Me: Ok, y'alls, before I start on this chapter, I just wanna say, thank you all for reading this story, it means a lot to me.
I also wanted to say that this chapter might get a bit gory, and there is one important scene that you should know about before this chapter begins, cause I am doing a time skip to about a month after the last chapter, and so basically, Bright-Light confesses that he loves Fawn, and he sings asks her out on a date, and they kiss and all that...
Anyways, the two lovebirds get together and are happy, but things might not last now that Evil forces are coming to attack Camp Half-Blood
So on that bright note...
On with the story!
Bright-Light P.O.V.
"This battle is coming, and nothing that you, or the gods can do about it." I said to the head counselors of the other cabins, we were all around the Ping-Pong table at the Big House,
"How would you know that Bright-Light?" Clarisse yelled at me, we were fighting about this battle that is going to happen within a couple of days, against the Dark forces
I didn't answer her
"How would you know that Bright-Light?" she asked again glaring at me
"Because I've fought them before, and…" I answered stopping short
"And what?" she gestured for me to continue
"And I've trained with them before… before I found out about my ancestry... and who I am," I continued "but then, we betrayed each other, now, I've sworn to fight them and rid them off of the face of the Earth at whatever cost." I gave her my signature, If-you-argue-or-mess-with-me-you-will-die-'cause-I-don't-like-you glare, which I have practiced to perfection on bullies, jerks, and pretty much any kind of person that no one likes…
She backed down, but Nico didn't
"You trained with them?" he asked me, glaring
I didn't even try to shut him up using my glare, I knew him well enough to know that glaring at him would never shut him up, guess that comes from being Hades's child, and a child of the Big Three…
"Yes," I said glaring back at him anyways "I've trained with them, they tricked me into fighting/training with them, so just shut up Nico,"
I felt Fawn put her hand over mine, to try to calm me down, my eyes were probably glowing again, I stormed out of the Big House and to my cabin, I couldn't lose control. The last time that had happened, the last time I lost control…
Flashback
Third-person P.O.V. (no audible dialogue except for a couple of screams, sorry)
Bright Light and the Guardians, facing an army in black armor, in a damaged city, fires raging all around them, and a dead body in between the two armies. Bright Light's eyes glowing, an aura glowing around him, both bright white, like shining water, white fire, crumbling earth, and who knows what else, and pitch black...
His armor began to glow too, and suddenly he was as bright as a star, an explosion resulting around him, blowing away all of the Guardians, and eliminating half of the dark army, the rest of which charged at him. He lunged at them, destroying everyone and everything in his path. Within seconds, only the dark armies commander was left, and he turned into a fiery void, and they both launched themselves at each other, clashing multiple times, the dark aura slowing down each strike, while the white aura was speeding up.
Then, with a scream, the dark warrior disappeared…
He was dead…
But the bright warrior was without control. He was rampaging, destroying everything in his path the other warriors tried to knock him down, and control him, nothing and no one was able to stop him.
The civilians around the area screamed, running away from the glowing Bright-Light. Finally, one of the armored warriors threw a red vial at Bright-Light, making it shatter against his neck, instantly knocking him out, and collapsing…
Flashback Ends
It can't happen again, not here, not now
Bright-Light P.O.V.
(Timey Skippy to Battley Dayey, Yayey)
A/N: T . T = (sad face emoji)
"You know I don't want you to be in this battle," I told Fawn
"Why? Everyone else is about to fight in it, why should I be any different?" she answered
"Becau-" I stopped, seeing the look in her face, "it doesn't matter you would end up making me let you into the battle anyways"
"Because you can't say no to my beautiful face?" she asked with a sly smile on her face
"I- yes" I admitted, kissing her forehead,
The horn sounded, roars could be heard, from both monsters, and demigods, both armies charged, the Guardians and the seven leading the charge…
The battle had begun
I hacked, slashed, cut down monsters left and right, me, the Guardians, and the Seven were causing death and destruction as the two armies collided and clashed, a spear was thrown at me, I dodged it, the tip missing me by inches, but the demigod behind me wasn't so lucky, they fell with a scream, a medic somehow already there dragging them out of the battle, I quickly glanced at them, and I realized who it was…
It was Fawn
I ran after them, past our demigod lines, and I knelt beside her while the medic, Will Solace, tried to get her to take some Nectar and some Ambrosia, but she wouldn't take it, while blood was gushing out of her punctured side, (A/N: sorry, I kinda had to add it to this)
"Please take it Fawn, I- I can't lose you. I- I love you" I cried to her, tears streaming down my cheeks, a pain in my chest where my heart was slowly being shattered to pieces,
She choked out "it's my time, Bright-Light, I- I love you too, I wish it were different." she gasped, breathless "I wish I could stay longer, but it's time, Good-bye my love" and with that, her eyes closed, and she breathed for the last time.
"No, No No NO NOO NOOO!" I said getting louder with each no, tears were gushing down my cheeks, my vision changed, it turned blurry, and then it turned black-and-white, my armor glowed, my eyes and skin too, I screamed, freezing the entire battlefield, the two armies slowly and quietly shuffling away from each other, scuffling the earth below them, nervous
I glared at the dark army, with a glare worthy of Lupa herself. I growled at them, amplifying my voice so that they could all hear me, like as if I yelled right next to them,
"You're all dead!"
Percy P.O.V. (cause Bright-Light can't tell you anything of what is happening)
"You're all dead!" yelled Bright-Light, everything about him, glowing, not like how he usually glows, this was like a bright star, making him hard to look at.
Annabeth gasped beside me, her hand intertwined with mine, man I love this girl, argh, off-topic Percy,
Anyways, I was just finishing getting my mind off of Annabeth, when I say Bright-Light charge at the monster army, the other Half-Bloods tried to charge too but were stopped by the Guardians, who yelled
"Stop! He can't tell Enemy or Friend apart right now! You've got to stay back!"
"We can't let him charge them alone! That's suicide!" yelled Percy at them
"If you go, any of you go, THAT'S suicide, he'll kill you like your in his way, trust me," said Master, "shut up, and watch all of you, you'll want to see this"
We looked back at the fight, and surprisingly-unsurprisingly, all the monsters were all piles of yellow dust, and only one being remained, the general, a tall fair-skinned woman with glossy long black hair, and beautiful black armor that hugged her body in all the places that made her seem more enticing.
Get yourself together Percy, you've got Annabeth
"You've gotten slow Brightsy" the general said
"You lost the privilege to call me that millenia ago Dark-White, and again now" responded Bright-Light, his voice low, wild, his brightness dimmed slightly then flared back up again
"Oh, come on, lose the act, you've always loved me, and I just took away the slut you were cheating on me with" the woman identified as Dark-White snarled
"I'VE TOLD YOU FOR MILLENIA! WE'RE THROUGH!" he screamed, "and I DON'T love you, i haven't for years, I loved Fawn, you took away the one person I love!" he snarled, his voice getting more savage, he glowed brighter, so bright that Apollo would be jealous,
The woman sighed, and let out an aura the exact opposite of Bright Light's "THEN I'LL JUST HAVE TO KILL YOU!" she screamed, her voice high, wild, and savage
The two fighters lunged at each other, and blew apart multiple times, getting faster and faster, and ended up taking the fight to the skies, circling each other, and striking at one another, breaking apart, and repeating. If you've ever seen two bald eagles in a mating dance, this looked similar to that, just one was pitch black and leaving behind a dark trail, and the other was pure white, with a white trail, and a lot more dangerous, and they were trying to kill one another.
This went on for a full hour, but with my ADHD it felt like a few minutes, and the two airborne fighters were only just now showing signs of slowing down, and then, the bright warrior threw the dark one at the ground with mighty boom, that was even louder than Zeus's Master Bolt.
Their auras faded, but their eyes still glowed, and both full of hate, Bright-Light's sword at her throat,
"I told you you were dead." he growled, sending shivers down our spines
Her eyes darkened in defiance, "Do your worst!" she said
He didn't respond, instead, slicing her throat open, not too deep, but enough to cut open her windpipe, disabling her ability to breathe, her blood drowning her, her eyes grew wide, then he sliced open her stomach, her blood and guts spilling out.
Then, he raised his glowing red blood-stained sword, and struck down, right through her heart, instantly killing the female warrior.
"And now you're dead" he snarled one last time at her dissolving body. His eyes dimmed and rolled back in his head, collapsing.
We all rushed to him, worried, everyone begging him to wake up, not even Piper's Charm Speak worked.
"Come on! Someone get Fawn, she's the only one he listens to!" Annabeth yelled at the others
"We can't," said Nico, Will, and Master
The Seven rounded on them, "WHY IN TARTARUS NOT!" we screamed
"Because she's dead," we said
Everyone was shocked, the daughter of Apollo wasn't in camp for long but she was already very much well-liked and loved by the whole camp, without her, there would be something missing from the camp.
"That's why he went Supernova," Master told us
"Supernova?" asked Annabeth, "You mean how he just looked like this bright star?"
"A Supernova" nodded Snake, one of the younger Guardians, with copper brown hair, yellow eyes with slits instead of pupils, coppery skin, and faster than lightning reflexes, hence the name Snake.
"We all can do it, humans, demigods, the gods, titans, primordials and us Guardians alike, everyone has it in one way or another, but most can't access it, really, just the Guardians can fully access it, like Bright-Light just did, but we can't control what we do when we're in that state, that's why we told you guys to stand back, and that's why Bright-Light was so violent just now." explained Master, seeing our confused faces.
"The gods, titans, and primordials can access it too, but they can only access partially when they show their true form, that's why if a living thing looks upon them in that form, they burn up and die. But since we can access it fully, you don't die when you look at us when we are in that state, since we are completely supernova, YOU get supercharged, and you won't die, but the downside is, we can't control our actions in that state as they are controlled solely by our emotions, usually anger, grief, sadness, strong emotions like that," said Bright-Light, who had regained consciousness, surprising all of us.
Those close to him, so basically the Guardians, Will, Nico, and the Seven, myself included, crowded around him, giving him their condolences, wow big word there, focus Percy, focus.
Anyways, Nico even went to hug him, surprising everyone including Will.
"We're sorry about Fawn, Bright-Light," we all told him
"It's ok, it happens, I once was told that I had a heart of stone, I love Fawn, but she's gone now, because I didn't block that spear," his fists tightened, "but ultimately it was Dark-White's fault, she launched this attack, and now she's dead" his eyes flashed pitch black, then went back to their usual color, or colors, no one knows what color his eyes are, anyways…
Then Piper noticed something a bit strange, well, stranger than usual.
"Bright-Light! Your hair, it's turning white!" she exclaimed
A/N: Did that sound a bit too much like that one line in Frozen when Anna and Kristoff fall off that cliff after they go to Elsa's ice castle to anyone else?
Bright-Light shook his hair, bringing some more of it into his eyes, it was turning whiter, he was getting more streaks of pure white-colored hair that was whiter than snow.
"Well, I guess it is," he shrugged, "it happens every time I go supernova, dunno know why, don't really care either."
"Well-" began Annabeth, only to be interrupted by Bright-Light
"Just drop it ok?" he snapped, turning towards his cabin, saying "I'm going to bed" as he stalked off to his cabin, a slight limp in his step
When he got to his cabin, all of the campers either went to retrieve the bodies so that we could give them a funeral, to fix up the defenses, straight to their cabins, or to heal the wounded, except for the Seven and the Guardians
"Is he going to be ok?" asked Piper
"He just lost the one he loves, that hurts, it makes you feel like you let them down because you couldn't do more." said Hazel
"It hurts you, losing the people you love to the people you hate, especially when your like him, or like us." said Snake
We all looked at him, it sounded like he knew something like this could've happened, and because of the sad look in his eyes, that was in the eyes of all of the other Guardians.
"What- what do you mean?" asked Jason
"As Guardians, we aren't really supposed to fall in love or really have close relations with people, to protect them, and because of that, when we do fall in love and things like that, and we lose them, it hurts," answered Master, "especially for Bright-Light, for him, his fatal flaw is his insensitivity, the fact that he pretty much has a heart made of stone all the time, and that has made his heart kinda fragile, and so whenever someone gets past that barrier he has around himself, and into his heart…" he trailed off
"He shatters," finished Annabeth
"Yeah" agreed Master
I don't know a whole lot, but I do know that that's not good for you, and I'm worried about Bright-Light, we all are.
Chapter end
Me: so, uh, that seemed a little depressing to me, anyone else? I feel like I am really mean to Bright-Light, he's a good guy and then I tear away the one he loves…
*silence*
Me: Anyways! Hope you enjoy it, don't forget to fave, follow, and review! MERRY CHRISTMAS! HANUKKAH, OR WHATEVER YOU CELEBRATE
