Marcy's Recovery

Chapter 1

It had been a month since Anne saved both Sasha and Marcy from both King Andrias and The Core, sadly sending the Planters home and destroying the Calamity Box in the process.

Anne had noticed a very prominent change in Sasha as she had been very helpful in saving Marcy and decided to give Anne some space due to how she felt about her pushing Anne around, it was nice.

However, around Christmas, Anne learned that Marcy's family had moved not just out of state but out of country, unable to contact them due to them also changing phone numbers.

Ever since, Marcy has been staying at the Boonchoy household, Anne had asked for her to stay not just because of her housing situation but because of her mental and emotional state as well, it was clear she needed help.

Even after a month, Marcy had bags and raw skin marks under her eyes from crying and rubbing her eyes, her hair was messy, her body constantly shaking, she was a mess, Anne didn't want her on the street in her condition, if at all.

Anne had been tasked with taking care of her as her parents didn't have the time due to their restaurant, Anne was hesitant due to what she had learned when andrias betrayed them, she may still care for Marcy but she felt she could get over her betrayal, especially after what she had been through because of it.

Now, as Anne was sitting on her bed next to Marcy who was laying down, sniffling as she was finally starting to calm down a bit after a little over a month, Anne started to feel more trusting in Marcy with each day, it was clear that she had definitely learned her lesson, it helps that she's mumble 'I'm sorry' every time Anne entered the room.

Anne thought for a moment before speaking.

"Marcy… I forgive you…"

Anne said, smiling softly as she stared at the tv, however Marcy had stopped sniffling and was staring right at Anne, her tears had stopped, only soft whimpers came from her before she finally spoke properly to Anne for the first time in a while.

"D-do you mean it?…"

Marcy said, her left arm slowly wrapping around Anne's right, gripping onto her hand.

Anne looked over, seeing a sight she'd never forget, Marcy, even in her messy state, was smiling wider than she'd ever seen her, Anne paused for a moment before her brain finally allowed her to speak but not before a soft blush appeared on Anne's cheeks

"Y-yes Marcy… I do… m-mean it I mean! Heh…"

Anne started to have a weird feeling in her chest that she hadn't felt before, it made her throat dry and her stomach feel off

"B-but umm… I'm gonna go make you your dinner! I'll be right back!"

Anne said in a quick and frazzled manner, rushing down the stairs before collapsing on the couch as she breathed softly.

"I-is this ptsd or something?… I… it's hard to breathe…"

Anne said, at first thinking it was ptsd from all the battles she's been through, She couldn't seem to get Marcy's face out of her head however, She got up and walked to the kitchen to get herself some water, chugging it down out of what she thought was stress.

"I'm ok… I'm fine… yeah… let me just… cook… yeah…"

She said, cooking up a storm, she was always really good at cooking, especially now since she'd been doing it so much for Marcy.

Anne eventually walked back upstairs, tray in hand as she walked back into her and Marcy's shared bedroom.

"Hey Marcy… I made some umm… uhh…"

Anne said before she lost her train of thought as she looked at Marcy again, she was softly smiling again, looking her in the eye, Anne began to feel her throat dry again.

"H-here Marcy umm… just eat and umm… I'll-"

Anne said before being interrupted by Marcy.

"Umm… would you sit next to me while I eat?… I just wanna talk more since… we're finally making up…"

Marcy had said, Anne's face turning more and more red, she simply nodded and walked over, sitting next to her on her bed.

Anne felt her body reacting to all of this, she couldn't sit still, her mind running at 100 mph, her skin a bit red and her voice quieted down.

Marcy and Anne had talked for about an hour before Marcy said something that made Anne nearly vomit, however not because she was grossed out in the slightest, once Marcy said this, she realized what was wrong with her.

"Hey Anne… I missed this… hanging out with you and just relaxing… I… love you… your like a sister to me…"

With that, Anne ran for the closest bathroom, not saying anything as she ran off, vomiting heavily into the toilet as she raised her head up afterwards, her eyes tearing up from both how she felt physically and emotionally, thinking to herself this sentence.

"Oh no… I'm in love with Marcy…"
