HERE, DON'T COME TO IKEBUKURO AGAIN!" Akabayashi said, as he ran after Mikado.
Mikado goes to Sonhara Hall to see Anri as Akabayashi chases after him with Akabayashi intention to kill Mikado.
Ikburkuro
Near Anri's antique store. Sonohara Hall, Mairu and Kuon are walking around the city, as they are going to see Anri and Mikado to keep Mairu company until Kururi recovers in the hospital from her coma.
"You okay, Mai?" Kuon asked.
When Kuon asked that, Mairu then glared at Kuon with a measurable look on her face.
"Maybe…" Mairu replied with hands in hoodie-pockets and tired looking bags in eyes.
Mairu goes to hold Kuon's hand and her other hand is clearly shaking in fear. Kuon as he walks he looks at Mairu worried about her.
"Don't Worry Kururi is going to be okay…" Kuon said.
"I hope so," Mairu replied.
