Merry Christmas Everyone. I hope you all have a great and safe Christmas/holiday. Have fun and enjoy yourselves. But take time to think of those who can't be with you by distance, by illness, unable to travel or those that have past on. But also take time to think about the less fortunate.

And on a personal note to my Nan who passed this year. I'll miss you at Christmas the most. I love you and I hope you have quite the celebration in Heaven with the rest of our family and friends that have gone before you. I hope you know we will be thinking about you and everyone else at Christmas.
Love you guys and this Chapter is just as much for you as it is for everyone.

Chapter .3.
"Surprised? What lost for words or cat got your tongue?" Kate asks looking amused.
"Kate?"
"Caitlyn?"
Kate gives them a gentle smile knowing how much of a shock this would be for them.
"Yes I is really me. In the flesh as Tony would say", Kate replies.
Ducky looked like he was going to faint to Kelly and Kate helped him into a chair. Ducky could feel their hands helping me and now believed he wasn't imagining it.
"Caitlyn. How?" he asks.
Kate gives him a smile, "Long, long story and parts would make you question my sanity"
They look at her questionary. But Abby puts it aside because she had better things to do.
"KATE!" she shouts and pounces on the laughing Kate as she holds her back tightly.
"I have missed you too Abs", Kate replies.
She could feel Abby's tears falling on her shoulder. That made Kate sad and guilty. But there hadn't been another way two years ago. And even now it was very dangerous for her to be back here.
Abby pulls back and punches her in the shoulder.
"Why did you do it to us?" she asks.
"Things are complicated Abby. Still are", Kate replies.
"Kate", McGee says coming over for a hug.
Kate hugs him back, "Hey McGee, how have you been?"
"Been better", McGee replies pulling back.
"Good to see you again Agent Todd", Palmer tells her with a smile.
"You do Jimmy and thank you for everything you have done for HIM", Kate replies.
"He is my friend and he was in sore need of them then", he replies.
That confused the others who were they talking out? And what did it sound like Palmer knew Kate was alive?
Kate turns to the two people she didn't know.
"I am Kate Todd. Former Agent of NCIS", Kate tells them, "You must be Ziva David", she says holding out her hand to her.
Ziva hesitantly takes it and shakes it.
"Nice to meet you", Ziva replies.
"You too. I have heard a LOT about you", Kate replies.
She then turns to the Director.
"Ma'am I am former Spiecal Agent Caitlyn Todd. You must be Director Jenny Sheppard", Kate replies holding out her hand to her.
"Nico to met you Agent Todd. But this should be impossible", Jenny replies shaking her hand.
"Not impossible just not all details were as they seemed", she replies.
Kelly laughs, "Isn't that the truth"
"Are you are Stan Burley who replaced Tony on Team Gibbs", Kate states looking at the other man.
"Yes. But I never replaced him. They wouldn't allow it", Burley replies with a grimace.
Kate looks at them with a raised eyebrow.
"First you treat Tony like crap now his replacement?" Kate asks them.
They look ashamed but confused.
"How do you know that?" Abby asks her.
"Nobody outside NCIS knows that", McGee replies.
"Good thing it didn't. I heard it from the source", Kate replies smirking as their jaws drop.
"Tony. You have seen Tony?" Abby asks eye widening.
"I have", Kate confirms.
"How is he?"
"Is he ok?"
"Is he here?"
"When was the last time you saw him?"
"Does he know about Gibbs?"
Kate laughs, "Slow down and I'll answer as best I can. But first I need to see Gibbs and give him a message"
Kate walks over to the bed and leans down to whisper in his ear.
"Fight Gibbs. Come back to us. Tony and I order you to come back and don't go. We need you Gibbs. Even if Tony won't admit it he forgives you. And is doing everything he can to help you and bring her home. He has always been in your corner. Now it is up to you to prove your worthy of that. You can't do that if your asleep. So come back. And there will be a surprise waiting for you", Kate whispers.
Kelly smiles at her hearing her speech. But the others didn't as it was too low.
She straightens back up and goes to sit in a chair.
"So to answer your questions. Tony is ok last I heard. It has been a few weeks since I last saw him. Plus he is unreachable at the moment so I can't tell him about Gibbs. So he will have to find out on his own", Kate replies.
"How did Tony know your alive?" McGee asks.
"He was part of making it so it looked like I had died. After people, and not Ari, were coming after me", she replies.
"Not Ari? He did go after…", Ziva starts.
"No Ziva. He never wanted to do the things he did. He was forced to do them. The first chance he got to get out he took it. Including finding me and explaining his side of the story", Kate replies.
"He was a psycho Kate!" Abby yells.
"No Abs. He is a good actor", Kate replies.
That's when they hear the present tense Kate was talking in.
"Kate why are you talking in the present tense?" McGee asks.
She sighs, "I guess this is as good as time as any. But please don't shoot him. We will tell out story and then you can decide"
Kate sends a text with her phone.
"Caitlyn you mean…", Ducky leaves it hanging.
"Yes Ducky. But please let him explain", Kate begs.
"Caitlyn?" a voice calls in a distinct accent.
The group jumps as at the door was Ari Haswari.
Abby screams, "How is he alive?"
Ziva was swearing at Ari in Hebrew.
A nurse comes hushing in, "Is everything ok here?"
"It is fine. They were a bit startled to see my Husband", Kate replies, "They haven't seen me in a few years so it was quite a shock for them"
The nurse looks at them suspiciously.
"Alright. But keep it down", she replies before checking on Gibbs and leaving the room.
"Please everyone give Uncle Ari a chance. As he is not as bad as he appeared. And do you think Uncle Tony and Aunt Katie would let him anywhere never them and me if he was that bad?" Kelly begs them.
They were all shocked by Kelly's form of address for Kate, Tony and Ari.
They try to relax as Ari goes to where Kate was sitting and stands next to her slowly.
"Everyone I would like to formally apologies for what I did. Doctor Mallard I am especially sorry for what I did in Autopsy and what I did to your assistant. I will apologies to him when I can. But those groups you thought I was with, I wasn't, they were threatening those I cared about. So I had to follow it. Until Kate and Tony showed me a way out", Ari explains.
"And what about the shooting?" McGee asks.
"Decoy people. Who were willing to play the part of Caitlyn and myself. But I didn't fire the shoot that killed Kate's double that was another member of the terrorist origination. But Ziva killed my double, while I went with Kate to a secure location", Ari replies.
"Is his telling the truth. How would I be alive without that?" Kate asks them.
"What do you mean Ziva killed him?" Ducky asks.
"Gibbs shot him", Abby adds.
Ziva grimaces and explains everything and they were shocked at what they heard.
"I can't tell you Ziva how proud I am of you. You have nothing to feel guilty about. I am sorry that I put you in that position through", Ari tells her.
Ziva glares at him, "Like that would make it better"
"I just ask for a chance with you and them to give me a chance to prove myself to all of you. Anyone Agent Gibbs is likely to shoot me when he wakes anyway", Ari replies with a grimace.
"How is Kelly alive? How does Tony fit into this?" Jenny asks.
"Tony is the one who saved Mum and me", Kelly pipes up.
"Tony saved…Shannon is alive?" Jenny asks eyes wide.
"Yes", Kelly replies.
"Where is she then?" Jenny asks.
Kelly looks down looking upset.
"Shannon was taken by people that were after her. A terrorist cell. Tony is currently tracking them down to rescue her. That is why he isn't here. He has more important things to be doing", Kate replies.
"Tony is going after her and them alone?" Abby asks worried.
"Yes. And trust me we fear for him too. But he said this was something he had to do for Gibbs and Kelly", Ari replies, "I even offered to go with him. But he told me to protect Kelly with Kate with my life. That he didn't know if our new home was safe"
"Tony will likely kill us through when he finds out we are here", Kate states with a smile.
"Why?" McGee asks.
"Ah. We are not meant to be here. We are not meant to reveal we are alive at the moment", Ari replies.
"So your still in danger?" Abby asks worried.
"Yes. But sometimes risks are worth it to save those you love", Kate replies with a shrug.
The Team didn't know how to react to that. How much danger were they in?
"Now please explain the reason Tony quit. As I heard what you have done and I would like a explanation on WHY you did it!"
Kelly was whispering in her Dad's ear.
"I love you Daddy. I am right here. I am alive. Mum is alive. I will be here when you wake up. Please wake up. I have wanted to see you for ages, but Uncle Tony said it wasn't safe. Tony saved us Daddy and I hope you can forgive him from keeping it from you. He has been sad since he quit and angry at the start but the anger has calmed down and he WANTS to see if you have changed. But he is so busy. Mum was taken and Uncle Tony is tracking her down. I know he will he is good at that and keeping his promises. So are Auntie Kate and Uncle Ari. Wait to you see them Dad! Please don't kill Uncle Ari and just listen to his side of the story. But enough of that I want to tell you about my life. So here goes…"
Gibbs just knew he was surrounded by darkness. He didn't know what had happened or how he got there. The first voice he heard was vaguely familiar and filled him with confusion. But he didn't know why.
'Fight Gibbs. Come back to us. Tony and I order you to come back and don't go. We need you Gibbs. Even if Tony won't admit it he forgives you. And is doing everything he can to help you and bring her home. He has always been in your corner. Now it is up to you to prove your worthy of that. You can't do that if your asleep. So come back. And there will be a surprise waiting for you', the voice whispers.
Why was that voice so familiar and fill him with confusion as a scene flashes through his head with the sound of a gunshot.
But before he could think farer on that he was hearing a sweet voice that sounded so familiar. And somehow filled him with hope.
'Come back Daddy. Come back', he hears, 'I miss you Daddy. But Uncle Tony has been taking good care of me…'
Gibbs listens to the voice like it was his lifeline. Like it was guiding him back home…
Tony was walking through the Sudan terrain. As he had tracked Shannon this far and used some of his contacts to at least get a possible location for her. Soon he should be able to see what he was dealing with.
But why was his gut churning?...
